What Goes Better with Magic than a Rabbit?

This was a commission for Solerum that I was a bit worried about, but in the end I think it turned out well!

Comment/fave/vote! Mostly comment!

"Flanel, would you please hurry out of the bathroom? Your sister still needs a turn in there." A commanding voice interupted through the solid oak that made up the bathroom's door. The spray of the shower nearly muffled her voice enough to claim he hadn't heard her, but Flanel knew that would only escalate her irritation and instead shot back with a bland response of: "I'm going! I'm going!"

Though in the privacy of the bathroom he corrected the woman- "Half sister," He thought with an outward grumble. "She's only my half sister..." However, half-sister or not, if she didn't have hot water for her shower, Flanel knew there would be hell to pay so he hurried himself out of the water and into the hot steam of the rest of the room. His dark chestnut hair swooped over his forehead in long bangs that hid his eyes from view as he proceeded to brush his teeth, idly studying the large front teeth that his sister so often teased him for.

"Come on, Flanel!" Another voice demanded at the door, this time matched with a pair of fists lightly pounding at the wood. The sound of her feet shuffling with her annoyance audible without the loud shower covering such sounds, giving Flanel another sound to pound at his head with.

"Sheesh! Calm down! I'm coming out!" He complained, rolling his eyes at her antics when there wasn't even school to be rushing to, only the garage sales that she regularly attended as a way to save money towards her goal of college. Lucky for him, both parents had decently paying jobs and they would be funding his education once school ended for him this year. HIs sister, Maryll, however was left to struggle to pay for her own shortly after when she finished high school in only three more years- even taking on a part-time job.

In this particular moment, being rushed out of the warm embrace of the hot steam of the room and into the cold chill of the hallway, Flanel didn't feel particularly sorry for the girl and her plight. In fact, he left the bathroom grumbling about how things would have been if his mother, his father's first wife, had survived through childbirth. If she was still around, Maryll and her accompanying, over-protective, obviously-biased mother would never have jumped into the picture.

As it was though, Flanel was left with Megan and Maryll, the women his father adopted into their lives for the sake of love. "Bah, I wish he had chosen to live as a bachelor. Then we wouldn't have these issues." He mumbled, glancing back behind him as the bubbly blonde, Maryll let herself into the bathroom. The warm steam he had left behind visibly wafting out into the hallway, making Flanel shiver in his towel while one hand curled around his doorknob and let himself into his room.

***

Entering the bathroom behind her half-brother, Maryll had complaints of her own she wished to voice. Her mind filled with held in curses towards her older sibling as he brushed past her; dropping a spray of water from his hair onto her nightgown. "He never pays any attention to anyone else. He hasn't even considered what I go through versus him!" She spat into the empty bathroom, finding the stress she felt constantly mounting oozing out of her again with her irritation. "First he he hogs the college money! Now he hogs the hot water! What next!?" She ranted to herself, absently going through the motions of re-starting the shower's warm spray while she slipped out of her nightgown and into the shower.

"If he just spent five minutes with me, actually listening to what I go through every week he might actually understand something, but no! He thinks his own life is the only one that matters! That because Math was with his mom first it somehow makes my mother lesser! That's hogwash!" She was seething now, so fed up with her brother after she had yet another late night at work, going home smelling of grease to find that her brother had used all the hot water when he showered that night before bed, leaving her with the choice of an ice-cold shower of a deep-fried bed. To make matters worse, yesterday at school, during a conference with her counsellor about her plans for the future and her preparations for college. The blind old bat had confused her file with her brother's and dismissed her by saying- "Well you obviously don't have a thing to worry about!" and had shut the door before Maryll had even opened her mouth to complain!

"This entire situation..is sickening.." Maryll grumbled, just starting to lose steam for her one-sided argument when suddenly the water pelting against her shoulders and hair dropped a degree in temperature, before plummeting into a frigid sleet.

"Gah! Flanel!" She yelped, leaving the shower now with a scowl.

***

"Great!" Flanel hissed through his teeth while staring blankly into his closet and using most of his attention to listen to the conversation happening in the hallway between Maryll and her mother, Megan.

So far, in the *lovely* conversation, Maryll had accused Flanel of every single crime imaginable besides creating the Holocaust himself, though it was only 45 seconds into the tirade, that could come in later.

"He doesn't listen to me. He doesn't pay attention to my life! My situation! He acts like I'm an adopted freak that shouldn't be acknowledged! He's getting his life taken care of while I'm getting ignored!" She was shouting, the sound of her loud, rough breathing audible through the wall of Flanel's bedroom.

After a short beat, Flanel took a step closer towards the wall, not wanting to miss how Megan tried to diffuse the situation.

"Now, Maryll, would it help if he spent some time with you? Maybe he could join you this afternoon? Under a truce flag? No more attacks towards each other?" Megan tried to speak in an even tone, though her voice was strained with her own annoyance. For, as much as she preferred her own daughter over the leftovers from Math's first marriage, she didn't want to listen to their incessant irritation with each other.

"Mother! That wouldn't help! He would have to be an all new creature for him to ever be something enjoyable to spend time with! Don't you get it? He's just a bad human being! He doesn't deserve it! He doesn't use his brain like a human should! He doesn't work! He barely tries at school anymore! He spends all day snacking and laying around! It's ridiculous!" Maryll's voice had gotten louder, echoing slightly in the long hallway. Her outrage making her voice increase in pitch, giving her a squeaky quality as she finished that made Flanel smirk to himself, though his amusement didn't last long as he realized where this was going to end up.

"It's already settled. He will join you for your afternoon of shopping and later tonight, since your father will be busy with work till late, we will do something as a family of three." Megan stated, already starting to turn and walk the other direction before she added, "No argument." and continued down to the kitchen.

***

"Are you kidding me..This isn't even what I wanted. She is as bad as him sometimes.." Maryll grumbled, scowling at the floor as she trudged over towards her brother's door, still dressed in only her robe, to inform him of the decision their mother had made. Her forehead wrinkled with annoyance at what she would have to be saying to her half-brother when the door swung open to show him only half dressed, ten minutes after his shower.

"Ugh..." She found herself whining, as if disgusted by the state she had found him in before she realized that she actually had a reason for coming here.

"Mom says you have to spend the afternoon with me."

"Yes? And whose fault is that?" He demanded, with an arrogant smirk painted over his lips as he leaned against his doorframe, seemingly unbothered by the sentence of sibling bonding time that had been bestowed upon him. In fact, he seemed to be enjoying the fact that her complaining had her complaining about the outcome of her complaining. It was an ironic circle to be caught in.

Maryll stammered for a moment, wincing with her own stupidity for a moment before she scowled at him once again. "Yours for making me blow up in the first place."

Flanel paused a moment, wondering if she would realize on her own what a ridiculous statement that had been before he responded; "If you had just shut your mouth and dealt with your issues yourself, this wouldn't be happening right now and you can't blame your flapping piehole on me." His tone was even, but his face showed his true annoyance, especially his eyes that practically glowed with his exasperation with her.

The comment left her sputtering, a hoarse sound finally leaving her throat before she turned on her heel. "Be ready to leave in an hour."

***

"Stupid girl.." Flanel grumbled to himself after watching her stomp back to her bedroom in her plush, pink robe. The ensemble making her look ridiculous while she threw her little tantrum, but it provided nothing but entertainment for him.

Now faced with only an hour before he had to leave, Flanel did what any smart, teenage boy would do to prepare for the intense pressure he would be under not to murder the wench on the pavement of some pack rat's driveway. He sat down at his desk, summoned his favorite webpage, and masturbated furiously.

***

"Gah! I hate him! I hate him! I hate him! I hate him! I wouldn't care if he didn't even exist anymore!" Maryll muttered while she dug through the first drawer of her dresser. Her robe still tied tightly beneath her breasts as she sought for a pair of panties.

Stepping into the lacey garment, her rant continued. "If he says one rude thing! One! I swear I will beat him to death with a used croquet mallet! No! Better yet, I'll beat him till his shrunken grape of a penis falls off! Humiliation over pain!" She huffed to herself as her private diatribe continued as she clasped her bra. Her body bending over at the waist to situate her chest into the garment.

"If he thinks that I am going to let him be a smug little bastard and ruin my afternoon he is sadly mistaken! I'm going to have a blast!" A strangled, almost maniac-like laugh left her throat as she wriggled down into a pair of shorts. "I am going to find the best purchase of the season! Of my life!" She laughed again, grinning to herself in the mirror like a woman with a plan as her shorts were buttoned.

Now, left with only a shirt and the fire that fueled her ranting twiddling, Maryll let her words slip out in a subdued tone. "I am going to get him. He won't see it coming till it hits him." Her words hung in the air for a second after she spoke, as if lingering long enough for the secretary of the universe to record the promise, marking it down in permanent ink while Flanel was oblivious, locked behind his closed door.

***

"Ungh..Stupid witch.." Flanel grumbled, unfazed by the promise his sister had made privately with the open air of her room. His own mind focused on his own length filling his palm, throbbing with procured arousal from the video streaming in front of him, the volume low but enough to leave the over-dramatized moans audible to the young man as he drew pumped his hand over his girth, growing increasingly more frantic with each passing second, each whimpery, female moan from the tinny speakers, each bob down of the woman on screen's head building up the pressure in his sensitive head. The hard throb of his heartbeat pumped through his length, sensitivity stretched over the inches curled within his fingers, causing jerks, squeaks of shocked pleasure, and the zing of unexpected pleasure from a grazing touch from a stray finger.

"Ahh..Here it comes.." He mumbled to himself as his head fell back slightly, loose at the neck, and his eyes slide shut, losing himself into the image in his head that would push him over the edge. The pressure was right at the edge. His orgasm teetering on the ridge of the cliff, ready to fall over the edge into ecstasy till he was interrupted with a shrill; "Flanel! Get out here! I'm leaving!"

At the sound of his sister's voice, ringing in the room with a tortuous echo of the demanding tone, all of the pressure in his head drooped back, the high of his impending orgasm fell away, and he was left with a painful throb of the blood trapped in his groin to weakly retreat back to his body.

"Ugh! I'm coming!" He groaned before he stumbled back out of his chair and towards his closet to dress, quickly.

***

Maryll grumbled to herself as she shifted from foot- to- foot at the door. A purse dangled over her shoulder, hanging about to her hip where it bounced idly with her anxious movement caused by the lag in her smooth exit from the house caused by Flanel, who had yet to come out of his bedroom correctly clothed.

"Would you hurry up!? You're wasting time! The sale starts in five minutes and if I'm not there right away people will snatch up the best buys!" She practically growled under her breath, though she tried to hide her plain irritation in the logical reasoning she had presented. She would lose out of the best deals and purchases if they arrived later than opening, that was true fact.

"Why don't you leave me here then?!" Flanel shouted back, his own irritation flooding his voice like a poison that made it ring sharply throughout the house in a way Maryll's hadn't, reaching the ears of their mother in the kitchen.

"I heard that! You're going! Now get out there, Flanel, and leave with your sister." Megan shouted back, eager to have the house to herself without the two bickering teens around to distract her from her own hobbies.

"Step-sister.." Maryll muttered.

"Step- sister!" Flanel shouted back, but he quickly emerged from his bedroom, fully clothed and with a look of hatred plastered over his face. His eyes flickered over Maryll, as if surveying what she was wearing, though in truth he was picturing what it would be like to kick her, right in the shin.

With a shake of his head, he cleared the violent thoughts that had bubbled to the surface and headed to the door, brushing past the younger girl with a careless bump into her purse, knocking it to the ground.

"Hurry up!" He snapped while he watched her drop to the ground to gather her purse. A scowl painted over her lips when she straightened back up and stormed to the car.

"You are a wretched being." She mumbled softly. Her eyes staring over at him for a moment before she wordlessly dropped her gaze away and slid herself into the passenger seat while Flanel circled around to the driver's.

"If I am so wretched, why did you complain to mommy and force me to go on your stupid garbage hunt anyways?" He countered while he started the car. The soft rumble of the engine drifted in behind their conversation, filling the silent pauses with a growl of the car.

"I didn't ask for her to do this! Besides, maybe if we just try to get along then it will go quicker. She said white flag, remember? Truce?" Maryll presented, though she had no change of heart. She simply realized that if she was fighting with Flanel the entire time, her garage saling really would be ruined so she needed him to be nullified at least for a few hours and leave her to shop.

For a minute, Flanel was silent. As though he didn't understand the words that she had said. "I guess...That works." He finally leaked out, though his mind was still blank, turning over his sister's sudden change in attitude.

A slow smile crossed onto Maryll's face, "Wonderful. Let's shop!"

***

"What time is it? Are we here on time? Do you see a lot of other people? Do you see anything cool? Anything pink? Green? Argh! Drive faster, Flanel! What time is it?" As they approached the address of the advertised sale that Maryll was most looking forward to, she couldn't contain her flood of excitement and worry at missing out at the best things. Flanel could only sit silently while he listened to the deluge of questions, as he focused on the crowded road and driveway, hoping to find a parking space that would shut Maryll up.

"There! There's a spot!" Maryll shrieked, her butt even jumped out of its chair with her exclamation. "Don't let that minivan get in! Get back you fiend!"

If he wasn't truthfully terrified of being hit by the approaching, pea-soup colored minivan, her shouting would have been funny. However, in that particular moment, the driver of the mini-van seemed to be as concerned as Maryll was, with the added element of driving a beast of a car.

Once parked safely into the small spot, Flanel stepped out, locked the car, and glanced back once more at the minivan returning to the start of the busy street where it could park. "Are they always this insane?" He asked, looking to Maryll as she hefted her purse onto her shoulder and moved up towards the sidewalk.

"Not always, only when they look like they'll be really good or they have large or specific items listed in the ad. Then people will come for the specific items." She explained before making her way across the sidewalk to the sale even the rush of small children out of a nearby vehicle didn't deter her from reaching the first table of items. Her eyes dropped to the spread of things and her focus was locked, leaving Flanel to idly wander the sale.

***

Scanning each table as she inched her way past it, Maryll had yet to see anything worth while; a cell phone case that had a crack, a cute wallet, but she had a wallet, a pair of shoes one size too small. This trend continued till she spotted a rather oversized box, too wide to be a shoe box. Curious, Maryll darted to the table it rested on, staring down at the item to investigate it.

The box was obviously old, with the faded colors of something from years ago. Despite its fading, Maryll could make out the title on the front; "The Young Magician's Kit." The letters were splayed proudly across the front, with the word 'Magician's' in a dusty, aged red that would once have been bright and gleaming on the fresher version of the kit. Beneath the letters, was a cartoon-like image of a young boy holding a top hat and a wand while he performed some sort of trick. At the bottom edge, the small, white price sticker had been pressed down: "$20" it read.

"Ouch..That's a little high.." Maryll thought to herself, though she didn't pull her gaze away from the gawdy box. Her attention still held with the curiosity of what would be inside, maybe she could perform a show for her friends!

With a small smile appearing on her lips, Maryll scooped up the box- finding it heavier than she expected, a good sign. "This could be the top purchase.." She told herself while she headed to the check-out table to pay.

***

From across the expanse of the driveway which was covered with lines of tables and throngs of people shopping, Flanel spotted Maryll scoop up something. Though from the distance he was at, he couldn't tell what it was, a huge box from the looks of it.

"It's probably a medieval torture device she's going to put to use on me.." He thought to himself, cracking a smile at his own little joke while he moved to meet her so they could leave.

As he approached the check-out, Maryll had just paid. A whole twenty dollar bill left her hand and no change came back. "What did you buy?" He asked, trying to glance at the box, but the younger teen had it held to her chest protectively.

"Nuh uh uh!" She scolded, almost grinning at the boy as she hurried to the car, sitting and clutching the box to her chest while he got in. "You'll see it later!"

Left confused about her purchase and why she was so secretive about it, Flanel shrugged and started the engine with an eager foot on the gas, excited to get home once again and retreat to the solitude of his bedroom.

***

Maryll jumped up, even giving a small squeak of excitement when they reached their own driveway again. Her excitement to investigate the contents of the Magician's kit leaving her giddy and unaffected by her brother's presence, despite his pouting at not knowing what she had purchased.

"Thanks for coming with me!" She chirped, grinning widely as she headed to the house, eager to investigate her purchase! Proof that she could have a good time even with her brother being there! Being so excited about this would put the blame for their tension on her brother, at least in her mother's eye- which was just what she wanted.

Inside, in the kitchen, Maryll dropped the box onto the smooth surface of the counter island. Her eyes once again sweeping over the unique cover of the package as she settled into one of their bar stools, leaning to the very edge of the seat with anticipation for the lifting of the lid. Eyes still locked onto the box while her hands gingerly lifted up the lid, Maryll examined the contents carefully. In the center of the box rested a flattened top hat, the soft felt pale but still in the same condition it was decades ago. Splayed around the flat circle of the hat were cups and baubles all colorful and made to enchant and awe an audience- alongside with a slender wand.

"Woah.." She breathed. A look of wide-eyed wonder held in her face as though she herself was once again simply a child watching the magic come to live, though instead she was now the one wielding the magic, bringing awe to her own audience. Reaching inside, she caught the sharp edge of a book, the cover a smooth, rich leather.

"Instructions.." She mumbled to herself, slowly opening the book, listening to the faint give of the tightly wound bounding so long left in the box unused. Once spread, the pages were a fresh white, preserved inside the tight squeeze of the book, the left side showed a picture of a beaming child with a quarter held against his ear by another person's hand while the right side explained the basics steps of how to bring the simple trick to life.

"This is amazing!" She gasped again, still murmuring her excited words only to herself in her private investigation of her garage-sale find. Realizing her lonesomeness in her amazement, she perked up, still holding the book, to call in her mother.

"Mom! Mom! Mom! Come here!" She shouted before she jumped to her feet to meet her mother at the doorway to the kitchen, hiding a quarter against her hand as she reached into her mother hair, tucking it behind the woman's ear and then preparing to reveal the quarter once again- fresh from behind the ear: "You know, mum, you should practice what you preach and wash behind your ears more often."

Though when she brought her hand forward with a small flourish and a "Viola!" The quarter didn't appear once again between her thumb and forefinger but instead the crisp green of a one hundred dollar bill.

"Maryll! Where did you get that money!?" Megan exploded in a hushed shout. The older woman's eyes going wide at the sight of the fresh dollar. "If you bought a wallet with money in it the fair thing to do is to return it to the owners.."

"N-no, Mom! All I bought was this magic kit! I had a quarter before!"

Megan was silent for a moment. Her eyes slanted with mistrust, "Don't toy with me, young lady..."

"Mo-om. I'm serious..I had a quarter to do the quarter trick with, but when I brought my hand back it was this!" Maryll explained, rather breathless herself with shock. The magic she was expecting was nothing compared to this! This was real, true magic! She could do anything! If she could make money appear, what else could she do?

Slowly, while her mother babbled with her own excitement, Maryll realized that the possibilities of what she could do just might reveal the perfect manner in which to torture her brother..She just had to find the perfect thing to do..

Already planning, she painted a smile onto her face. "I'm gonna spend the afternoon studying up, but then can I invite everyone over for a magic show?" She put on her widest eyes, sweet and innocent up at her mother. Just a girl who wanted to invite over her array of gal pals and amaze them with tricks.

Megan didn't suspect a single thing. "Of course, dear.."

Grinning from ear-to-ear, Maryll disappeared up the stairs in the sanctuary of her bedroom, her excitement once again bubbling forth as she reached for her phone, snatching it up from her desk as her thumb pressed the speed dial for number three, just past her mother, her best friend, Cecil.

"Girlfriend, what did you buy today?" Cecil greeted, relaxed and casual, still oblivious to the drama happening with Maryll's find.

Maryll didn't wait a single moment to explain everything. The entire story, from the time she took a shower and suffered further annoyance at the hand of her brother to the moment she picked up the phone, pouring out of her lips- filling the entirety of a half hour at the speed she spoke. The final silence that bubbled up when her words trickled off drawing out a crackle from the phone speaker, a cautious breath in from Cecil, and then the girl spoke.

"Girl, I think you may have lost a marble or two when you blew up at Flanel, but if you're happy, then I'm happy for you.."

Maryll giggled with delight, fidgeting from foot to foot where she stood in her bedroom, not even having had the thought to take a seat in her rush to share her story. Though before she could respond to Cecil commentary a loud thud came from in the background of Cecil's phone line.

"Ugh! Lupus!" Cecil groaned, her voice turning from the phone as she spoke in another direction; "You crazy rabbit, stop doing that!"

Maryll, confused at this shifted, raised her voice above the ruckus to ask: "What's going on over there?"

Cecil chuckled, exasperated. "It's Lupus, my rabbit, he's been going crazy lately. I think he wants a lady-friend rabbit to get fluffy with, if you catch my drift.. I should probably go deal with him before he send wood clippings all over my floor."

Maryll's eyes went wide, a long moment passing with no response back to her friend as it dawned on her. That was the perfect thing to do to her brother...Aside from actual murder, nothing else would solve the issue of him getting the college money, but this, this was not murder. This was the perfect solution.

"Uh..Cecil, before you go, can you come over tonight? And bring Lupus, I want to put on a magic show for the girls and what goes better with magic then bunnies right?"

Cecil chuckled, voicing her agreement. "Sure, I can come over. I'll call the other girls later and invite them too!"

Maryll thanked her and hung up quickly, wasting no time in developing just how to sell this to her mother. She knew that if she said things the right way her mother would agree, deep down, every mother favors her own flesh and blood over someone else's offspring. If she was careful, this would solve everything...

***

"You know, dear. I think you're right. It sounds safe enough, maybe even a better life than struggling to make it in a career.." Megan said as she looked down to her daughter's beaming face. The case Maryll presented went flawlessly. "But..you can't tell Math.. Men just don't understand certain things.."

Maryll grinned. "Don't worry, mum. The men won't know a thing."

Still grinning when she left her mother once again, Maryll returned to her bedroom, pouring over the text that came along with the magic set in preparation. She had a show to put on after all, and a finale to pull off perfectly...

***

"Ladies! Ladies! Get ready for the show of your lives!" Maryll announced with a sparkling smile as she held open the front door for the flood of teenaged girls. Every pair of eyes that entered sweeping over her in a last minute magician's outfit she prepared of tight, black jeans with one of her mother's old tailored suit jackets along with her top hat and sleek, black heels. She thought it gave her an awe-inspiring look and with the the expressions her friends adopted at the sight of her, Maryll would say it was working.

As each girl came in, depositing a purse into her mother's welcoming hands, Maryll already turned on the charm and worked to amaze them. As Alice stumbled into the house first, chuckling at the lingering amusement from a joke in the car, Maryll stepped forward, grabbing her shoulder gently at she ran a finger through the girl's hair affectionately greeting her while performing the quarter-to-hundred-dollar-bill trick yet again. "My dear, Alice! You have such gorgeous hair! You look like a hundred bucks."

Her hand pulled back, exposing the crisp dollar, accompanied by a gasp from Alice- who no longer laughed to herself. "Literally." Maryll finished, beaming with pride at the success and the amazement while she brushed off Alice's questions; "How did you do that? Can you do it again? Etc. Etc. Etc" Maryll almost found it pathetic how easily people embarrassed themselves when they didn't understand something, though as Maryll tucked the large bill into the girl's jean pocket, Alice fell silent with a last mumbled "Thank you" and rushed to her seat, eager for more.

After Alice came the driver of that first carpool, Mary Ann, a tall, slender girl used to being the target of attention from hungry boys and jealous girls alike. Maryll was eager to put her into a state of silence like she had Alice, friends or not, everyone deserved to realize Maryll was the captain of the team now.

"Mary Ann! Look at you! I wish I had a million presents to award your with in celebration of your beauty!" Maryll exclaimed while she pulled the girl into a warm, affectionate hug. Her hands, holding their respective quarters slipped against her hips and then the bills appeared, peeking out from her fingers as the next guest made their way up the walkway, just in time to get a glimpse of Maryll's trick, the girl's mouth dropping open and her feet stopping on the walkway. Maryll only winked and pulled back, holding the bills.

"Oh my..It looks like all I have is cash.."

Mary Ann's eyes went wide, confused at how her poor, garage sale attending pal had been able to use hundred dollar bills in a simple trick. "H-how did you do that?" She stammered.

"Oh? This? This darling..is nothing..just your wait.." She grinned, still handing the two bills fanned out gently as Mary Ann stumbled towards the living room, blinking in silent consideration of what just happened.

"Here comes Louise.." Megan stated, gesturing to the already star- struck girl on the walkway, her mouth still dangling a tad loose in her blank look.

"Louise, head right into the living room. The show starts soon..." Maryll crooned, watching the girl make her way to sit in silent anticipation beside the other two, all three mute with awe.

"Now all we have left is Cecil." Megan stated, smiling at her daughter, eager to see the girl shine in her own manner.

"That's right." Maryll agreed, giving a nod as she glanced up the stairs. "You let her in. I have one last thing to do."

With that, Maryll spun on one foot and headed up the stairs, practically strutting with the surge of confidence the power of magic was giving her. Her eyes locked onto the closed door of her brother's bedroom as she silently pictured the instructions in her magic book, recalling the importance of her own thoughts in coercion.

"This will be the easy part.." She reminded herself and brought a hand to his door, knocking hard and steady on the wood. "Flanel, open up." She demanded, no room for argument, the easiest form of coercion.

Oblivious to the part of his brain accepting the command, Flanel stumbled to the door, tired after his afternoon of eating chips and shooting electronically generated hordes of the undead. "What do you want?"

Maryll smiled, toothy and giddy. "I'm putting on my magic show soon and your attendance..is well..mandatory!" A giggle of devilish delight left her lips and her eyes twinkled with her excitement at having him listen to her. He had to listen. He was looking at her eyes now, locked in with more than just her voice now. Coercion was more powerful the more the person focused on you and the idiot Flanel had leveled a steady, focused glare on her the minute the door swung open.

"I uh..fine." He groaned. His brain barely registering why he listened, though deep down something stirred. A questioning part of him demanded to know why, why was he listening to her!? This was Maryll! That part didn't surface though, too far trapped by his shallow, male mind.

"Peachy!" She chirped, spinning once again and heading down the stairs, with the boy following. Though he stopped at the entrance to the living room, giving him a view of where she would perform, but leaving him out of sight of the gathered audience.

Entering the living room, Maryll was greeted by a chorus of eager clapping- the four girls, Alice, Mary Ann, Louise, and Cecil all cheering while her mother lingered in a second row, clapping in a subdued manner. Lupus, wide-eyed and spooked by the noise, dove into the bedding of his cage and hid.

"Ladies and Rabbit Gentleman!" Maryll greeted, spreading her arms wide on either side of her body while she drew up her chest in a proud, dramatic pose- Maryll soaked up the applause, soaking up the sounds of their cheering.

"This afternoon I am going to bring to life dreams you've had but you cast them off as impossible! I am going to do the improbable and then the impossible! I'll exhaust my skills and then I'll surpass them! You will be amazed. You may be frightened! You will be delighted! You will witness magic! True, real magic untainted by trickery or limitations! I am going to bring it all to life for you, my friends..Prepare to be amazed!"

With that, Maryll listened to their cheers surge as she strutted behind the table she set up. Her mind whirring with focus as she stomped the start pad for an ancient fog machine beside her, a soft awe of her crowd accompanying the burst of the gas into the room, pooling at their feet. Though Maryll had to hid a smile as she moved to the other side of the table, away from the fog machine and drew her hands to her sides. "That isn't enough fog, is it?" She questioned, innocently staring at her crowd who eagerly responded. "No!"

"No. It. Isn't!" She shouted as her hands shot up above her head, a wave of fog seeming to shoot up above the floor as sparks lit above her head and illuminated her silhouette in the fog. Their cheers rose up again, a surprising amount of noise for only four girls.

"That's just the beginning, girls! I'm not done yet!"

Grunting faintly with her concentration, Maryll enlarged the illusion, throwing a burst of flame to either side of her body. The girl's eyes wide as their brain's computed the false image before them, the unexplainable illusions seemingly real to the audience.

"Amazed yet?!" Maryll shrieked, intoxicated by their voices, shouting for her. Their amazement was because of her and tucked in the doorway, she could hear the shocked gasps of her brother. She was amazing him, shocking him..."Oh just wait"She thought. The shock was going to be bigger. That was for certain.

Falling into her practiced routine, Maryll let the magic fall to a medium level, keeping them awed and entertained but letting her mind rest with lesser illusions and more physical magic with tricks of the hand. Her memory of the book so fresh from the afternoon the tricks came through flawlessly, one after another.

As the fire at her sides died down and fell from her mind, Maryll cups across the table with her hands, hiding a small ball inside the center one and shuffling them, challenging the audience to keep up and later on, guess which held the ball. Though after 30 seconds of shuffling, Maryll stepped back and moved the balls instead with her mind, relishing the shocked gasps as girl's looked at her hands, resting unused at her sides.

"Now girls! Which cup has the ball?" She demanded, grinning as they pointed to variety, though Alice and Cecil agreed upon the furthest more left cup. "This one.." Maryll said quietly, focusing once again as she lifted the cup and rather than a ball and small, red ruby sat in its place.

"This must not be the right one!" She exclaimed, grinning as the girl's all stared, even her mother who knew her fullest capabilities looked shocked as Maryll tossed the gem into the crowed and moved on, eager for the next trick.

Each trick that followed was the same, it started like a regular run of the mill trick; the ribbons coming out from ones ear, but then transformed into something impossible in the end; the ribbons transformed into a stream of water that danced in the air like a magical creature and then filled a cup, physically there- Maryll even let each girl take a sip.

After three or so tricks, almost a half an hour of performing, Maryll drew her hand to her forehead, feigning exhaustion. "What do you girls say to a break? A snack perhaps?" With a smile, she watched them all nod, agreeing with whatever she said mindlessly like she knew they would- once your brain has been fooled and pushed and forced to believe the unbelievable, thought becomes hard.

Pointing to the kitchen door, Maryll shouted. "You heard them, Kitchen! Make us some snacks!" And after a long minute of silence, trays floated through the swinging door, filled with sugary muffins that Maryll had prepared beforehand, leaving her only to have to mentally pull them into the room, still an arduous task.

As they snacked with their eyes focused on her, Maryll considered her impatience now. She had another full half hour of tricks prepared, ready to continue, but her desire to put her brother into his place, the whole reason for this show was bubbling up to the surface again. Despite loving how their cheers brought her ego out, enlarging it with every chorus of clapping, Maryll wouldn't be satisfied till her brother was removed, humiliated, and sent to never bother her again. Impatience was forcing her hand, rushing the schedule, and Maryll wanted to let it.

"Girls, what do you say we skip to the finale? I'm itching to show you the best part of the show!" Maryll called out, voice louder now as she was refueled by her excitement for the next trick, the true finale.

As she had expected, the group shouted and cheered all nodding their heads without a slight consideration of what they would be missing out on.

"Wonderful! I'll need a volunteer!" She shouted. Her gaze falling hard on the entry way where her brother would finally feel another tug on his brain, urging him to volunteer, to throw his hand out into the living room and follow it.

"I-I'll volunteer!" Flanel called out, his voice betraying his true desire to stay back, to be out of sight of all these girl's who worshipped his sister now after her awe-inspiring performance.

"Perfect! My brother will volunteer!" A soft hush went over the crowd. They could feel the trick starting as though it was marked with a sign behind her that said "Shut up and Pay Attention" No one made a sound as Maryll stepped forward to her brother, who lingered at the edge of the room, needing further encouragement now that his own thoughts had abandoned him. Swinging the pair of handcuffs around one finger, Maryll took her time reaching him, listening to the solid click of her heels on the wood flooring, the hushed breathing of her audience, and the sounds of Flanel's nervous swallow knocking hard down his throat.

Meeting his gaze, Maryll watched his eyes go wide, a splash of fear covering his pupils as he saw his sister's gaze; power-hungry, confident, and fearless. She wasn't just a little girl attempting to get back at him now, she was delivering revenge, and it showed in the fire in her gaze.

"Now..I'll need you to put out your hands for me, volunteer." She instructed, loving how quickly he responded, the perfect puppet for her amusement. The clink of the handcuffs as she closed them around his wrists ringing out in the otherwise silent room.

"Good, now come right over here.." She gestured to where she had placed an X on the floor with tape. Her foot tapping the spot to guide him to the small X where she then tugged his arm to make him face the audience. His dull expression looking out at the enraptured audience while his eyes swept over them, looking desperately for an ally.

Maryll took her time with this trick, surveying the girl's awed expressions as she gathered her materials, hefting the curtain up into her arms as she settled the loop of the all around curtain around her brother, once again seeing his eyes, wide and frightened.

"Good..Now he realizes his mistakes.." Maryll thought to herself, grinning with her fiendish delight.

"On the count of the three, I'll throw up the curtain, and those handcuffs will disappear!" Maryll shouted out, bending slightly to hold the curtains at his feet, letting everyone see his face until the curtain would cover it.

"Help me count!"

All together the girl's watching counted, shouting out each number louder than the one before it.

"One!"

"Two!"

"Three!"

On three, Maryll hefted the curtain up, watching it flutter up around Flanel as she stared at him, focusing on the trick she must perform before the curtain hit the ground at his feet once again.

-Clank!-

The curtain's ring hit the ground and instead of cheering the room had gone silent, rather than the gleaming silver handcuffs disappearing, Maryll had Flanel's clothing do a disappearing act. His limp manhood suddenly on display for the array of younger girls before him. A collective shriek leaving them when it finally sunk in what had happened.

"Oh my!" Maryll giggled out, grinning at them as she played into the trick. "Looks like my magic was a little too powerful there! We removed everything!" She giggled along with the girls, even going as far as to cover her mouth cutely with her hand in a "oh no" expression. Though behind her hand, she smirked when she looked at his face.

Eyes wide, Flanel had realized what had happened though not a word escaped from his clenched jaw. His cheeks slowly covered a deep red that bled down his entire neck, coloring him in shame. The satisfaction it gave Maryll was practically orgasmic.

"What should we do to him next, girls?" She prodded them, grinning as they all blurted out random ideas from face paint to ribbons. For a moment she paused, listening to their voices as she considered the harm in embarrassing him a bit more before the final act. The sound soon jumbling together till it was just a soft roar of the voices that all spoke at once, sharing ideas and commenting on one's another's.

If she could keep that humiliated blush on his face for awhile longer, she didn't see the harm in it. In fact, it would be nice to feel a bit more of the anticipation building up from her toes and pooling in her gut with excited butterflies.

"What was that you said, Alice?" she questioned, leaning in as she looked to collect her first act.

Alice grinned, happy to be chosen by the magician. "I said you should write on his face!" She blurted once again, beaming with her own delight at something she felt was so devious yet in comparison to the possibilities was rather innocent, even childish.

Maryll wouldn't have minded something more extreme but she simply shrugged and drew up a marker from the nearby desk, lifting it with her mind rather than hand to his face as she sketched a curled mustache beneath his nose and a thick unibrow between his eyes- an explosion of giggling leaving the immature audience, leaving Maryll no choice but to chuckle herself with their infectious delight. The blush on Flanel's face now complimented by the twist in his lip of a small, irritated scowl at being toyed with like this- drawn on and laughed at.

However, Mary Ann quickly had another idea. "Alice! We can do better than that!" She chastised affectionately, leaning into the other girl's as she whispered in a hushed voice- whatever she said drawing a blush to the girl's face.

"Oh, Mary Ann, how crude!" The girl exclaimed, drawing Maryll attention.

"Oh, whatever is it?" She asked, smirking outwardly now.

"If you put his..his..thing! Into cold water it'll get really small!" Mary Ann blurted, drawing a look of further terror to the male's eyes as he thought of the sensation of freezing water on something so sensitive alongside the humiliation of having this group of freshmen mocking his genetalia.

"Those who ask! Shall receive!" Maryll shouted, having caught the look in her brother's eyes as she moved closer to the kitchen to summon some water- nearly a minute passing as she emptied the ice trays into a bucket of her water. A look of anticipation painted over the four girl's faces when the bucket finally came into view.

"One!"

"Two!"

"Three!"

On three, Maryll drew the bucket up on either side of her brother's privates, watching his face as a soft whimper slipped out of his lips and, as Mary Ann had anticipated, he seemed to shrink further in front of them. A barrage of giggling following.

Amused as she was, Maryll felt her impatience returning. She didn't just want her friends to laugh at him! She wanted to change him! And they were wasting time!

"Enough of these childish tricks now!" She shouted, her voice booming louder than ever before, as if amplified in the large, living room. All four girls going silent. Foregoing the water bucket now, Maryll dropped it uselessly to the floor. Her eyes sweeping the room, staring at each audience member in turn.

"It's time for the final trick. A feat of impossible nature. Something that takes the most classic of illusions and makes it true life! I want you all the watch carefully! Don't even blink! Prepare to be amazed, my friends...Prepare yourselves well...." She loved the drama. Maryll was drinking it up like an alcoholic would lap up vodka. The rush of power was intoxicating and she almost felt light headed at it.

Without further narration, Maryll moved to the table and carefully walked to the table-the silence in the room letting her heels ring out in the room once again, letting each step echoe. Removing her top hat, Maryll's hair spilled out over her shoulders, released for the bun she had kept it in before. She needed this hat for the trick.

With one hand, she ran her fingers through her hair while the other hand set the hat onto the smooth surface of the table, right in the center in the direct line of sight of her audience members in the lined seats before her- watching her.

Maryll smiled and turned to her her brother, drinking in the sight of him too. His face was still painted with that red blush, so weak he was now at her mercy- though she had none. Even his crotch amused her, something every man was so proud of yet it was so shriveled with shame and cold it looked like a forgotten sausage left to rot at the back of the fridge. She could have laughed if anticipation had not stolen away her voice. This was the moment. Her greatest trick.

Drawing up her hand slowly, she focused on her brother. She held his shape in her mind and then manipulated it. Starting at his feet, bare as they were, right at his toes a small tuft of fur exploded up through the skin. Maryll's eyes slid closed as she pictured the changes her friends were witnessing right before them. From the first tuft of fur followed another, covering the tops of her broad toes in the light, brown fur while his nails grew more slender, curling up from their normal flat form into a protruding claw- the small white tip even clicking softly on the floor when it grew out. Tawny tan tufts of fur shooting up between the claws like cushioning between them while the rich auburn of the rest of the coat fur moved faster now. His leg hair extended and thickened and shifted into the thick coat of an animal, coating his skin in doubled layered fur made to protect him from the cold of the wilderness in fall and winter. From his knees down was covered in the lush fur within the first minute, leaving only his upper body still nude of the fur and bare, gleaming the peachy color of a human. His eyes were held wide open by unexplainable emotions of shock and fear, and yet amazement. What she was doing wasn't possible! Yet it was happening..and continued to happen- starting from his feet up and letting him watch as the changes overtook him step by step. Each burst of fur visible as his body was taken over by a force outside of his control, changing him from his safe, normal, comfortable shape as gangly, awkward, human teenaged boy into some far from human, traveling to the other end of the spectrum where human merged with animal- then crossing the line into the other.

The fur crawled up now, the bursts of tufts of fur like explosions over his skin while his body started to shift, his bones now pulled into the manipulation center in Maryll's mind; soft, barely audible pops echoing into the silent room as they shifted, shrinking while at the same time the fur exploded over his back and his face in a series of patches that eventually covered the broad surface of his back. His eyes still held in his skull even while it began to shrink down, wide and fearful while above his forehead, ears shot up, stretching out from his skull with the trademark shape of a hare. The tall appendages flopping over his face cutely while his body shrunk down, past the size of a midget, past the size of a dog, a cat, and there it settled, a small fluff ball- a rabbit

Opening her eyes, Maryll watched the last changes as her brother's body popped his face into a protruding nose and muzzle, his nose already wriggling with his newfound increased sense of smell. The handcuffs that had held his hand now resting uselessly in front of his short, squat body. And then, he disappeared.

"Behold!" She shouted, grinning at the empty space that once had her creation. Her brother was no longer the broad shoulder neanderthal that would bump into her any chance he got in the hallway as though he was the only one that fit in it. He was a miniature pet that would fit inside anything she pleased. A hush filled the room that amazement of the transformation now overshadowed by a sudden disappearance.

"Oh my!" Maryll gasped, grinning. "Would you guys like to see my little volunteer once again!?" She called out, wanting to break the spell of silence and fully celebrate the transformation.

After a beat, their voices rang out at last. "Yes!"

Maryll smiled, "Well here, he is!" She shouted, lifting up her top hat to show the trembling shape of her brother, the rabbit. His body now small enough to fit in two hands cupped together, as if to hold water. His skin, previously the soft pink of a human, now a toffee-colored brown that looked as soft as it felt, velvety and rich to the fingertips. Atop his head, two long ears sprouted and stood half-erect only to flop over his eyes at their midpoint, hiding his huge, oval-shaped eyes. "Viola!"

On the table, where the hat had before resting untouched, sat the brown rabbit with an nose that twitched madly, taking in the newfound power of scent Maryll assumed, smirking as she looked down at her "brother."

Of the audience members, Mary Ann perked up eagerly, pulling a small braid out of her hair and with it, a silky pink ribbon. "Can we put this on it? It'll be so cute!"

Maryl's smile broadened, her brother hated being called cute. "Of course, Mary Ann! What a great idea!" Maryll agreed, leaning down and scooping up the rabbit and handing it gently to her friend.

"Aren't you just a little sweetheart? Oh yes! You like ribbons, don't you?" Mary Ann crooned while she gently tied the ribbon around the rabbit's front paw, tenderly petting along its back before she noticed Louise beside her, starting wantingly at the cute pet.

"Your turn!" She chirped and handed the thing off while from the back of the room, Megan finally spoke up.

"I have something for the little bunny too." She informed them, hanging Louise a small, pink collar complete with a dangling heart charm to put around the bunny's neck before the sharing continued down the line of girls till each one got to cradle the bunny in their lap.

When Cecil finally got to hold the rabbit, Maryll scooped up closer, smiling at her friend widely. "Should we get out Lupus? Maybe the two can get along? Fall in bunny love!?"

All the girls quickly oohed and awwed and encouraged Cecil, so the girl really had no choice but to extract the now intrigued Lupus from his cage, though when the two were placed side by side on the main table. Lupus took one sniff down at his brown counterpart and scampered to the edge of the table, even looking over the edge as if considering what damage would come to him if he took the leap off.

"Oh no!" Cecil muttered sadly, moving to pick up Lupus while Maryll lifted up her rabbit, chuckling when she saw the faint pink there among the soft belly fur. The tip of a the pink tip of a penis peeking out from within the tan. The small curve in his sex organ poking the short rod into the caress of the fur- sending a small tingle through his freshly-changed brain. Flanel's mind buzzing now with a mixture of disgust and embarrassment at having his genitalia presented, once again, to a group of girls, but also with a dash of the animal instinct and hormones now within his body's system, urging him to mate. Flanel felt a twitch run through his penis, making it bob slightly.

"He's just the wrong gender!" She assured Cecil, now with a smile while out of the corner of her eye she peered at the small sex organ. She could fix this.

And with a small flick of her wrist, the wrong-gendered brown rabbit began to shrink and the fur seemed to ripple along his back as the brown softened to a sweet white. The pink collar and ribbon now gleaming against the fur color.

"There! A lovely lady in white now!"

Now intrigued, Lupus pads over to the female, seeming to respond quite differently now. Cecil happily lifts both rabbits to return them to the safety of Lupus's hutch where they can play together. At the sight of the two rabbits, dancing in a mixture of jumping and scampering in the enclosed space, the entire group of girls collectively whines at the sight and brandishes their phones, each taking a picture or more.

In the safety of the hutch, oblivious to the prying eyes of the gaggle of teenaged girls surrounding them, Lupus and "Flanel" seem to have lost all the reservations towards each other. Faint squeaks of communication passing between the two rabbits as Alice spoke out in the crowd: "I think we should give her a name!"

A soft hush of thought passes over the girls until someone in the group softly offers out her idea- "What about Button, because she's as cute as a button?"

For a moment, no one speaks but after a short pause heads start to nod and the sounds of agreement fill the room.

"Lupus and Button- the perfect couple." Cecil croons, gazing at her pet as he tries to hump the smaller female. The soft sounds of his claws scratching at the bottom of the hut in his feverish attempts to bond with his new friend echoing softly in the plastic hutch, filling it with the persistent sound to sting at "Button's" sensitive hearing.

Maryll chuckled, imagining her brother's mind within the tiny rabbit's skull, slowly being lost to the animal pull from his new genes. The smirk on her face only growing wider as she leaned over to Cecil. "Why don't you take the little girl home? Lupus seems to have taken a liking to her..."

At Maryll's comment, Cecil glances over to notice that Maryll is indeed correct. Lupus had found he liked his newly-female friend. With his claws dug lightly into "Button's" sides, the male had pulled himself up against the other rabbit. His hips already thrust forward impatiently while his shaft extended out of his fur, tapping lightly against Button's tail before it tucked itself beneath it and grazed the soft curve of the female's lower lips. The warmth of her sex drew Lupus in closer, guiding the eager, oozing tip of him in closer. Flanel, trapped within the mind of the white rabbit, was conflicted once again. The bumping of the male's organ clumsily against his sex sent a shudder through his fragile body, the clutch on either side of his hips brought a feeling of submission, and the emptiness of his sex was unpleasant. He wanted to be filled. The rabbit part of him, that sunk in further over his mind and took over with each passing second, was pressuring Flanel to lift his tail and push himself back into the sloppy humping of the other animal, but the human part of him was disgusted, even disturbed, at being taken.

After all, his human self was a straight, teen-aged male. He didn't strive to be filled, fucked, or stretched around another throbbing rod of flesh. Not until now.

Flanel could feel it spreading, as if was burning in his groin as the tip of the male ground against him. Chills and shudders shot down his spine at the grinding touch. A soft chuff left the male's lips behind him, like a grunt as Lupus finally thrust his hips up correctly and sunk his length into the heat of the female, spreading her tight tunnel of flesh around his length slowly while Flanel's mind spasmed with shocked. He was being fucked. He was being fucked by a male.

And he liked it.

Still shocked, but frozen in place, Flanel didn't make a move to discourage the excited Lupus from speeding up; the length making a wet schlick as it pulls back out from the vice-like grip of the innocent female rabbit. The hips of the young male steadily pumped into Flanel now, stuffing the needy hole while his human mentality shrinks back, hides against the outermost corner of his mind, and cowers while lust takes over. Submissive and needy, Button's head dips down slightly and her body pushes back into the male to weakly allow him to continue for only a short while longer before his cock twitched and throbbed against Button's innermost walls. Pulsing there in precursor to an explosion of liquid that sprays out into the female's snatch while short, stubby teeth bit onto Flanel's loose neck scruff for a moment and then ease back. Lupus already moved onto another task after a moment, leaving Button sitting idly, leaking and claimed with wide eyes that still held Flanel's thoughts, his mind- spinning and trying to process what had happened, why he had liked it so much...

Cecil glanced back at her friend over one shoulder, starting to protest politely, but when she sees the satisfied expression on Maryll's face she only nods, accepting the gift.

Seeing the excitement in the room level out and the girls start to wander to the door, sensing that their time as guests is starting to draw to a close, Megan wanders up forward before she drew their attention in with a short cough.

"Girls," She started quietly, "I must stress the importance of this splendid afternoon being kept among us girls, and no one can know, especially Math. This has been just between us and shall remain that way for if anyone was to find out even if one person believed us and delved deeper...It could bring harm to Maryll- or to myself, and eventually that would trickle down to each one of you. You were witness to this event and you must bear its history. Never tell a soul."

The girls take her words seriously, all the voices in the room, even the whispers, going silent in the aftermath of Megan's short, but important speech. Though after a minute, a soft voice spoke up with a question, in the nervous voice of Louise.

"W-what will you tell Math?"

For a moment, Megan was silent. Maryll didn't say a word, in fact she even look concerned enough to pause in her satisfied gloating. However, Megan did think of a response that brought a smile to her face as it occurred to her.

"We'll tell him that Flanel left us to find his true self.." She paused for a moment, that small, strange smile growing on her lips and crinkling lines into her aged skin. "It's not even a lie, is it?"
