Around six o'clock the next morning my alarm clock began blaring like the devil. So I sat up in bed, moved over to it then clicked it off from there I stretched and got dressed. Next I walked downstairs to make myself breakfast before getting my things ready for school. As I calmly walked into the kitchen something popped into my mind. <You know something I think it's time for a little payback on my sister.> I smiled to myself.

So I made a trip back upstairs, walked down the hall and entered her bedroom. <Granted, she won't be expecting this but, perhaps I should think this through carefully.> I began. <Now where did I put those bungee chords?> I wondered exiting her room. When I walked back into the kitchen I noticed dad was fixing his lunch. So I went over to say hello and see if he knew where the chords were.

"Morning, Dad silly question do you remember where the bungee chords are?" I asked. "Hey, son last I time I saw them they were in the left bottom drawer in the work bench." He replied. "I need them for when I go into work later today." I informed. "Well, I'll see you later buddy I'm off to work." Dad replied walking towards the door. "Bye, dad." I said as the door closed behind him.

"Now, back to what I was up too." I smiled walking into the garage a moment later. Sure enough I found them right where he said they'd be and went back upstairs. As I re-entered Aniu's bedroom and luckily she was still out cold on her bed. I quietly set her alarm clock to go off in the next five minutes or so. Moving it just out of her reach then I bound her arms, feet, tail and wings together.

After I finished I swiftly and quietly walked out of her room while trying not to laugh. As I walked downstairs and entered the kitchen where my mother was pouring herself some coffee. "Good morning, Iros." Mom said with a strong yawn. Sadly I couldn't hide the smirk on my face which caught her attention almost instantly. "Alright, child of mine what are you up to this morning?" She wondered looking at me intently.

Before I could give her any sort of reply, when all of a sudden; *CRRAAASH!*. Followed by a very angry outburst. "ALRIGHT A CERTAIN SOMEONE IS DEAD WHEN I GET FREE!!" Aniu screamed from upstairs. Naturally my mother is looking at me like, what in the hell did you just do? Of course I shrugged my shoulders passively making it look like I didn't do anything.

"SOMEBODY, BEST UNTIE ME!" Aniu demanded furiously from her bedroom. "Well?" Mom wondered glaring at me. Knowing that I couldn't win against her I sighed heavily and went upstairs. "IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME YOU ASSHOLE!" She barked as I entered her room. Before I did anything I asked her if she was going to harass me anymore. "Will you just untie me already?" She asked annoyingly.

"Why, you look so adorable all tied up." I teased with a big smile on my face. From the bottom of the staircase mother demanded that I untie her or else I'd be sorry. It didn't take me very long to untie her and as she rose to her feet. "So Iros, do you feel better now that you finally got some payback?" Aniu wondered as she walked over to her closet. I didn't say anything right way as I made way towards the door.

"Of course you never thought after all the times you've teased me I'd fight back." I replied. She didn't waste a second to respond to my remark as she went to the bathroom. "Honestly, no I didn't think you would but, you certainly proved me wrong." She stated. With that we agreed that we're finally even as she went to go take a shower. While she got herself ready for the school day I decided to go make her some French toast.

"Iros, what have I told you and Aniu about pulling pranks?" She question firmly. My response was the one she wanted to hear as she poured herself another cup of coffee. "Good, I'm glad you still understand that." She responded walking into the parlor. Meanwhile Aniu had come down and was eating the meal I made for her. Aniu finished her meal, she took a moment to wash it, before going back upstairs to her room.

About ten minutes later it was getting close for us to head of to school and she was still upstairs. So I calmly walked over to the staircase then I called up to her. She told me to wait a moment she was looking for one last thing before she finally came downstairs. I told Aniu I'd meet her in the garage while went to inform mom on something. Naturally I told her that I'd be working tonight and couldn't pick Aniu up later.

"Sure, no problem I'll pick her up besides today's my day off anyhow dear. Though what time do you think you'll be coming home?" Mom said curiously. To be perfectly honest I had no idea when I'd be coming home it depended on my workload. "That's fine dear though do call me when you get a free moment to yourself, okay." She pointed out. With that I met up with Aniu in the garage then we headed off to school.

"Hey, Iros I hate to ask but, is there any chance I can borrow the car tomorrow night?" She asked. Right off the bat I felt something was a little off about her request. "Okay, what do you need it for?" I wondered. She took a moment to gather her words before she came back with a reply. "You see Keith and I have a date tomorrow night. Sadly his car broke down yesterday after dropping me off at work." She informed.

"I'm going to hold off from making a decision until I talk to him in person, okay." I stated. She told me exactly where she and him were going to met at school. Luckily a short time later we arrived at school then drove around to the student parking lot. As I drove around the aisles looking for a place to park Keith wasn't around. "So where is he, Aniu I do hope you're not yanking my leash." I replied looking at her.

"No, Iros I'm not, look there he is right now." She said pointing over near the bus drop off point. Luckily I found a parking space a moment later, and once he saw her get out. He happily jogged over to where we parked then gave her a polite hug hello. "Hey, babe are we all set for tomorrow night?" Keith asked. The second I looked into his eyes something just felt rather off about him.

"Actually, hun my brother wants to talk to you." She answered as he turned to face me. He offered his hand which I shook it respectfully at that moment I briefly scanned his mind. "It's good to finally meet you in person, Iros I do hope I can pass the test." He said letting my hand go. As he stood there I gave his mind another pass this time I found something. Though I kept my sister from picking up on what I was doing.

"Yeah, well she's right about one thing I do have an amazing bullshit detector. I'm sorry Aniu but, to answer your earlier request before we got here is no." I said looking past him at her. With that I turned around and started to walk away from them. Of course that comment riled Keith up and he made sure I knew it. "What's the big deal she's your sister how can you say no like that?" He demanded.

I didn't bother to feed into his baiting comment as I turned around then calmly walked away. While my back turned I contacted Aniu via our telepathic link to explain myself. <Sorry, for that sis but, you might want to dump him before the worst happens. Before you ask I took a brief look into his mind and you won't like it. He's waiting for the right moment to drug you then use you like a **** toy.> I began.

<The next he's going to happily ruin your very good reputation so get out while you can. So please don't be to angry with me I'm only looking out for your safety and well being.> I finished. Her response was rather quick and her mental tone was calm. <Thanks, Iros granted I'm not thrilled about the news or you reading his mind. I've got things from here and honestly I thought he was a good man.> She replied.

<I'll be honest I met him about three weeks ago at work during the summer. At first I didn't think he was like that seeing as he was so nice to me when we met.> She pointed out. <Well you now know the truth about him and I trust you'll make the right call concerning him. In any case sis i'll talk to you later alright, bye.> I said closing the link. She said goodbye a short time later as I finally entered the building.

As I walked up the stairs towards my house office, Celia was standing at the top of the staircase. "Good morning, Celia." I said with caution. She looked up from her phone then smiled as she greeted me. "So where are you off to this morning?" She wondered. I told her I was going to see if they fix the machine so I could get my student ID. Celia wanted to tag along so I let her but, I could tell something on her mind.

"Iros, I hate to sound like I'm being nosey but, there's something I'd like to know. The other day who was the woman busting your ass after I jogged over to my car?" She said curiously. Naturally I told her that she happened to be my older sister Aniu. Celia looked at me and thought our names sounded rather strange at first. I told her that our names come from a dead language which meant fire and ice.

"An, ironically enough were not twins seeing as she's three years older than me." I added. What I didn't expect is she had another question on her mind that I wasn't prepared for. "I'll say, now what kind of hybrids are you it's obvious you're not pure blooded?" She wondered. So I told her about my folks and what breeds they happened to be. Despite the fact we took after our father more than we did our mother.

"Yeah, I can see where your getting at for the most part, Iros now one other thing. Now I understand you're hybrids but, correct me if I'm wrong your sister has wings?" She replied. <If Aniu ever finds about this she's gonna kill me in the worst possible way.> I thought to myself. "So I'm guessing they're some kind of special trait she inherited at birth. Speaking of which what about yourself, got a special gift?" She wondered.

"Yeah, it's a recessive gene on my mother's side of the family that skips a generation. Celia, I want your word you won't harass her about it, it's a touchy subject." I informed. Naturally she didn't argue with me as we rounded the corner and approached the office. She was curious about my unique gift, which I was hesitant to divulge. Seeing as I'm not the kind of young man to lie so, I told her the truth.

To make a long story short I'm a multi-telepathic, I can control a wide variety of things with my mind. Before you jump the gun my father is a multi-path himself though he's more the elemental kind. I inherited the other side of the spectrum as in telekinesis, mind reading, bending and kinetics. Naturally she didn't buy for one second until I decided to peer into her mind. "Isn't it true that your dad called you, Sparky Spots?" I wondered.

She stopped dead in her tracks then slowly turned around to face me with a shocked expression. "You read my mind didn't you!" She asked in turn. The smile on my face was all the info she needed though she was still shocked about it. "Bloody hell, with a gift like that you could set yourself up for life. Though you don't strike me as the kind of guy to use his powers for personal gain." She stated after collecting her thoughts.

The bell for homeroom rang so we said are goodbyes then she went to her homeroom. Once she was gone I walked into my house office to get the score on the ID card machine. "Greetings, Mr. Valise I'm guessing the machine is still broken?" I asked as he exited his room. He looked over at me then nodded, so I asked if I could take a look at it. Naturally he was very unsure about allowing me to touch it but, he let me.

So I removed the service panel and looked around to see what was wrong. As I examined the machine inside was a complete and total mess that would take a while to fix. Mr. Valise bent over to see he saw it for himself and couldn't believe it. "So, that's the problem." He asked looking over my shoulder. I nodded yes then I got started repairing the machine the best I could while he watched.

After a good while he left me alone to handle a few things inside his office as I continued. His secretary came over to see if there was anything I wanted while I worked. Of course I thanked her kindly but, declined her offer as I kept working. Sure enough I got the machine fixed and was just about ready to test it. "Okay, here we go." I said turning the power on. The machine turned on, sure enough it started functioning properly.

By this time Mr. Valise noticed that I had finished working and was double checking the machine. "Thanks, Mr. Deltroon now let's get your ID done, so you can report to second period." Mr. Valise said with relief. It only took a few minutes to get my ID setup and printed out. He wrote me a pass then I took off for my second period. When walked into my second period class I couldn't believe who was in the room.

Sadly he didn't see me enter the room so I snuck up behind him and had some fun. "Hey, meat head you know there's dress code." I remarked as I sat next to him. His head whipped to the left then he smiled and of course happily shot back. "That's bullshit, Iros how it's hanging pal." Razze smiled after giving me a playful punch on the arm. He asked me why I had gone to visit Finx the other night.

So I told him it was just to get away from my family for a little while it was nothing serious. From there we changed the topic to something a little less personal for the most part. "So what do you think the teacher's going to look like?" He wondered. I reminded him a little lesson my mothers still reminds me of often. Especially when it concerns trying to predict the outcome of certain events.

He no sooner agreed with me when the teacher came in and stood in front of her desk. As she faced the class everyone in the room including Razze perked up in their seats. "Good, morning class I trust your first day went well." The female lynx smiled. Even I had to admit she was attractive, sadly the idiot beside me just couldn't help himself. "Hello, foxy la*/." Razze, tried to say before I clamped his muzzle shut.

"If you value your tongue, shut up." I barked softly as I looked into his eyes. When he nodded okay then I let his mouth go slowly sadly the teacher noticed us. "Um?, *looks at the attendance sheet.* Mr. Deltroon was that really necessary?" She asked. Naturally I decided to give her an immediate response to her question. "Unfortunately, in his case yes he speaks without thinking, sorry, for disruption ma'am." I replied.

"Ok, please try to refrain from doing that again Mr. Deltroon. Now class my name is, Mrs. Annabel Gerona. I'll your Intro Biology teacher for the first semester." She stated. Next she began going over some of the things we'd be learning during first term. While I decided to find out why he acted like an idiot telepathically. <Razze what in the hell were you thinking, making a dumbass comment like that?> I yelled.

<Sorry, buddy I didn't mean to get you in trouble but, she's a real pretty feline. So naturally I just couldn't help myself seeing as she's a fine piece of tail.> He replied honestly. Of course he flinched when I informed him that Finx was also listening in on the conversation. He greeted her which he received a rather nasty comment in return from her. Luckily her teacher walked into the room before she could say anymore.

<I'm doomed aren't, I?> He asked. Of course the smile I gave told him far more than mental words could. <Dude, you're really not helping me here.> He whined. <Hey, you did it to yourself, Razze I had nothing to do with it.> I stated shortly later. Before the bell rang she handed out a few safety papers that our parents had to sign. So we could participate in the lab experiments then the bell rang dismissing the class.

While I was on my way to my next class someone was trying to talk to me telepathically. <Hey, little brother you got a minute?> Aniu asked curiously. <Yeah, sis what's up?> I replied. <I just wanted to let you know Keith is going to kick your ass. He's probably going to jump you sometime after school today.> She informed. Of course I asked her if he figured out that I read his mind when we first met.

She told me no that wasn't the case it was due to the fact she dumped him shortly after. When he brought her to her homeroom class which made me chuckle in response. With that I told her that it wasn't her problem anymore and that I'd handle him. Of course I reassured her that I wouldn't caused him too much bodily harm. If the upcoming situation should come to that particular end result later today.

Naturally after the link between us closed Razze was curious to know what went on. So I told him everything for the most part but, left some details out seeing as they weren't important. I did say that how ever Keith wanted to settle our disagreement would be up to him. Of course Razze offered to back me up should things actually turn violent. Though he knew I could handle myself if the situation takes that route.

With that settled we said our goodbyes then headed to our next period classes before the bell rang. As I arrived at my English arts class another familiar presence made itself known. "Hi, Honey!" She said as she stood behind me. So I calmly turned around to see Finx standing there with a evil grin on her face. "Let me ask you something Iros, is Razze nervous at all?" She wondered as we entered the classroom.

"Nervous, isn't how I'd phrase it Finx but, yeah he nervous like you wouldn't believe." I replied. With that we found a pair of decent seats in the room and calmly sat down next to each other. The late bell rang a few minutes later then the teacher came in shortly after. As the teacher looked around he introduced himself and took attendance. Before he could say or do anything else the class phone rang.

At the same time someone was reaching out to me telepathically oddly enough it was dad. <Iros it's your dad I need you to leave school and come pick me up. My truck broke down and I need a ride, don't worry about your sister. Your mother has that covered okay, I'm on the phone with the school as we speak.> Travis informed. Sure enough the Teacher told me to grab my things and head to my house office.

I said goodbye to Finx then left the classroom quietly then headed to my next destination. Sadly about halfway there I ran into Keith of all people and sure enough he started with me. Unfortunately he wouldn't back down so I was left with little choice. With a merely blast of telekinetic power I pinned him firmly against the far wall. Naturally he was less than please about it and made sure to give me a few death threats.

Before I finally walked away I told him the binding would wear off in a few minutes. Giving me enough time to do what I had to do and leave the school grounds. I arrived at my house office roughly ten minutes later I said hi to the staff and signed out. Though as I went to leave Mr. Valise wanted to have a quick word with me. Apparently Keith had gotten free and told a security guard what happened to him.

He wanted to know if what the guard informed him was true or was a lie on his part. So I asked him if he noticed any kind of marks on my hands from a small spat. Naturally he examined my hands and face, of course he didn't see anything of the sort. With that he kindly let me leave and told me that he'd handle things. I gave everyone a quick goodbye before rushing towards my house office.

"Hi, Kendra I'm here to be dismissed." I said. "Please, sign this paper once you finish, you can only leave through the main entrance of the school." She implied. Mr. Valise asked me if I was involved in a slight altercation with another student. I looked at him and replied saying that I was involved in a verbal disagreement not a brawl. With that he'd handle things from there and I walked towards the main entrance.

As I reached the doors that led out to the parking lot, sure enough Keith reappeared. "Get over here you son of bitch this isn't over now let's go I'll take your head off." He barked. I didn't even bother to give him a response until I saw Celia walking behind him. I reached out to her telepathically and asked her if she'd be willing to help me out. She was more than happy to get Keith off my tail so I could help my dad.

The whole time we chatted he was standing there cussing me out until Celia stood behind him. "OOH!, Keith." She said evilly. His head slowly turned and saw her standing there his fur went completely pale. She asked him rather calmly if he was bothering me, of course he told her. I'm standing their watching and realized that I never want her mad at me. "Hey, Iros I've got things here you head out okay." She stated looking over at me.

"Thanks, Celia swing by Fresno Service Station around 5:30 this afternoon I'll pay you back." I said, walking away. She nodded okay as I rushed outside to my car sitting the parking lot. I jumped in, fired up the powerful V10 engine and drove off campus. My next stop was work to grab a tow truck then to go retrieve my father off the highway. Luckily the garage wasn't far from the school when I pulled into the parking lot.

Jay noticed my car pulled in so he met me over by the flat bed parked close by the building. Granted I didn't have any training on it but, it was the only tow rig present when I arrived. I filled Jay in one what was going on he grabbed the keys then we drove off. Giving dad's cell a call I let him know where were on our way to pick him up. He told us where we could find him and we jumped onto the highway on ramp.

Roughly an hour later we pulled up behind his truck on the right side of the highway. With a few quick greetings, Jay and I wasted little time getting dad's somewhat old pickup onto the flat bed. At first dad assumed it was a stated trooper coming to cite him for loitering. Once the truck was loaded onto the flat bed we headed back to the garage. Where Dad borrowed my car keys then headed back to his job.

Before leaving he wondered if I wanted to head back to school I told him no. Seeing as I didn't know how long it'd take to diagnose and repair his truck I was better off staying. So as the morning went by I spent it running errands, and getting lunch for the shop. It was punishment enough for not going back to school I figured. Though when my mother finds out let's just say she'll be less than pleased.

So naturally I gave her cell phone a ring hoping I wouldn't catch her at a bad time. When she picked up I had caught her on break so I filled her in on what was going on. She wasn't too happy that I didn't return to school but, understood my reasons. I told that Aniu would be getting all my school and home work for me. With that we said our goodbyes then went back to work till the end of the day.

As I walked by to my toolbox Gary asked me to help an elderly woman with her car. While she waited in the office I poked around under the hood of her car and found the problem. It only took me about fifteen minutes to fix her car and get her back on her way. I looked over at the shop's clock on the far wall it read; 5:30 pm., so I took my break. The second I stepped outside and sat down on the curb a large car pulled up.

"Hey, there big boy do you come here often? So, I'm here for my payment." She said. I handed her an ice cold bottle of root beer as I walked over to inspect her car. "This a 1970 Astron Fastcreak LTP, Damn! Where did you find this beauty?" I stated. Before she had a moment I had the hood open and was looking at engine. Celia was standing there with a huge smile on her face I kept poking around.

"My dad owns a scrap yard near the eastern county line it was a birthday present." She replied. I couldn't help but, feel a tad bit jealous at the nice condition her car was in. "I'll say this your car puts my 1969 Raven Nitrous RKX, to shame." I stated gaining her attention. As I closed the hood then looked at her to see the question in her eyes. "So, Iros mind if I ask what motor your Raven running?" She asked curiously.

"She's got the 585 cub. in., 12-pack big block." I replied as her expression changed. "You mean the Devil's Big Block?" She asked a split second later. "Yeah. is something bad about that motor I should know about, Celia?" I wondered. Her response was almost instant as her eyes grew wide in surprise to my question. "ARE YOU SHITTING ME?! With that motor you could hand anybody their ass without trying." She exclaimed.

Celia told me that her father would love to see it seeing as the ones at the yard were junk. So I asked her for the address as she climb back into the driver's seat. As she fired up the engine wrote the address down for me then handed it over and shifted into reverse. After she drove away I went back to work luckily Marcus returned from his errand. With that I grabbed the stuff he picked up for me and work on dad's truck.

As I brought his truck into my work bay a couple minutes later and put it up on the lift. By the time I finally finished it was 8:25 at night Mom wasn't going to be too happy. So I put the truck back on the ground then drove out of my service bay. From there I made my way into the office to let the boss know I was punching out. "Hey, Iros I just got off the phone with your mom and told her you're heading home now." Jason stated.

"Thanks, Jason I'll see you tomorrow afternoon after I get out of school, seeya." I replied. With that I grabbed the keys to dad's truck, fired up the engine and drove home. I pulled into the driveway roughly forty minutes later then got out after cutting the ignition. Mom was waiting for me by the stairs when I walked through the front door. Luckily I wasn't in trouble as we walked into the living room a moment later.

Both mom and dad wanted to know what exactly happened that cause the truck to break down. So I told them that I put four new tires, along with new fuel and brake lines. Though I told them to call Jason to find out how much everything cost since I didn't know. With that being said I fixed myself dinner then went upstairs to my bedroom. Aniu knocked on my door to give me all the work she picked up from my classes.

"Hey, Iros mind if I pick your mind about something?" She asked. I turned around on my chair curious to hear what she had on her mind. "Sure, what's on your mind?" I replied a second later. She closed my door then took a seat on my bed before she said anything to me. Though the look on her face was all the info I really needed to know. Seeing as the topic had something to do with what happened this morning.

"Aniu I know where this is going so let me start by saying this first okay. If I don't protect you who will, besides it's my job as a brother to watch your back. I've suggested this several times before you but, I'll say it once more. You really need to learn better self defense Finx's mentor is willing to teach you." I replied. Her ears flattened behind her head as she slowly looked away from me.

She knew I wasn't playing around seeing as I won't always be there to save the day. So I told her to think it over really hard then give Finx a call when she's made up her mind. Considering I reminded her what happened to her two years ago with her first boyfriend. With that she got up, kissed my forehead then calmly left my room. Leaving me to eat and do my homework in peace while she went to go relax.

As I did that I dialed Finx's cell phone to inform her on the situation with Aniu. Naturally Finx wasn't the person to pick up her phone which surprised me. Luckily Razze was smart enough to put the phone on speaker when she re-entered her bedroom. Once she was comfy I filled them in on the conversation I just had with my sister. Finx agreed with me and said she'd pull Aniu aside then help her see to reason.

With that settled I said goodbye and hung up my phone then went to get some air. As I walked into the living room I asked dad if he'd join me outside for a moment. The second we stepped out onto the patio he could tell something was wrong. So when he asked me I filled him in on everything that went on early this morning. Granted he was still less than pleased as to how he found about it but, understood my reasons.

All he told me was be a good brother and make sure she makes the final call on the matter. He gave my shoulder a reassuring squeeze before going back into the house. Once I felt refreshed I went back inside and back up to my bedroom to finish my homework. Though as I got to the top of the staircase, I needed to speak to Aniu. So I made my way down the hall to her room and knocked politely.

"Hey Aniu got a minute I wanted to apologize for anything I said that upset you." I said through the door. Her response was delayed since she might have been getting undressed. "Relax, Iros I'm not mad if anything you given me plenty to think about. So thanks brother I'd let you in but, I'm not very decent right now." She said through her door. I said goodnight then went back to my room, set my alarm and went to sleep.
