A Date to Remember

Friday-Pallet Hall 4:30 pm

Vulpix was up and ready to start her day. She prepped her mind with memory exercises and took her bath. At breakfast, she ate some Pokefood with Aguav Berries mixed in. This is how it was in the mornings for her. Because of her memory handicap she had to wake up earlier to get her mind to focus on tasks. She doesn't remember much of her days since she had the accident that left her with face recognition amnesia and spotted memories. She remembered that day with the glorious sunset and the rockslide that took her love away from her as well as her memories. She remembered the smiling grey figure at the top where the rocks came from. Then---nothing until her trainer returned to her bedside following a few days in a coma.

Down the hall, Totodile woke up, but he was a mess. He had been trying to figure out the method of freezing things and well made a mess of the room. The windows needed defrosting. He had been trying to improve his Ice Lab grade and to impress the teacher, Ms. Jynx. "Man I gotta fix this mess before my roommate comes back. He turned to his fright and saw his yellow avian roommate sleeping among the frozen beds. "Keep it down out there," said the sleepy-eyed psyduck. Looking around, he pulled out his schedule. Totodile was hoping his idea for a trip to Sootopolis will help Vulpix remember him. He just had to walk down the hallway to her room.

(Knock) He heard vulpix say just a minute so decided to wait outside until she was done. "Since I am waiting, I should confirm the stuff for today with my trainer." He whipped out his Jogram cell phone to call his trainer in Lilycove.

Totodile: I am trying to get Vulpix to remember those nights we spent together before that accident that damaged her memory.

Shawn: Totodile! You aren't depressed anymore.

Totodile: I know... can you help me?

Shawn: Okay. As for transportation, I'll send pokemon. Oh you know Sissy?

Totodile: Sissy? Isn't that Vulpy's trainer?

Shawn: We are engaged. Isn't that awesome?

Totodile: Cool!!!

Shawn: We'll send pokemon to help you guys out. Oh and be safe out there.

Totodile: Just wondering, why did you send me here in the first place?

Shawn: To tell you the truth, I know you missed her and would try anything to get her back, So I am giving you a headstart. By now, your transport should be here.

Totodile: Sure your pokemon can get from Lilycove to the Southern Islands in 20 minutes.

As soon as that conversation ended, totodile saw a shadow in the sky as the leaves of their help descended from the sky. Totodile saw that his help was Tropius. "Hello, I am Gaelica, your help for this afternoon of love." She had strong leg muscles, a sturdy look but tender eyes. She smelled of a recent yiff episode, but Totodile wasn't in the mood for talking about that right now. Besides, she towered many feet above him. "I'm so glad she isn't in season for mating, otherwise I wouldn't be able to hold myself off," he thought lustfully before reprimanding himself for such a thought. The door to vulpix's room swung open. She was wide-eyed as she saw the gracefully strong Gaelica. She blushed as she smelled the scent of another plant pokemon on Gaelica. "Hi totodile and Ms. Tropius," she said. "You can call me Gaelica, and I will be your transportation to Sootopolis, the city in a volcanic lake.

Here is a quick lesson about Sootopolis's geography. It is located in the subtropics of Hoenn, in the West Hoenn Sea. It is the same distance from Mossdeep Island and the Hoenn Leagues. The city itself is totally surrounded by water and is only accessible by submarine at 250m below sea level or plane as the volcano is too steep to be climbed on. Pokemon of this area include Sableye, and Deep Sea pokemon like Clamperl and Relicanth. It is also a wealthy area with a very traditional architecture similar to Pokemonpolis architecture. The town resides in about 500 m from the top of the volcano and is about 1000m above sea level. Also the inner slope of the volcano is unique allowing for easy scaling inside the volcano and minimal rock slides.

Friday-Sootopolis 5:00pm

Today was a particularly sunny day and Gaelica flew at amazing speed allowing them to reach Sootopolis in record time. About 20 minutes from the Southern Islands. Totodile could barely hold on and had to hang on to her tail as they blew past wingulls and Mirage Island. Vulpix pulled the poor reptile up and commented on his habit of overeating berry pizza. "Thanks for the ride, Gaelica," the two pokemon replied. "No problem, but I have someone waiting back in Lilycove for me, Sissy's Meganium." Vulpix smirked. "Always the beautiful lesbian, Gaelica," thought Vulpix.

"Well we have more time to eat and take a city tour. We have three hours, so let's eat now," said Vulpix. "Wow that was what I was thinking," replied Totodile. He was blushing a lot. No glitches in his plan for today so far. "Man her beautiful eyes, her lovely face, and her warm attitude... I love her," he thought to himself as he led her to a pokemon-run restaurant, Ella's Cocina. "Here we are, Ella's Cocina. They serve a mean cheese alfredo and nice Magikarp fillet." Vulpix's stomach began rumbling. "Hehehehe..." nervously laughed Vulpix. "I guess I am really hungry.

A Linoone approached them in a Maitre'd outfit. "I am Linus, and I will be your neighbor today." He was a shiny Linoone with a perfect stature and a nice smile. Its accent was quite metropolitan and pleasing to the ears. Totodile also noticed that he was quite endowed with a decent sized pouch. Totodile resolved to keep Vulpix at eye level. "I see, you are the one with the reservation, come to the waterfront seats," said the shiny Linoone.

As they ordered, Totodile asked the waiter to put on the music for their dinner. "Ah, the music request. We could not find the song you were looking for, but the restaurant owner will still sing for you," said Linus with a smirk. "I hope this song will suffice your appetite, Mr. Totodile." Totodile narrowed his eyes in irritation. Out came 2 Lombres and a Gardevoir. The Gardevoir was Ella but she was wearing a flamenco dress instead of the usual white gown. She also had a flower in her hair on the right side of her hair. Quite the beautiful lady she was. Then her husband came out, which was a...Gengar dressed in the salsa garment, with a white blouse and dark pants, that salsa dancer look.

"What the hell?" said Vulpix. "Is Gardevoir an Indeterminate form?" Totodile shrugged... "Yes they are...which is weird." Again, they had the same thoughts. Ella and her husband, Khannie, began to sing. Both of them had good voices...but they were singing "La Bamba," a song about scoring in Spanish. "At least they sing well, even though if Vulpix knew what the words were. It could have been worse," thought Totodile with a nervous look. Vulpix turned to him, smiling. "Hey Todd, what are you so nervous for? I love this song. It was a song I heard long ago." Her memory flashed back to her first night with her not water pokemon friend, still the face was unclear and her memories were still spotty. Moving away from this flashback, she perks her ears up to the music as they dine.

Friday- Sootopolis Harbor 6:30pm

After the dinner show, the two strolled to the harbor in hopes of finding Gaelica to take them to the volcanic rim. On the way, Totodile purchased the lax incense for Vulpix. "Why thank you (looks at Price Tag) O My god, that's too expensive." Totodile just smiled as he looked into the desert of his wallet. "This better be worth it later..." thought the Totodile. Vulpix grinned at him commenting about his thoughtful look.

Suddenly, the lax incense disappeared from Vulpix's paw. In front of them appeared a female Sneasel with large claws. It then rushed away from them towards the docks. "Get back here you thieving bitch!!!" screamed Vulpix. Totodile never saw Vulpix show such a strong emotion until today. Her body was covered in flames and her eyes were lit up in a curse-inflicting glow. Totodile was prepared to run after the sneasel. It sped off on the cruise liner as vulpix and totodile looked for a way to get the thief.

They looked to one side and saw Gaelica back staring at them. "Well you guys need a lift?" Vulpix nodded. So they took after the pokemon. Luckily, the sun was still there and it didn't take long for them to catch up with Sneasel. Vulpix jumped off Gaelica and landed right next to Sneasel. "Who are you," said Vulpix. Sneasel replied with a crush claw knocking vulpix off balance and close to falling into the water. Totodile then jumped down and launched his brick break at sneasel, but failed to connect as she knocked him into some chairs. Gaelica had to stay back because she couldn't land o the boat. "Hahaha..." laughed the Sneasel in a prideful manner. "You both stink." Vulpix then came from the side and tackled Sneasel knocking the lax incense away from her then she used flamethrower Sneasel, knocking her off the boat. Totodile picked up the lax incense. "Wow, what a woman," said Totodile aloud. "And I don't take it back. Gaelica returned to the port and Totodile and Vulpix went to the volcano inner base.

Friday- Mt. Sootopolis Inner Slope 7:30pm

Totodile and Vulpix made their way up the mountain quite easily due to the well worn paths of others who climbed out to experience the scenic ocean. They got up about 7:50, ten minutes until sunset. The sky was already splitting into its various colors. They decided to talk for a bit.

Totodile: How are you doing, Vulpy?

Vulpix: (Glowing) I am fine, Todd. So why did you plan such a wonderful date?

Totodile: It was because...

Vulpix: (innocently) Yes???

Totodile: You see... the sunset over there!

Vulpix turned to see the descent of the solar being, in its glowing perfection across the landscape with a sea breeze and just the sound the sea was heard. The sky was a rainbow as the reds, oranges, yellows, greens, blues and indigoes stretched from the horizon. "Oh this is the moment I would love to preserve forever," cried out Vulpix with tears of happiness in her eyes. Totodile's arm was on her shoulder. Another flashback...the faces this time were crystal clear. It was Totodile with her that day and the one who collapsed the rocks was an Absol. "It's you, Totodile from Mt. Ember. O my god!!!" cried out Vulpix more. "I love you so much!" Totodile was also crying with joy as his soul was uplifted as he hugged his lover.

Behind them was a shadowy figure, dripping wet with the lake water. "These two lovebirds will enjoy each other's company in death." She smiled and slashed the rocks below them, causing the entire platform the two lovers were standing on to collapsed and fall toward the sea, the rocks being above them. "Eat this, jackasses" yelled the sneasel as she ran off with the lax incense that didn't fall.

Totodile was determined not to lose her ever again. He began to push him self into Vulpix using his water gun...knocking her away from the path of the falling rocks but left himself falling faster. When they hit the water, vulpix quickly jumped out to dry off. Totodile hit the water too hard before the rocks came and landed on him. She looked about the area for him, checking from the mall shore. "Totodile?" she shouted. "O my god, he may be still in the sea." She decided to brave the water and dove back in. She took one minute intervals to search for him and dry off so that she won't die in the sea. After some time, she found Totodile wash up on the shore, bleeding some, but looking pale. "Help!!! Help!!! Help!!!" she cried until Gaelica saw them and took them to the Sootopolis Hospital.

Friday: Sootopolis Hospital 9:43pm

The doctors were talking to Shawn next door. His face was hidden as he looked mover at Totodile's seriously damaged body in the hospice room. Vulpix was in the bed next to him, still being treated for hypopyroia (below normal levels of internal flame), not serious, but still needed observation. The doctors were saying that Totodile may die in the night as he only had a 30% chance of surviving. "Vulpix leaned over to Totodile's bed. "If you can hear me, know that I love you and I don't want to lose you. Please stay alive, don't give in to the darkness. It isn't your time." She had lots of tears in her eyes. Shawn moved back to Totodile's bedside and held his paw, hoping for a miracle. "Totodile, I can't lose you, you were my first pokemon and my favorite."

Vulpix was released from the hospital about 11pm as her internal temperature returned to a normal level, but she stayed with Shawn and Totodile. They fell asleep next to their friend in hopes he will still be here tomorrow.

Saturday: 11am - Sunday 2 am

Vulpix got up and stretched herself as she usually did in the morning, but instead of her mental exercises, she looked for Totodile's bed. Shawn came into the room and picked up Vulpix. She noticed that he wasn't crying. "What happened to Totodile?" she asked in her pokemon language. "Don't worry there, he has been moved into ICU from the hospice room. "He survived the night and is no longer comatose."

Vulpix ran into his room and saw Totodile slightly conscious, gritting his teeth in the pain. "It hurts so much," cried out Totodile. She just nodded happy to see him alive. Doctor Joy came in. "Provided he is well by midnight, we will repair his organs." Shawn nodded and signed the consent form for the operation. At midnight it happened. The surgery began and went without a hitch. To the surprise of Doctor Joy and her medical interns, there was only a bit of bruising left and only his lowest left rib as broken.

Doctor Joy came back into the room after the surgery, wheeling Totodile back in, who was now upright, and a little goofy from the anesthesia. "It's a miracle he was ok, but him losing ribs isn't good for his health as he will not be able to do much if he loses ribs. The time was 2 am on Sunday.

Of course, Shawn and Vulpix were ecstatic about his remarkable recovery. Later that day about 5pm, they left for their campus, ready to end this date and begin the relationship.

Sunday Evening: School of Hard Knocks, Residential Area

The two lovers were taking a nighttime stroll through the residential park. Holding paws, they told each other some stories of their first week, talking about the nasty disposition of Mrs. Jynx when Mr. Chan called her ugly, about eevee failings in gym, and about Mr. Nido's creepy dark side and orange size balls not being able fully into his body. Totodile talked about his awkwardness during class. They were blissfully unaware of anyone else in the area. Then looking out for a brief second, they saw a large pokemon scurrying about, sniffing the air as if tracking a scent. It was Yin the Absol, sniffing the air, smiling to himself. He looked at them, then said "hello" in his innocent voice. Vulpix then began to growl at him.

Totodile: What's wrong with him?

Vulpix: It's him.

Totodile: Who?

Vulpix: That damn absol that took away clear memories via rockslide.

Yin searched his mind and recalled them from Mt. Ember.

Yin: Oh, you guys. Sorry about that rock...

Totodile: You are that bastard. We will destroy you for doing that to us.

Yin: Get real; I could destroy you both by myself.

Vulpix: Try it

Yin: Just accept my apology and I'll be on my way.

Vulpix: Eat that apology since it's not sincere coming from a murderer. How can you be forgiven for taking away years of our love from us?

Totodile: Can you bring back those pleasant times? If so we will take them back. But you can't.

Yin began sweating nervously as all that guilt came flooding in, only kept from paralyzing him because of the danger to his life. The two pokemon rushed him and began a furious assault. "I warned you guys." And so he stood still as they thrashed his body to pieces. "Wait a second, that was a substitute!" cried out Totodile. The two pokemon saw a glowing from their side as Yin was doing a swords dance. "Well are you ready for pain?" He launched a double shadow ball, but half power and knocked vulpix and totodile back. They both got up with only some damage. Once again they lunged at him ad he did substitute. This time, he snuck up behind them and scared them with another shadow ball that grazed their sides. It stunned them long enough to allow Yin his escape.

"Wow, he could have finished us, but he didn't," said Vulpix. "But we will meet up with him another day to settle accounts." Totodile just grumbled as they went to their dorm to have their fun. That was the noise of love that Eevee heard from Vulpix's door when she was looking for release.

So all the characters had a nice weekend... sorta. Well now to introduce the new set of troubles for these characters.
