Chapter Twelve: Wall of the Fallen

The group trudged onwards out of the forest and into a dark corridor, a string of lights familiar to the ones that they encountered when they first started the game appeared, leading the way into yet another even that the mistress had planned out. Exim now followed without a care, it had been a while since he needed to be shocked with his collar, the others seemed to just follow his lead, seeing him as the pure strongest player.

This fact worried Gabriel and Brian, their time in the forest was spent with each other, but in actuality they spied on the others, gathering strategic information, and all signs pointed towards Exim beating them out in the end, this wasn't a competition that everyone could win, there would be ONE and only ONE winner. Brian would not allow Exim to take his dream from him, nor would Gabriel but Brian was the one with the fire in his belly.

"So what do we do in the event that we need to eliminate another player to survive?" Brian brought the subject up casually, almost informally addressing it to Exim. "You know say it's Sacrifice or Victory, which would you chose?" Brian was good at gathering information harmlessly.

"What are you getting at?" Jackie asked she had seen enough sacrifice for her sake, the images of Cloe being dragged into the water and Osirus's smirk as he plummeted into darkness still burned in her retina. "I don't want anyone to sacrifice themselves, let's just finish this thing and go home, then we can all hang out together right miss Mary?" Jackie felt cleansed now that Teri was gone, like a victim after an exorcism.

"He's getting at the fact that mistress will probably only allow one of us to win, and he wants to know if anyone is dangerous enough to take out early, didn't you notice Jackie, since we entered that forest the concept of partners and teamwork went out the fucking window, it's all about sole survival now, no you and I, it's you or I " Zack put it bluntly, not feeling that he was the weakest but nowhere near the strongest, he still had many things he could not physically do that the others could, he was more or less a back up player.

"Hey" Exim turned around and held his hand out in a sort of GO TEAM position. "I want each and everyone of you to promise me, we compete together, we finish together, we win together, she can't drive us apart if we don't let her, simple enough, she designed each game to eliminate ONE player at a time, but if we all finish just ONE game then she will need to change her plans, if we make it to the end then she can't get rid of us all in one shot, it's not to her liking, we're more in control of this game than we know, it's our performance that decides the next test, also did anyone else notice something.. these events are tests of our character, think about it Osirus was a complete pervert, but instead of sitting back and watching something he'd usually masturbate to he was forced to make the right decision and save Jackie." Exim muttered the last part, not really sure of it himself but this was more or less a giant morals exam.

"That's not true, Cloe was always nice and she lost saving Jackie, where's your poetic justice in that?" Gabriel piped into the conversation as they all continued to walk, not even aware that they were nearing the end of the string.

"Actually" Jackie spoke softly remembering what Cloe told her before she lost the game. "Miss Cloe told me she wanted to be a mommy but she couldn't because of her bad habbits, she said that she couldn't continue on as she was and expect to raise a child, so maybe that was her test to see how badly she wanted to remain the same?" Jackie was starting to see what Exim was seeing but the others shook it off as just twisted logic.

"Look I'm just saying we need to be stronger now than ever before, we need to pull together we need to" Exim stopped talking as he crashed into a dark solid object and bounced backwards knocking Mary, Jackie, Zack, Gabriel, and Brian over in a domino effect. "Ow.. watch where we are walking" Exim looked up in amazement, this game was really really bigger than all of them.

In front of the group stood a wall of chained furs. Each of them blindfolded and bound in place by their ankles and their wrists. Each of them connected like the links in a diamond fence. The wall of them stood at nearly twenty feet high and about ten feet long. Each of them had a strange sort of breathing mask on, their ears and nose protected, their ears covered so they couldn't hear, all in all it was sensory deprivation.

"Oh my god" Mary gazed up, seeing a small ladder at the top of the wall, which led into the next room, a timer on the wall signified only Sixty minutes to climb the massive wall. A monitor on the floor flicked on making Mary leap up in a startled shock

"Welcome surviving players, this is the fate of all who fell before you, the wall of the fallen, don't worry they're alive, just heavily sedated and deprived of sight, sound, and smell. Each of them signifies another person you must climb over to reach the goal, your friends and your stepping stones are one in the same now, each one of these links was a potential player, either eliminated in one of the earlier round, or eliminated in the preliminary rounds" The mistress smiled and hit a button on her chair, the clock above them starting. "You have an hour to reach the top, but there is a bonus, you can save as many of these LINKS as you want, though realize the more you save, the tougher it will be to climb for yourself, even people you've lost are buried inside the wall, find them and you can recover them, but leave them and this will happen" A row of vents in the walls began to open, a hot liquid pouring into the room, the liquid was black and smelled like melted plastic.

"That is Liquid Latex, kind of like liquid cement but a lot more comfortable, THAT will bond to whatever it touches forming a shell around it that can only be broken by force, now the room will slowly fill with this substance, coating the wall as time progresses, at the end of an hour I will shut the door and anyone inside will become encased along with the rest of the losers, to your left are breathing masks like the ones the Links have, please wear them, we don't want any of our precious players dying now do we?" The video shut off and a large clock began to tick down, the players scrambling for the masks.

"This is getting insane" Exim spat and took a deep breath putting the mask on and noticing that it regulated air for him, a small microchip inside of it creating false oxygen. "This is groundbreaking technology, if only it was put to good use and not for this sick game" Exim muttered and Jackie came across a radio built into the ears of the mask.

"Yeah swimming would be cool, think of all the sunken treasure you could find if you could breathe under water!" Jackie giggled and the others could be heard breathing.

"Okay so there are communication links for us to talk, clearly she wants some cooperation, but how do we climb that wall?" Exim moved close and rubbed the fur on the bottom Link, not someone he recognized. A low pitched Hum could be heard from inside the room, the liquid Latex beginning to coat the floor, as it oozed down the walls like runny waterfalls.

"Oh my god" Exim backed away realizing that the hum was that of an electric dildo, no thousands of them, the males all getting an erect penis which made their method of climbing. "This is disgusting" Exim shuddered but then remembered the time limit and took a hold of the next highest cock, using it as a grabbing point he pulled himself up, a muffled moan coming from the fur who he grabbed. "It's like Gym with all the fun of the catholic showers" Exim muttered and continued his journey up leaving the others to follow him.

"Wait Exim we need to save these people, NONE of them deserve to be encased, whether we know them or not!" Mary couldn't stand by and let these innocent furs be trapped forever she had to do something, searching frantically for some way to release them as the goo began to approach the bottom of the wall.

"Mary we don't have time we can save maybe one or two of them BUT Realize the more we save the more competition there will be, the longer you'll be stuck here and the more you'll have to suffer, NOT TO mention you'll destroy OUR way out, she said the more you save the less paths there will be!" Exim couldn't fathom sacrificing himself ever.

"THAT'S NOT THE POINT!" Mary screamed and then began to cry into her helmet, Zack taking her by his arm and lifting her onto his back while he began to climb up the right side of the wall ignoring Mary's frustrated pounding on his back to release her.

"Hey each of these masks have a name!" Gabriel discovered as he got about two links from the ground, which was now coated in Liquid Latex. "See?" The fur he was climbing bore the name Alex and was a Jackal man with a nice sturdy penis for Gabriel to climb up on.

"So what?" Exim was getting annoyed, he said they needed to save each other, NOT everyone who failed at this game, if they tried to save everyone they would either A run out of time, or B be betrayed later in the game by someone they had saved, the best thing to do was just hit the ladder as fast as possible.

"SO look there are keys around their necks... wait these are to different furs!" Brian was the one to discover Alex's key around the neck of a young Zebra boy named Derek, his firm body was good for holding position.

"Throw me the key Brian!" Gabriel held onto the next penis up and held his arm out, Brain tossing Gabriel the key to Alex's cuffs and with a click, Alex was free, his mask emitting a sedative drug that kept him out of it, Once removed he came back to the living world.

"Oh.. god damn what happened?" Alex looked around and saw that he was apart of a LARGE wall of people. "What in the name of hell?" He pondered but then saw his liberator. "Man thanks I thought I was done for once I fell off that floating course, you did me a solid" Alex gripped onto the legs of the one above him and smiled, climbing up the rest of them and to the ladder, securing himself a spot with the others.

".. God damn it!" Exim cursed loudly and watched as they all began to search for the keys around the necks of random furs. "This is it, you're going to test how well we can let the dying die?" Exim looked down at the clock, only forty five minutes remained.

"I FOUND ONE!" Jackie cried out grabbing a key of a lady named Maria who Mary managed to locate near the bottom, the Liquid late begining to rise slowly to their feet. With a click and a gasp for breath Maria was free, a small blond haired mouse girl she quickly scurried up the poles and began to search for her partner Marcus's Key.

"This is nothing but bad" Exim spat inside his helmet and then sighed climbing down to help. It wasn't long before he came across the name of someone he had known. "Cloe" He looked at the key and felt a deep pain in his heart, another fallen player who was just doing the right thing, surely she deserved a second chance.

Just as Exim began to contemplate this the level of the Liquid began to rise, covering the first tier of furry prisoners, binding them into a sealed fate of living Latex apparel. "DAMN IT!" Zack began to climb quicker, the slowest of them all he didn't have much time to go before the goo swallowed him whole.

"JUST FIND PEOPLE WHO MATTER!" Exim screamed, not about to lose them over something as stupid as rescuing strangers. The group ignored him desperate to find those who had failed before them, regardless of situation.

With a loud squeal Maria managed to find her brother Marcus and they both dashed to the ladder leaving the others behind, now only thirty minutes remained on the clock.

Exim held Cloe's Key close and turned, pained as he dropped it into the goop and resided that she was lost, gone forever With that he climbed up to the ladder and left the others, for their own fates he would not be sealed forever in latex, not now, not after he's fought so hard.

Exim could only watch as the others quickly began to destroy their own path, only saving three additional furs to bring the total survivors up to a neat and tidy twelve players, they began to scale the wall, already more than a quarter lost to them. They held onto the keys in hopes of finding another survivor, but most of them were simply dog tags of those who had been lost to them.

Jackie froze as she saw the name Osirus pinned on one of the masks, the firm body, the tender skin, the massive erection it was the real Osirus. "SOMEONE HELP ME FIND HIS KEY!" Jackie squealed into the communicator and all other searches were left to help find Osirus's missing key.

"Damn it" Exim cursed in disgust, how twisted was the mistress to bring such false hope, he really doubted that there even was a key for Osirus, it was just a trick to play with their emotions.

"Did they say Osirus?" Maria reached around her neck and felt a key that had the name Osirus.

"Give that to me now!" Exim lunged for it but Marcus and Alex kicked him away. "Ow, you're going to deny the people who just saved your lives!?" Exim was furious getting up and throwing punches at the two but it was no use, combined they were too strong.

"Give us one good reason we should, this Osirus could end up beating us out of the game, if we lose then it won't matter if you saved us!" Alex growled as Exim continued to fight for the key, being beaten back and to the floor with each attempt, Alex was superior in strength, and Marcus was blindingly quick.

"Please give me the key he's our friend!" Jackie pleaded along with Mary and the others but the other survivors would have none of it, the less competition the better in their opinion. "PLEASE HE'S INNOCENT!" Jackie screamed at the top of her lungs nearly letting go of the link she was clinging to.

"FUCK OFF!" Alex shouted and then went and threw the key down the hole. The key falling fast and whizzing by Jackie who leaped off to catch it but was pulled back by Zack's trunk, holding the flailing and sobbing Labrador.

"NO WE COULD HAVE SAVED HIM!" Jackie went into a fit of tears as Zack continued up the wall, not stopping to help anyone else as he had seen what it reaped them. Gabriel and Brian stopping their attempts as well. All of them heading towards the next destination. Jackie having to be drug along through her wailing sobs and Mary who had all but given up hope, as the black goo eclipsed Osirus and again, he was lost before their eyes to the darkness.

"You pricks" Exim spat out blood and lay on the floor beaten and bruised, not only his body, but his ego, his pride, these players were Exceptionally stronger which meant that they only lost by sabotage, and they themselves were likely to sabotage them for a chance at their life dream being fulfilled. It was horrible what this game did to people.

Zack panted as he climbed through the small hole with Jackie and Mary in tow, Gabriel and Brian following close behind as they slammed the door to the room below shut, unable to watch as they caught their breath. Mary sprang to life and rushed over to Exim who was laying beaten nearly to death.

"What kind of monsters are you, who gives you the right to deny the people who saved you, WE COULD HAVE LET YOU GET ENCASED INSTEAD!" Mary screamed at the top of her lungs, a furious hiss coming from her as Alex walked over and kicked her hard.

"Shut up, it's not our fault you made poor choices, this is a competition you willingly widened your opponent base, it wasn't our fault you suck at playing" Alex was a cruel man, willing to hurt and destroy anyone in his way to get his goal. "You're not worth the end prize for me, I win this and my record goes poof" Alex chuckled and Maria and Marcus held each other close.

So it was set, now there were twelve players Some ruthless and others abiding to a moral code. The game has shifted from survival to vengeance, the only chance to recover Osirus and Cloe, gone forever one by choice, the other by betrayal, what will the next few chapters hold as players turn inwards towards each other in a personal vendetta?

" They came so close" Mistress chuckled and watched the tape of Exim getting beaten up. "You are so foolish, to try and muscle through things you don't really believe in, you let your emotions get the better of you stupid rabbit, that's why they beat you, that's why they took away your chance at winning back your friends" Mistress turned to the Latex statues of Cloe and Osirus. The furs having been broken out long ago, now back in their holding cells. "I do however love my art" Mistress purred she was a collector of sorts, a new art fetish called Full Body Cast Molding.
