Vale Chapter 3

"It could be said that so many different types of pokemon could never live together. Yet the pack of the valley did just that. Despite being of different species they all co-existed. Many were welcome to the pack. Yet at times some didn't want to live with others that they thought that were weaker. That they felt that were dragging them down. So they unable to live such weakness they believed so they left our pack. Yet we must not forget they are now alone out there beyond the valley borders they would have little to protect from who is out there. If they have no one else to be with, then they have no one to look out for them. Yet here we are, here to help each other and we always have each other to look . We are one family one pack." Fira looks at her audience made up treeckos bulbsaurs growlithes eevees and other various pokemon who live here. Some are a captive audience others as with all cubs are playing with each other or picking on each other. A young growlithe is being picked on by a psyduck who is poking the shivering growlithe.

"Now now dear how would you like it if I poke you like that?" Fira ask in a playful tone as one of her tails begin to glow and pokes hard into the psyduck's side hard making the water pokemon cry out in pain.

Psyduck looks up at the great ninetails with a tear in it's eye. "That hurt..." It looks at the growlithe who is being look after by another growlithe who glares at the psyduck. " I see what you mean elder." The psyduck looks at the ground ashamed oh his actions.

"I know you don't mean to do that but we all don't like to made fun of or teased. We are a family and respect each other as such. Do you all understand?"

She receives a loud yes in response. As she smiles at that.

"And yet you always seem to pick on me during these stories times." A deep voice calls out from behind the group of pokemon. A large luxray with a clingy vaporeon who looks a bit terrified of all there. Also a buizel who is riding a very large arcanine who both have a look of amusement at the luxray's comment.

The ninetails looks at the luxray with a hurt look. " If I remember dear you always seem to be asleep during all the stories. I didn't know if you bored or just lazy." The ninetails says mischievously.

" I was neither I was tired and I wanted to sleep." The luxray huffs. As the other gather around the group many of the eevee's and growlithes run to attack the arcanine and all seem to pile on to him as he laughs playfully as the buizel is being drag away by some of the plant types who seem to have use vine whip to drag the flailing buizel away.

" I am not a play thing!!" The buizel struggles in vain trying to break free yet it seem that many of them are having fun at his expense and failed attempts to get away.

Some look at the luxray also at the vaporeon who looks terrified at all around her as he tries to get off his back but to no avail as she has a death grip on him.

A young eevee looks at her. " Who is she Kain. I never seen her before.. Is she new to the pack?"

With that many also start to ask the same question until a treecko who is sitting on the tied up buizel. "It's his mate I bet. Why else would she be like that on him. He must be going to fight." The treecko says proudly.

Many of the group gasp. All that know Kain as being nice to all but so distant from most around him. Yet here he had a vaporeon on his back who seem attached to him. In a more physical way. Kain looks away blushing a bit. Many there are laughing at this knowing he is not one to blush. The ninetails walks up to him.

" I see you are going to fight if you brought her out. I think your father is going to be happy that you are going to attempt win the position of alpha. Though you should know that others will not be happy that you are taking a outsider as a mate. Though I think some will see this as you being you. Since you and your father never really saw eye to eye on anything."

Kain sighs at this. " I know Fir... I mean elder." Kain blushes a bit

Fira laughs at this. " I know your father would berate you for you calling me by my real name. Also don't want the little ones to start doing that either." Fira plays with some of young ones with her tails as she tickles some of them with them. The buizel finally breaks free and chases the other pokemon who tied him up. They run away laughing.

The arcanine is laying watching the buizel run after the young ones as the others all seem to be trying to climb to the top of his as if it was something to conquer." Bui please don't scare the young ones."

" I am not some prize to tie up and be played with Arc." He huffs until he is hit by a bullet seed from a treecko who laughs at him but stops as Bui shots a water gun at him soaking the treecko.

Kain sighs at this as he finally get the vaporeon off his back while her grip was loosen a bit. She lands with a soft epp as she tries to hide behind Kain . Yet a bit hard as so many seem to want to know who she is and keep asking questions, such as who she is where is from, to how many times has she and Kain mated already.

Fira laughs at how Kain blushes at that one. Fira walks over to the scared vaporeon, and has her tails wrap around to block everyone from her. " I am sorry children but...what is her name again Kain?"

"Her name is Vale elder. Could you please look after her. I need to state my desires to father about the what I intend to do. To make sure all I care for are safe." He looks at Vale who is hiding in the tails while the other are poking at the fluffy tails trying to get her to come out.

" You do as you must child I'll look after her and the others " She turns her head towards Bui who now being piled onto as he flails about underneath them all as Arc laughs at his predicament. Kain walks over and plucks Bui out of the pile.

" I am not going alone you're coming to. If Saber and I are doing this so are you. Your mother told me if I get you to fight she won't complain about Vale."

"All this so you can get a mate. I don't want to fight!" Flails Bui as he his being held by his scruff by Kain.

"Yeah yeah tell dad and see what he says." They head off as some go to play with each other some are picked up by their families and are ready to call it a night after a long day of festivity. As some still try to get Vale to come out and play.

Fira smiles as she pulls her tails out of the way and reveal Vale who panics as she tries to hide in the tails. Yet Fira is a step ahead as her tail glow and prevent Vale from hiding in them. Vale paws at them not wanting to be around so many. Some she has seen though it being Bui Arc and many of the others who trained with her over the last few days. Though the eevee's seem to want to know she is as they gather around her and being to barrage her with many questions. Who she is, where she came from questions about how long has she been Kain's mate. This one brings a blush to her until one eevee walks up to her and ask why she is so thin compare to other vaproeons also why does she have scars over her body. That question begins to make her eyes begin to water. She wants to run from all this she doesn't want to be here as they all seem to be starring at her. She wants Kain to be here to tell her he will protect her to say it will be ok. She is about curl up and cry until a large figure comes in front of her with many pokemon still hanging from him. The large Arcaine sits in front of her.

" She is not in the mood for questions little ones. It's best if you all go play. Run along now." The tone in his voice gives no reason to question him as many do Only a lone eevee is still there looking past as it begins to try and walk past him as the eevees does Arc slams his paw in front of the eevee.

" Don't you need to be some where Lin?" Arc looks down at her. She gives him a huff as she tires to get around the large arcanine. Many of the other pokemon still hanging from Arc are laughing at her failed attempts to get around the large arcanine. She finally huffs as she looks up at Arc " I am not going to fight anyway. I want to know who she is. Ever since Kain left the cave I can barley go play with him and he usually stays away from home. Though mom is happy with that. I don't know why she hates him so much. Who is she? Where she come from? I wanna know Arc let me talk to her pleasepleasepleaseple.. ulp" She begins to glow and float in the air. A Espeon is standing a nearby her eyes glow as Lin floats over and Lin is drop in front of her.

"Dear you know better to leave your father side, he is about to see who is about to fight for his position. Though your brother is going to win." She looks at Lin who has her head down, then the espeon looks up at Arc and Fira. " Thank you for watching after her. I know she tends to act before thinking like her other ...brother. " The last word comes out like it was a bitter tasting berry. She sees the cowering vaporeon a slow smile spreads as she tries to enter mind but is surprised to find it blocked by something. She looks at the ninetails who I playing with the others with her tails.

' Don't look at me Cara I am not doing anything. She is doing it herself. I think she has more power than she realizes though I think it is from her parents. I would leave her alone. Unless you really want to fight Arc. He would protect her from you. He and some others especially a rebellious luxray. He has always look for a reason to fight you. Don't worry Cara one day you will have to look up to her. Go now like you said you have places to be have fun I will be along in a few I don't think I will be missed much. Though I think something will happen this time. I can't wait.' Fira smiles at Cara who eyes narrow as her jewel glows .

' We will see if you still have that smile when my son wins the fight. He will show you all he is the true heir of the pack. Not that worthless son that my mate has.' Cara looks at Lin. " Come child we have to go." Lin just bows her head and follows without another word behind her mother.

Arc watches Cara and Lin leave. " I will never understand how Kain's father ever took her as a mate."

Fira laughs a bit. " I do not know either dear but you have to remember to have the pack to come in he had to have a offering in a sense of their loyalty. She was given to him as a mate so they could be part of the pack. They are a large part of the pack now but they were few at the time. I know her kind she is making a power play though many follow the alpha she is trying to get many to follow her son. Though many would follow Kain because he is much like his father. Don't look at me Arc. Kain's father was much like him. He didn't want to take the position he just wanted a normal life among the pack yet for the ones he cared for he stood up and took the position of alpha from that crazed fool who lead at the time. Though he expected Kain to do the same. Yet Kain is his own mon as he seem to hate his father's over baring attitude. All this when he was a luxio. He hasn't talk to his father unless he had to. I can see it hurt his mother how stubborn his father with his own son.

A arcanine followed by a jolteon both run up both out of breath. "Elder you must come now. Some who left us some time ago have come back. "

Fira looks at them. " Who might that be?"

The jolteon looks away not wanting to say anything as does the arcanine. Arc just sighs. " Just tell us already."

"I will tell you Arc my you have grown. I wonder what Kain looks like now." A deep but feminine voice says from the bushes. A manectric comes out followed by more some who look tired and weary, with a few eletrickes also looking the same as the adults. "We have come home to ask to become part of the family once more."

Fira smiles as she shakes her head "Oh the alpha will enjoy this. I can say this much you came at the right time. Come you must make your case before the alpha. I cannot make that decision for you. Come Arc and you two." She looks towards the jolteon and arcanine. " You both watch the children. Vale come you can see Kain again." When she says this the manectric seems to glare at Vale. Vale sees the glare and moves closer to Fira as she walks off with the pack following her as Arc acts a s a guard following them.

Kain still carrying a fuming buizel by the scruff of his neck . " I don't want to do this I don't want to fight!" Bui hits Kain repeatedly with his tails as he flails as Kain just ignores him. He hears Saber which sounds like he is giving a long speech while saying he is going to fight. Kain sighs figures he would miss his brother's speech. Saber sure did love to speak a lot.

"..... I Promise to lead this pack to greater power and new heights." He says proudly with his chest puffed out, his rings glow brightly as if show off , he looks to his mother who smiles at him, the young eevee next to her has her forepaws up trying to waive to him. A great luxray with large scar over his left eye looking down at Saber from ontop of a great boulder nods. A floatezl has a forced smile as another luxray sitting next to the floatzel smiles also. Some of the Saber's kind cheer with little fanfare but the rest of the others who have gather here, who represent the others of the pack just nod or say nothing as he is the alpha's son.

As he walks off a golduck walks out and kneels before the alpha. " I Gendar wish to battle for the position." He gets up and walks back to the side to where some of the water tribe are at. They cheer for him as does the floatzel near the alpha who seems happy also.

A proud looking sceptile also steps forward and proclaims his willingness to battle, as do the two allies of Saber a leafeon and a flareon. Many seem to be rooting for their champion as the alpha roars to silence them all. As the mon go silent as they look to their leader. "If that..." He looks around for a second as if waiting for someone else to say something but looks sadden as if expecting someone else to show up. Yet no one else comes forward until Bui is tossed throw the crowd before him. Bui skids across the ground before the alpha.

" Sorry da....I mean my alpha.." Kain walks up and mocking bows before the elder luxray. The elder luxray just glares at him. Though many there know both have been at odds for a long time. Mostly over the espeon sitting next to alpha. It has become very hostile over the seasons and vocal for his feelings towards her. It was one of the reasons why he rarely was seen at all with his family.

Bui has his arms folded as he looks away in anger not wanting to be there as he shoved a forward making him stumble a bit. " Fine but you owe me Kain." He mumbles under his breath "Ahem...my alpha... I wish to ..." He mumbles something incoherent and tries to walk away as he walks right into Kain who pushes him back in front of the alpha. Bui just glares back at Kain who is smiling and finally looks back at his father and then sees his mother who is looking at him with a proud look. Bui finally gives in. " It would be honor....to fight for the leaders position." He looks away with a look that says he really does not want to fight.

The alpha just shakes his head in amusement knowing full well Bui was pushed into this by Kain as he is trying not to laugh to much at Bui's unenthusiastic statement. " As do I my great proud Alpha. I do wish to try and claim the great position. Against so many great warriors." As he says this many do cheer and laugh a bit as his statement as it sounded like a joke more than anything. As he is about to walk back to Vale not really wanting to be there. He is really doing this for her more than anything. Also to piss off Cara. As Bui has already gone to his mother side and Saber done the same. He notices that his mother wants to say something but keeps silent with a look from her mate. The alpha looks at Kain with a steely gaze. As it seem to have gotten worst when between him and his father since Saber evolved. It seems that Cara has done her best to put the two at odds with each other. Which was easy as Kain despised her Since she has gone out of her way to make it look like her son was better than Bui or Kain.

As Kain walks back to where he left Vale at others gather around to see why he is suddenly is fighting now as he was so against this a few days ago. As it always with a pack like this many already guessing it is for a female to impress. As a few females already saying they are more than willing to be his mate. As others are trying to get browning points with him seeing as he is the one with best chance to win. He sees the sceptial looking at him with a glare as he knows already the skeptical will be the one to really watch out. His electric attacks will be worthless against him. He knows full well who Saber will be using as his helpers. The leafeon is strong but not as strong as he is and neither is the flareon. They are there to overpower him with numbers than actual strength. Gendar seems like one who has also sizes up his opponents and sees that he is outclasses here with so many who have type advantage over him. He approaches Kain with a grim look and ask if he would accept a helping hand during the battle to come. Kain ask Gendar if he wins that would he let Vale stay and give no trouble over her being an outsider. Gendar is a bit taken back by this request. Seeing Kain could easily over take him. Then realizes that Kain doesn't really want to fight. He smiles at this that Kain would be a great ally and that Kain would help him win this fight and step aside and concede the battle. Gendar saw no trouble with this. Many would do the same as he seen with Saber Kain's younger brother. Saber had his own helpers to make sure battle was in his favor. Gendar saw the sceptile as the only real trouble as most of Kain's and his attacks would have little effect on the plant warrior.

Gendar was about to ask what Bui was going to do if he won. Seeing that everyone knew that Bui and Arc where lovers. It would a bit weird as they seem not to interested in females. The gasp of many caught Kain's and Gendar's attention. As many part with the elder walking with a small vaporeon who looked terrified. That must have been the one Kain was talking about. Gendar could see what Kain was so worried about seeing how she looked. Most males would have taken advantage of her. Yet it was those who followed the elder is what made many gasp at the manectrics who left the pack. To grow on their own as they said it . Yet they look anything but strong as Kain ran up to Vale to calm her down as she seem ready to break down and cry with so many there.

Kain tires his best to calm down Vale as many begin to whisper to her with compassion towards the vaporeon. Yet the glare he was receiving from the female manectric was anything but good. Fira sits before the alpha as she looks up at him, she bows a bit as the rest of the electric pack do the same as they all do bow their heads in a sign of respect.

" I see you brought so new comers to the pack Elder. What brings them here?" The Alpha says in a deep voice.

The female manectric speaks. " Alpha we have com..." She is cut off by the Alpha

" I did not ask you for anything young one. You may be leader but you have no voice the elder does, if your former leader told you anything. You only speak when spoken to." His voice is calm but carries much weight .

Fira just smiles. " Now now Drake no need to be mean to them they are here after all to ask to come home. Sometimes the children must walk alone away from the family to see what the world is really like." She looks over her shoulder at Kain who is ignoring her as he is looking after Vale. She is now basically clinging to Kain as she seems to trying to hide once more as more questions come up about her.

Fira looks back towards Drake who was already off his high perch. "Well Drake as I said they wish to come home as they now seen what life is like away from home. I wish to grant them entrance to our family once more."

Many voices can be heard talking about this as this will be the first time in the packs history that a group who left wanted back in the fold.

A venasuar stomps forward. " How can they come back in Alpha. No disrespect elder they left because they felt that they were being held back by the weaker of the pack." The venasuar glares at the manitricts. "Where is your so called leader the one who had your kind leave?"

Most of the electric pokemon just look at each other a bit depressed as the female looks at the alpha as if it is alright to speak.

" I said you only speak when spoken to child. I assume you speak for your pack." Drake looks at her.

"My father is dead as is most of the males of our pack. We have only a handful of females and half out pups left. To many of us have died when another pack attack us made up of mightyena's and houndooms. They seem to be more organized than any other pack we have met out beyond the borders of these pack lands. We lost many to escape and have traveled many days to arrive here and ask to let back in to the family." She says with a heavy heart. She lowers her head before the alpha. " I wish to fight for our right to come home." She looks up fiercely at the alpha.

Many once more protest about this. Yet they are silenced when the alpha roars loudly making many take a step back despite his age he still held much power making many cower before him, Only his mates the elder and Saber and Kain seem immune to the alpha's roar. Bui is hiding behind his mother. Kain with Vale who cowers with her tail wrapped around her as if it would protect her from the scary luxray.

" If they want back they can fight in the fight for the leadership." Many cry foul saying how could these fools be let back in like that and be allowed to fight. " Yet if she loses she will be the new alpha's mate." He looks at her and then Kain who seem to just heard what his father has just said.

"Wait what? " Kain looks puzzled by this.

Drake walks around the manectric who seems to flinch at his gaze. "Yes she can fight we have had females that lead this pack in the past. Isn't that correct elder."

Fira just smiles knowing the game he plays. Seeing how mad Cara is as his other two mates seem to be talking about their sister who is ready to explode like a golem would when it was losing a battle. " You are correct to fight for the position of alpha is open to all. Even those outside the pack. Though those from outside must wager all they have to fight." She gets up and walks around the manectric who seems to shrink under the elder's gaze.

"She actually has something to wager. Her freedom. Yet if she was alone and no one with her to trade off she would have to wager her life. As we of the pack it is our right to fight for right to lead us all while outsiders must know that must show that convention to live with us here. We are a family despite being different from each other. We are a family above all else." Her voice carries as most agree with her some still grumbling but their voices grow weaker knowing she is right.

Drake looks around to see if anyone else has anything else to say as none do. He nods to Arc to come over. " Arc take them near your pack area and have your mother look after our new members."

Arc smiles as he shakes his head. "Thank you for giving me a reason to go home and see my mother alpha. She will be so happy to see me. That will give her a reason to yell and scream at me for not finding a female mate yet." He says mockingly as he has the electric wolves follow him.

Fira looks for Kain and seeing him leaving with Vale clinging to his back. As many of the mon are parting for him. Drake also sees his son leave, a sadness crosses his face but it passes as fast as it came as his face becomes stoic once more as he leaves his mates following him. The female manectric is about to follow Kain when Fira places her tails in front of the manectric. "No dear I do remember who you are. You know what grief you caused him when you shun him back then. You going to him now will only make matters worst dear." The manectric looks surprised at her words. " You think I do not remember you dear? I know who you were when you were a eletrike. You were given the chance to stay behind. I thought you had loved him or at least you were his friend. Yet you left with out a word. You could have said goodbye yet you didn't. You really think he wants to see you while he is with her now? You could go to him and rip his heart by just being here you have already done that. So child how much do you love him, or is he just someone to lean on nothing more? I can't see you being alone after all this time with your pack."

The manectric looks down. " I see him now caring for that vaporeon and I think that could have been me. Yet how could I leave my father and brother...." she stops as she chokes up.

Fira still refuses to give her any sympathy. " He cried for many days and had tried to follow you and your kind when you left. One of the main reason he withdrew from everyone. He was so happy when he was with you then you left. All said goodbye expect you. I will not let you hurt him again. Even if you win or lose you will not hurt him. If you do I will hurt you." She growls at her as flames seem to dance around her bared fangs. The manectric steps back as she runs back to follow her kind once more.

Vale had never seen so many different pokemon before. The ones she had seen were using her as a fuck toy more than anything. The memories started to creep up once more as she closed her eyes to block them out until she heard a voice call to her from the darkness. The voice was a bit stern but some how kind. Though it was weird as it asked her to get off it's back. Suddenly the world began to move harshly and she begins to lose her grip on Kain's back and falls to the ground with a soft epp. She looks around to see Kain glaring at her. All those pokemon and images fade away as she looks up She shrinks from his gaze as he moves closer to her. " What am I am going to do with you little one. You seem to be more trouble than you're worth. You need to stand up and show some back bone."

He taps her nose softly with his paw as she stumbles on her back and flails a bit. She once more cries as she feels him nuzzle her. " What am I going to do with you my little vaporeon. I could have just walk away and I didn't. You are not my problem yet I made you mine to take care of. Yet I can't leave you alone little one can I?"

Vale looks up at him as she rights her self and sits before him. She looks at the luxray who has put aside his life for her. She realizes that the feelings that boil inside her are those of wanting to be with someone. As she looks at him she feels safe. A feeling that she has not felt since she was with her mother and father. She tries her best to remember them. Yet the memories are buried by the trauma she has felt over the last few seasons.

The love was so freely given to her as an eevee. The memories at there but they soon fade as fast as they came. She begins to cry from the memories that refuse to stay. They make her feel empty as the dark ones come once more. Her memories of her captivity were coming back as she cries not wanting to see them. Then she feels a lick on her face as she opens her eyes. And sees a caring face in front of her.

Kain sadness can be felt by her as she tires to stop crying. Knowing her fears hurt him. He has for the last few days to care for her. Despite everything he has done his best to make sure she was happy. Her acting like this. Yet it frustrates her that she can do so little to show her appreciation towards him. She had tried to give her self as she would when they held her as a fuck toy. Yet he keep telling he no. She didn't understand why he refused her. Then finally words come to her. A kind voice that she heard in her mind as it told her about what love was. "It was not something that you give to anyone Yet it was something that you give to some one who will give you the love in return."

She looks at Kain thinking does he love her as she was told by many who fuck her that they love to fuck her. Yet she felt nothing from them as they took her laughing not caring about how she felt nor how much pain they gave her. Yet he has never done anything to her even when she wanted to please him for all he has done for her. He refused her advances. She thought all males wanted to be pleased as such. Yet he told her no over and over.

She wanted to know how he felt towards her. AS he had yet to once to take her. Maybe she was ugly as many who raped her told her everyday. That all she was good for was to be fucked.

She looks into Kain's eyes as he looks at her with a soft smile. But that changes as a stick snaps he stands before her toward the sound as he grows and electricity begins to crackle around him. "Who is there come out before you regret living !!" He roar loudly.

From the bushes comes a manectric comes out from the shadows. The setting sun gives her body a different shade from her normal blue as if trying to darken her fur. "I..It has been a long time has it not Kain?"

Kain looks at her trying to place her. Then her scent hits him as his face becomes dark his eyes become a dark red. " So you finally come here to say goodbye Maylene." His voice is harsh as Maylene looks hurt by his words.

"Please Kain it was hard to go. I .. I wanted to .." She is cut off by a snarl from Kain.

"LIES!!! I called for you! I begged my father to let me go with you. I went to look for you and was dragged back by the elder. YOU NEVER CARED! YOU DIDN'T EVEN SAY GOODBYE!!! How dare you say anything to me now!" His body begins to crackle with more energy. When a whimpering makes him stop. As he looks back and sees Vale who is cowering behind him. He clams down as he goes to her trying to clam her down.

Maylene looks at this. Her face is filled with disgust. How he would pamper this weak vaporeon. "What are you doing with this weakling Kain you are the alpha's son. You can do better than this. This s.." She jumps back as just swipes at her with his claws. If she had stayed where she was she would have been badly injured. The look of shock is evident on her face.

"You have no right to speak to me about her. You know nothing. You left with your kind and now you try to come here and judge me after all these seasons. Leave now or I will start the battle that is to be tomorrow." He voice carries the threat very clear.

Maylene begins to cry as she runs off as Kain tries to comfort Vale.

Maylene runs for a bit until she can run no more. She reaches the lake she remembers that she would play with Kain at yet now those memories are nothing now seeing maybe she was wrong after all this time. AS her father was for leaving she was worng for not staying with her old friend that she truly loved. She looks into the water as tears drop into the water causing her reflection to wavier.

The sun is nearly down as the darkness approaches fast. A figure sits next to her.

" I told you not to do that. Yet it seems Kain did more damgae to you than I would have been able to you. Killing you would ease your pain but letting you live with the knowdlge you could have had him is much better. Come now your pack needs you. Also you need rest before the coming battle." The great ninetails looks at her.

Maylene looks at her her eyes red form the crying as her facial fur is matted. She just nods and follows the elder. Thinking her words rang true that Kain harsh words were more damaging than killing would have been as she has to live with those words now. No matter the outcome of the battle tomorrow he would still hate her and love that vaporeon.

Sorry for the long wait been busy and many things that took up my time. Hopefully I can get back on track.
