Grant shouldn't stop the shakes through his paws as the airport was busting with life. All of it seem to stand still in his nerves filled his brain. The moment he had been waiting years for finally coming. Of all the time the two had been together, he was finally going to see his love.
It was hard to believe it had already been 4 years...to Grant it seemed like it was only yesterday. The first time they talked to each other online, it was like a bond was made right there. Unfortunately, for Grant, he was with his boyfriend at the time...who dumped him a mere month later.
It seemed instantly, Grant and his mate, Matthias, were together from that point. They helped each other so much, it seemed like it only fit. The way that they saved each other, gave each other hope, and undying affection. A match made in heaven for the two of them.
The announcement of his flight ringed in the fennec's ears, his heart almost stopping. His eyes widened, making sure he had as he picked up his bags. Walking slowly over to his gate, his breathing picked up. This was it. He looked back, his mind trying to tell him to run.
For his whole life, Grant has had a disorder. A social autism, it always made him scared of anything to do with people, no matter how close he was to them. He shook his head, pressing forward through the gate. Nothing would stop him now! All these years, he needed to see him, the man he had loved so much in his life.
Seating on the plane, after his luggage had been put up, Grant pressed against his chair, breathing out. The worst was over, he didn't even mind the flight. The whirr of the engines and the soft noises of the passengers making the long flight somewhat of a blur.
Before he knew it, the turbulence of landing was over, he was finally in Germany. He could finally see the one man he loved more than anything, the shaking returning to his paws as he tried to take his luggage out of the shelf.
All the noise of the world drained as he started to walk off the plane. Would he be there waiting for him? Would he be happy? Grant looked down at his outfit. "Did I dress okay?" he muttered to himself, continuing to walk slowly, his heart pounding against his ribs.
The fennec walked out of the gate, his eyes darting back and forth, trying to find the beautiful emerald dragon he knew and loved. Panting as he looked, his eyes finally locked, seeing the dragon just a few metres away as he chuckled, his tears already starting as he ran toward him.
He dropped his bags as he got to him, the twos muzzles smashing together in a passionate only years of a starving love could give, the smacks of their lips and the pure love of their embrace only for them. They didn't care who was around, this moment was theirs, for no one else.
Slowly their kiss broke, their muzzles still pressed together by their noses as they both cried from the beauty of it all. With a sniffle, Grant said the only words he could:
"I love you."
