The story that started my namesake. Sometimes, those little mall kiosks have some interesting stuff for sale...

Hello, everyone. Janus did a wonderful picture of my namesake, and it just occurred to me I never posted any of the story that started it. Well, it's time to fix that. Hope you enjoy!

"Well, Dan, let's take an assessment of your life right now, shall we? You're 22, somewhere between 205 and 220 pounds depending on the scale, are finishing up courses online while you work at a job that tests the limits of your sanity, and you're terribly uncertain about your future in more ways than one. You're out of shape, hate people in general, and on the rare Saturday night you have off you spent by yourself at a mall playing arcade games and watching a really bad movie. What's not to be proud of?"

Another depressing self assessment of my life complete, I dusted off the remaining popcorn bits from my shirt and pants as I exited the now empty movie theater room. Most of the mall was still open in the late evening hour, though an occasional security gate pulled down in front of a store suggested that it wouldn't stay that way for much longer. Might as well get to the car and head home at this point, I thought, adding a sigh as I started to do just that.

My eyes wandered aimlessly, sort of like the direction of my life as I moved through the mall to the parking lot on the opposite end of it. There was all the usual junk; free standing food stands, pay-per-use massage chairs, carts and kiosks selling random stuff. Nothing ever exciting in those, don't know why I'm even looking at these things. I mean, come on. This one coming up on my right with all the jewelry. Bunch of gaudy looking junk for the mos...hello?

"Excuse me?" I reached into the hanging jewelry, pulling out the pendant that caught my eye. It was a silver circle with a beautiful looking wolf howling proudly at a full moon, connected to a chain that looked like pure silver. Never been big on jewelry, but I've always been something of a furry and I love wolves in particular. There was no price tag or anything on it, which bought my attention toward the bored looking girl in the chair. I held the pendant up to her. "How much for this?"

"Huh?" The black haired, blue-dyed pigtailed girl barely registered any emotion as she looked over the pendant. "I dunno. What's it say on the tag?"

Was she near my age? Great; another proud example of my generation. "Um, there is no tag; that's why I'm asking you."

"Ohhh...um..." Don't strain yourself, honey. This thinking thing must be hard for you. "Twenty bucks?"

I wasn't sure if that was a statement or a question, but I gave her the money quick before she decided the answer herself. I stuck the pendant in my coat pocket and resumed walking toward my car.

Even through my thick winter coat, I could feel the weight of the pendant pressing gently against me. Odd little thing I found; even odder was that it was still on my mind. It was just an impulse purchase after all, and I've blown more money than that on impulse stuff. Not like I'm ever gonna wear it or anything; it's just something to hang in my room. Sure, I like furry stuff, but I really don't make a big deal of it. Heck, compared to most of my online furry buddies, I'm a super conservative.

I pulled into the driveway of the house of my mothers house, my residence for my entire life, minus a year or so total I spent while I did 5 semesters away at college. I parked my car, let myself in and locked the door behind me. The house was dark except for a sole lamp in the living room, so it was a safe bet Mom was already in bed. Carlos the cat was asleep on the rocking chair, and was not thrilled as usual when I scooped him up. I put him in his room so he wouldn't be throwing himself at anybody's bedroom door looking for breakfast at 5 a.m., then walked up the stairs and into my room.

"Now, where to put this thing..." I muttered to myself as I withdrew the pendant from my coat. The pendant glistened slightly in the moonlight that flowed through the window, and the longer it stayed, the brighter it seemed to glow. Was this thing real silver? I'm no expert on jewelry or anything, but it almost seemed like this thing was absorbing the moonlight, and I'm pretty sure silver doesn't glow... The twirling pendant held my attention for what seemed like forever, the proud wolf on one side and rotating with the smooth, blank side on the other.

"Wait a minute..." Damn it; it wasn't a smooth back. Lifting the pendant up close, I noticed tiny scratches in the metal. Did somebody mark it up? Was it used? Well, guess I shouldn't expect something flawless for only twenty bucks. Anyway, back to my original problem. A quick glance around the room suggested there was no where good for me to hang the pendant, and it looked too beautiful to just jam into a drawer.

This is so geeky, I thought to myself as I gently slipped the pendant over my head. It settled against my chest with a firm thud, the cold silver chain sending a little chill up my spine as it rested on the back of my neck. I admired the pendant a little more before sliding into some flannel pajama pants, leaving my t-shirt on before sliding under my sheets. A quick yawn was all that separated me from dreamland.

The moon was full in the forest I found myself in, illuminating a path before me through the thick trees. I followed the path, trying to find anything through all the thick wood surrounding me, but all I could see was more trees. Any part of the wood that wasn't lit up was pure darkness. I reached a hand toward the darkness out of curiosity, only to yank it back when I felt the edges of my fingertips turn numb and cold.

"O.K.; point taken. Stay in the light..." With a shiver I continued to move along the moonlit path, slowly winding my way through the trees. This is one hell of a weird dream...

The forest seemed to go on forever, with only the placement of trees changing as I moved through. Hours seemed to pass, though the moon never seemed to move from its position high in the sky. Stupid dream; make something happen already!

"Over here..."

Hmm? The forest suddenly opened up into a wide clearing, which is where that soft, feminine voice seemed to be coming from. Silverly flowers formed a wide orchard, each one emitting a pleasant, almost perfume-like scent. I wandered slowly into the field, looking for the source of the voice I'd just heard.

"Gotcha!"

"Got wh...AH!" Something large and powerful pounced on me from seemingly nowhere, driving me to the ground. I tried to squirm out from underneath whatever it was atop me, but its grip was simply too strong. I was turned over like a limp doll, expecting to be eaten by some monster, feeling something cold and damp rubbing at my neck, licking... murring?

"Hey there." The beast standing atop me said, smiling. It was hard to get a good view of the beast, but seemed to be some kind of silver furred wolf woman. I say it had silver fur, because other than the blunt black claws on the end of each finger on the humanoid hand, silver fur seemed to cover the creature. I say it was a wolf, because the head of the creature was that of a wolf, completely with a mane of fur flowing from behind the back of its head down past the end of its long, human neck and the long silver tail that waved back and forth behind its head. I say it was a woman, because the only other thing I could see of the creature from my current position was the massive cleavage she has pressed against my chest, each breast looking to be about the same size as a bowling ball.

"U-Um, h-hi..." was about all I managed to get out. My mind was lost in a haze of fear, confusion, arousal and surprise.

She giggled and licked at my face, stirring up those conflicting feelings even more as she reviewed me with her sky blue eyes. "My name's Luna; what's yours?"

"D-Dan..." Well, might as well get it out of the way... "A-Are you gonna eat me?..."

"Eat you?!" She giggled more as she nuzzled my neck. "Silly; I would never eat someone who wears my pendant."

"Y-yours?" It was now sandwiched between her chest and mine, but I could still see the chain leading down to the pendant and feel its cold touch against my neck. "S-Sorry, I didn't know..."

"Oh, don't be sorry. It's important for a goddess to share with the people." She murred more, easing her grip on my shoulders and allowing me to move my hands freely. "In fact, I should be sharing my body with you, too; you'll be seeing a lot of it in the future..."

"Share your b-body?..." Was that a green light to feel her up? I mean, sure, she was a furry, massive beast, but then again, that is kinda my thing. With a gulp and a silent reminder to myself that this was all just a dream, I eased a hand up to her waist, feeling more soft, silky fur and a severe lack of any sort of clothing. She smiled and nodded encouragingly, giving me enough courage to put my other hand on the other side of her.

"So, do you approve?" Luna asked as I slowly worked my hands over her, feeling strong, firm muscle underneath the thick fur. She murred, her tail wagging harder as my hands groped her large, firm rear. "I'll take that as a yes..."

"So..." Well, as fun as this is, this feels kinda awkward without a little conversation. "You mentioned something about a goddess?"

"Yes; I am the goddess of werewolves. Most of my worshipers are werewolves themselves, though there are a few pure human and wolf believers as well." She worked her tongue over my neck as my hands moved up and down her back gently. "You're very good..."

"T-Thanks..." I blushed heavily; this is the most intense dream I can ever remember. "So, what exactly do you teach your followers?"

"Hmm... I dunno; what would you teach them?"

"Huh? Me? Why do you ask?"

The response I got from her was a flash of her large, pearl white teeth, shortly before she chomped down hard on my throat.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

"What the?!" My grip on the sheets was vice-like as I awoke with a start, almost panting as I tried to settle my nerves. Must've been the theater popcorn or something...

Or maybe it's this things fault, I thought as I reached for the pendant. Still shaking off sleep funk, I pawed around my curvy chest for a moment before grabbing the pendant, lifting it up into view. "You gave me one hell of a weird dream... and now you're making me hallucinate, because it looks like you're sinking into my hand... and disappearing...and my hand's covered in fur and claws..."

I leapt out of bed, moving with a grace I was unfamiliar with as I moved toward the mirror on the back of a dresser. The reflection that greeted me still wore the same clothes I had fallen asleep in, though was about a half foot taller than I remembered being. The massive orbs on my chest never felt so firm or stretched my shirt before like they were now, to the point where a firm, taut stomach hidden under thick silver fur was in plain view. My waist had never been so tight, or my hips so wide, or my tail...well, I'd never had a tail before now. My ass had never been so full or firm, and my feet never had four fur covered toes before. I had never felt a body so strong and sleek underneath a thick blanket of fur, while still being very much feminine in all the right places. Never seen the face of a wolf staring back at me in the mirror, with a thick mane of fur flowing down my neck.

"Oh my God; I look like Luna..." No, that wasn't it. This strength I'm feeling, it's more than just physical muscle. I could change things; bend them to my will. I could almost anything I wanted. I don't know how I could; I just knew I could. The world was made of clay, and like a master artist, I could mold and modify the world around me, with the power and insight only a goddess could have.

Wait; what the hell am I thinking? I'm a goddess? That's just wrong on a number of levels; must still be dreaming or something. Taking a clawed hand, I tried to give myself some cuts along my forearms and hands. If I could cause myself some pain, that should be a pretty good indicator if I'm awake or not. Well, maybe not; this fur feels so thick it's blocking my claws, and even when I felt like I was hitting the skin underneath, I felt no pain.

Cutting's not getting the job done; can't be sure if it's because of the fur or a dream, though. Answer; blunt force trauma for the win! I made a fist and lined it with the side of my head; no amount of fur is going to absorb a decent head shot. Just use a little force, enough to feel the impact and...

WHAM!

CRASH!

My love tap hit with the force of a wrecking ball, knocking me off my feet and into my nearby bookcase, which broke into pieces and sent my collection of mangas and novels spilling out onto the floor as I landed in a heap atop them. I certainly felt the force of the blow, but neither that or my crash into the bookshelf had hurt in the slightest bit.

"Shit!" I quickly got to my feet, looking at the mess that was expanding all over the floor. The shelf had broken into pieces and would have been impossible to repair. My mind started to race with a million thoughts; how I would explain this to Mom, where I was going to store all my books now, how I was going to pay for a new shelf, how much I really just wanted the shelf to be fixed, how quickly the shelf put itself back together...

"What?" As soon as I thought about the shelf being fixed, it was. The shelf was still busted, the thought came in my head, and then it was fixed. I didn't do anything else, except maybe blink. A couple of prods with my finger confirmed the shelf was indeed fully intact, though the contents of said shelf were still all over the floor. If only they would go back in place just as easily.

"...I gotta be dreaming. I just have to be." Again, as soon as I thought about something, this time my reading materials returning to the shelf, they were instantly there. Seems like the kind of stuff that would only happen in a dream. Still, everything feels so real. This body, the heat from the sun beating through the window on my fur, the carpet under my feet... I don't know how well I could describe what a dream feels like, but I don't think I could dream this vividly.

Food; need food. Maybe I just hungry and my empty stomach's causing me to see things. It was the only explanation my brain could think of as I left my room, heading downstairs toward the kitchen. Well, severe mental instability did cross my mind as another explanation, but I tried not to dwell on that one.

Well, if this is some sort of hallucination, at least it's a pretty hot one. My paws slid over my rear, murring softly to myself at the firmness and big, round shape, slowly working their way over my wide hips and narrow waist as I stepped off the landing. Sliding up my stomach, I cupped my massive breasts, smiling mischievously to myself as I saw how easily they filled my hands and then some. So full and firm, and I didn't feel a bit of sag in them at all. Certainly don't mind these...

Hey; don't give me that look. Who better to appreciate a fine female body than a guy, anyway?

My ears swiveled in the direction of Mom's bedroom across the hall as the door opened. I waved to her a little and smiled; no reason to alarm her yet about my broken brain. Still, she's giving me quite the weird look; what's that about?

"Oof! What the hell?" My attention got diverted when something suddenly bumped against my waist. It was the railing that runs across the landing... wait, how the hell did I run into that? It's a good ten feet across from where you step off to go down the stairs.

Well, that explains the weird look Mom's giving me, I thought as I gently pawed the air beneath me with my feet. Apparently my tits aren't the only thing that defied gravity, because instead of going down the stairs when I stepped off the landing, I walked on the air on level with the top step and was now floating in midair. That might cause some concern for her.

Wait; that should cause some concern for me! If everything I was seeing and feeling was just in my head, she shouldn't be reacting the way she is now... but that would mean that this was all real, which would mean that I'm a goddess, which would mean... well, I don't know what it means, really. I glanced back at Mom, her mouth moving but no words coming from it as she tried to wrap her brain around what she was seeing.

"You will return to your bed and sleep again. When you wake up in 5 minutes, you will not remember anything that you have seen today. You will believe you are just waking up for the first time this morning, and whenever you see me, you will see me as you always have."

My voice reverberated throughout the house with absolute authority as my mother's perceptions altered to accept my words. Her eyes glazed over for a moment, then she quietly turned and returned to her room, closing the door behind her. I could hear her settling back into her bed, quickly falling asleep as I commanded.

"O.K; let's take a moment and assess what's happening. I'm apparently now Luna, a wolf goddess. I'm female, furry, super strong, and can seemingly bend the fabric of reality to my will...yeah, that seems to be pretty much the size of things." Seems like my self assessment was a bit different from what it was not 12 hours ago. It was a little much to take in, and right now I really just wanna be able to go down the stairs...

And apparently that thought was the trigger to turn my personal gravity back on. I landed awkwardly on a step as I dropped, causing my feet to slip out from under me and send me sliding down the stairs on my butt before landing hard on the newly installed wood floor in the living room. I briefly noticed the lack of pain again as I sighed, rising to my feet. Guess there's still some parts of goddess-hood I gotta work out.

So, what's a newly born goddess going to do with herself?...

...No, seriously; what does a goddess do with herself?
