"What do you think of him? "

"He has a good background. A lot of military experience that really shows. Even when he is at his own house he acts like a real soldier. I think he will be a good soldier again."

"My only concern is his age, he may not want to do any more service."

"Yeah, but we can alter his physical endurance and appearance to make him 25 years old again. If we tell him that, he will be a lot more willing."

"See, but here is the thing, Rico, his age is not the only thing, his family and even mental images of war could throw him off."

"Only time will tell."

The two raccoons continued to converse as they walked down a hallway toward the room that Rob was in. The one named Rico was the same 'coon who was following Rob in the forest. He was on a mission, he needed a sniper to make his strike force one step closer to being completed.

When I finally came around, I was in a complete daze. My head was thumpin, my vision blurred, and I was in a small, white room with a table and three chairs. The light and sheer brightness of the room was making my head feel even worse. I tried to get a sense of where I was, but I didn't have a clue. What I did know was that I felt naked without any form of a weapon... I would have to find something in this room for when or if someone comes in. All well, things could worse. At least I had pants and a shirt on, so it wasn't too bad. But why was I here? Were these talking animals the result of some crazy science experiment? Were they being used as a kind of secret forest ranger or game warden used to catch poachers? I wasn't poaching, I didn't go over any fences or see any no trespassing signs. I guess only time will tell me why I am here.

Finally, reaching their destination, the two 'Coons turned a corner, nearly running head on into a vixen because they were walking so fast. They showed their I.D's to a guard, and he opened up the bullet proof titanium doors. Human guards stood in front of a few rooms, armed to the teeth. There were about twenty rooms in this division, used for interrogation and recruiting the very few species that were allowed in. Should an individual escape, the guards would be there to stop them.

They made their way to room #9, and opened the door. Sitting in a chair at the table was Rob, looking like he had to hold something in. Rico became a little suspicious. Suddenly, Rob kicked back the chair, picked it up, and threw it at the two furs, knocking them both over.

"Aww Hell Naw!"

Rob was shocked when a furry foot came up from four feet below and clocked him upside the head.

"K, first of all, we aren't gonna hurt you. Second, you are not in any trouble or danger... yet. And third, you make a move like that again, your ass will be on the floor a lot longer than it is right now. Got it?"

Rob nodded, now feeling a little safer despite the situation.

"Sit down."

He did so without protest.

"Now, my name is Rico, and this is Bazi. The things you are about to see may shock and amaze you, but you must accept it."

Rico pulled out a silver laptop from a bag and opened up the screen. He opened up a few programs, typed a few things, clicked on this and that. Rob had to snicker because the laptop was about the same size as its holder, but it had a smaller keyboard so the 'coon could type like any other human would. He turned the screen around, showing a picture of Rob and his family. John now had a puzzled look on his face.

"How the hell did..."

"We have access to any person's life so far, any photo or video, or any file ever created in the past 70 years and some before that. What we have is basically a super internet. Ok, so you are Rob McKinley, right?"

"Yes."

"You grew up near Fresno, joined the military at twenty, had eight years active duty, moved to the Fort Bidwell area, and opened an auto shop."

"I am amazed."

"Well, to put it in simple terms, we want you. You were the best sniper in desert storm, you have enough military experience for five men, and your physical fitness nearly off of the charts for a man your age. Bazi and I need your help; we are starting a task force to help hundreds of lives that are in need. We need a sniper with your skill and knowledge."

"I gave that up years ago! I will never go back! Seventeen years ago I would but I have a family and something worth living for now. Also, I am not young anymore."

"We can solve the problem of your family. You can get a free new house without any bills, have your kids go to a school that is better than any in the U.S, and the island that you would live on is better than any paradise imaginable. Now, the reason why we are doing this is because not only do we want you, but you know too much from being in the military."

"What?"

"While serving, you may have seen something that is top secret and the Government cannot let it be in question with a civilian that knows too much. You will see an increase in activity from the American Government around your house and yourself which will eventually lead to your death. We want you have a happier, better life. What do you think?"

"I think that this is all a dream and I completely disagree with everything you just said. Now I am going to wake up and be back at my house, got it?"

"Fine, if you don't want to believe, then leave. But if something bad should happen, which I can guarantee something will, then call the number on this card, and we will be out there ASAP. K?"

"Thank you, but the world doesn't work like this, so goodbye to both of you."

"Whatever man, just remember that card."

Rico and Bazi walked out of the room a little disappointed.

A little while later, Rico and Bazi started to make their long trek back through the hallways to go home.

"Damn, I was really hoping he would join."

"Don't worry Bazi, he will come back when he figures out the truth."

"Well, we will have to talk to Phil when he comes back."

"Where is he?"

"He is out on one of his random hikes again."
