#1 of The Adventures Of Ashchu

Ash is walking back home to Pallet Town, after just having completed his Battle Frontier challenge and saying goodbye to his friends. Pikachu is on his shoulder, looking out at the road ahead for the place where he and Ash had first met with each other. But the thirteen-year-old boy had no idea that what was going to happen to him today would be the beginning of his next adventure.

"Pikachu, we should be getting pretty close to Pallet Town now," Ash said, turning to face his oldest and strongest Pokémon. His buddy nodded, exclaiming in his own language at how close they must be to getting back where they had first met. Just then, a strong gust of wind blew Ash's hat off of his head and into the forest surrounding them. "Whoa, hey come back here!" he exclaimed, running to try to catch his hat that had blown off of his head.

The two of them kept running after Ash's hat, since it seemed like the wind wasn't going to let him catch it anytime soon. Then, the wind suddenly stopped and Ash's hat dropped to the ground. He leaned down to pick up his hat and dusted it off, placing it back on his head when he was done. When he looked back up, he noticed a cave that was in front of where his hat had landed.

"A cave? What do you think, Pikachu? Should we go explore it?" he asked his buddy for guidance. He knew he should probably get home as soon as possible, but his curiosity got the better of him and he wanted to explore the cave before he tried to find his way back to the path that would lead home. He saw Pikachu give him a nod before he started walking in, his buddy still on his shoulder.

The inside of the cave was dark, illuminated only by the sunlight that was coming from outside. As they kept walking in, the cave got more and more dark until Ash couldn't even see in front of him anymore. He pulled off his backpack and started rummaging through it, looking for something to light up the cave. He pulled out a flashlight he found and turned it on, making the dimly lit cave brighter and easier to see as he pointed it in front of him.

He continued walking, wondering what was inside of the cave. He knew he wanted to get home as soon as he could, but his adventurous side wanted to know what was inside of the cave. He was about to go back when he saw that he could go no further. There in front of him, was a mysterious-looking stone.

"A stone? What's it doing here?" he asked, shining the flashlight on the stone and looking it over. The stone was about ten times bigger than any of the stones Ash had encountered in his past adventures. It was colored silver and shone bright when the flashlight was on it. His Pikachu jumped off his shoulder as he continued looking at it.

He was curious why it was here and what purpose it had. As he moved the flashlight over it, it went off the stone onto the wall and moved over some writing next to the stone. "What's this?" he asked, even more curious about the writing on the wall than about the stone at the moment.

He flashed the light over it and looked at what it said. It read, 'State your wish and the stone shall grant it.' He was rather suspicious of it now, because he didn't think that wishes could be granted. He was about to leave the cave when he thought of something he wanted for a long time now. He decided to try it out and stated his wish as he closed his eyes.

"I wish that I could understand my Pikachu better," he stated, hoping that the wish would come true. He opened his eyes and when he did, he looked down at his Pikachu on the ground. "Well, did it work?" he asked, hoping to hear something from his Pikachu. When he responded, he just talked in Pokémon language. Sighing, he turned away from the stone, preparing to walk out. "Well, that was a waste of time. Pikachu, let's..." he said, before he trailed off at a sudden pain in his body.

He screamed out loud as his body started to tingle all over with pain. He didn't know what was happening to him, but his mind couldn't think about it, as all it was focused on was the pain coursing through his body. He started to feel hair grow all over his body, as he could see while he looked on in amazement. It wasn't hair, but fur and it was colored yellow: the same shade of yellow that a Pikachu's fur looks like.

It continued to grow longer and longer until it finally stopped at a considerable length that it covered the entire skin of his body. Ash was relieved when the pain had finally stopped all over his body, but the pain was quickly redirected toward his head. He could feel his cheeks quickly course with pain as they started forming bright red spots on both sides. They started showing over the yellow fur on his face as they started to get bigger and form into a circle.

Soon, his cheeks had finished developing the electric sacs and the pain was quickly redirected toward his ears. He could feel them start to move up his head until they stopped near the very top. Then, they stretched out and started changing into a long triangular shape, with the yellow fur still covering them from before. Then, when they finished stretching out, black fur started to grow over the yellow fur that was at the tips of both ears.

Pikachu just looked at Ash worriedly cause he didn't know what was happening to his trainer. He wished there was something he could do to help him, but he couldn't think of anything. He only hoped that whatever was going on would stop soon.

When his ears finished growing the black fur, the pain had redirected toward the base of his spine. He could feel it start to get longer as something started to grow in his pants. He started growing a tail from his lower back, in the shape of a lightning-bolt like all Pikachu have. It was somewhat squished into his pants, but that wouldn't last for long. Then, when it was finished growing, it started growing fur on it as well: brown on the base and yellow on the rest of it.

When that was finished, the pain redirected toward his face. He could feel and see his nose start to get smaller as it turned into a small black circular nose, like that of a Pikachu's.

After his nose was finished changing, his hair started changing color. It changed from his usual raven black color to yellow, to match the rest of his body. Out of the whole process so far, this was the least painful so far.

Right after his hair finished changing color, he felt something happening inside of his mouth. His teeth started changing shape from their normal human shape into sharp and pointy ones, like fangs.

Once that part was over with, he started to feel pain throughout his body once again. He could feel the bones in his body start to readjust themselves as his body started to shrink. He looked at his body in amazement, wondering what was happening to him now as he could see the cave start to get bigger from his eyes. As he continued to shrink, his clothes started getting loose from his body and started falling down to the ground of the cave.

Then, he noticed his arms and his legs started changing shape as they changed from long to short and stubby paws. He also noticed his fingers start to change shape from his normal human form into short, stubby fingers like those of a Pikachu. He figured that the same thing was probably happening to his toes; but he couldn't focus on this, as he was still shrinking while this was happening.

Soon, his body stopped shrinking and he was on the ground, confused at what had happened. When he thought the transformation was done, something else happened. He could feel his crotch -- which he failed to notice change, as his mind was focused on the other parts of him changing -- start to retreat back into his body, into a sheath that all male Pokémon have. After his genitalia finished going inside of his newly developed sheath, he started walking away from his clothes that surrounded him and managed to get out. Once he did, he looked at himself from the light that his flashlight was still giving off.

"What? What happened to me?" he asked, trying to figure out what happened to his body. He was a Pikachu now, from head to toe. He didn't know how this happened, but he hoped that whatever caused him to become a Pikachu could be reversed. However, his thoughts were interrupted when he heard a voice from behind him.

"I don't know, Ash," the voice said. Ash turned around and he saw his Pikachu walking up to him, eyeing him curiously. Ash couldn't believe what he had just heard. Did his Pikachu just speak to him?

"Pikachu, was that you?" Ash asked. He thought he was crazy, since he never understood his Pikachu -- not even the last time he turned into a Pikachu -- before now. But the transformation had given Ash the ability to understand the Pokémon language perfectly and to speak it himself, but he also lost the ability to speak in human tongue.

"Yes, Ash. It was me. I must say, I'm pretty surprised at this," Pikachu replied. He was happy that he could finally talk to his own trainer, but he had wanted to know how this had happened as well.

"I'm even more surprised. I don't know how this happened." He tried thinking of what happened before he suddenly transformed into a Pikachu. He remembered that he had wished he could understand his Pikachu better. "Maybe that stone is responsible. It really did grant my wish, to an extent."

"Well, I must say, I rather like that I can understand you now." He had wanted to get to know his trainer better for a long time now. And now, he finally had that opportunity.

"So do I, Pikachu. But I don't want to stay a Pikachu forever. No offense to you." He saw his Pikachu nod at him, telling him that he understood. He turned toward the stone again, thinking that he could maybe reverse the wish if he stated another one. "I wish that I was a human again," he said, closing his eyes once again.

He waited for the stone to grant him his wish, but nothing was happening. Confused, he opened his eyes, picked up the flashlight on the ground, and looked at the writing on the wall again. He noticed some more writing below what he originally had read. It said, 'Only one wish will be granted to a person.' Now, Ash was really worried because he didn't think there was any way to reverse the effects of what had happened to him.

"Does this mean I'm stuck like this forever?!" Ash exclaimed. He started panicking because he didn't want to be stuck as a Pikachu forever. He wanted to continue his goal to become a Pokémon Master. His Pikachu walked in front of him and looked at him with a reassuring smile.

"Calm down, Ash. We'll find a way to get you back to normal." Then, he started thinking and an idea came to his head. "What about Professor Oak? He might be able to help us out," he asked, looking at his trainer. He saw Ash look at him and start to smile as well.

"Yeah, he probably can! Well, let's head back to Pallet Town then!" Ash exclaimed. He was about to start walking out of the cave, when he realized something. "My Pokémon and my Pokédex, we can't just leave them here," he frowned.

Pikachu just stood there thinking for a second about what Ash had said. He wasn't sure what exactly to do with them, but he knew his trainer was right. They couldn't just leave them there; someone might come by and steal them. "You're right Ash, but I don't know what to do with them."

"Well, what if we put them in my backpack and carry it with us to Pallet Town?" Ash suggested. He saw his Pikachu smile as he looked at him.

"Yeah, that could work. Okay, let's grab them and put them in there then," he replied. Pikachu started pulling the Pokéballs off of Ash's belt and placed them inside of Ash's backpack.

While he was doing that, Ash used his paws to try to push his Pokédex out of his pants pocket. It was a bit of trouble but he slowly managed to push it out until part of it was out enough for him to grab. He grabbed the Pokédex with his new Pikachu paws and used them to pull it out rather easily, compared to trying to push it out. He saw that his Pikachu had placed all the balls in his backpack -- evident by the empty Poké Ball belt -- and placed the Pokédex in the backpack as well. Once it was in, Ash used his new Pikachu paws to zip up the backpack and lifted it over his head. Pikachu walked up behind Ash and helped him hold the backpack up.

"Thanks, Pikachu. Well, let's get out of here and start heading back toward Pallet Town," Ash said. He and Pikachu started walking back out of the cave, but it was easier than the walk inside the cave. His new Pikachu eyes helped him to see better in the dark than his human eyes did. Soon, they exited the cave and started walking back toward the path that would lead to Pallet Town.
