Meanwhile, Earring and his crew attack a trade ship that happens to have otters guarding it.

This and more inside, read on. (Fixed!)

Chapter Two

"Oh, my achin' pads, how much further do we have to go, Gabe?" Derry began whining.

Gabe cocked an eyebrow. "How much further? We've only been walking half a day since we left the abbey. Besides, what the hell are you complaining about? You're a squirrel; I thought you people lived for exercise."

Derry scoffed indignantly, "It's so easy to stereotype when you're the mouse with the bloody big damn sword."

Gabe sighed. "Okay then, we'll stop for some rest in that little clearing over there."

The two travelers sat in a small meadow.

Gabe sniffed at the open air and let out a big sigh. "It is nice; being out and away from the bustle and bother of enclosed walls."

Derry agreed. "Yeah, and away from lectures and rules. Can you believe Flora actually made me help with kitchen duties just because I let some adult words slip past during last week's feast?"

Gabe smirked. "Well, yes, I was there. It was because there happened to be some dibbuns present at our table who heard you and though it was something funny to say. What possessed you to do such a thing anyway?"

"It was that damned idiot, Fynn. He kept getting between me and the hotroot soup. Then, when I finally get some he spills it. I had to say something!"

Gabe was snickering. His sharp hearing picked up a foreign noise. Derry watched as he became silent, his right paw on the hilt of the Martin Sword.

Derry, "What is it Gabe?"

Gabe said in a whisper, "I'd been hearing something like pawsteps for sometime. Just now I heard twigs breaking. It doesn't sound like a big beast, though. Could you run up this tree quickly?"

Derry looked up where Gabe pointed. He then looked back with a raised eyebrow.

"Why? Because I'm a squirrel?"

Gabe "Yeah?"

Derry "Okay, just checking."

He climbed up the tree with rapid speed. He came to a stop on a medium-sized branch.

Gabe called up to him. "Do you see anyone?"

His answer came back. "No, I don't. It'd be a lot easier if I knew who or what we were looking for."

He dropped down next to Gabriel. "So, what do we do now?"

Gabe removed the pack he had been carrying and from it he took a knife which he handed over to Derry. "We have to split up."

Derry tiptoed through the foliage. As much as he hated to admit it, Gabriel was much better at tracking than he was. "I can't see a damn thing." He shook his head. "And now I'm talking to myself."

A rustling in nearby bushes snapped him out of his little world. He crept up and something jumped at him causing him to scream and fall backwards. He opened his eyes. It was a little gecko. It scampered off into the underbrush. He sighed with relief. He chanced a look above and found himself staring into a pair of dark brown eyes. He allowed one word to slip past his lips. "Liz?"

She kissed him on the mouth. He shuddered as one webbed paw journeyed across his body. Her tongue was soon wrestling with his as he soon forgot why he was there. That was when Gabriel happened upon them cavorting together on the forest trail. He cleared his throat; his arms crossed. They didn't hear him. He cleared his throat again. They still didn't hear him. Liz opened up her shirt and Derry started sucking on her...

"Excuse me!"

They both shrieked when he yelled. Liz hastily covered herself. Derry sat up blushing.

Gabe spoke in a tone hardly heard by his friends. "Liz, what the hell are you doing here?"

She clutched her elbows and pouted. "I snuck out." She said it as if she had been asked about a missing pastry. "And before you say anything, I'd like to say that there is no way you'll get me to go back without Derry."

Gabe sighed, "Alright, you can stay. But, you're going to have to pull your own weight."

Liz nodded quickly her arm intertwined with Derry. "I'll do as you command me."

Gabe muttered to himself, "Damn! That was too easy." He thought of something. "And another thing, you two control yourselves! There's a long way to go before we reach the shores of Salamandastron, there'll be rivers to cross, ridges to climb, and plenty of highwaymen out there just waiting for helpless innocent travelers like us. Trust me; you'll need the energy."

He turned and walked. The lovers traded glances and then followed him.

...

Aboard Stella, inside the ship's cabin, three figures were being intimate. The ferret, Flower, was sandwiched in between her two male lovers, Dan and Will. She licked her vulpine lover's erect member on the tip, collected his pre with each swipe of her tongue. She moaned then leaned her head back and kissed her amorous captain. The hyena delighted at tasting Dan's seed as he kissed Flower. Earring continued to pump his thick malehood into the loving ferret even as she returned her mouth to his fox lover's shaft. Flower's juices poured from her as she hit her climax. The feel of liquid surrounding his shaft coupled with the intoxicating smell drove her boys crazy. Earring gripped her breasts and he thrust in hard. Dan erupted as well upon hearing the hyena's telltale howl. Flower rolled onto her back upon receiving her fill from each lover.

Slam!

"Captain! Captain! Ye 'ave ta come owt 'ere quik- Oh shit!"

Earring was at his throat in a flash. "Now, matey. You should know better than to interrupt your captain while he's having relations." A smirk cut across his face. "Unless, you'd like me to fuck you. I'm more than happy to introduce a fellow beast to the joys of open love."

The stoat shook his head nervously. "No t'ank ye, Earring, but, ye do 'ave ta see wot is out 'ere."

Earring's grin widened displaying his sharp teeth. They were the only thing on him aside from his eyes that weren't brown. He watched the ship as it passed theirs in the distance. His earrings glinted brightly as he turned to his faithful strongbeast, Marko.

"Traders you think, Marko?"

The weasel replied with a similar grin, "Looks to be it, Captain. You want I should rally the crew for a brief pit stop, sir?"

Earring shrugged with an effeminate flash in his eyes. "I guess so. I mean, the crew's got to be kept in good fighting spirits, yes?"

Meanwhile, on the other ship, a squirrel descended quickly from the ship's mast in a fret. He found a fellow ship's mate.

"Sir! You must find the captain or one of the otters. I think I have spotted corsairs."

The ship's captain, an old shrew, came down with his first and second mates both to his left side. An ugly scowl formed on his aged, scarred brow when he spotted the black ship bearing down upon them in rapid speed.

They were close enough now to ram the trader's ship. Earring wasn't about to let such a nice looking ship go to waste, though. He turned to Marko who stood at ready by the anchor.

"Marko! Do it now! Drop anchor!"

Marko picked up the hulking metal object and threw it overboard nimbly stepping over the chain that followed it into the deep. Stella came to a stop, mere inches away from the traders.

Earring said eagerly to his first mate who stood by him awaiting orders, "Well, Dan, come on! Last one over takes it up the ass from Flower!"

He climbed up on Marko's back who broke into a running jump landing squarely on the deck of the other ship. Those present on deck were thrown off of their feet by the tremor. Earring did a remarkably awesome somersault off the strongbeast's back and landed on all fours his dagger firmly placed in his teeth. He looked up to the numbers gathered around him before standing up. He took his dagger in hand and bowed to the other ship's captain.

"Good day to you, kind old shrew. I am Willard "Earring" Robard and my crew and I shall be relieving you of your trade for today."

The shrew captain withdrew his scabbard. "Rah! Dammed poirate, gerroffa moi ship!"

Earring parried the swing with his dagger. He then kicked the blade out of the shrew's grasp catching the hilt in midair. He pointed it back at the shrew.

"As I was saying, we will be relieving you of your trade whatever it may be."

His ear caught the sound of something flying towards him.

Clack!

A large rock struck his wrist forcing him to drop the scabbard.

"Shit!"

He turned to see a burly otter standing at the stern of the ship. In his left paw was a sling. And in the other paw he held another rock of similar size. More otters joined the big sailor's side. Instead of showing anger, Earring grinned.

"Well now, what do we have here? Otters? And I thought this little ship wouldn't give us much of a workout. Now, I'm impressed." He licked blood from his fresh wound. "Dan, Flower, Marko, Scrunge, Dewclaw, on the double, now!"

Dan jumped across from Stella. He held out a long broadsword as he came to a stop between the otters and his captain. Flower joined his side, a flintlock pistol drawn on the Skipper. Marko wielded his strange circular blade like one would a shield. Scrunge had his sword out, his ear stitched poorly to the stump on his head. Dewclaw held a meathook in his left paw.

The skipper of the ship laughed. "I know you." He said to the hyena. "I've heard of you. The spotty captain." He spat on the deck as he stepped forward. "I thought you would be bigger."

The hyena watched the otter with an unblinking stare. The skipper drew out his sword and swung. Scrunge caught the blade effortlessly with his own.

The skipper chuckled. "Your dogs are well trained. But, they need to learn some new tricks."

He looked back and nodded. An otter with a crossbow released the trigger on his weapon. The steel bolt flew and caught square in the rat's rib cage. Scrunge let out a strangled croak before he fell.

Earring laughed. "Well, I was planning on getting rid of that one anyway."

He laughed before flicking his earrings on his right ear. Archers on his ship fired away, taking out the skipper's otters, including the one with the crossbow.

The skipper growled, "Dirty trick! But who could expect any less from a blasted pirate?"

Earring threw down his dagger. "I'm happy to let you go, if you are as willing to throw down your weapon as I am."

The Skipper scoffed. "You think I would throw down my only weapon when you've just slaughtered my men?"

Earring shrugged. "Your men would be the only casualties if you surrender now, I can promise that."

Skipper growled, but he kneeled in defeat. "Son of a diseased whore..." He muttered.

The hyena captain was on the Skipper in a second, his dagger to the otter's throat. "Now you should not have gone there, my friend. You can say anything you want about me, but you never insult my mother."

Dan calmed the furious hyena with a loving kiss to the cheek. "Let him go, Will. He don't know you, not like I do."

Will relaxed upon hearing his lover's voice, hearing his real name spoken. He kicked the otter down onto his belly and held him there.

"I'll let you live, but you're staying there until we leave." He gave the signal to Dan.

The fox took charge. He pointed his sword at the now fearful shrew captain. "You fetch the ship's gold and bring it up here. We'll take our share, the crew's share then we'll go."

The shrew nodded his head nervously as he ran off, tripping over his own feet.

...

Gabriel, Derry and Liz had found an appropriate camping ground to rest for the night. After a short dinner, Gabe bid his friends good night then went to sleep, his sword close at paw.

Derry and Liz, despite their friend's earlier warning, did not go to sleep. The squirrel moaned as the otteress he adored so rode his malehood. Liz rotated her hips in a smooth rhythm while she peppered his face with many small kisses.

The warrior mouse soon found himself unable to sleep due to the sounds and smells the inexperienced travelers were creating. He rolled his eyes as he could see Liz's thin naked backside as she made love to his best friend.

The actions of the young lovers began to draw other less favorable eyes.

A pair of ferret brothers were passing by when one caught the scent of a female being mated with. The two horny brothers followed the scent to the camping site where they watched the otter riding the squirrel.

Derry gasped, his nails dug into his love's hips as he flooded her womb.

One amorous ferret crept onto the site, not noticing the mouse he'd just stepped over.

Gabe tripped the ferret and quickly pinned him.

The ferret's younger brother was on the mouse in a flash. He restrained the young warrior.

The tripped brother brushed himself off then spit on the mouse. He approached the otter.

Liz grabbed Derry's knife. As soon as she felt the ferret's paws on her, she turned and sank the blade into his right paw.

"Yeow!" The elder ferret fell on his backside clutching his bloody right hand.

The other brother faltered upon seeing his big brother hurt.

Gabe used this opportunity to bite the ferret's finger. The paw came off with an accompanying shriek. Gabe grabbed his sword then turned it on the enemy ferret. The teenaged male grimaced at the feel of a steel blade piercing his belly.

"Donnie!" The elder brother despaired at seeing his youngest family member mortally wounded by the mouse warrior.

Gabriel dropped his blade when he realized what he'd done. "Oh Dark Forest preserve me."

The teenaged ferret held the mouse as his wound bled out. The young mustelid then fell dead on the ground, leaving a bloodstain on the warrior's tunic.

The dead youth's brother huddled over his corpse. "You killed him." The eldest croaked, holding his own wound.

The mouse quivered. "F-f-forgive me. I was only defending myself. I did not mean to..."

The eldest stared daggers at the young mouse. "You will help me bury him."

Gabe felt a tear on his cheek. "I will help you. I don't hope to earn your forgiveness, but I can do this."

He held his brother in his arms. "Come along then."

Gabe asked with little hesitation. "Where will you take him?"

The ferret answered with less hesitation. "I'm taking him home. It's not far from here. And I'll want you to explain yourself to my mother, my father and his fiancée what you did." The ferret turned to start walking. "My name is Faro, by the way." He walked away.

Gabe glared at the two young lovers. "You two!" He scolded, "I told you! Control yourselves! And you, Derry! I thought I could expect better from you! Hurry up and get dressed." He followed quickly after Faro.

Derry's heart sank at his friend's tone. Gabe had never spoken to him of all creatures in such a way before.

...

Earring sat in his cabin alone following his encounter with the otter. His temperament simmered from what the "sea weasel" had said of his mother.

Dan joined his side, bearing fruit. "An apple for your thoughts, Will?"

Earring took the apple with a forced smile. "It was just the first time in a while since I'd really thought about my mother. I really wanted to take Flower's weapon and just plant the shot right in his face. I wanted him to feel pain for what he said." He sighed.

The fox hugged his captain. "Well now, wasn't it you that said the seas had no place for sentimental wanks?"

"Yeah, but I'm the captain; I'm allowed to break some of my own rules."

Dan laughed at the hyena's words. "Funny." He took the captain's pillow then threw it at him. "Now get some sleep, Earring. I'll tell you when we find anything new."

Scrunge's cousin watched the fox as he left the captain's cabin. The nameless rat carved the hyena's name on a barrel. He snarled as he envisioned his knife in the hyena's heart.
