The Princeton household has new pets! And guess what...YA GOTTA READ TO FIND OUT!!!

((Also, the beginning is not aimed toward a certain zebra stallion I already know. He's too much of a sweetie to beat up like that.))

Hyde flopped out on his cushion chair on the pool deck, basking under the umbrella's shade in his full, naked glory as he rested from the week's agenda. He wasn't too fond of the other porno shoots he had done lately, having been forced to share female cheetah twins with a stallion zebra for three shoots in a row until he told Grenda to never set him up with anything involving the zebra again. The zebra's pompous attitude is what pissed him off, and even more so when the zebra invited him to a party one day and Hyde gave it a shot until the zebra nearly humiliated him in front of the whole party by calling him a mere scavenger.

He had given the zebra a thorough raping in the ass and traumatized the stallion but good, and enough to get his respect back. He even ended up with the rest of the week shooting with the cheetah twins, and without the Zebra! Still, the memories were there, but it wasn't anything rage-fucking the zebra again when he dared showed face in the studio on the last day couldn't fix. Now he relaxed on his weekend, listening to the radio as he let the cool of the shade and warmth of the sun relax him.

Chleo swam in the pool wearing only her bikini bottoms, as suggested by both Hyde and Jerry. She cutely did something that looked like the doggy paddle, letting her tail curl out of the water as she swam in a cute little rhythm. Her tongue was hanging out slightly from her lip as she didn't pay attention to what she was doing, just enjoying the day off, and the sun that didn't seem too over baring. "Hyde, are you going to lounge in the pool the whole time? Or is my ass floating alone today." She asked as she set herself to float on her belly, clinging to the side of the pool as she looked at his feet.

"Just let me enjoy the sun a little more, Chleo. I'll be right in," he replied as he waved at her. Jerry steped on a black banana hammock, shirt cuffs and a collar and bowtie with the phone in hand. "Master Hyde, it is your agent Grenda." Hyde rolled his eyes as he tookt he phone with a heavy sigh. He thanked Jerry his thanks as he put the phone to his ear. "Yo, waddup, G?"

"Hyde, I need you to take of something for me," said Grenda's urgent tone.

"Ugh, seriously? IN my weekend? It's only 11:30."

"I don't care if it's 3 am and you're getting a 3-woman fellatio, dammit. Right now I need you!"

"Jeez, can't you just come over if you need i-"

"NO, YOU IDIOT! Get your head out of the gutter! Besides, they might piss and shit the limo!"

Hyde cocked his head away from the phone curiously and looked at Jerry, who was able to hear everything and simply shrugged his arms as he held up his empty hands. Hyde looked at the phone like it was about to eat his face before asking, "Uhh...who's they?"

After much persuasion from Grenda, Hyde gathered everyone and got dressed before setting out to Grenda's office. Hyde entered only find Grenda with three pet taxis on her desk and he quickly became nervous and curious and afraid all at once.

"...Grenda, what's going on?"

"Look, I just need you to look after them until I figure out what to do, okay?"

"But what the fuck is going on?!"

"Look, one of my clients just died and he left his three pets to me and I can't keep them!"

Hyde was annoyed now. "So why call me about this? I ain't no pet sitter and I don't run an kennel club!"

"But these aren't even dogs or cats, dammit!" retorted Grenda.

"Then what are they!! At least tell me that before you VOLUNTEER me to petsit!!"

Grenda turned each of the cages around to show each held a different species of fox. Hyde stood frozen in shock, unsure on how to react. The left held a sickly, old red fox, the right one held a dark, unamused silver fox, and the middle one held a trio of Fennec Foxes huddled together towards the back.

Chleo looked in awe as she saw the five very scared creatures. Feeling a bit sorry for them as she moved to them slowly, pressing her chin to the desk as she examined each one. She felt her tail move quickly back and forth as she saw the fennec foxes move forward, checking out what was going on as she pressed her nose to the cage. One of the tiniest ones pressed their nose to hers in a tiny wet kiss. After a moment of silence she moved to the silver fox, noticing it's expression. She moved her fingertips to the lock and it immediately backed up, baring its fangs to the hand at the door. Giving it a few moments she turned to the sickly red fo; her heart just melted as the old timer pressed his face against her fingers through the wire of the crate. A tear escaped her eye as she watched him, knowing his loss as she tried to hold all of her emotions back.

"Baby... do you think we could take care of them... They need a place... and you don't turn down an animal in need." She pointed out to him as she sat up, pinning her ears back as she tried to reason with Hyde in his shock.

Hyde regained himself as he watched Chleo, though, and looked at the silver fox still back up in its cage. He then looked to the other four, who seemed more friendly (or less hostile in the red fox's case) as he tried to make a decision. "Well...Chleo..." The Grenda broke in, warning them, "The silver fox is a no go. He's clearly too feral to be with anyone as we called a sanctuary for him." Her expression took a more pleading turn as she looked at Hyde for what she said next. "But the other 4 are to be in your care until we can find a more suitable owner."

Hyde looked at the eager fennecs and depressed red as he put a hand to his hip and the other rubbed his neck. Jerry was watching them all as with his usual, stoic persona until Hyde turned to him. "Jerry, I don't wanna give you the extra workload like this, man..." But Jerry held up a hand and replied, "Not a worry, Master Hyde. Clearly the red fox is in greater need of companionship and the fennec foxes are too adorable to resist, if I may be so frank." His eyes then turned to the silver fox with a more resentful stare. "That one, however, I'm thankful isn't coming home with us." Hyde smirked at his butler as he crossed his arms.

"You afraid of it or something?" he teased.

"Quite the contrary, Master Hyde. I just can't stand an animal so scared shitless - pardon my French - that it would try to put a façade of hatred. I wouldn't have any respect for such a weak animal."

"...Jerry..."

"Yes, Master Hyde?"

"I love you man..."

"No homo, sir."

Once they've gotten home, Jerry made a small fenced in enclosure for the fennecs and made a small bed for the red as Hyde and Chleo checked up on them. The fennecs were let out of the cage into the bath tub as Hyde went topless to bathe them. The sickly fox was willing but was clearly cautious while looking around as if still searching for its previous owner. "...You miss 'em that bad, huh?" he whispered to the red fox as he pet it gently. Its ears seemed to stay back no matter what even as it still looked around curiously.

Hyde gently cradled the sad vulpine into his arms after changing into some swim trunks and slipping into the tub with it, noticing its true age from all the grey in its fur and even what felt like a slow, weak heartbeat. "I know how hard it must be, pal..." The fennecs seemed to huddle together on the opposite end as they looked on like curious children. "Chleo, can you wash the fennecs, please?" he asked gently as he started to poor the water on the sickly vixen in his arms. The fox closed its eyes, somehow enjoying it as it slowly drifted into a nap. Rubbing the fox down with the shampoo and carefully washing its face, Hyde could almost feel the fox folding herself tighter to his arm.

Chleo moved close to the large tub, wearing a tank over her top half as she began to work with the three adorable foxes. "I don't think they are very old, they almost seem like kits," she admitted as she began to take a cup and pour water on one slowly. It relaxed as the water glided over his fur and back into the shallow pool below them. She smiled as she repeated the process before lathering soap and then rinsing them off. After the first was finished it was on to the next one, who was notably fussier. She squeaked and cried as the water was washed over her. After finishing her and the last of the trio, they looked up and shook off any excess water. The three, still confused but finally becoming more playful as they got used to the idea of them being in the water. "So cute," she whispered to herself as she watched them. Her head laying on her arms as she looked down from the side of the tub.

Meanwhile, Hyde finished his red fox's gentle bath before rinsing it off. The old girl finally looked up and gave Hyde a light poke of her nose and a tiny lick in thanks. Hyde smiled down at her before noticing her eye were blank white with blindness. "No wonder you're so scared..." he whispered to her as he rubbed her ear. "You can't even see what's going on..." He dried her off well enough to pick her up again, carrying her in his arms. "...I'm not sure I can let this one go, babe..." he admitted softly to Chleo. "...She can't see anything in front of her, the poor girl."

She looked at him and then the poor old fox. "Well that's about the way I feel about these three goofballs. They are really just starting out it seems. I don't think they had ever had a bath before." She admitted play with the tinier of the three, gently tugging his tail before letting her gently gnaw on her fingers.

"Maybe, it's a good thing we took them in. But I don't think this girl can go anywhere else... I feel bad for her," he admitted. He set her down on the sofa; Jerry had brought out a large, old quilt and folded it for her to lay on. She took to it casually after sniffing it, curling up into a tight ball of grey and reddish fluff as Hyde decided to put in a movie recommended by Grenda: Disney's Fox and the Hound. Jerry brought out a baby's play pen for the fennec trio and lined the bottom with folded bath towels and rags. They all sat down to pizza and beer, although Jerry had himself some merlot instead.

The fennec trio instead played with each other in the play pen while Hyde pet the old red vixen curled up on the folded quilt. She seemed more at ease, now, but was actually facing the TV as if she was watching the whole thing while her ears, for once, were fully raised and turned to the sound. Hyde was even kind enough to spoil her with pepperoni slices, bacon crumbs and sausage bits whenever they fell off his slices. She took them gingerly after taking in the scent and giving tentative licks. "You like this movie, huh girl?" he muttered to her, her focus unfazed and seemingly as her ear were the only thing to turn to him.

The next day, the old red fox looked healthier and livelier, having slept on the same quilt after in the corner of the bedroom the previous night. The fennec trio was outside in the pen Jerry built, already tussling and romping around with each other. Hyde was awoken by the tender kisses from the red after she figured her way around the room and onto the bed. Hyde chuckled as he petted her in greeting, groaning lightly as he awoke. "Chleo, I think we have a visitor," he joked.

But Chleo was already out of bed and missing. She had slipped out to check on the fennec kits, wearing a large tank and her underwear as she watched the babies jumping, pawing, and running around their enclosure. The whiney girl moved to the fence line and finally began to lick and play at Chleo's finger tips. She giggled as she watched and then finally decided to move into the enclosure with them. She sat on a piece of concrete where they had the bowls of food laid on to keep them from getting too dirty, and watched as the three moved up to her playing with her toes, tail and one even laying on her lap. She stroked its back as she watched the other two fight with her toes, growling and yipping away at the strangely large feet (at least to them).

Hyde, carrying the old vixen on his shoulder, had joined her outside, wearing only shorts as he chuckled at the sight. "Looks like they finally found their mortal enemy," he joked as he let down the old girl just as Jerry appeared wearing Star Wars lounge pants and a Jedi cloak-styled robe and Wookie slippers. He was carrying a tray with portioned out food for the foxes on one hand and the other carried a glass of milk. Jerry served up the food, adding milk to the 3 bowls for the fennec kits. "I've done some researching and made their breakfast according to their respective diets," he explained. I awoke at dawn to prepare it all, since I was in need of rodents and wild birds.""

Chleo smiled as the kits continued to play with her toes. As he placed the bowls down though, all three tried to stick their faces into the same bowl. Growling and fighting over bites. Chleo then gently moved two of the three into their respective place and fought with them a moment before they finally began to dig into their respective bowls. "Thank you Jerry. You are a life saver." She admitted as she patted the runt's ears down softly to test his temperament. No growls as she did so. Pleased by the temperament she backed off and let them enjoy their meals. "You think we should keep the four of them? The poor things are just so sweet, and the eldest one is just too precious... And she just got adjusted...."

"And overnight, too," Hyder replied. "I wanna pat myself on the back for since I've admittedly grown attached to her, but I can't get say we're safe for sure since it's only the second day." He pet the old girl, smiling at her quiet and even cuddle demeanor as she nuzzled his hand gently away and went back to eating. "Alright, old girl, I'll let you eat," he chuckled at her as he watched the other little trio and noticed the runty female had already cleaned her blow and was looking up at them with splayed-out ears. "What, are you expecting more, sweetie?" Hyde asked her teasingly. She started wagging her tail in response. Hyde chuckled as he bent down and picked her up, looking her over as he cradled her in his hand to his chest. "You're just too precious and tiny," he told her as she seeming climbed to stand on her hind legs with his chest as a wall while she sniffed him all over, tickling his cheek until he noticed blood on her left haunch.

"Jerry, did you know about this?" he asked his butler worryingly.

Jerry came closer and inspected the blood-covered area. "...I'm afraid not, Master Hyde. But it does seem she was bitten by something."

"Don't tell me..."

"Not to worry, Master Hyde. 'Twas no snakebite of the sort nor was it rats."

"So, what could it be?"

Jerry looked closer and then noticed one of the males was stained on the side of its lips. "Curious..." As Jerry moved in to pick up the suspicious male, it turned and lashed out at his hand, biting and thrashing viciously with its back arches and fur standing on end. The vixen was turning her head in all directions frightened by the sudden commotion as the other fennec brother cowered behind her. Jerry simply grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and picked him up, ignoring the damage to his hand, minor as it was. "I believe we have our culprit, Master Hyde." It was even more apparent when the run tried to climb Hyde's shoulder as if trying to escape.

Chleo shook her head as she offered to take him from Jerry. The kit didn't bite but did try to flail out of her hands as he growled and scowled at the three of them. "It's normal for readjusting wild animals to be a little violent. We can try separating them for a while, or at least at night to keep them from fighting. We need to keep them in the house till we have them settled..." She said as she took the time to gently rub over his face, tapping his nose and saying 'no' to ever snap and squirm. She smiled as he began to settle. "Also we might need to play with them a tad more, they have too much energy and would be a little violent because of that." She tried to explain, watching the fox start to settle down a little bit.

"We'll see..." replied Hyde, glaring suspiciously at the fennec kit as he petted the other three to help calm them. Jerry, on his way out of the enclosure, called for Hyde, whom followed with the runty female in his hands. "Master Hyde, I must inform you that I have set up a camera system within their den and enclosure for security," he explained. "We could look at the footage while tending to her wounds, if you so desire." Hyde stayed quiet for a moment before looking back at the enclosure for a bit before turning to Jerry and nodding.

Once inside, they treated and bandaged the girl's leg before looking at the footage. According to the video, the little female had entered the den after her brothers were settled in, apparently. The brother who attacked earlier was the only one to notice and got up after she had finally settled down next to the other brother only to attack the runt. They obviously fought violently until she finally submitted to him enough to be left alone. Unfortunately, this forced her to sleep alone because every time she was inching closer to her brothers for warmth, she would be chased off.

Hyde and Jerry watched on apprehensively for the morning footage only to see that the aggressive brother was the first one out of the small den and apparently growled at her as she cowered past him when she got out. The only one to actually show her any compassion was the pacifistic brother, giving her light licks and nuzzles, pawing at her face for a moment before returning to his brother's side, clearly caring fo rhis sister, but ruled by his brother through fear. "I had watched this morning's goings on before I made a curious call to Grenda for the documents and paperwork, which she delivered promptly this morning," Jerry explained as he handed Hyde the paperwork.

"You will see, Master Hyde, that she is actually a half-sister to the twins..."

"And clearly one accepts her, while the other one sees her as an outsider and himself as an alpha."

"Quite odd, seeing as Fennecs live in family groups of the same relation."

"Yeah...but the siblings are usually fully related..."

Jerry looked at Hyde curiously, as if surprised that his own employer did homework. Hyde petted the tiny female as he looked up at him curiously, her large ears pricked up with an adorable head tilt. Hyde chuckled at her as he noticed the old vixen sniffing her way around until she found Hyde and sat by his feet, looking around nervously. "...I think the girls and the one boy are the only ones who can stay. The other one has to go, sadly...or he might end up killing the runt..."

A week had passed and still they hadn't a need to give up the foxes yet. The runt, which they named Tetra, now slept in the bedroom with the old red fox, which they named Vixie, after the female from the Disney movie. The aggressive name, aptly nicknamed Goron for his larger stomach, was left outside with his kinder brother, which they named Link for his newly discovered bravery one day caught on the security tape when Goron tried to chase him off his dish greedily was fought off ferociously, and successfully. Vixie and Tetra get some play time with Link, who seems happier around the two girls. Goron, whose name was changed to Ganon, was still aggressive towards Hyde, Jerry, Chleo and the others.

One day, however, a rattlesnake had snuck into the enclosure and tried to take refuge in the den at night. Link and Ganon tried to fight it off, succeeding but not without Ganon suffering ast the casualty. Still, as they would've seen in the security footage, Ganon took a bite to the left shoulder. When the snake struck, he quickly bit the neck's base and snapped it, ripping it off his shoulder and tearing the head off. It was only after the victory that the venom finally set in and killed him.

Hyde enjoyed some cooked rattlesnake that morning for breakfast, but only after they gave Ganon a proper burial. Vixie and Tetra were left with Link that whole day to help console him as Jerry redid the enclosure with chicken-wire and concrete wall around the base.

"...You sure you patched up everything, Jerry?"

"Yes, Master Hyde. If anything so much as ever breaks into the enclosure, I'd revoke my name as a Kingsley."

"...You had that much faith in little Ganon, too, huh?"

"As much as faith as I do when using him in Super Smash Bros., Master Hyde."

"...That's a lot of faith."

"And it usually wins me tournies, sir."

That afternoon, Chleo was silent for a while, looking through a digital camera as they played, looking at the pictures of Ganon. Even though he was still a little nasty, he was still a member of the family for a short time and she was upset that he went the way he did. She had tears staining the fur around her eyes as she flipped through them. "He couldn't have been all bad... He still loved his brother..." she mumbled a bit as Link made his way to her lap. Pressing his head under her chest as she quietly mourned the brother that was lost. "I know you guys are way stronger than me, I couldn't stand the idea if I lost any member of my family... even the pushy mean ones." She sniffled as Tetra followed and curled in her lap with Link, making her struggle to keep her voice straight but in the end she found the strength.

Vixie found her way to Chleo, curling up at her side and resting her head on her thigh. Hyde took the old red fox into his lap as he sat with Chleo, hugging her close and trying to console her. "Don't worry, hunny...at least we got these three..." he whispered to her gently. Vixie sniffed her head up until she can find Chleo's chin and gave it consoling licks to try and offer her own comfort. Hyde smiled at the gesture, petting her in thanks.

A few months passed since then, the pain of loss having subsided finally after a week or so into it. Hyde was still going to his contracted shoots while Jerry looked after the foxes with and without Chleo's help (she did accompany Hyde once in a while). As the months passed, though, Vixie was noticeably getting slower and lethargic in her movements. She seemed to have less energy and slept more, even with Hyde taking days off to look after her. She was even starting to eat less, nibbling and sniffing at her food like she was losing interest. Soon enough, though, the truth came out.

It was on April 17, Hyde had found out Vixie was actually 17 years old. Hyde decided to take her to a park, giving her a collar to identify her, and letting have her way around the place. She went nuts, happiest she's ever been! She chased raccoons and hunted herself squirrels and mice (and surprisingly well for being so blind). She tossled and played with Hyde, as well as Link and Tetra. She would roll and run, go leaping and bounding everywhere as she played in the beautifully pristine park. Back home, she enjoyed her favorite Disney movie again while eating pizza meat and a bowl of Jerry's cooking which he put together just for her: a roasted pair of field mice, a grilled corn snake, and an oven-roasted quail. It was pretty much the most entertaining and most amazing day of her life. And then, curiously, Vixie curled up with Chleo and Hyde one night, getting help from Hyde. But unfortunately...she never awoke the next morning. Vixie had died in her sleep from her old age, but with what looked like a feeling of peace and tranquility.

Hyde decided to give her the service himself, building her a casket and laying her on her favorite, folded quilt. Losing Vixie was so heartbreaking that even Jerry cried and Hyde even wore a suit as they had the service. Now, at the very same park from yesterday, stands a tombstone with a colored portrait of Vixie framed curled up in Hyde's arms. The tombstone read, "Here lies Vixie. She never saw who she loved." For hours, Hyde sulked around his house, watching the Fox and the Hound the rest of the day and the whole night, sobbing silently. Tetra and linky even tried to console him but his pain was too strong to be battle by their cuddles and cuteness. Chleo was even concerned on such a different side than usual, but did her best to fight back her own tears. Jerry never questioned it; he only tried to do his best to comfort them with whatever he asked for, though he himself was having trouble coping as well. Everyone was so broken...they never saw what would've happened afterwards.

That night, as Hyde and Chleo were getting ready for bed, when Hyde noticed something. In the corner where Vixie used to sleep lay a basket and a bundle of old rags. Her old bed, left untouched in her memory, was suddenly moving. Hyde's ears perked as he knelt down to it.

"Chleo...I...I think there's something in here..." he whispered.

"Please for the love of god, tell me it isn't mice," she said as she moved farther back onto the bed. Trying to get away from the unseen creatures below, she felt her heart pound. "Well what is it?" she said, still keeping a good distance as Hyde began to look though the tattered rags.

Hyde pulled away the rags carefully until, finally...he saw it. His eyes misted over as his ears folded back, reaching in to clear away the last rag. Before his very eyes, squirming helplessly in the bundle, Hyde picked up a tiny, male, week-old fox kit. Turning to Chleo, he held the tiny baby in his hands as it weakly squirmed and cried. "Hunny...how long can babies live after their first feeding?" he asked hurriedly.

"Wake up Jerry, it about 10 hours if we are lucky." She said jumping from their bed and rushing out the doorway and calling out to Jerry.

Hyde rushed downstairs, barging into Jerry's room. "JER- AH!!!" He ducked as a hunting knife was flung at him, sticking into the door frame. He got back up, meeting the blade at eye level before turning to his groaning butler.

"SHIT, JERRY!!! WHAT THE FUCKING HELL!!!"

"Master Hyde, I am a tolerable man. But waking me at such an hour with me defenses on the alert, I-"

"NOBODY CARES!!! VIXIE LEFT US A BABY!!!!"

Jerry sat in clueless, sleep-drunken shock for a moment as Hyde huffed and puffed before he shouted again. "HE NEEDS FORMULA, OR HE'LL DIE!!!" To this, Jerry arose in his Ewok boxers while pulled on his Star Wars Pants in a single fluid motion. "Master Hyde," he said as he looked to Hyde with a stern, serious face, "get my coat!"

About 5 minutes later, they had reached a 24-hour grocery store and grabbed goat's milk, baby formula and a bottle. Right there in the store, they filled the bottle urgently, mixing it before Hyde snatched the bottle and tried to feed the now motionless kit. The baby didn't even so much as move, but Hyde kept trying to nudge its nose hoping it was just resting. "...No...No, no, no, come on, little one. Don't give up..." Hyde choked. A moment passed as Hyde kept trying to feed it before Jerry, leaned in close and felt for a heartbeat.

Hyde didn't even care. He ignored it, still nudging its tiny muzzle with the bottle's nipple to try and get a reaction. Jerry's expression only went dull and hurt as he stood to his feet. He even turned to Chleo and placed a hand to her shoulder. "I'll give you both a moment..." Hyde sat there, leaning against the back tire of the limo as tears flooded his eyes again. "...Come on...Your mom was a hell of a fighter... She lived longer than she should have, normally..." he sobbed to the little, lifeless newborn in his hands.

Chleo sighed, resting her forehead against his shoulder as she let him continue. Giving some hope as well as he tried to get the baby to nurse. She felt tears leave her eyes looking at the fiery pelt of the small babe, almost as bright as the patches left on his mother.

Hyde sobbed as he still tried to feed him. He then tried rubbing his thumb over the tiny chest between its tiny paws. He rubbed gently, trying to force the nipple into its tiny mouth. He stayed with this same process for a good half-hour before hugging it in close, sobbing and crying loudly as he held it to his chest dearly.

Hyde sat crying for a good moment before he felt something. Hyde looked to his chest as he felt the little newborn start wriggling and crawling weakly towards the spots of dribbled milk on the rag. Hyde watched in shock before putting the nipple to its tiny mouth. It took it a moment before it actually started tried to suckle and finally started to drink. Hyde gasped, stifling his tears, but he couldn't as he turned to Chleo in sheer joy as he cried. Cradling the little kit in his arm, while still feeding it, Hyde carefully got to his feet. "What a little fighter... He's gonna be okay..." he choked as he turned to everyone.

"O-Oh, sorry..." he gasped as he looked to the limo and decided to sit in the backseat and staying still as he let the little kit feed. That night, they all went home and slept peacefully as they watched over and cared for the little kit.

It had been two months since then when Hyde one day awoke to the little fox's fervent licking. They named him Kasai, and they cared for him as they would a child. Especially Hyde, who practically spoils him and even takes him, with Link and Tetra, to the (cleaner) studio sessions - sometimes they'd be part of the shoots. Then came the day Grenda called, telling Hyde that an animal sanctuary was willing to take them all in. Hyde pretty spilled the beans on the months occurrences and Grenda was about to scold him when he cut her off and simply said, "And if you ever call me to tell me I can't have these kids, you'll be so fired a one-night stand won't be your saving grace. Thanks, love." And from that day forward, Hyde, Chleo and Jerry lived with their new little friends: Link, Tetra, and Kasai.
