Makuyi Payne sat in a chair out on the balcony of the hotel room, his guitar in his paws. His parents decided to take a trip to some island resort; it wasn't his cup of tea. Makuyi sighed as he strummed a few notes on his guitar.

"Why did mom and dad have to make this trip? We aren't even spending anytime together. No different than being at home, how selfish of them. I could of spent my spring break riding my bike" Makuyi thought to himself as he ran his hand though his blond head fur to get it out of his eyes, his bangs flowing in the wind. He was a white wolf with blonde hair, he used to have white hair but then it became confusing when people thought that his hair was his fur. So he dyed it blonde.

Suddenly the door opened and his mother was standing at the doorway. "Hello honey, why don't you go out and find something do to here" Mrs. Payne asked going to the suitcase and picking up a disposable camera.

"Because there's nothing interesting to do here except to enjoy the scenery which I can do from here" Makuyi said not turning around to face his mother, strumming a couple more notes on his guitar.

"You might as well be back at home then" Mrs. Payne said walking out of the hotel room. Makuyi continued to play notes on his guitar.

"Hypocrite, don't act like I had a choice to be here".

Makuyi continued to play notes on his guitar, humming along with the music. Taking inspiration from the scenery around him. The pink and orange sky, the sound of the waves and the shore, the swaying of the palm trees, and then unfortunately the horrible sound of a guitar string breaking.

Makuyi looked at his guitar with desperation as he somehow tried to fix the guitar string, but to no avail.

"Aww fuck, now I really have to go and do something" Makuyi said to him self sighing. Makuyi changed out of his shorts in to a bathing suit, tee-shirt, and a pair of sunglasses and left the hotel room.

Makuyi walked out of the hotel and looked out at the scenery. There was the beach, a couple of beach chairs, and the sunset. Suddenly Makuyi felt a tap on his shoulder and jumped a bit.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you" said a reddish brown husky with brown head fur, wearing a pair of red swim trunks. He had a light smile on his face. "I'm Chris, what's your name" the husky said holding out his paw. "My name's Makuyi" Makuyi said shaking the husky's paw.

"Hey you know, a few minuets ago I heard some really nice music but then I heard a weird sound and it just stopped, that would of happen to be you that was playing that guitar" Chris asked.

"Yeah that was me"

"it sounded really good, I'm sorry that you couldn't continue"

"It's alright...thanks for the complement though" Makuyi said as he started to walk way. Chris watched Makuyi walk away and thought about what he could do. Suddenly Chris ran toward Makuyi and grabbed his paw and kept running. Makuyi had to run with Chris in order to keep from not falling forward. Makuyi didn't notice that his sunglasses fell off his head.

"Hey! What the heck are you doing!" Makuyi yelled trying to keep his balance; Chris's bushy almost tripping him from wagging too much. Chris looked back at him and giggled a little bit as they ran along the shore. Suddenly Chris grabbed Makuyi and threw him lightly in to the water, Makuyi however held on to Chris and he ended up falling next to Makuyi in the water, both of them laughing with their tails wagging slowly in the water.

"Heh, thanks for giving me something to do this afternoon, I greatly appreciate it" Makuyi said with a smile.

"you didn't think I was gonna let you walk alone on the beach, might as well play around with a friend" Chris said laughing as he cupped his paws and dumped some water on Makuyi's head. Makuyi giggled as he turned around, with his backside facing Chris and started to wag his tail hard to splash some water at Chris.

"Hey no fair!" Chris said giggling as he leaped at Makuyi bringing him down to the water. The both rough housed with each other, laughing and giggling for hours. Soon enough both of them lay in the water, both of them breathing hard with wide grins on their faces. Both of them looked over at the sun and saw that it was already late and that it was time for them to go back to their rooms.

"Wow, its night time. I guess time really does fly when you're having fun" Chris said with a large grin on his face.

"Yeah...I guess it does" Makuyi said quietly as he looked at the grinning husky, blushing lightly. Makuyi yipped a bit as he noticed that he was blushing more and more.

"Hey! Chris, I'm going to go inside. Thanks for hanging out with me." Makuyi said getting up from the sand and stepping back, hoping that Chris wouldn't notice that he was turning pink under his white fur.

"Oh alright then" Chris said with disappointment as he saw Makuyi wave lightly and start to walk away.

"Do you want to hang out tomorrow; we can meet here if you want?" Makuyi asked before walking anymore further.

Chris smiled. "Sure, see you tomorrow" Chris said waving back, smiling.

Makuyi ran back to his hotel room and unlocked the door quietly as to not wake his parents, he changed out of his wet clothes as he entered the room and started drying himself with his towel and getting the sand out of his fur and paws. "That was a fun day" Makuyi thought to himself as he put on dry shorts and went to his bed. He laid down in bed thinking about Chris; he grabbed his pillow and started hugging it tightly. Suddenly he realized what he was doing and threw the pillow aside.

"What the hell am I thinking? he's a guy!" Makuyi thought to himself with displeasure. He sat up and thought to himself for a moment about the husky and the time they had together. He grabbed his pillow and hugged it.

"Thinking of him does make me happy though...and I mean we did have a good time together" Makuyi thought to himself as he hugged the pillow tighter as he settled in bed.

"It doesn't mean anything; he just makes me happy, really really happy..." Makuyi said to himself as he drifted to sleep.

Chris leaped in to his bed, not caring that he was still wet and covered with sand. Burring his muzzle in to his pillow giggling and blushing.

"He's a really sweet guy, he's also really cute" Chris thought to himself as he smiled widely kicking his feet as he thought about seeing the wolf again.

****

Makuyi leaped out of bed the moment he woke up. His parents already left do to their own activates, once again ignoring that they had a son. But he didn't care as he changed in to another bathing suit. And rushed out the door to meet Chris only to find him at his door way, surprised that just as he was about to knock the door opened.

"Cool! My fist is magical" Chris said to himself looking at his hand with astonishment.

"Its not magical its coincidence that I opened the door just as you were about to knock on it" Makuyi said giggling a bit as he shut the door behind him. Chris winked at him.

"I don't believe in coincidence, I believe that things happen for a reason"

Makuyi stood there for a moment.

"I guess..."

"...that you will join me on the beach and make sand castles with me" Chris said grabbing Makuyi's paw and running with him outside of the hotel room. This time Makuyi wasn't caught totally off guard so he ran along with his new found friend.

But as they were running; Makuyi noticed that unlike yesterday he was blushing.

"Am I really starting to like this guy that I just met yesterday...?" Makuyi thought to himself as he ran with Chris to the beach.

"He's a guy though...could I really be gay?" Makuyi thought to himself as his ears dropped, he frowned at the thought of having to deal with the discrimination of being a tail raiser, faggot, fruit, fairy, and the list went on in his head. What would his friends think of him if they learned that he was "on the other side of the street"? All of these thoughts almost made him tear a bit.

"Hey are you alright, you seem sad" Chris asked.

Makuyi snapped back to reality as he saw that they had stopped running and were in a very sandy area of the beach. The sand was soft but hard enough to make sand castles with out the shore ruining it for a few hours, just what Chris wanted.

"Nah I'm fine dude, I just zoned out for a moment" Makuyi said denying that he was feeling bad.

"Then why is there a tear in your eye?"

"I got some sand in my eye" Makuyi said rubbing his eye with his paw.

"Oh, then come on! Play with me" chris said excitedly

Chris smiled as he sat down in the sand and patted the space next to him for Makuyi to sit down. Makuyi looked at him for a moment and then reluctantly sat down next to him. For a while they gathered sand and started to build the foundation for a sand castle. Nether of them had tools to make a castle so they relied on their paws to do the molding.

"Oh! That's right!" Chris said reaching in to his pockets and pulling out a pair of sunglasses and holding them out.

"Those are mines!" Makuyi said taking his sunglasses.

"I found them on my way back to my hotel room, and I knew they were yours. That's why I went to your room this morning" Chris explained.

"Thanks for bring them to me" Makuyi said placing them in his pocket.

"It's no problem. So uh, tell me more about yourself. When we first met we weren't exactly formal" Chris said giggling.

"Well my name is Makuyi Payne. And I live in a town called Briars Tail. I have alot of friends but I only have a couple of good friends. I'm really in to music and as you heard before I play the guitar"

"Wow that was really formal"

"I have a tendency of doing that" Makuyi said molding the sand with his paws in to a tower.

"Well my last name is Langley and I kinna live in a very wide scenic area, I don't even know the name of my town. I have a lot of friends but they come and go, so really I don't have that many friends, plus my parents like to move a lot. I'm an artist, I like to draw scenery more than anything though" Chris said digging fast in to the sand to create a moat for the castle.

"That's cool, you should show me your drawings one day, at least before either you or me leave"

"Yeah, if you want I'll draw some thing for you"

"Thanks, I wish I could do something for you though. I have no guitar string"

"Don't worry about it Makuyi, I think having you as a friend is good enough" Chris said with a smile that made Makuyi turned bright red.

"Hey, are you ok? You're turning red." Chris said with a bit of concern in his voice.

"Ah! Sunburn!" Makuyi yelled as he got up and ran wildly toward the water and took a flying leap in to the water.

Chris got up and ran to the water.

"Makuyi! Going in the water makes sunburn worse!" Chris yelled out.

Makuyi stood where he was for a moment. And then immediately continued running around screaming to his hotel room.

"Makuyi!" Chris yelled out as he ran after Makuyi.

****

Makuyi ran inside his hotel room, slammed the door, and ran inside the bathroom. He slumped down to the ground creating a puddle around him from being in the water.

"Aww damn it, I really, really, really like this guy...A lot!" Makuyi said to himself crying as he buried his muzzle in his paws.

"Makuyi! Are you ok!" Chris said as he knocked on the door of the hotel room.

Makuyi's ears perked up in fear. "Shit! I can't let him see me like this, especially after I made a fool of myself like that" Makuyi thought to himself as he got up and looked at himself in the mirror. His eyes were red from crying and his face red from blushing. Makuyi turned on the cold water and let it fill the sink until it filled up the sink and dunked his face in it.

As Chris continued knocking on the door his other paw touched the door handle and saw that the door was unlocked.

Makuyi lifted his head from the water and looked at himself in the mirror. He felt cold but the red on his face was gone. He grabbed the towel and dried his face as much as possible. His face had lightened but his eyes were still red.

"Makuyi are you ok?" Chris said as he roamed the hotel room. Makuyi heard Chris walking around the hotel room; he put on the sunglasses that he got back from Chris an put them on.

"Oh, hey Chris" Makuyi said nonchalantly as he walked out of the bathroom.

"Hey are you ok?" Chris asked with concern.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just got a little overheated; the sun was really blasting today." Makuyi said with a smile trying to cover up what had happened.

"Uh alright then. Because you seemed like you were in alot of pain. And why are you wearing sunglasses?"

"I'm fine, and the sunglasses make me look cool"

"Well, I guess we should stay out of the sun. Hey about we play in the afternoon, when the sun goes down" Chris suggested.

"Sure, alright then" Makuyi said giggling and smiling.

Chris gave him a confused look. "Are you sure you're feeling alright?" Chris asked with concern.

"Yeah, of course don't worry about me" Makuyi said giving Chris a hug. Chris hugged him back for a moment.

"Um alright then, ill see you later" Chris said as he left the hotel room. As soon Makuyi knew that he was in the clear he laid in his bed and started to cry a bit, but smiled knowing that he was able to convince Chris that he was perfectly fine, and that he actually hugged him and he was hugged back. Those thoughts kept Makuyi from having an emotional break down.

"Chris..." Makuyi said quietly to himself as he drifted off to sleep.
