The Deer & the Panther

The sun is raising over the forest and its rays of light shines down though the leaves of the trees, and the animals of the forest begin to wake.

Under some bushes, a young deer is hit by the rays and begins to wake up. "Umm...." The deer mourns. "What a good night and what a nice dream." She says as she stands up. As she gets closer to the cave, the scent gets a little stronger, when she reached the entrance of the cave she looks inside, it was empty.

She then walks inside and followed the scent to the middle of the cave where there was some twigs and leaves the made a nice sleeping spot for someone.

She puts her nose down to sniff at the bed. So close to the bed she could smell something else, that whatever animal it was, it was male and it excited.

"I wonder what kind of animal it is." She says to herself as she sniffs at the bed, suddenly she stood completely still as she hears someone coming, she turns around to look at the entrance, where she sees a black shadow standing.

Alisa steppes a little back in fear, she didn't know what it was, but she instinctive knew that it was a dangers predator, as she backed away the shadow takes a step towards her. She was shivering in fear as the predator came closer.

In front of her, the beast kept coming closer, ready to strike. She looks around with eyes wide open in panic for a way to escape but the only way out is behind the beast. As she stands there, the unknown predator begins to speak. "Why are you here?" It asks in a low voice, with its yellow eyes on her.

All Alisa could do, was shiver in fear of the large and unknown animal in front of her, afraid of what'll happen. "I asked you, why are you here?" He took another step towards her and saw how she shakes with fear. 'Hmm, she seems to be too afraid to speak, with me so close.' He then took a few steps back.

"Is this better?" He asked her, she looked at him still a little scared. "Don't worry I'm not going to hurt you." He then lies down on the ground. "Now why are you here?" He asked her again in a much more friendly voice.

Alisa begun to relax a little but was still on guard. "I... I smelled something, something I've never smelled before and I followed it here, I was just curious." She looked at the unknown animal. "Excuse me but what are you? I've never seen anything like you before." He looks at her then he smiles.

"My, my you sure don't seem to be as much afraid as before." She shakes her head and lies down.

"No but I'm not... actually I feel save here but I don't understand." He takes a sniff of the air and his nose catch a new smell in the cave.

'What's this smell, it smells familiar.' but before he can think more about it, the deer interrupts his thoughts.

"So what kind of animal are you?" He looks at her.

"I'm a black panther, a kind of big cat if you like." She looks more carefully at him.

"Now that you say it you do look like a big cat, a really big cat." She smiles at him. "My name is Alisa, what's yours?" He looks at her a little before he says.

"My name is Geran, nice to meet you Alisa." He then stands up and walks over to his bed and lies down again and closes his eyes to sleep, after a while he feels someone else laying down beside him, he smiles before he falls asleep with Alisa beside him.

Some hours later Geran awakes again. "What a good sleep." He said and yawned, he then tried to stand up but felt something warm and soft beside him, hr turn his head to the side and saw a deer lying beside him, cuddling into his side sleeping peacefully.

Hey hope it wasn't too bad (and I might have ignored a few laws of nature, so just ignore them), although this story was inspired by Sonic fox story "Odd company" I'm afraid it doesn't look much like it (probably because of my bad writing skill) I still hope that there's at least one that liked it, I'll continue it sometime soon (I hope) with the best of luck from me bye.
