At the sudden flash, Vol'sk immediatly sprung up from the ground, dropping his things. Upon trying to look at the

source of extreme light, his eyes were forced shut by its intensity and he was flung completely off his feet just moments

later. Sounds of carnage and screaming could be heard around him as he fell in a daze, regaining his blurry vision a few

moments later pointed at the sky. Clouds moved swiftly above him and it suddenly clicked in his mind what had just happened.

~Irharen...~, he thought, trying to pick himself back up. Irharen was a quite large city just visible in the distance from

his rock and it was cleary the source of light. Vol'sk succeeded in getting to his feet, just to look up and see a

monstrerous cloud where the city should have been. The red wolf was frozen looking at the horrific sight of a nuclear weapon,

the heat radiating across the front of his body. Suddenly the screams of many popped back into his ears and he looked behind

him to see that gaurd towers were toppled over and citizens ran wild in the streets of the small town. He went to jion them

in their running, trying to find his way back to his house to await some form of evacuation protocol. Already there was a

voice over townwide speaker phones advising everyone to calm down, but no one listened. There were even gunshots heard a

distance away that kept going, meaning there must be a firefight going on. Vol'sk tried to ignore it and frantically scurried

to his nearby house, fleeing inside and curling up in the corner of the tini kitchen. He was quite visible if anyone were to

walk into the building just from the front door. There the wolf sat for what seemed to be an eternity of listening to

gunshots and cowering to what might happen next. In reality, he was in there for a little over 2 hours until the sounds of

carnage outside stopped and instead a cheer of victory was heard. It echoed through the streets but was just a muffled sound

from where Vol'sk was. He was bent on staying put until authorities arrived, but when there was a knock on the door, that was

not the case. He watched the shabby thing creep open, a redish, armed lizard of similar build as himself walking through the

door. The lizard was wearing some form of scrapped armor and did not look like the normal emergency response units. It didnt

take any time for the lizard to notice Vol'sk and raise his weapon at the defenseless cowerer. "Don't move wolf!", he yelled

and searched for a moment through a pocket in his coat until he pulled out a little walkie talkie. "I have another one, a but

younger by the looks of it.", he said into the little machine. Moments later onther older voice came back as a response.

"Alright, get him out of there, we need to leave NOW." The lizard slipped the thing back into his pocket and lowered his gun,

holding his reptilian hand out to Vol'sk. The red wolf replied by slowly moving forward inch by inch until he was able to

grab the other's hand and pull himself up, shaking.

C'mon, we need to leave", said the lizard with a quick grab of Vol'sk's arm as he pulled him out the door.

"N-Noo!", screamed the young wolf, terrified of where he might end up. "Let me go!"

"Im here to help you, now shutup and just come with me!" The Lizard ended up dragging Vol'sk down the street against his will

to a group of the scrap armor soldiers. As soon as they were close, they all burst into a sprint down the street towards out

of town. Even from the street could be seen a quite large... airship? Vol'sk wasn't quite sure as the whole thing looked like

a piece of quick. Other smaller aircraft lay beside it. Vol'sk couldn't help but notice he was not the only one boarding the

ship... many others were. He took notice of what used to be family friends and co-workers. Everyone in sight was being taken

to this large ship that was identified to be a transport of some form. Vol'sk was one of the last to board the thing since it

had taken quite some time for the unknown soldiers to find him. As he was loaded and put in one of many seats, he noticed

that not too many were as afraid as he was. Most of them even seemed happy. Was he missing something? All he could do was

wait. It took quite some time before the soldiers closed the large blast door on the back and a few more minutes for anything

at all to happen next. Vol'sk sat tightly in his seat, holding desperatly onto the security bars as the engines made a very

loud crank and humming noise. The made him squeal in fear in which nearby passengers looked at him with odd faces and

children laughed. Vol'sk's cheeks went red and he hid them with his paws, awaiting to just get out of there to see what would

happen next...
