A cute small story that will help reintroduce one of my favorite red pandas out there. Enjoy!

She was greeted as she walked in, just like any other day.

"Mistress there's mail on your desk."

"Thank you kitten. Is dinner finished?"

"A few more minutes Mistress."

Her pets were prepared, as always. The fox smiled at the leopard, watching him skip towards the kitchen after her dismissing nod. She shook her head with a smile, walking to her office with a sigh. She put away her files from the work day and sat in her favorite chair before turning on her computer. She noticed her leopard pet had organized her mail already, separating the junk from the important envelopes, leaving the ad flyers and "sale" papers to one side for her to throw away. She smiled, happy to have someone take the task of sorting these things from her. Something colorful caught her eye, something other than blank white envelopes and brightly colored newspaper.

Her tail flicked, ears perking with interest as she picked it up. It was made of thick card stock with a beautifully painted picture on one side. She tilted her head; why would anyone send her a postcard? She studied the painting for a bit. A large mountain sat in the background, forest covering almost the entire foreground. Astounding flowers of varying colors were sprinkled throughout the greenery.

Sitting there, to one side of the card, was a tiny brown frog, so minuscule in the scheme of things it seemed like it shouldn't even be there. In fact, realizing this was a photo and not a painting, the fox saw that part of the tiny amphibian was missing. It was as if the poor creature had jumped partially into the photo without the artist knowing seconds before it was taken. With a furrowed brow, the fox domme carefully turned the postcard over, leaning back in her seat to read that were somewhat sloppily written.

Madam,

I apologize for not writing sooner, I know you must have been worried. I have been rather busy and lost track of time recently.

I wanted to say thank you, for everything you taught me under your caring paw. I wish to see you again one day, as friends, if that is okay with you. When I get settled somewhere I will write to you again and we can discuss that possibility; until then, I hope this postcard finds you in good health and happiness.

You are in my thoughts,

~Coqui

A knock on the door interrupted her thoughts; it was kitten, come to tell her dinner was ready. She looked up with a smile, her tail swaying happily as she told him she would be there shortly. Placing the postcard to one side, she picked up the junk mail and threw it in the shredder without a second glance. She sorted through the bills and scoffed at a few offers for slave trading she had received. After checking her online messages, she signed off, clearing her desk and putting everything away for the night. She finally picked up the postcard once more, smiling as she rummaged for a push pin in her desk. She managed to find one, finally, pinning the postcard to her message board. The bright colors seemed to light up the room and she smiled happily.

"Mistress, tea is getting cold." The leopard had appeared, a worried look on his face.

"Coming kitten; I had a bit more mail than I thought." She turned, smiling warmly at him as she stood and walked to the door, shutting it carefully with one final look towards the postcard.
