#3 of The Pride

Here you are, my story featuring my fursona and a family of lions, the Prides. From left to right let me introduce you to Sara, Louise, Henry and Michael and the two youngest, the twins Elisa and Lisa.

I wrote this story to get back into writing after nearly a year with out any serious attempt at wirting, after I gotten through a rough patch in both my working and personal life. Unlike most of my stories I don't have it planned out or even where I want to take it and as of yet is still uncompleted.I'm currently giving the story a an edit and one day I think I'll come back and complete it but for now enjoy what I have written so far.

Malakye felt himself be bundled into the males car, the leather seats felt so soft against his scales, that was the last thing thought Malakye had before he once again lost consciousness.

"But your badly beaten." the male tried to reason but Malakye shook his head and gave him a pathetic shove with one arm that barely moved the male. "All right, all right! But I'm not leaving you here." He picked up Malakye with little difficulty, Malakye was limp in his arms but feeling the warmth of the other male warm his cold body he couldn't help but murr but it came out more like a strangled cough.

The Pride - Chapter 2

Warm. Comfy. Soft.

Malakye murred happily, his body felt like a lead weight but at least he was warm. Slowly he opened his eyes and blinked several times to focus. Where was he? Looking at his surroundings he was in a bedroom and nice one at that! He went to sit up to get a better look when his body reminded him that he had been beaten. He let out a grunt of pain and fell back in the bed, the sharp pain eventually becoming just a dull throb. Malakye tried to look at his surroundings again, this time with out moving. The curtains were closed but the light shining through them allowed Malakye to see.

The room was cream coloured, the walls and curtains an off white, and there were several large pieces of furniture made from dark wood dotted around the room and there was a door on the opposite wall from him. Taking a deep breath Malakye caught the scent of several furs all feline, but they were faint, perhaps a guest room in some ones house? Malakye didn't get to think about it much more when the bedroom door opened and in walked a large male Lion, his fur a light golden brown, his large mane was a dark brown in contrast. He was obviously older than Malakye, probably old enough to be his father. He was as tall as Malakye but was wider and more muscled than him.

"You're awake!" He said happily. Malakye didn't answer him, he just lay there not moving, nervous as he was completely at this males mercy. "You've been asleep for two days, I was beginning to worry." The male said walking over to the bedside with a mug in his hand. "Here, have a drink." He offered moving the mug to Malakye's mouth. Malakye eyed the cup and then the feline for a few moments which caused the feline to chuckle.

"What? You think I'm trying to drug you?" He asked with a chuckle. "I think I've had ample time to do whatever I wanted to you while you were unconscious don't you?" He smiled at Malakye warmly, Malakye couldn't help but let a small smile slip across his maw before leaning forwards to take a drink. The lion held the cup and tilted it as Malakye drank, Malakye didn't realise how thirsty he was till the cool water hit his tongue, he couldn't stop drinking it and was disappointed when it ran out.

"Still thirsty?" The lion asked, to which Malakye nodded. "I'll go get you some more." He smiled at Malakye once more before leaving, closing the door behind him as he went.

Malakye got this feeling of safety from the lion. He tried to move once more, slowly this time stopping quickly when he felt a nagging pain begin to build. Everywhere there was dull throb, not painful, Malakye had taken enough beatings to know that he should be in a lot more pain, the lion must have given him some pain killers as he was sleeping. It was right at that point that Malakye realised that he was in fact naked. He moved the bed covers to confirm this realisation, other than some bandages he was completely naked underneath the bed covers.

The Lion walked back in the room with a glass and a pitcher of water. He poured Malakye a glass and held it for him to drink. Malakye drank three glasses before he felt refreshed. The lion put the glass down next to the pitcher and smile at Malakye taking a seat on the edge of the double bed.

"Wh-" Malakye coughed, his throat still feeling rough and sore.

"Whoa now, take it easy." The lion said reassuringly placing his hand on Malakye's shoulder. "Take your time."

"Wh-wh-y a-am I-I... n-n-ak-ed?"

"Huh? OH! Your clothes were filthy and covered in blood. I took them off to get them cleaned up... well what's left of them anyway." Malakye accepted that, he had been beaten pretty badly and its not like his clothes were clean to begin with.

"W-w-he-re... a-am... I?"

"You in my home. I was going to take you to hospital but that seemed to terrify you so I took you here. My wife is a nurse so she tended to your injuries."

"W-w-wh-who..." "Oh I'm sorry I still haven't told you my name have I?" The Lion interrupted assuming that it was Malakye's question. "My name is Henry Pride. What's yours?"

"M-m-m-al-la-k-k-kye."

"Mala-kye?" Henry said slowly trying to confirm how to say the name. Malakye nodded when he said it. "Malakye... a good strong name!" Henry smiled, Malakye smiled back and couldn't help but chuckle. Why did he feel so calm and safe?

"So Malakye..." Henry's tone became more serious. "I couldn't find any ID on you and judging by the state of your clothes I'd say you were homeless am I right?" Malakye blushed slightly, not visible due to his dark scales. Malakye nodded in response a bit of fear and worry gnawing at the back of his mind now. "Well I don't know what happened to you Malakye or why you didn't want to go to the hospital but so far you seem like a nice young male who has had a few bad turns in life."

Henry's comment reminded him about how he had become homeless in the first place and he felt tears begin to form in the corner of his eyes.

"It's okay Malakye. Shhh..." Henry gave him a gentle hug and that finally pushed Malakye over the edge, he burst into tears and cried into the lions shoulder clutching the man closely like a child would do their parent. "That's it, let it out." Malakye cried for a while, he cried till he had no more tears to shed and through the whole ordeal Henry had sat their and held him and let him cry his eyes out. All the pent up grief and anger, all the years of living on the streets having to survive Malakye had vented it all in his tears and felt lighter somehow after doing it. "Feel better?" Henry asked with a warm smile. Malakye sniffed, smiled back and nodded his head.

"Th-th-a-an-k... y-y-you."

"You're welcome Malakye. Now get some rest, we'll talk later." Malakye didn't resist, he felt so tired after his cry he lay back against the soft comfy pillow and was asleep almost instantly.

Malakye awoke once again several hours later and this time he was dying to pee. He tried to call out but could only manage a hoarse whisper like before, he vaguely remembered one of the Pack stamping on his neck a couple of time. Malakye lay there desperately hoping that someone would come and help him, but after a few minutes he decided to do what he always had, not rely on others and do it himself. Not wanting to wet the bed like a cub, Malakye fought the pain his joints sent shooting through his body when he moved. The pain was not as bad as before but was still uncomfortable and awkward. Rolling over Malakye fell to the floor, cursing in pain but the urgency of the situation made him quickly push himself off the floor and using the bedside table which still had the water pitcher on it he pulled himself to his feet. He turned and made his way towards the door, staggering every now and then, his foot steps heavy and his joints screaming at him every time he moved. He made it across the room and slumped against the wardrobe next to the door and began to reach for the handle but stopped as his hand reached it.

As desperate as he was to pee he had no idea where he was or where the toilet was and didn't know who else was in the building and he was extremely naked. Growling in frustration he then noticed something on the dressing table on the other side of the door way, it was a pair of jogging trousers that were folded neatly and placed there, were they put there for him? It didn't matter, he'd wear them, it was better than parading round some ones house naked. After a brief struggle he managed t pull them on and quickly resumed his quest to find the toilet, his need was extreme now, it was taking every bit of his self control to hold it in.

Stepping into a brightly lit hallway Malakye slumped against the wall using it to support himself. He was at the end of the hall way, a window on his right letting in the day light and to his left lay a long corridor with five other doors, three doors on each side with a stair case at the far end of the hall leading downstairs. The door directly across the hall was open and he let out a silent prayer when he saw it was in fact the toilet. Throwing himself into the room he all but slammed the door closed in his haste, but did take the time to lock the door before rushing over to the toilet and lifting the lid. Deciding to play it safe Malakye slid the trousers he was wearing down and sat down to pee, he didn't want his legs to give out halfway through.

He couldn't help but sigh in relief, it was one of the most pleasurable experiences he'd ever had, he would almost say it was better than sex. After he had relieved himself Malakye remained on the toilet, letting his legs recover before trying to move again and took the time to examine the room. It was one of the fanciest bath rooms he had ever seen. The was a large shower which could likely hold at least three furs easily maybe even four or five at a push. The shower also had a raised floor in one part so the occupants could have a seat. A large bathtub sat against the wall next to the shower and on the other wall on his right there was a large shallow sink and a large mirror with various items scattered round the edges, toothbrushes, hair brushes, make up... everything you would expect to see in a typical bathroom. The walls were painted green and the floor and counter tops seemed to be made at Malakye's best best some sort of green marble. A knock on the door snapped Malakye out of his thoughts.

"Malakye?" Henry's voice came from the other side. "Is that you in there?" Malakye tried to answer back but once again could only manage a whisper, he wasn't sure if Henry could hear him. "Is everything okay in there?" Malakye wanted to reassure the man who had been so kind to him that he was okay when he got an idea. Pulling himself up to his feet he turned and flushed the toilet. Not the best way but at least it would let Henry know he hadn't collapsed in a heap on the floor. Malakye pulled up his trousers and moved to the sink to wash his hands, it was only proper to do so even though he never usually got the chance to. After washing his hands he took in his appearance, his torso was wrapped in white bandages, his wings seemed undamaged and he had several small cuts and bruises on his arms and face. He did notice that one of his horns had been snapped, which made him feel upset as it would take years for that to right itself. He tentatively ran his hand over the broken horn which was now only a couple of inches long. He staggered over to the the door and unlocked it. When he opened it he saw Henry there with a gentle smile who offered him a hand.

"I'm impressed you can move around as well as you can." Henry said putting his arm round Malakye to help guide him. "I'm sure you must be hungry so I was coming to see if you were wanting some dinner? I was going to take some up to you, but perhaps you'd like to join me and my family at the table if your up for it?" Malakye was definitely hungry, he had almost been in a constant state of hunger for the last four years but he had grown accustomed to the feeling, but did he want to join a group of strangers at their own dinner table? Malakye hesitated for a minute his dilemma obvious to Henry.

"You don't have to if you don't want to but my family are very curious about you. I've told them to leave you alone while you recover, but they really want to see you." Henry explained. Malakye wanted to thank the fur for quite possibly saving his life, and now he was also going to feed him. He supposed it was the least he could do for Henry to sit at the table with his family. He nodded in agreement and couldn't help but smile when he saw how pleased Henry was. "Great come on then. My wife has prepared quite the meal, there will be plenty for you."
