Darkness and Light
So, I just had the idea to write this. It is not my best work, but I am pretty proud of it. Let me know if you like it!

Born in darkness, Raised in light, Returning to my comfort, And loosing the fight.
The darkness I see, My friend I perceive, In truth, my enemy, Bringing death to me.
I grow weary of the dark, The stifling enemy that binds; I would replace with light, The light that strengthens minds.
Inside me lives a beast, And rages mortal war. The world in which I live, Is threatened more and more.
Why do I deprive myself, Take away my joy, And live with doubt, Or live without, The light of life employed.
In the corner that I live, It kills in increments, Escape is what I will find, But now I build my battlements.
I'm sick of running, And sick of hiding, I need a way out, My time, I am done biding.
But, what can I do, What can bring me health? This Devil may be small to you, But to me is death itself.
