The inspiration for this chapter can be explained in two words: Ben drowned. I'd recently heard of the creepypasta called Ben Drowned. I figured I'd make a chapter inspired by it. As always, constructive criticism is welcome.

Chapter 4: The Nightmare

I awoke to the sound of a scream. I got up and walked out the cubicle door. The whole barracks was a wreck. Blood stained the gray walls red. And, by the looks of things, I was the only survivor. I looked at the wall of the barracks opposite of the entrance only to see me. Or rather, a statue of me. It was extremely creepy. It stood there with oval eyes that matched mine only in color. Suddenly, it cracked a smile. Yes, the statue smiled, evilly.

I went back into my cubicle, picked up my H43, and turned to exit. Too late; it was already at the door. I put a three round burst into the statue's head. It's tail began to wag slowly, hauntingly. Then, it spoke: "You shouldn't have done that..."

"What," I studdered. "What the fuck are you?" It just sat there, staring at me. "Fuck it," I said. I pushed past the fucking thing. I booked it out the bloodstained door, finding the body of PFC. Sandzen near it. Outside wasn't any less a hell then inside. Actually, it was worse. Blood stained the ground and several buildings. The water of the nearby lake was blood red, many soldiers' corpses floating in the mess. I turned behind me to see the evil looking wolf statue right behind me, but I also saw something else; something that wrenched at my heart: the bloodied, mangled bodies of Erica and Daniel.

I stumbled back, lost sight of the door, and when I looked back, the statue was gone. "Where the fuck are you," I shouted. "What the fuck did you do to my family?" Suddenly, I heard a laugh behind me.

"You've met with a terrible fate," the statue accused. "Haven't you?" Next thing I knew was that I was on the ground, slowly incinerating.

"Fuck," I screamed. I woke up from my nightmare screaming the same word.

"Sergeant first class," Sgt. Hines asked at my door. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, sergeant," I said. "Just a nightmare." I stood up. It was time to get ready for the day
