#6 of Trials

This is the 8th story of 'Trials.' I know this is extremely out of order, but since I'm having this crazy case of writer's block, here is a story I had written a few months ago. It's the 8th story of 9 in the 'Trials' series. This is the second story of Jake. It's not what I'm calling a "big" story, where something drastic happens, but at least it's something while I try to get out of this slump. There are some events mentioned in this story that occur in the two skipped parts, but I feel that they're explained enough in here as to not cause too much confusion. Enjoy!

Jake sat at a table in the university food court, eating his lunch alone. It was his first week in college, and so far he enjoyed it. He had convinced his dads to pitch in for an apartment off campus, so he hadn't really met many new people, but that's how he wanted it. He had way too many 'friends' in high school. He was tired of social politics. He felt pretty good about the classes he had picked out for his first semester, and hoped that his initial estimation of them would hold for the rest of the semester. Even though he had an apartment, he had been eating on campus since his tuition included food. He didn't really mind the public setting. He may be a loner, but he liked to watch people. Seeing how they interacted with each other had always been interesting to him. He was chewing a bite of his sandwich and watching a young couple of otters swooning at each other sickeningly, when a large black bull plopped himself in the seat across from Jake and smiled. He recognized the bull from his English class the other day, but couldn't remember his name.

"Hi." The bull said, smiling.

"Hello. Can I help you?" Jake arched his eyebrow.

"I'm Chris. We have the same English class."

"I know. I was there."

The bull's smile didn't waver. "You're Jake, right?"

"Yes I am."

Chris looked at Jake up and down, leaving him feeling like he had just been undressed by the bull's eyes. "You're cute, you know?"

"Thank you." Jake couldn't help but admit to himself that Chris was quite attractive as well, but he knew exactly what the bull was trying to do, and wouldn't give in to it.

"You're welcome. I play football here. Linebacker."

He knew it. The aura of over confidence and vanity that only came along with jocks seemed to permeate the air around the bull. Jake smiled. "If you think being a gay football player is going to make me swoon all over you, you're making a big mistake. The 'masculine hunk' persona might work on the other little gay boys, but I'm used to it."

"Used to it, huh?" The bull chuckled, some of the ultra-masculine front wearing down. "How's that?"

Jake chuckled. "Played football in high school. Also my dad and grandfather were both pro football players."

"Ah," Chris nodded, "I see. You said the 'other little gay boys.' Does this mean you're gay?"

Jake nodded back.

"Hmm. You know, I like you." The bull smiled.

"You've only known me for a minute." Jake looked at him slyly.

"I get a feeling about you. You may act aloof, but somewhere inside you want this to go further."

"Oh really? Well I can tell a few things about you, too. You may act like this tough, overconfident football player, but deep inside you're just soft and squishy. You really want to experience a boyfriend, but you're scared, so you look for cheap thrills and sex instead. Maybe someone hurt you or someone close to you got hurt by someone else. Also, you use your status as a pick-up because you're too afraid that you won't have anything to offer otherwise." Jake watched the bull's eyes widen just slightly. "I know the type well. I used to be it, in fact."

The bull's smile wavered slightly. He shrugged. "Maybe you're right. It just proves that I'm right, too."

"And what are you gonna do about it?" Jake leaned in, smirking.

"Just what you want me to do." The bull smirked back. "Take it further." Chris stood from the seat, turning to leave. He spared one last look at Jake. "See ya in English, stud."

Jake smiled to himself as the bull left. This was going to be fun. He liked it when a guy could keep up with him. Most people just saw him as a jerk, but he liked to flirt and play a bit of games with other guys. It weeded out the ones that weren't serious. He didn't quite know if this bull was serious, but he had to say he was intrigued by Chris. Not to mention he was pretty hot, reminding him of how his uncle Derron looked back when he was in college.

Coincidently the next day after the run-in with the bull, Jake had English class again. When he got to the room, it was mostly empty save for a couple other students, and one beaming bull. Jake smiled back amused, purposely taking a seat on the other side of the room from Chris. Confirming his predictions, the bull stood up and moved to sit next to Jake, with that smile ever-present on his face. That over-confident feel he got from Chris had faded quite a bit, making Jake think that it really was a front. The bull didn't say anything, thankfully - the room was so deadly quiet that any conversation with him would probably be exceedingly awkward - he just smiled at Jake until the professor walked in and began the class.

It wasn't until after class was over that Chris said anything to him.

"So, got any classes after this one?"

Jake wanted to say yes, but this was his last class of the day, and he never enjoyed lying outright just to play hard to get. "No, this is my last one."

"Want to get lunch?"

"Well, that's usually what one does around noon, when one has nowhere to be." He smirked.

"With me?"

"Hmm, that one's a bit harder to decide. Can you give me some time to think about it?"

Chris chuckled. "What if I don't give you a choice in the matter?"

"I don't know. I might have to call campus police and tell them I have some creepy bull stalking me."

"Oh, so you think I'm creepy, now?" The bull's smile faded a bit, the question as to whether Jake was joking or not plain on his face.

"Only if you're stalking me."

"Oh, well I don't think it's stalking if I'm just meeting you after a class we both have. If I was going to stalk you, I would have already known it was your last class and I wouldn't have asked."

"You could have just asked to make me think that." Jake pointed out.

Chris shrugged. "I guess we'll never know."

Jake walked with the bull to the cafeteria, never definitively saying he didn't want him to join him. Honestly, he did want to get to know Chris a little better. He seemed to be set on getting with him. Whether or not the ideal 'getting' would be just sex or something more had yet to be seen. He probably wouldn't deny either one if it came down to it, but he would prefer the latter. Jake wasn't too horribly hungry, so when they reached the cafeteria, he opted for a small salad, which was already prepared and in the refrigerator. Chris stood in the line for subs, which would take him a bit longer to navigate. Jake paid for his food and sat down without waiting on the bull, but didn't start to eat right away. He sipped on his soda until Chris finally sat down across from him.

"So you do want to spend more time with me." The bull said as he sat down, noticing Jake's untouched salad.

Jake shrugged. "Just being polite."

"Sure, sure. So tell me about yourself. What's your major?" The bull smiled as he picked up his sandwich.

"Engineering, you?"

"Math." Chris said around a mouthful of sub.

Jake arched an eyebrow. "Really? A football-playing mathematician? That's new."

Chris smiled. "And you thought you knew everything about me. Just because I play football doesn't mean I'm dumb."

Jake chuckled. "Perhaps not, but the odds generally tilt the other way."

"I'm not going to argue with that. Most of the other guys on the team are dumb as bricks when it comes to anything but football. So, what about your family? You said your dad played football, but what does your mom do?"

"Don't have one." Jake smiled. "Two dads. My other dad is a physics professor over at the University of Liston."

Chris' eyebrows rose in surprise. "Well, now. Seems we have a lot more in common than you might have thought."

"Oh, really?"

"Yeah." The bull nodded. "My dad was in the PFL, and he's bi. So there's the non-straight football-playing parent thing. The more interesting thing is that I'm from Liston, too."

"Small world." Jake nodded, trying to keep the surprise off his face. Liston was a big city and of course Jake didn't know everyone, but most everyone who grew up there went to college there as well.

"Indeed. So I'll save you the trouble of asking me about my mom." He smiled. "She ran out on us when I was really young, so I don't know anything about her."

"Sorry to hear that, but what made you think I was gonna ask?" Jake smirked back.

"It would have been polite, and you said earlier that you were trying to be polite." The bull mimicked Jake's smirk.

"So it seems." Jake let his sentence hang in the air as he thought about the bull. He was quite surprised to learn that he was a math major, definitely, and from the same city. Chris was very attractive, seemed smart, and generally seemed like a fun guy. Maybe this would be worth pursuing.

"Thinking about whether or not to give in to me?" Chris winked.

Jake jumped at the accuracy of the bull's guess, giving him away. Chris just looked back with that knowing smile. Jake sighed. "I guess you caught me."

"So what was the verdict?"

Jake fell back into his teasing mode. "What makes you think I was gonna tell you?"

"What makes you think you have many more chances to decide?" The bull winked.

Damn, he was on the losing side of this one now, and Chris knew it. He stared back at the bull, who wore that smile that told Jake he was just waiting for him to crack. "I guess I'll do it."

"Do what?" The bull's smile widened.

"You?" Jake teased.

"Oh, not even dinner first?"

"Well dinner usually comes after lunch. I don't really know where I'll be eating tonight." Jake hinted.

"I have some ideas." Chris smiled widely as he pulled out his phone. "Number?"

Jake gave the bull his number. "I'll leave you to plan."

Jake turned away from the satisfied-looking bull, and headed out to go home. He wished he would have been able to tease the bull a bit more - he was definitely fun to tease - but he didn't regret finally agreeing to Chris' come-ons. He looked forward to their 'date' later, and couldn't help but wonder how it would go.

Chris pulled up to Jake's apartment, following the directions the tiger texted him. He couldn't deny that he was excited. The tiger had caught his eye the first day he saw him, and Chris found himself instantly attracted to him. At first he was just thinking of getting Jake into bed, but after a bit of the tiger's teasing - which he actually found pretty fun - he changed his mind. Jake was smart and fun to be around, not to mention hot as hell. He was a triple-threat. Chris knew that the tiger would eventually come around to his charms, but even with that knowledge, it was exciting when he did.

He knocked on the door to Jake's apartment, which was shortly opened to reveal the gorgeous tiger. He was dressed in khaki pants, and had on a dress shirt that, while not very tight, showed off his physique wonderfully. Chris couldn't help but look him up and down, taking in every sight. Jake was smaller than him, but still quite muscular. Chris had to control himself a bit and remind himself that they had to go to dinner before jumping the tiger.

"Like what you see?" Jake was smiling at him.

"I wouldn't have hit on you so hard if I didn't." Chris winked back.

"So where are we going?"

"It's a surprise, of course."

Chris led Jake to his car, and he started his drive to the restaurant he had picked out. Jake was looking at everything out the window, and would occasionally look at Chris and smile. It was the warmest gesture he had gotten from the tiger so far. Yes, he was definitely dating material. He always had hunches about people, and those hunches were usually right. He could sense that Jake was a great guy; he could see the humor behind those eyes when he was teasing Chris. He smiled to himself as he neared the restaurant. He'd picked out a very expensive one, Du Gourmand. It was one of those high-class places with a master chef and sky-high prices. Luckily, Chris knew a couple of the guys that worked here, and he finagled a reservation quickly.

Jake's eyes popped as he pulled into the parking lot. "Du Gourmand? Really?"

Chris chuckled. "Yep."

"I... Uh... I can't afford this place."

"My treat. It is a date, right?" Technically, Chris couldn't afford it either, but he had called his dad asking for some extra money. Of course, his dad sent him some, but not without a hearty laugh and a bit of teasing.

"It's a bit... High class for a first date, don't you think?"

"Heh, I think you're worth it." Chris smiled at the tiger.

"Well, I don't see where you're getting that. I'm worth a steakhouse at most." Jake smiled back. "But I'm not going to decline a free dinner at Du Gourmand, so let's go."

Chris smiled as the tiger grabbed his paw in the car. Dinner had gone even better than he was expecting. They didn't talk about much during the meal aside from how good the food was, but Jake had definitely enjoyed himself. The paw-holding was clear evidence of that. He squeezed the tiger's paw back, rubbing his thumb through the short fur. Chris never went long without sex, but he could hardly remember the last time he just held someone's paw. The touch seemed almost more intimate in that way. When he finally pulled up to the parking lot of Jake's apartment, Chris turned and smiled at Jake.

"I had a great time tonight, Jake."

"Me too." The tiger smiled back. "I'd love to do it again sometime."

"Definitely." He squeezed Jake's paw.

"Hmm... Something tells me you don't want it to end just yet."

"Can you blame me?" Chris chuckled.

"Not at all. I don't either."

"What did you have in mind?"

"Oh, I can think of a few things." Jake purred throatily, making Chris hungry for something other than food. "I think you'll like them, too." The tiger opened his door and started to get out of the car, brushing his tail across Chris' arm as he did. "Unless you want to wait."

As an answer, Chris bounded out of the car, following the quickly moving tiger. Before he knew it, he was chasing Jake through his apartment, barely even registering the place until they finally got to the bedroom. The tiger slammed Chris into the wall, and claimed his mouth with his own. He accepted Jake's tongue eagerly as their bodies pressed together, getting Chris hard in an instant. The tiger was rough, something Chris had never been the recipient of before. He was surprised how much he liked it; how much he wanted to submit to him.

"Fuck me, tiger." Chris' words shocked even himself as the kiss broke.

Jake just raised an eyebrow. "Mmm, didn't see you as the type."

Chris rubbed his groin against the tiger's. He had never been this submissive before, but he wanted it badly. "I'm not, but I don't care. Please fuck me."

Jake leaned his muzzle in close. "With pleasure, stud."

It seemed only milliseconds before they had finished throwing their clothes off, standing naked in front of each other. Chris gazed appreciatively at the tiger in front of him. He was a bit leaner than Chris, but was still pretty built. His eyes almost popped out of his head, and he almost whimpered, as his eye's landed on Jake's cock. It was much bigger than any other Chris had been with, perhaps even bigger than his - and he was big even for a bull. He wondered silently if he had been too hasty with his offer to be the bottom.

"Mmm." Jake grabbed Chris cock, stroking slowly. "Never been with anyone as big as me."

Chris huffed at the touch, bringing his paw to the tiger's rough member. "Me neither."

Jake chuckled. "Show me how much you want it."

Chris kneeled in front of the tiger, bringing the shaft up to his muzzle, and licked the tiger's cock from base to tip. Jake moaned above him as he lavished the pink erection with his tongue, before Chris lustily shoved it in his muzzle. He relished the pure taste of tiger in his mouth as he sucked, savoring the salty taste of the fluid that slowly leaked from Jake. He couldn't take the whole cock in his mouth, but he tried anyway, the desire for more driving him. He could have stayed here for hours, sucking off the tiger. He reached up a paw to caress Jake's velvety balls, eliciting a loud purr from above. He became lost in the motions, focusing only on the tiger's pleasure, until a paw gripped the back of his neck and pulled him off.

"On the bed." Jake demanded.

Chris acquiesced immediately, climbing onto the bed and presenting his ass on his paws and knees. He looked behind him and saw Jake lick his chops before settling on his own knees at the foot of the bed. The tiger gripped Chris' cock, angling it between his legs, and gave the member a long lick, the feeling of the rough tongue against his smooth cock making Chris moan loudly. The lick didn't stop at the base of his cock, but continued over his balls, going nonstop until reaching his hole. He gasped as he felt the tiger's tongue enter him, lapping at his rear furiously. He pushed back into Jake's flicking tongue. Chris had never been the recipient of rimming before, but now he knew why it drove guys crazy when he did it to them. His cock was throbbing, almost painfully hard, when suddenly the tongue left his ass.

He heard a familiar click of a bottle and moaned in anticipation. He'd never been this eager to have someone fuck him, and silently he wondered if he was going crazy. No matter what his mind said to him that this might not be a great idea, his body and lust controlled him now. He jumped slightly as a cold finger circled his hole before pressing inside Chris. The finger was soon joined by a second, stretching him slightly. He moaned at the intrusion, pushing back and mentally begging for more. The fingers eventually left him, and he felt a paw rest on his hip. Chris' eyes bulged as he felt the tiger's cock press into him, stretching him suddenly to his limit.

"Ah! Fuck!" Chris gripped the sheets as the tiger's rough cock slammed into him without preamble. His eyes began to water, his ass suddenly being pounded mercilessly. He wanted to cry out and tell Jake to stop. He wanted to tell him to go harder. He heard himself moaning, almost crying in a mix of extreme pleasure and excruciating pain. It was like nothing he'd ever felt before. He struggled to keep himself upright as the tiger fucked him, each thrust sending a shockwave through his body. The struggle proved futile as he landed on his face, arms buckling uselessly to his sides. It seemed to go on for an eternity, each thrust making him want to cry and making his cock throb at the same time.

Eventually he heard the tiger's moans grow louder, almost reaching the level of Chris'. He felt Jake's chest fall on top of his back, and he flinched as jaws clamped into the back of his neck, sharp teeth threatening to pierce him. The pleasure overtook the pain slowly, in waves, until finally something completely new to Chris happened. He bellowed as the ecstasy pushed him into climax, spilling his seed onto the sheets below. His eyes went wide in a mix of surprise and pleasure. Nothing was touching his cock, but he still came. Soon after, the tiger roared above him, slamming into him one last time. After his roar subsided, Jake panted above him and slowly pulled out of Chris.

"Holy fuck." Chris panted as he was finally able to roll over and face Jake.

"Mmm. That was nice." Jake's paw gripped Chris' softening cock, sliding up the shaft slick with his seed, and brought the paw to his mouth, licking it clean. "Seems like you enjoyed it, too. I've never seen someone get off without being touched like that."

"Neither have I." Chris admitted. He reached up and pulled the tiger down, kissing him deeply as their bodies rubbed together. Even being spent as he was, the feel of the tiger's bare fur against his was almost intoxicating. "I've never been fucked that hard before, either."

"Sorry. I was kinda in a mood." Jake smiled sheepishly.

"I didn't say I was complaining." Chris smiled back. "I just hope I can still walk tomorrow."

Jake chuckled. "Ya know I was surprised you wanted to get fucked at all. I totally pegged you for a top."

Chris shrugged. "I'm a switch, but I don't think I've ever been that... submissive... I guess I was in a mood, too."

"Hmm." Jake trailed a paw down Chris' arm. "I guess we both switched roles today. I'm usually submissive."

Chris chuckled. "Well, if you can get me off paws-free like that every time, I might reevaluate being a dom."

"What makes you think there'll be more times?" Jake put on that teasing act again.

"Oh, I'm gonna get more of you if I have to tie you up in an abandoned warehouse somewhere." Chris smiled.

The tiger winked back. "Kinky."

"Seriously, though. I do really like you." He licked the tiger's nose.

"Yeah, me too. Come on, let's get cleaned up."

Jake lounged on his couch and let the sounds of the TV wash over him. He was lost in thought, ignoring whatever was on. He thought about the night before with Chris. As much as it felt right at the time, he couldn't help but feel like a slut now. He'd never slept with anyone on the first date before - not that he'd had many dates, but still. He tried to think of who he could talk to about it. Most of his friends from high school would probably just laugh and congratulate him, and he had been lacking in the making friends department in college. That left one other possibility. He fished his phone out of his pocket and scrolled to the number. He hesitated, wondering if it was a good idea, and hit the call button anyway.

"Hello?" The call was answered after the second ring, the sound of the old wolf's voice already working to comfort him. Jake always knew he could talk to him when he had problems.

"Hey dad."

"Jake! How's it going? Liking college so far?"

"Yeah, it's fine. How are you and dad?"

"Ah, it's been so great not having to clean up your crap every day. It's like a vacation." The wolf chuckled.

"Funny. You know you miss me."

"Of course, but it's still nice." Jake could almost see the smile on his dad's face.

"So I have a question..."

"I have an answer."

"Um... How long did you know dad before you slept with him?"

Silence lingered for a moment after his question. No doubt it shocked his dad. "Wow. That's quite the question. You already breaking hearts over there?"

"I'm just... I don't know. Not really having regrets, but kinda. How long?"

"You really want to know about your parents' sex life?"

"No... I just want to know I'm not screwing up."

"Aw, I doubt you're screwing anything up. Okay, I'll tell you. It was our first date. We had known each other for a week, but only for an hour or two each week."

"Did you regret it afterward?" Jake felt somewhat better, knowing his dads did pretty much the same thing, and they worked out.

"Not at all. Woke up with your dad in my arms and knew instantly that he was the one. So I gather that you had a date and it got rowdy. Am I right?"

"Yeah. The thing is, though, I feel kinda like a slut. I mean, he took me to a really expensive restaurant, and then I end up sleeping with him. It just seems like that kind of quid pro quo stuff that happens a lot. Like, did he expect me to put out and that's why he took me there? But I also really like him, and he said he liked me, so... I don't know; I'm just confused. It's going really fast."

"So you're worried that you're going too fast to build an actual relationship with him?"

"Yeah, pretty much."

"Son, if he says he likes you and he means more than just sex, then I'd take it at face value. Give it a shot and see what happens. It may work, it may not, but you won't know if you don't go for it. So how did you meet him?"

"He's in one of my classes. He started coming on to me until I finally caved and agreed to go on a date. At first it seemed like he just wanted to get laid, but I don't know now. Maybe he changed his mind."

"He a freshman, too?"

"No, he's a junior."

"Ah, going for the older ones, eh? He could have changed his mind, you know. The very first time I saw your dad, I thought he was fuckable, but I didn't think I'd want to date him at all."

"Oh my God, you did not just refer to dad as 'fuckable.'" Jake rubbed his temples in disbelief.

"It seems I did, and now he's giving me the glare of death. Love you, honey." His dad's voice grew distant at that last part, and Jake was sure it was meant for his other dad.

"Please, dad, could you not use that terminology at all? Much less when talking about dad?"

His dad chuckled. "Okay, so how about 'penetrate-able,' or 'suck-able,' or 'I want to put my cock inside him and his in-'" His dad was thankfully cut off by what sounded like the two fighting over the phone. His dad had always been a bit lewd, and always liked to embarrass him, even on the phone it seemed.

"Hey Jake." His other dad's voice came through. He was surprised the badger managed to get it away from the much larger wolf.

"Hey dad." Jake chuckled.

"Don't listen to him, okay? We don't have sex at all. At least not anymo-ah!" The old badger on the other end began to breathe heavily. Jake could imagine what was going on, even though he really didn't want to.

"Okay... Well... I'm going to hang up now..."

"Oh-ah!-okay."

Jake ended the call quickly, not at all intent on listening to his dads have sex. They may have grown old, but it seemed that growing up was optional. As much as he didn't want to think about what was going on with them at the moment, he couldn't help but think about how he wanted to have a relationship like that. He hoped he could find a guy he could be immature with forever.

That brought his mind back to the bull. He wondered if he could see Chris as his boyfriend. It was surprisingly easy. Sure, he wouldn't have thought about dating the cocky football player that approached him at first, but when that front disappeared from the bull, he could see the nice guy he didn't show others. Not to mention the sex was great. He resolved to keep seeing Chris, and find out where it went.

"God, I can't believe the semester is already over." Chris said as the plane took off. It was a short flight to Liston, and neither he nor Jake wanted to make the drive.

"I know. It went by so quickly. I feel good about my classes, though." The tiger smiled back at him.

"Me too. I feel better about some other things that happened this semester, though." He smiled warmly back at Jake. It almost felt foreign to Chris, having a steady boyfriend for so long. It was amazing, though, as well as perfectly timed. Chris' apartment lease had ended right before winter break, and they had decided that they would move in together after the break. They had just finished moving all of Chris' things into Jake's apartment the other day. Now came the real test - meeting the parents. It was handy that they were both from the same city, so that was going in their favor. He just hoped he could leave a good impression on Jake's dads.

Jake grabbed his paw. "Yeah. It's been an eventful one."

Chris chuckled. "I'll say. I love you, hon." He leaned into the tiger, nuzzling his shoulder. That was another thing that Chris was amazed by. He'd always thought he'd be at least in his thirties before he found someone he would say that to. It was always a far off fantasy - the boyfriend, the 'I love you,' the shared life - but here it was. He was living it.

"Mmm. Love you too." Jake nuzzled back. "So what did your dad say when you told him you were going to stay with me at my dads' the whole time?"

"He just laughed, saying it'd be a nice break for him." They had only reached a decision on whose house to stay at by flipping a coin. Next trip they would stay at Chris' dad's place. Hopefully there would be another one.

"Sounds just like what my dads would say. They'll probably get along great with your dad." Jake chuckled.

"Hope so, 'cause I'm not giving you up even if they hated each other."

"Aw, sounds like the big tough bull is in love." Jake extended the last word mockingly.

"Oh, shut up. You know very well that I am, and I know you are too."

"Yes, but I'm not the big tough guy of the relationship."

"Coulda fooled me with how you can get in bed." Chris chuckled.

"Well, you know, sometimes the tough guys need to be brought down a peg or two."

Chris snorted. "More like being shoved on a peg. I swear, I'm more sore and worn out after you topping than after an entire football game."

"Like you're any gentler."

"Oh, come on! I've taken it slow with you plenty of times. Also, I don't have razor-sharp teeth that bite into your neck."

"What about the time you were going at me so hard that you broke the bed frame and left me sore for a week?" The tiger laughed.

"One time. Compared to how many times you left me feeling nearly paralyzed?"

"If you wanted me to slow down, you would say something. Face it. You love it."

Chris grunted. "Fine. You win."

Jake chuckled. "Man, it reminds me of my dads..."

"Um... How?" Chris raised his eyebrow.

"Well... Not to get too detailed, but my dad Grant, the badger, is extremely thick. I saw it once or twice when I was young and walked in on them. They were always bad about locking doors. Anyway, that shit is scary thick, and I can tell every time dad Brian bottoms. He limps around all day after. It just kinda reminds me of how they are. You obviously like it, but you complain when it hurts."

"Wow. I now know much more about your dads than I wanted."

Jake shrugged. "We're pretty open about sex in my family. Well... Not open, open. But it's not a taboo to talk about it. I've told them quite a lot of how you are in bed, too."

"Oh, God. You didn't tell them about me breaking the bed, did you?"

"The day after." Jake laughed. "And the time when I was fucking you so hard that you passed out mid-orgasm."

"Ugh..." Chris put a paw over his forehead. "I'll never be able to look them in the eyes."

Jake laughed louder. "Oh, come on. Honestly with the first one, they were actually impressed. The second one they laughed at."

Chris groaned. He had already thought it was going to be hard not feeling awkward when they would only figure that he'd had sex with Jake because they were boyfriends and that's what boyfriends do. Now he was going to have to face them when they knew exactly what he had been doing to their son.

The rest of the short flight was spent in relative silence until they landed. Chris' nerves started to build as the moment of meeting his boyfriend's parents grew closer. He really wanted to make a good impression. Jake had assured him that they'd like him, but there was still that nagging doubt in his head. Once the pilot signaled that cell phones could be turned on, Jake fished his out of his pocket and sent a text to his dads to let them know they had landed.

"They're at the baggage claim." He said after his phone beeped. "You ready?"

"As I'll ever be, I guess." Chris shrugged.

"Relax, hon. It'll be fine." Jake rubbed Chris' back as he reached up to grab their carry-ons.

They made their way through the slowly moving line to get out of the plane, and once they stepped into the terminal, Jake took off at a fairly fast pace. The tiger had been excited to see his parents again. He had told Chris that this was the longest he had ever been away from them. He followed the tiger, smiling at his back, as they wound their way through the airport to the baggage claim. Jake stopped when they arrived, looking around.

"There they are." He said, nodding toward a badger and a wolf standing together.

As they approached, Chris could tell that the wolf had been the football player. He was still quite muscular for his age. The badger looked a bit pudgier, so it was easy to tell just by looking at them which was which. They both had big smiles on their faces, and Jake ran up to hug them. Chris moved a bit more slowly, both not wanting to intrude on the family reunion and stalling the first impression he had to make. Inevitably, however, he made it to the couple shortly after the hugging was done.

"Dad, dad, this is Chris." Jake introduced him. "Chris, this is my dad Brian and my dad Grant."

"Pleased to meet you finally, son." The wolf, Brian, reached out his paw and shook Chris' firmly.

"Likewise, sir." Chris returned the firm grip.

"Oh, come on. I hate being called 'sir.' Call me Brian." The wolf was still smiling, which seemed a good sign to Chris.

"And call me Grant." The badger reached out his paw soon after Chris was done shaking the wolf's. They seemed very nice according to Chris' 'sense' of people, and he hoped it wasn't just a polite front.

"Come on, let's get your bags and head home. I need to start dinner." The badger said, ushering Chris and Jake forward closer to the baggage claim.

"He seems nice." Grant said as Brian walked in the kitchen.

"Yeah, he does. Looks like Jake picked a good one. They're up in his room unpacking now." The wolf walked up to him and hugged Grant from behind, rubbing his sides.

"It's different cooking for a vegetarian, I have to say. Haven't done this in a while. You know, it's kind of odd that Jake is dating a football player. I thought he was done with all that."

Brian shrugged. "Well he's definitely not thinking about playing again. Maybe it just runs in the family."

Grant chuckled. "I might take that as a valid reason if he was blood related, but if you don't remember, a wolf and a badger does not a tiger make. Plus, neither of us has a vagina. I've checked."

"Ass." Brian laughed. "We raised him. He's bound to become somewhat similar to us. Blood doesn't enter into it."

"I know." Grant smiled. "I'm just messing with ya. The other odd thing is he seems to look a lot like-"

"Yeah, I know." Brian interrupted, obviously not wanting to hear the name. "He's a bull, though. I doubt any of us can look at a bull and not see him. Speaking of, where's Derron?"

As if mentioning the other Badger was a summons, the door to the kitchen opened and Derron walked through. He was wearing his suit, which gave away that he had just come back from work.

"Sorry I'm late. Had to stay late at work."

"It's okay." Grant smiled. "They're up in his room. I know he'll want to see you. Chris' father should be coming over soon, too, so you might want to go ahead and change."

"Yes, mother." The badger laughed as he dodged the kitchen towel Grant threw at him and ran out of the kitchen. Grant turned to see that Brian was laughing, too.

"And what's so funny?" Grant put his paws on his hips, glaring at the wolf.

"Oh, you of course." Brian walked up, looping his arms through Grant's, and kissed him deeply.

"Ugh. How am I supposed to stay mad at you when you kiss me like that?" Brian's kisses always seemed to take Grant off his feet, even after so many years.

"Why do you think I kiss you so often?" Brian smiled.

"You're evil." Grant glared at the wolf.

"Maybe a little." He chuckled. "I'll quit distracting you from dinner." He leaned in for another quick kiss before going out to the den.

Grant was just about to call everyone down to start getting their plates when the doorbell rang. He walked out to the front door and was met by Brian. He smiled at the wolf before turning to the door. Grant took a breath and put on his welcoming smile as he opened it. His smile faded instantly.

"Oh God." Trent's eyes went wide, shifting between Grant and Brian.

"You're..." Brain stammered. "You're Chris' dad?"

Grant could hear the other three approach from behind. "Hey, is that-"

Grant turned to see Derron stopped in his tracks, eyes as wide as saucers. He turned back to Trent, whose shocked face seemed even more... shocked.

"Um, dad?" Chris made his way slowly to the door. "What's going on?"

The older bull snapped out of his shocked stare and looked at his son. "I... I can't be here." He quickly turned and walked away.

"What the hell, dad?" Chris ran out after him.

"Shit." Grant mumbled. After so many years, after trying so hard to forget that whole section of their life, that bull walked right into their lives again. That long-forgotten feeling of guilt washed over Grant. Just seeing Trent again brought it all back. But he wasn't the one he was worried about. He turned to Derron, who still had that shocked look on his face, his eyes beginning to tear up. The badger turned and walked up the stairs, presumably to his room.

"Was that...?" Jake was looking over to them, confusion and slow realization written plainly on his face. "Was that Uncle Derron's ex?"

Grant nodded. "Yeah. That was Trent."

Chris walked back through the door. "My dad's not coming back." He looked over at Jake. "He said I could stay, but he still didn't tell me what all this is about."

"I'll tell you." Jake motioned to the bull.

"After dinner." Grant interrupted. "Let's at least eat something."

Chris moved himself closer to the tiger, pressing himself against Jake's back and rear. They were nude, but not really in the mood after everything. They had a really nice dinner with his dads - his uncle didn't join them - but there was no conversation. It's like whatever happened with Chris' dad put a damper on the whole day. Jake's dads decided to retire early, and luckily there was a TV in Jake's room. He ran his paw tenderly over the tiger's stomach as he watched the TV.

"So... I'm assuming something happened between my dad and your uncle."

"Yeah." Jake pressed back into him.

"You gonna tell me?"

Jake shifted around to face Chris. "Well... Uncle Derron and your dad were married a long time ago."

Chris couldn't hide his shock. He knew it was something, but that never entered his thoughts. "Married? He never told me about anyone before mom."

"Yeah, well... Uncle Derron told me the story a while ago when I started dating guys. It was his 'be careful' speech, I guess. They apparently grew up together, falling in love and whatnot. They were really good friends with my dads when they first started dating. Basically, one night my dad, Grant, and Uncle Derron got really drunk while waiting for Dad Brian and your dad to come home, and ended up sleeping together."

"What? Your dad and uncle?" Chris said incredulously.

"They're not really brothers." Jake explained. "Uncle Derron and your dad were friends of Dad Brian before they met Dad Grant. Anyway, my dad could forgive them, but yours... He divorced Uncle Derron. The way my uncle tells it, he could never find anyone that he liked even a fraction as much as your dad. Apparently he just could never move on."

Chris thought about it. "It had to have been before I was born, which makes it over twenty-one years. That's... a long time to hold on to someone."

Jake shrugged. "I don't know. It seemed to have hurt Uncle Derron pretty badly."

Chris sighed, wondering why his father never mentioned any of this. He remembered the talks he'd had with the older bull, and something tickled his thoughts. "Wait... I remember when I came out my dad said that he didn't come out until right before he was drafted. You just said they were together before they met your dads."

"Oh, yeah. Uncle Derron talks about that sometimes, too. Your dad wasn't out when they started dating, but my uncle was. Apparently he went back in the closet to make your dad comfortable. I dated a guy in high school that wasn't out, and he talked about how hard it was for him."

"Wow... That's... I never knew my dad to be that much of a dick."

"Huh?" The tiger looked puzzled.

"Well, your uncle goes back in the closet just to be with my dad, and after one drunken mistake, my dad divorces him? That seems a bit dick-ish."

"I'm sure he had his reasons."

"Hmm... Do you think your dads would let me borrow a car? I want to talk to my dad about this."

"They might let me borrow one. I can drive you."

"Tomorrow sound good?"

"Yeah, that should work." Jake turned back around, pressing his back into Chris' chest.

Chris pulled the tiger close, draping his arm over him. "Hey, I meant what I said on the plane. I don't care if my dad hates your family. I love you and I'm not leaving you."

"I love you, too."

Chris nuzzled against Jake's neck, holding him close, relishing the contact between their bodies. He wasn't lying at all. He loved Jake immensely, and it would take much more than his dad to change that.

Chris woke to Jake sitting on the bed next to him, rubbing his chest as he often did. The tiger was already dressed.

"Morning sleepyhead." Jake smiled.

"Mmph." Chris rolled away, trying to pull the sheets over him. He was definitely not a morning person, as opposed to Jake. The sheets were pulled off of him, despite his efforts, and his bare body was exposed to the cool morning air. He flopped back over, giving the tiger a cold glare.

"Come on, my dads lent me the car." Jake leaned over and kissed Chris, simultaneously grabbing his cock - erect in its typical morning position - sending a shockwave through him.

"Okay, okay!" The tiger was too good at waking him up. He knew exactly how to grab him. He didn't figure sex was in the cards right now, but every time Jake grabbed his shaft, it sent a shock through him, waking him instantly, and the tiger knew it.

"Get dressed, stud."

"What? You're just gonna leave me hanging like that? Tease."

"Mmm. It's what I do best. Drive bulls insane." The tiger smiled.

"Got that right. I oughta pin you down and fuck you right now. You're lucky I don't have the energy yet."

"I love it when you talk romantic." He winked, causing Chris to roll his eyes.

Jake started to stand from the bed, but Chris grabbed the tiger's tail, pulling him on top of Chris. He pulled Jake into a deep, lingering kiss - one that he knew would get the tiger horny. He wasn't without his teasing abilities, either.

"I hate you so much." Jake said as they parted. Chris ran his paw up the tiger's leg toward his crotch, feeling the half-formed erection in his pants.

"Aw, you know you love me." Chris smiled.

Jake glared back. "God knows why. Get dressed." He gave Chris' cock a quick squeeze before quickly standing away from the bed, deftly moving his tail out of his reach.

Chris sighed and got out of the bed. He got dressed slowly, giving the watching tiger a show. He could see Jake trying to look away, but his eyes always returned to Chris.

He got dressed quickly, and followed the tiger out to the door, greeting Jake's dads on the way out. They got in the car, and once his brain started to wake up, Chris could finally gather his thoughts. He had to find out his dad's side of the story, at least. It didn't make sense to him, why one act of drunken indiscretion could ruin a marriage. Maybe if it happened more than once, but not just one.

"I won't do that to you, you know." The words came out of Chris' mouth unbidden.

"Hm? Do what?" The tiger glanced at him quizzically.

"Leave you for a drunken mistake." Chris elaborated. He didn't mean to have this conversation, but it just happened.

"Oh, hon." The tiger smiled warmly. "As much as we'd like it to, logical thinking doesn't always enter into a relationship. I'm sure you think that now, but you can't know how you'd feel if it happened."

"I guess." Chris sighed. He had to hand it to the tiger; he was probably right. It just didn't feel right. "It's just... I don't know... It doesn't seem right to do that to someone. I'm not saying your uncle didn't mess up, but you're supposed to forgive in a relationship, right?"

Jake shrugged. "Well, yeah, but the act of forgiving comes hard to some, I guess. I don't know your dad, but maybe it's just hard for him."

Chris shook his head. "I don't know. It never seemed like it. Turn in here." He pointed out his dad's driveway as they pulled up. He took a deep breath.

"I'll stay in the car, hon. This should be between just the two of you." Jake smiled at him.

"Thanks." Chris leaned in and gave the tiger a quick kiss. "Love you."

"Love you too."

Chris smiled back at the tiger before getting out of the car. He walked up to the door to the house, and tested the door handle. It was unlocked. He opened it, knocking as he did to warn his dad.

"Dad?" He called, looking around as he entered the kitchen.

"In here." The deep voice coming out of the den seemed almost cold.

Chris walked in and found his father sitting on the couch. He was shirtless, and looked a bit disheveled, as if he either didn't sleep or just woke up. He noticed the bottles of alcohol out on the coffee table, so he figured it was the latter. "You okay?"

The older bull looked at him, the expression on his face hard as if challenging him to find a reason he wouldn't be okay. After a second, the expression softened, and he nodded. "Yeah. I'm guessing you've been filled in?"

Chris nodded. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I'm your father. You don't need to know my troubles." The bull looked away from Chris, his short ears flicking back as he noticed the bottles on the table.

Chris sat on the couch next to his dad. "Why did you do it?"

The older bull looked back at him shocked. "What do you mean? He cheated on me!" He bellowed. "With my friend!"

"I know. I'm not saying it was right of him, but come on, he was drunk."

"Doesn't excuse anything."

"Maybe not, but you couldn't have forgiven him just once?"

His dad looked at him darkly. "You have no idea how it feels," he growled "to have the only thing you love betray you."

"You're right. I don't. But Derron did, didn't he?"

That did it. The bulls face was drained of its anger. His eyes went wide, his ears went back. "I..."

"I know the whole story, dad. I know how you kept him in the closet."

"You have it easier these days, son."

"So? Still doesn't excuse anything." The older bull looked taken aback at his own words being turned against him. His father looked away again.

"Goddammit." He sighed. "He was always a better person than me. It just... It hurt too much. I wanted to hate him so much."

"Wanted to?" Chris raised his eyebrow.

The old bull nodded. "I didn't really, but I wanted to. I forced myself to, since he hurt me so bad. I felt I should be done with males. I made it a point to get with the first female I..." He cut off, eyes shifting toward Chris, then back quickly.

Chris' eyes went wide as he pieced it together. "My mom was a rebound?"

His dad nodded. "That's why she left. She could sense it, I guess. I was still in love with Derron." He chuckled ruefully. "I could never get over that badger."

"So... You forgave him?"

"I guess I forgave him the moment it happened. I just didn't know it at the time, or didn't want to believe it. By the time I did... Well, the damage had been done."

"Then why did you storm off yesterday?"

The bull shook his head. "That wasn't because of him. That was because of me. I ended up hurting him more than he ever hurt me. I can't bring myself to face that. It's an old wound, and I didn't want to open it up after so long, for me or for him. It's a long time to hold on to someone, but I could never move on. I'm sure he has by now."

Chris looked down as silence filled the air. "I should probably go. I just wanted to find out your story."

The older bull reached out to his shoulder. "You can stay for a bit if you want. I can make up some lunch."

Chris shook his head. "Jake is out in the car waiting for me. Maybe tomorrow? You could meet Jake."

His dad nodded. "I would like to meet him. Not in this state though." He looked himself over, seeming embarrassed.

Chris got up from the couch. "We'll see you tomorrow then. Love you, dad."

"Love you too, son. Sorry about all this."

Chris waved off the apology. "It's okay. Oh, just one more thing. Derron never moved on, either." He turned to the door, leaving his father sitting there stunned.

Brian yawned as he sprawled out on the couch. Jake and Chris had decided to spend some time in Jake's room - no doubt in Brian's mind what they were doing - and Grant had taken the pause in familial gathering to work on his lectures for the next semester, leaving Brian to himself for a bit. Derron still hadn't shown himself outside of grabbing food, which made him worry some. The sudden appearance of Trent seemed to hit the badger hard. He felt sorry for Derron, but decided to leave him alone for now. He turned his attentions back to the TV, when the doorbell rang. Wondering who it could be, Brian grunted as he hefted himself out of his comfortable position to answer the door. He opened the door to reveal Trent looking sheepish.

He instantly became annoyed. He walked out of the door, closing it behind him so no one else could hear them. "Trent, what the hell?"

The bull took a breath. "I came to talk to Derron."

"What?" He started to grow angry. "Just what are you playing at? Derron's been cooped up in his room since seeing you. He won't talk to anyone. I'm not going to let you hurt him anymore than he is already."

Trent sighed. "Brian, please."

"No! I don't know what you could possibly want to say or do to him that you haven't already, so just go!"

"I'm not... I'm here to apologize!"

Brian raised an eyebrow at the bull. Apologize? He forced himself to calm down. "Look, Trent, he's been torn up about you for the past twenty-some-odd years. I... I can respect trying to apologize and patch things up, but I don't think it'd be a good idea. Being friends might hurt him even more. As much as I do miss the old days when you were around - and I do, honestly - I don't want to see him hurt any more. You can understand that, right?"

The bull looked down. "I don't... want to be friends. I want him back."

Brian's eyes went wide. "Woah, woah, woah. You're the one who divorced him, if you recall."

"Yeah." Trent nodded. "But he's not the only one who's been torn up all these years."

"Then why didn't you try earlier? Why wait so long?"

Trent sighed again. "I couldn't face it. Couldn't face my mistake. I figured you all hated me, and after a while figured he'd moved on. Like you said, being friends would hurt more. I didn't want to have to stand by while the love I gave up was with someone else. It wasn't until Chris talked to me that I learned otherwise."

Brian considered what the bull was saying. He seemed genuine, which made it all the more confusing. He thought about Derron, and about all the years since the divorce. The badger always had a happy face on, but he could always see past that. If he could be truly happy again... But would it work out that way? He sighed and decided it was at least worth a shot.

"Fine. I'll go let him know you're here."

Derron held the rings on his necklace in his paw. Only Brian and Grant knew they were there, having always tucked them under his shirt. They were a reminder of his past. The rings he exchanged with the love of his life. The love that haunted his life again. Brian had always told him that he was holding on too hard, but he didn't know what it was like. He knew that the wolf and Grant would never divorce. Of course, he thought that about him and Trent, too, and look what happened. He could never let go. No matter how hard he tried, the love stayed. What was wrong with him?

He was broken out of his thoughts when someone knocked on his door. "Come in."

The door opened to admit Brian. "You alright?" The wolf looked at him sympathetically.

Derron nodded. "Yeah, I'll be fine." He doubted he looked it, though. He sat in a rather disheveled tank top and shorts, and he had to force himself to let go of the rings in his paw.

Brian gave him a tight smile. "Well, someone wants to see you. Just... hear him out, ok?"

The wolf moved to the side, and the large form of a bull took his place. Trent looked at Derron, and his eyes went wide, staring at his chest. "Are those...?"

Great. The one person who should probably never know he wore their wedding rings around his neck was staring at them. Derron just nodded in response, not trusting himself to speak.

"Look, Derron..." He noticed the wolf retreating behind the bull, leaving them alone. "I wanted to talk to you. To apologize."

Derron felt as if the bull had punched him in the chest. "Apologize?"

Trent nodded. He stepped into the room, closing the door behind him. "For everything. For not forgiving you, not trusting you, not being what I should have been for you. For leaving you."

Derron stared at the bull wide-eyed. He couldn't believe this was happening. He didn't know what to say, what to do. He had to spend all his thought and focus on not breaking down.

"I know it might be too late for you to forgive me." The bull went on after no response from Derron. "Believe me when I say that leaving you is the biggest regret I have in my life. I just... When it happened, I was so mad. I wanted to hate you. I knew that's what I should have felt. Truthfully I never did. I left because that's what I thought I had to do. It... really doesn't make sense now, but it did then. Ever since then... I've never gotten over you. Once I realized what I did, I figured the damage was done. I figured you'd hate me for a bit, then move on easily. You could have had any guy you wanted, and I knew that. I figured I'd just leave it alone, and not bring all this drama back. It wasn't until Chris told me everything that I knew I'd made another horrible mistake." Trent looked at Derron directly in the eyes, and he could see that the bull was tearing up. "Derron, I love you. I never stopped, even after all these years."

Derron couldn't hold it back anymore. He exploded into tears. All the pain, all the hurt over the years, and now he finds out the bull still loves him? He should hate Trent for dragging this out, hate him for his mistakes, but he couldn't. The bull rushed over to him, putting an arm around him and holding him as he cried - as both of them cried. It was like everything came pouring out at once.

They sat like that for a minute, until their sobs quieted. He looked up at the bull, staring into his eyes as his vision cleared. At that moment, he didn't have to ask. He knew Trent had been genuine. He wondered for a moment if it would be possible to pick up where they left off. No, too much had happened for that. Too much to ignore. But they could try again. He launched his muzzle to the bull's, kissing him with all the fervor of their youth. Kissing him again after all these years was electric, sending pulses throughout his body.

Trent kissed back just as deeply. The bull ran his paws up Derron's shirt, pressing hard into his fur. As his shirt lifted, he felt a worrisome pang of regret that he didn't keep up his fitness. Unlike Brian, he'd grown quite soft over the years, and looked more akin to Grant now.

"I guess some things have changed..." He said ruefully as Trent lifted off his shirt.

"Oh, please." Trent smiled back. "We're in our fifties. Of course we don't look like we did in our twenties." He rubbed Derron's chest. "And I still think you're as sexy as ever."

The bull moved his paws to take his own shirt off, and Derron could see that while he wasn't nearly as muscular as he was before, he was still quite well built. "You kept the muscles." He pointed out.

"I haven't been in an office for thirty years." He closed the distance between them, kissing Derron deeply and pressing their bodies together. "I'm serious. I still think you're gorgeous. I don't care how old you get."

Words failed Derron as the bull reached for his groin. Trent hastily slid Derron's shorts down, revealing his mostly erect cock. The bull gripped it, stroking him slowly as Derron moaned. It'd been so long since he'd been with anyone, but Trent... he'd always had a way with him. The bull unbuttoned his pants and slid them down, his cock just how Derron remembered it. He reached over to the pink erection, and they stroked each other for what seemed like hours. They explored each other's bodies, reacquainting themselves after so many years apart.

Trent broke the rhythm first, repositioning himself to lay down on the bed and bring his muzzle into Derron's groin. Derron moaned as Trent licked up his shaft before taking him into his mouth. Oh, the things that bull did with his mouth. He laid down parallel to Trent as the bull continued his attentions and brought the old familiar shaft to his muzzle, teasing it with his tongue like he used to. Trent moaned around his cock at each motion, telling him that his techniques still drove him crazy. As they sucked each other off, a wave of memories washed over Derron. He remembered all the times they'd done this before. He remembered the taste of his longtime lover. It seemed that, despite all the changes, there were more things that stayed the same. His body reacted to his memories, pushing him further and faster. The fact that he was finally with the bull again after over twenty years pushed him over the edge. He growled around the cock in his mouth as he came, pumping his seed into the waiting mouth. Trent eagerly swallowed, licking every remnant as if he'd been starving for it. Before Trent finished his licking, he let out a loud moan and thrust hard into Derron's mouth, giving him his own turn at swallowing, gulping down the hot seed just as eagerly.

They laid there, panting, as they came down. They continued to rub their paws through each other's body tenderly. Trent flipped around on the bed, bringing himself face-to-face with Derron, and smiled. They pressed against each other as Trent held him, just like he'd held him so long ago.

"I've been waiting for this for so long." Derron said into the bull's shoulder.

"Me, too. Way too long." The bull squeezed him tightly.

Derron nuzzled against Trent, finally feeling something he hadn't felt in over twenty years...

He felt content.
