Chapter 2: New Beginnings Part 3

"Wait, what did you say; demon?" I was completely freaked. I was standing basically in hell with a demon that thinks I'm Pure. That looks like it could kill me just by looking at me.

"Hahaha, I'm the beast that you used to kill all those wolves remember?"

"I-I don't"

"DON'T FUCKING LIE TO ME I KNOW YOU REMEMBER, I CAN SEE IT AND I'M NOT AFRAID TO SHOW YOU!

"N-no please I can't. But who the fuck are you?"

"I'm you. The shadow side"

"And how can I get rid of you?"

"Hahaha, You could die. But that would make the Starlight, your family legacy end."

"What are you talking about I'm the only-"I-I was a Starlight? But Pure and I are the only ones right?"

"You're not the only one. your father had me too."He was probably just trying to get into my head.

"What? My dad was the most peaceful wolf I've ever known there's no way he could have something like you inside of him."

"He did he just gave me to you. You see I can't live in two separate mutts so when you were born your dad infused me into you. That's why you have those makes on your body. Without them you would be just a normal grey pup."

"So what happens if you're released?" He looked like was a bit interested in my question.

"This."Just then he ran towards me and-and ate me.

As he swallowed me I saw what happened during my fight with Jeff. I saw Meg shouting at us. And-and then I had a heart-attack. My eyes went blue and I howled, I-I hit Meg out of way I walked to a tree and bit the tree in rage. The tree practically exploded there was wood flying everywhere. I fell to the ground and my back started to ripple like water and wings tore out of mt flesh, they may have been angle wings but it looked demonic at the view of it. The makings on my fur formed a pattern that looked like a pentagram around my eye I was being ripped apart by the demon inside me. All I cold do was watch as I went from wolf to demon in forty seconds flat. When the transformation was complete I looked at Jeff, my eyes were still glowing blue I limped toward him. I saw the fear in his eyes he was having a nightmare that he couldn't wake up from. From the look I had it seemed like was gonna kill him. I was growling and snarling at him. Then I looked at Meg and said,"H-help me"I sounded like I was a zombie. And I ran towards the woods and I flew away. When I landed I-I ripped the wings off my back and my entire body was covered in blue blood and then I passed out and the blood turned normal again.

"Are you happy now, you know what happened."Is this guy serious how could I be happy if I just saw myself almost kill my best friend."Now get back to your pathetic reality."

I woke up and I was in the same spot but it was more... normal. The wolf mountain was still there so that kinda creeped me out.I looked at the sun to be sure I would get back to the pack by sundown but it was already late afternoon.So I just fell asleep and then get back to the pack and figure out how long I was out.

All I could see in my dreams was me killing Jeff. So I didn't bother trying to sleep after that. Then I had nothing to lose by just heading to pack while I was awake.I went South-West to the pride to explain to Alex what happened. A few hours later I was stopped by a lioness.

"Hult who's there?" The lioness called out

"Just a wolf passing through m'am."

"Very well continue. Hey where's your pack?"

"Behind you."

"What you're part of hypre?"

"Yea" And with that I walked past her.

Soon I was at Alex den but It was only midnight. So I just stood outside the den waiting.

The next morning I was laying out side and I heard Alex yawn as he woke up. I got up and walked into the den.

"Uh Alex?"I was upset I went demon right in front of his eyes and then bolted he probably hates me for that.

"FUCKJESUSCHRIST!" He screamed out and woke up Ian.

"WHATWHATWHAT!?!?" Ian was up and shit scarred.

"Zak what the fuck?"Then he ran and hugged me. "I thought you were dead."

"I was, Alex look I'm sorry I didn't mean to...change."

"What was that?"

"Me."

"Zak that wasn't you that was like a-a demon."

"Exactly, it was mine.It's the Starlight demon the creature that can kill packs within a heartbeat."

"Oh so how do you control it?"

"I can't."

"Yes you can you never killed Jeff or Meg."

"But I don't know how that happened. So what happened afterward."

"We all spent the rest of the day tracking you but couldn't find you, where were you?"

"I was at the mountain shaped like a wolf."

"Uh Zak there's no mountain like that."

"Yes there is it's North-east from here."

"Zak we looked for like five hours in all directions and we couldn't find you."

"Oh. How-how long was I gone?"

"About two days."

"Shit, i need to get to Meg."

"She should be with Jeff."

"Thanks"With that I was gone, I ran to the pack I couldn't stop I need to let Meg know I'm alive.

When I got to Meg's den I saw Jeff standing outside, I-I had to apologize to him. How could I confront him I-I almost killed him, if I just show up he could freak out and attack or... worst run and never see me again.

"*Sigh* Zak where the hell are you?" Jeff was worried. but why would he want to see me?

I slowly an out of hiding to see how he'd react."Uh hey Jeff, look I'm sorry about what happened I lost control and that thing came out and-"

He ran over and hugged me, "It getting worse isn't it?"

"Yea like I can't help but be demonic."

"Meg's inside if you y'know"

"Thanks is she okay?"

"All she does is stare at the wall with a blank look on her face."

"Oh man that's bad."

I went in and Jeff was right, all Meg was doing was looking a the wall like she was traumatized.

"Uh Meg I-I'm sorry, I was angry and I blacked out and that thing came out and well I-I can't control myself when I'm like that."I was scarred if she was traumatized by that she'll flip if she saw what it's capable of.

Meg slowly moved her head to face me and she was in tears at least that's all she was."Wha-what was that thing?"

"It was a demon, well for better explanation it was mine."

"What? But you're perfect."

"No way in hell am I perfect."

"But what happened to you after that 'demon' came out"

"I woke up in a pool of blood near a mountain shaped like a wolf. Then I heard the demon laugh and the mountain came to live and he kept on asking if I remembered him. But after awhile he-he swallowed me and I saw what I did to Jeff, then I woke up."I was nearly in tears.

"Zak are you okay what happened wasn't natural."

"It was to me it's the only natural thing I know. Meg to change the subject I-I pick you I-I love you more than I could ever love Alex and I think the whole whole bi thing was a phase."

"Huh well at least one good thing came from this"

"Ha yea. I-I need to tell Alex, I can't keep him in the dark and leave again."

"Yea, can I come with you?"

"Yea if you want."

As we were getting closer to the den I saw Lizz and Dylan. I had to tell them I made my decision. As I walked closer to them I saw they had a bit of fear in their eyes.

"Lizz, I-I'm sorry I can't keep my promise." I then saw the look of hate and I didn't know how to react so I just stood there.

"You-you can't or won't?!"

"I-I won't, I love Meg too much and plus-"

"STOP JUST STOP ZAK, IF YOU FEEL THAT WAY THEN YOU DON'T DESERVE HIS LOVE"

"You're right I don't, but someone will and he will be a lucky guy, but untill then no one deserves his love."

I walked away after that so Lizz wouldn't yell anymore. When we got there I saw Alex with a big smile on his face like he was hopping I would kiss him, but live isn't like that.

"Alex I-I can't be with you, I-I realize that Meg's what I really want and you weren't." His smile just dropped and he looked like he was gonna cry."Look Alex you'll find someone I know It, someone who actually deserves your love."

Alex was crushed he looked like he just saw a ghost. "W-what?"

"I-I'm sorry Alex. Me and the others will leave soon so you don't have to see anymore."

With that we left to find the others. We found then at the den where Jeff and I fought.

"Hey you guys are back." AJ called out.

"Yea sorry it took so long. We had to finalize my decision."

"Well I guess since you're here, you picked Meg."

"Yea, the whole bi thing was a phase."

Jake then interrupted."Well it's a good thing now we know that you're not going hell as a fag."

I gave him another death stare."I may not be bi anymore but I still stand for them; their no different then you or me."

"Okay whatever. So now what?"

"Well now I have a question for all of you."

"What?" Roxanne asked.

"Do you guys want to come with me?"

"To...?"Jeff was confused.

"Well to heaven. It's a lot better with friends and family."

"I'm in." Meg didn't hesitate to answer.

"Same." Said everyone else but Jake.

"Jake?" I asked hopping for an answer.

"Well better then sitting in the pack and doing shit."

"Okay. So guys let's go."

And then we were off to find the one thing that keeps my feet moving.
