The new challenger chuckled to himself as he entered front door of Demon Castle Digitalpotato.

"For something that has such a scary reputation, you' think they at least would make it look scary," he said.

Indeed, Demon Castle Digitalpotato did not look scary. It looked a little more like a gigantic mall of some kind, L-shaped. No twisting turning mazes inside, if anything, there had to have been something incredibly weird inside.

The new challenger appeared to have walked into the entrance hall, obviously. But instead, it just looked like some kind of abandoned mall. There was plenty of garbage on the floor, all sorts of stuff like old wrappers from stuff and other unidentifiable. It seemed to be lit up in this large room, or rather the hallway.

In front of the new challenger is some kind of a table that has stuff on it. Possibly like that game show Knightmare. The challenger flipped his sholder-length black hair out of his eyes, chuckling again as he looked over the table to see his choices, having been an avid watcher of Knightmare not long ago he was chuckling at the similarity

"Next thing I'm going to hear the classic 'sidestep to your left' bit."

Thankfully there wasn't anything like a life force meter warning him to take up the nearest food, as unappetizing and as dangerous as that would be in real life.

Instead it looked to be a selection of random objects. There was a pair of scissors, some kind of a squirt-bottle, and a brush of some kind. In the middle, there was a plaque labeled "Choose what will benefit most when wandering into a dangerous room - leave one, not the two."

"Hm... a classic riddle if ever I saw one..." he said to himself, blue eyes scanning the objects as he did so. "As un-threatening as this place has been so far i'd rather be armed" he decided as he picked up the scissors.

Indeed the scissors could have come handy if there was anything that needed to be cut. Though what else could have been taken, if anything, the riddle did say leave one, not the two.

The challenger continued his way down the L shaped path, constantly looking left and right so as not to be caught off guard, his right hand gripping the scissors almost like a dagger the whole time. The second he walked towards the one curve in the path, it went dark, the light not even obeying the laws of physics. The challenger was kept in complete darkness, left to stumble around. He could still hear things, including people walking around... or something else. Other challengers, maybe?

"Okay, not funny!" the challenger half growled, his voice gaining a deep rumble as it often did when he was getting ticked off. "Who's there?"

There wasn't any real response there, though the challenger could feel something against them. Or someone.... but it was likely something. It felt somewhat plush.

"Hey back off!" he shouted, giving the figure a firm shove with his left hand. "Keep your space, I'm armed!"

The figure seemed to bounce away after the challenger pushed it.

"Okay good, stay away," the challenger said, now fumbling around in the darkness for a wall or something he could use to find his way.

After a little while, the challenger could feel something on a wall... until that was he felt a chain-link gate opening up, like in the store of a mall. Why on earth was Demon Castle Digitalpotato so obsessed with malls?

"This is getting silly now," he said, walking through the now open door. "Hey castle, if your listening, a light would be nice!"

Indeed the light seemed to open up - showcasing an area that seemed to be a little like a large alcove. It must have been a stonewall of some kind. Strange at how empty it was... but there seemed to be strands of something shimmering in the light.

He edged closer to see what these strands were, not close enough to touch them. Upon closer inspection, the challenger could notice that it looked a little like a spider web. But it seemed to smell odd.... latex?

This made him smile somewhat.

"Well, yay for scissors" he chuckled as he used the bladed tool to start cutting the threads.

Good thinking, the scissors easily seemed to cut right through the strands of latex. In fact, the challenger can see after cutting them that the strands are made out of sticky latex - they even stick to the scissors.

Some of the webs start to shake a little as the human cuts through. Through the shaking, he can see a door at the end, possibly either to the next room or a hallway deeper in. He took a small break to remove the strands of latex sticking to the scissors. Wouldn't do any good if they were getting stuck.

With a few strands on the way to the door, the creatures that spun the web made themselves known. It was a rather large looking spider, somewhat tauric with four 'arms' and four 'legs'. But in that stance s/he was coming down from, it looked just like a giant spider.

"Oh, darn you cut up my web." The spider said in a feminine voice. "I have to spin some more... unless you wish to stay."

"No offence, but I have a quest to finish, I'm sorry about your web too, it was kinda in my way" the challenger said calmly, not at all phased by the fact he was talking to a giant spider. He should have gotten used to this given what might have been inside.

"Oh, my bites don't hurt.... and I'm not the kind of spider who eats people. I feed off of auras." The spider hung from a strand of latex, getting closer and closer to the challenger.

"Feeding off auras? That's a new one on me" the challenger said.

"It's called Auralvorism," The spider explained.

"Ah I see," the challenger chuckled lightly "well, I'd love to stay and chat but quests don't finish themselves."

"Oh come on, say, little bites don't hurt." The spider said.

"That's close enough!" he half shouted, "I don't want to hurt you, but I will defend myself!"

The latex spider seemed to give the challenger a small opportunity to advance to the door, mostly afraid of getting stabbed with the scissors. She looked to be chitinous, rather than latex. Maybe she was just a spider that spun latex webs.

He backed up the moment he saw his chance, making sure to keep an eye on the spider at all times.

"That's it, stay there and we won't have to fight," he reassured her.

However the spider did not seem to be listening. She must have been doing something with two of her arms. The challenger just got closer and closer to the door, only for something to fall down right on top of him. It was a latex net - probably made exactly out of her webbing.

Furiously, the challenger tried to cut through the sticky latex web, getting himself tangled more and more in. He didn't care - as long as he could get out of the net. Unfortunately, the latex strands started to stick to the net, and dulled the blades as a coat of latex started to form along the edges. The spider got closer and closer still.

"Damn!" he cursed, "I suppose this ends with you feeding off of my aura and killing me, right?"

"I don't kill people whose auras I feed off of - they replenish quite quickly after all. Nobody 'dies' in Demon Castle Digitalpotato. Just hold still." The spider said, getting some webbing in her 'hands'. She must have been preparing to trap the challenger in the web.

The challenger kept on struggling, only for the spider to finally grab him, pulling him up off of the ground. She carried him off to a distant part of the web and laid him down, pulling some of the webbing off. The scissors were beyond useless by now - and the challenger simply dropped them on the ground. He was quickly bound to the web with more and more latex strands, essentially trapping him.

Before the challenger could say anything else, the spider walked over to an exposed hand and brought her fangs closer. She then gently grazed his exposed skin with her fangs. It didn't hurt that much - nothing more than a small scratch.

"What does your venom do?" The human asked.

"It simply turns you into latex. However, there are no latex humans around. They can't be turned into such."

As soon as she finished speaking, she pulled her body away, as the human started to hear a squeaking noise around his hand. The human struggled in his bindings to look over at his hand.

"So am I going to end up a toy?"

"Think of it as a living toy - we call it 'Synthetic'." The spider responded.

The challenger felt something strange in between his fingers, like a stretchy membrane connecting all of them together. The strange squeaking sensation continued down his arm.

"So am I going to stay here continuously?" He wiggled a little bit.

The grey rubber started to spread all the way down his arm, eventually hitting his chest. It seemed to turn a little white as it covered his stomach - it seemed to "eat" his clothing. But it wasn't like a shell of latex. He could even feel the cold air against his new smooth skin. It was completely turning him into latex!

As soon as it completely coated his back, he felt an odd sensation of something growing out of there. He even felt this new swelling - it must have been like a fin. He immediately guessed what he was becoming, when he felt the squeaking sensation move to his other arm. A dolphin. It started to cover his stomach and waist, even covering his head. He must have spread the venom through his body even more and more quickly

He grunted a little bit as his hair was completely eaten up by the latex. It seemed to congregate around his mouth as it inflated into a beak. He no longer drew breath, or even needed to for that matter. Synthetics did not breathe. He assumed there to have been a blowhole on his back when his nose was "consumed" by the latex with one small squeak. Then again, it might have just been painted on or simply a circle of black latex.

Before the latex could eat up his pants, his thick tail ripped them to shreds, dangling down with more and more squeaks. It quickly fluked on out into the "y" shape associated with cetaceans, wiggling a little bit as he commanded it. He seemed to almost instantly get used to having a tail. All that was left of him were his legs and feet.

But they did not remain that way for long. His toes seemed to elongate as the latex squeaked over them. After they finished lengthening, he felt a latex membrane connecting his toes together. His feet still remained plantigrade, but had gained a rather flipper-like appearance.

"See, this isn't so bad," The spider said, "At least you didn't make it further. I hear there are worse things in."

"Well this isn't bad, maybe I should try and return. Maybe I'll return in the dolphin body." The latex dolphin said, "Can you let me free now?"

"Most certainly," The spider said. She didn't seem to be doing anything - maybe auralvorism worked by simply absorbing the auras into yourself.

It wasn't long after that that the challenger woke up. It was one of the most vivid dreams that he had ever had - and the best part was, it was lucid. As lucid as it could get, when you entered somebody else's dreams. For a few moments, he even felt a phantom tail behind him - but a feel over his rump showed that he was once again human, with nice soft flesh and hair.

That certainly wasn't so bad, despite entering a Demon Castle. Maybe he would have to go there again, sometime. He remembered one detail that happened after he was turned into a latex dolphin. That there were those who had returned to Demon Castle Digitalpotato. Maybe next time he'll try a different approach, and maybe he'll end up something else
