It is a cold dark night, sirens' roar nearby while police forces chase down after Outcast out of the storm drain as more officers wait at the top of the bridge ahead. Sweat runs down his face, panting, running for miles trying to escape. When suddenly an object caught Outcast's eye, it was Ray's body; Motionless, Laying faced down on the pavement. Outcast walks over to ray, turning the body over he yells from the top of his lungs "NOOOO!". When suddenly everything goes dark for a moment. In seconds Outcast finds himself sitting up in bed with his heart racing, tears stain his cheeks, sweat running down his face, adrenaline rushing, clinging onto the sheets. The sound of rain smashing against the roof echoes through the room followed by lightning shining out the windows,lighting the room for a moment. It has been more than a week Outcast and Ray spent together isolated, keeping out of contact from the public. Ray awaken to the sound of screaming, concerned he laid his paws on Outcast shoulder gripping that scaly somewhat wet skin as he supports himself up to the lizards side "You okay?" Knowing that nothing is really fine, Outcast has been like this for the past few nights. The lizard takes deep breaths trying to relieve the stress, almost feeling like he just finished running a marathon. Turning to Ray he sighs in relief "Yeah, yes I am. Sorry if I woke you up." Ray, not wanting to make Outcast feel guilty, smiles at him "You did not wake me up, I was about to get up my self." Ray removes the sheets uncovering their exposed bodies, stretching before getting off to make a midnight drink.

Outcast got off and head straight to the restroom leaving the wolf alone, flicking the switch making the bulb light flicker until it lights up the small partly clean restroom.The floor was loose making each of the lizards step squeak until he stops right in front of the sink, colored in silver and brown. It is a miracle this building is still standing. Staring at the cracked mirror, turning the sink on Outcast scoops up the somewhat clean water, splashing it on his face to cool himself down. Trying to forget the horrible images that keeps crossing his mind."We have to get out of here." Leaning over the sink scanning himself in the mirror until he is interrupted by knocking on the door "Outcast i got warm milk made." Ray said with a worried tone "Give me a moment." Outcast replies grabbing a towel to dry his face. Coming out the bathroom Outcast can tell Ray is really concerned "Why won't you tell me whats wrong?" Ray asked making his way back to the kitchen, pouring a cup of warm milk for Outcast."It's nothing this happens all the time." Ray puts the pot down and glares at him, "So you wake up every night at three O'clock in the morning screaming and sweating?" Outcast tries to divert the subject "This storm is getting rough i thing i should check on the generator." Outcast reaches for his jacket that rested on a wooden chair, before grabbing it Ray stood between the two with arms cross knowing what Outcast is trying to do. "You cannot keep avoiding this. We need to talk about this." Outcast uses his tail, going around Ray, swiping the jacket and walks down stairs leaving the wolf to pounder on his own.

Making it down to the basement Outcast ignores the red generator as it roars fueling the home with energy, and sits on a cold steel chair shivering from the momentary coldness invading the lower half of his body. Thinking to himself with a blank expression towards the brick walls with the only noise coming from the Generator. The sound muzzled any other noise. Outcast wasn't paying any attention and did not see Ray standing on the doorway, covering himself with his own jacket"Im going to bed just came down to see how you where doing." Ray says before retreating back to the stairs until he hears Outcast call to him, "Sit with me?" Before turning Ray sighs slightly relieved and goes down to his troubled partner, sitting on the lizards lap wrapping his arms around Outcast to support himself. Outcast hugs the wolf feeling his body, Ray's fur is so warm giving Outcast some comfort. Outcast grips Ray tighter around the waste burying his head into his chest then looks up at the pup who still showed concern in his eyes.

"You know from the first time we met i never thought i see my self like this." Outcast said as he opens the front of Ray's jacket more, running his hand around Ray's chest "I never thought you be wanted either, i guess we both were surprised by the out come." Ray joked straddling Outcast with arms around the lizard's neck " Hey your the one who chooses to tackle me." Argues Outcast giving a kiss on the wolfs chest then adjust so their face to face "You kidding me that was the best decision i made my whole life" Ray replied until their lips meet. Taking in each others tongue, and sharing their body heat to only fall on the floor as the chair gave away, braking their kiss as Outcast feels the floor shocking his arms and leg's with coldness. They both laugh when they stare at each other."Come on let's go out." Says Ray as he pulls the lizard up from the floor seeing the smile quickly escape Outcast face to concern, "No." Ray groans in disappointment. "Come on we been stuck in here forever, the only time we do go out is when we go get groceries and even then we have to hide our faces." Not wanting to take a chance of having his nightmare come true Outcast holds Ray's paw thinking of an excuse "We do not have enough money to spend around like that." After saying that Ray surprises Outcast as he throws him on his shoulder and carries the shocked lizard up the loose stairs " Where you taking me?" Before resisting Ray throws Outcast into a closet where he lands onto four duffle bags filled with cash "I found them once i noticed the loose wooden floor." Ray leans on the door way crossing his arms, glaring at Outcast "We seem to have enough for at least one night out." Outcast sighs waving a white flag in defeat, getting off the bags he is welcomed by a sloppy kiss as the pup goes looking for clothes then realizes they hardly have any clothes at all. The sweater Ray has on is already half of their wardrobe, looking back to Outcast he grins at the lizard. Already knowing what Ray is thinking "Oh no." Shooting down the question before being asked "Aw come on. Besides i thought you wanted us to blend in and not be noticed. I doubt wearing ripped up stained clothes to go out and eat will be blending in!" Outcast shrugs sheepishly "They do in front of taco trucks."

The wolf growls at him "Alright we will get new clothes, But! We will not go to a restaurant. If we are going to do this we will go to the mall where we at least have a lesser chance of being noticed, and if i spot anything you ask no questions until i finish dragging us out of there!" Receiving a hug from Ray almost knocking Outcast over, he goes to change excited they finally get to have some fun out side of that prison of a home.

Concerned and paranoid, the lizard keeps a keen eye out for anything suspicious while the two make it into the mall. Passing the entrance Outcast spots a security officer, adjusting his jacket to cover his neck, then pushing his cap lower to hide his face from being spotted. "Don't be so paranoid or you will draw attention to yourself." Ray wraps his arm around the paranoid lizard.

"This is the only way i know how to act."

Ray drags him to the center plaza."Well no ones seems to notice you at all. Besides this is suppose to be a relaxing evening for us. Loosen up." Removing Outcast cap and putting it in the trash before The lizard was able to snatch it back" was that really necessary?" Swiftly putting his hood on glancing around as if he is being watched.

"Look at me." Ray clasp his hands on Outcast cheeks. "Stop acting if the S.W.A.T team is going to bust through the doors. Can we go through one day without living in fear?"

Outcast looks around and sighs as Ray removes the hood "I guess your right." Putting his arm around the wolfs neck. Off in the corner past the crowed of people a woman wearing a leather suit while looking at the two through her shades keeps a distance from the couple. Followed them the rest of day as Outcast and Ray go in and out different stores' buying anything they seemed fit.The tiger woman kept watching the two as a hawk watched its pray, seeing them eat away at their meals from the food court. Her view gets blocked when a janitor mops up the floor ahead of her. Cussing under her breath "Why an elephant." not wanting to lose visual for even a moment, she walks up to the man and without a word pushes the big guy out the way. Only to have him stubble onto his mop bucket, flinging his arms into the air, trying to hold onto anything and then scream as he crashes through a window into Macy's having women run out of the store making it even worse for the tiger.

"Move!" She said shoving people out the way until she suddenly notice Outcast and Ray turned to her direction.

"Shit..." Telling herself when a voice comes through her ear "What, what is it?" the tiger removes the earwig. Following his instinct Outcast quickly grabs Ray by the arm and drags him to the exit.

"Why we running?" Ray asks having dropped his food and leave behind all of their bags. Outcast doesn't say a word as he glances back seeing the woman chase after them "Not one day!" Outcast screams back. Ray looks back and sees the tiger lady right behind them.

The crowd of people did not help the situation, Outcast shoved through people trying to get Ray out quickly as possible even throwing people down behind them trying to make it more harder for the tiger woman. Ray in the other hand, apologizes to everyone they ran by "Excuse me, sorry, bad hotdogs, sorry, nice hat, sorry, excuse me."

Busting out the doors feeling the cool evening breeze, then was forced to stop right away. "Hold it right there Jenno." One of five security guards commanded with weapons drawn on the thief. Outcast looks at them all knowing this was going to happen, but did not think it would go down like this. Only one thought ran through his mind at that point, protecting Ray. The lizard stands in front of the frightened wolf not wanting him to get hurt at all. "Did not think we notice did you."The guard in the middle smirked feeling cocky, approaching Outcast with handcuffs ready to take him and Ray to jail. In disbelief Ray clings to Outcast jacket not wanting to let go,hanging his head in shame. Blaming no one, but himself for this. Glancing back Ray noticed the tiger woman had vanished.

"Where did she go?"Ray whispered under his breath

"No talking and put your hands where we can see them!" The guard ordered standing a few feet away. Outcast and Ray put their hands up as they are quickly cuffed together.

Outcast and Ray where put in two separate squad cars after waiting for police to take them away. It begins to rain again once night took over, water smacked against the car windows. Looking out the window Outcast observes each car, building, and person they pass by. Turning his head slightly, leaning on the window Outcast looks at the other squad car ahead of him that holds Ray. "Im..sorry Ray."

"Shut up you fag!" The cop driving yelled back at Him.

Outcast couldn't do much and just ignored the man. Outcast laid down on the backseat to rest a little thinking back to what could he have done different. Shutting his eyes a loud explosion roars, followed by the cars tire screeching while it swerved out of control. Outcast falls on the car floor when the car smashes into something making Outcast tumble around the back seat. suddenly the lizard is lifted off the ground. looking up he sees everything spinning barley able to see outside the windows not seeing anything clearly. Bumps form inside the vehicle the windows cracked and smashed against the force. When it finally stopped; Outcast only suffered some minor cuts .But the same cannot be said about the dead driver. Slowly sitting up Outcast finds himself sitting on one of the car doors'."Ugh...My head." Stunned and a little dizzy Outcast noticed the cuffs are still on him. The lizard feels around the dead officer pocket's to find the keys. Removing the cuffs Outcast bust through the beat up car door. Pulling himself out of the wreck Outcast notices the trail of destructions leading from the wrecked car laying on its side to fire on the road. He dashes up to the top seeing the car that held Ray engulfed in flames. Outcast circles around the vehicle, when he stumbles on Rays jacket partly burned with patterns of ashes. Outcast shakily grabs hold of the wet blue jacket and holds it close to him. The sounds of Fire fighters and police indicated they where not far. Having no choice the lizard had to abandon the scene with the jacket in hand.

The one he loved, the only person that loved Outcast for who he was, is gone. The only person who understood him is dead.

Outcast had no idea where he is going and at this point does not really care. Walking along the highway with wet torn clothes and clinging to the blue jacket. The sky stopped raining, but seems as if the world is against him for a crime that wasn't his fault. Memories come back to Outcast, back to when this nightmare started....

**When walking passed a store in order to get home Outcast spots two robbers running out the store with money flying out their pants. Before escaping in their get away car they spot Outcast who looked at them with interest. They both removed their ski mask revealing a man and a woman. Outcast tried to get out of there but was stopped as the robbers pulled their car ahead of him. They forced Outcast in the back seat. The tiger woman quickly drove them away as her partner turns to Outcast. "Alright lizard you have a choice. You seen our faces and if you watched the news you will know we don't like witnesses." The man smirks. "Option One: you can die right here right now before we burn the car, Option B: i can have my tiger friend here rip your tongue out so you can never speak again." Seeing how this rat is not the brightness one of the two. Outcast glares at the man then spots the tiger lady winking back at him through the mirror making Outcast turn away. Cop cars are heard, all three of them glance back. "It's the cops!" Exclaimed the rat. "No shit." Replied the tiger as she makes a quick turn into oncoming traffic. Outcast smacks against the side door making the back seat crack open. The lizard peeks inside finding duffle bags stored in the trunk filled with cash. The rat noticed him "Close it!" Yelling at Outcast as he leans out the window shooting at the cops. The lizard scared out his mind just ducks down. Looking up he spots the tiger woman smiling back at him. Then it all came to him "you two are Bernie and mike the ones who robbed a bank yesterday. "Ding, ding, we got a winner." Joked tiger as she waves hi to the helicopter.

"No autographs today kid." The rat said as he gets back in the car to turn on the radio. A news reporter voice is heard "Three bank robbers gunned down a store owner. Officers are now on a pursuit after the same car they used during the bank robbery. Apparently the employee who worked at the store spotted another accomplice climb into their vehicle. Man clams he may be their look out for the other two. My question here is, how do you go from a bank to a store. These people are ridiculous." The tiger turns the radio off "Congrats kid your famous." Not believing what he heard Outcast falls back onto his seat. "All i wanted is to go home." The car swerved and parks under a bridge. Outcast didn't realizing they escaped the cops. The woman unbuckled her seat belt turning the car off.

"lets go we cannot stay here for long!" Exclaimed Bernie.

"What about this kid?" The tiger looks at Outcast and surprisedly shoots her partner. The rat falls back on his seat and doubles over in pain."Well you always had a thing for attention." She says with a cold tone making Outcast more fearful of her. "Get the money kid and do not think i won't shoot you just because you seem cute." Outcast quickly gets out the car to carry as many bags as he can. Bernie lights the car on fire after grabbing the rest of the bags. She then takes Outcast to the entrance of a sewer. "Go in kid once you reach the other side, keep your head down and just keep moving. I got my own plans " The lizard looks at her in confusion.

"Your letting me go with all this cash why?"

The woman walks up to Outcast and kisses him,letting go she smiles back at him"like i said, your cute." Outcast blushes, confused of what is happening. He shakes his head as the chopper is heard flying by. "Go!" Were the last words Bernie said before running off. Outcast runs into the dark sewer, carrying Four duffle bags filled with money. The thing is though out of everything. He is now a wanted criminal. **

Then it hits him. The tiger woman has been there all the time. From when they kissed, to the moment he saved Ray, and a few moments ago when she chased them out the mall. But why? It can't be the same person. Can it?

Outcast walked all night even as the sun began to rise. Exhausted, hungry, dirty, and wanted. "The American dream alright." Taking a rest on the side of the road Outcast hears water flowing. Curious he turned a corner to spot a bridge. Rain water collected from sewers ran under the bridge.

"Back to where it all started, maybe it is where it should end as well." Outcast walked to the bridge holding on to the side railing. Feeling the wet rust resting on the metal. There was no more rain that morning only puddles and wet surfaces. Outcast climbed to the other side of the railing gripping on the bars. Only inches of his feet can stand on the bridge. Closing his eyes feeling the air hit him one last time. Throwing Rays jacket into the river before finally letting go of the bridge allowing gravity to drag him down with the blue jacket. Having his eyes closed he doesn't notice the hand that quickly grabs Outcast by the collar yanking him back over the railings landing on a person. Opening his eyes he finds paws on his chest. "Are you crazy!" Came Rays voice "H-have you lost your mind!?" He continues ranting on holding the wet lizard. "Ray? I thought you where gone." Before Ray answered "Well kid obviously you don't know the difference between dead or alive. Im considering throwing you into that rain water if you stop being a pussy, man up." Outcast did not notice the woman.

"You, how?" Outcast asked.

"Sorry but this family reunion needs to be cut short. Dog breath why don't you help the kid to the van."

Ray picks up Outcast and carries him into the back of the black van. Once inside the lizard looks around, noticing tool supplies scattered around, then spots someone else on the driver seat. "Alright you got two choices, option 3: you can dry of and change into something clean, or option C: die from hypothermia your choice." With that Outcast just gave up trying to understand as the man turns back at the confused lizard . "Boy you took a beating, sorry about scaring you back their." The rat said starting the van once the tiger got in. "Bernie and mike?" Outcast finally said as Ray helps the wet lizard out of his clothes. "Im only doing this because Bernie nagged me to do it." Mike glares at Bernie.

"Keep your eyes on the road and if the police caught him they would be after me next, then you." She sneers back.

"Yeah, yeah just admit it you like the lizard." Mike argues.

Only to get punched by Bernie "Shut up before i shoot you for real this time."

Ray finishes helping Outcast changed. "So what happened? I saw your car explode." Ray puts the lizard head on his lap to rest. "It's kinda hard to explain really one moment i was thinking about you, next thing i know i find my self in this van." Bernie flicks Mikes head. "I tolled you he was in the other car." Mike sticks his tongue out at her. "Yeah? And I tolled you to not get seen in the mall, but Noo. Miss amazon the warrior here just had to throw someone through a fuck'n window!" He snapped back "It was an accident." She replies with an elegant tone. "Pah yeah right, no one throws a man 20times her own weight through a store window." Said Mike as Bernie smiles a little."The fact you think i threw him. Makes it seem like you believe i can actually do it."

Ray interrupts the two before they continue "where are you taking us?" Bernie looks back at the two. "To your home of course."

"Wait you know where I live?" Asked Outcast.

"Of course ever since you and Tonto road off on your horse into that garage." Outcast rubs the back of his neck embarrassed, "So why didn't the FBI go after us?" Bernie smirks as she applies lipstick on herself." Their is a reason they did not shoot you kid." Mike buds in. "I give you props for that trick you did on the motorcycle." He assured.

Ray looks at the two confused. "Then why did you take me from my home?" The rat and tiger shared a look for a second. "Well we new Outcast would be watching, So we needed some bait."Bernie tolled him as she re-adjust her seat. The lizard resting on Rays laps sits up." Your after the money aren't you." Outcast says as he glances over spotting a wrench. "Boy, kid you sure haven't lost those smarts. It's sad that you won't get to keep them unless you tell us where the money is." Bernie flicked her hair as she turns back holding a gun. Surprised as she her hand gets smacked by a wrench Outcast grabbed with his tail. Causing Bernie to drop the gun and hold her throbbing hand. Outcast open the van door open and pulls Ray out with him as they fall onto pavement then roll onto grass. Looking up Ray noticed they were on the park he first met Outcast. Outcast notices and spots the van squeal to a halt, the lizard and wolf acted fast. Crawling to their feet Ray runs to his apartment across the street and takes a spare key that laid on top of the door. Fumbles and unlocks the door, pushing it open as Outcast runs in and helps Ray slam the door shut. Looking around Outcast notices the house is actually clean. Ray smirks a little "It was a welcome home gift incase i brought you back." A bullet flies through the door making them both duck down "Yeah I feel really welcomed right now!"

After a few more rounds, Outcast grabs Ray and takes him to the bedroom, barricading the door with Rays bed and bookshelf. Outcast dig through all the drawers for anything useful. "I know you promised me sex when i had the house clean, but i highly doubt this is the right time!" Ray says as he looks out the window. "No time for jokes." Outcast pulls out a dildo and clears his throat, Ray shrugs back at him."Birthday gift?" He said with a smile as Outcast throws it at him. Ray laughed slightly until the sound of the downstairs door being knocked down filled him with terror. Followed by Bernie's voice."Come on out you little shits!" Outcast looked out the window with Ray and sees the van with both doors wide open."Don't make me ruin another door kid!" Outcast looks at Ray getting a nod in return for approval. The lizard and wolf opened the window. Outcast made sure Ray went out first. Climbing out the roof was, still slippery from the rain making it difficult to walk on. Outcast went next as the wood of the door cracks. Making Outcast move faster. Ray made it to the edge of the roof and looks around. Jumping down Ray crouches seeing Bernie kick at the door and Mike raiding the fridge. Outcast finally made it, looking down at Ray, "Jump its okay." Ray Whispered up to Outcast. The lizard jumped down when he heard the door bust as Bernie tumbles over the shelf and bed that blocked her. The couple ran straight for the van as bystanders kept hidden, Ray and Outcast both make it in. Outcast sighs in relief seeing the keys are still in the ignition. Starting the car a bullet hits the left mirror shattering it, the bullet ricocheted and struck the lizards shoulder, flinching Outcast turned the car on. Outcast wasting no time the lizard steps on the gas taking off with Ray as the people in the park ran from the sounds of gunfire.

"You left the keys in the van!" Bernie yelled at Mike who is enjoying a sandwich. "Your the one who let him go the first, and second time." Bernie smacked Mike's sandwich and shoots it on the ground."Your lucky thats not you!" Bernie looks around and drags Mike away from his dead sandwich before the cops arrived.

Back at the hideout after ditching the van, Ray was able to dig out the piece of the bullet lodged in Outcast arm. The couple loaded a different car with the rest of the remaining money and anything else they own. Putting the last suit case in, Ray comes up behind Outcast holding him by the waist, kissing the lizards neck. "Where to now?" Ray asks as Outcast puts his hand to the Wolfs face. "Somewhere far, where we can live normal lives." Ray then nuzzles against Outcast neck. "I don't think we can ever be normal." They both smile then had to make it short as they know any moment Bernie and Mike might come for a visit. Ray snatches the keys from Outcast "I will drive, you need rest." Ray kisses Outcast bandaged arm then goes around to the driver side.

"Alright but we switch after two hours." Outcast demanded.

"Deal." Agreed Ray.

Opening the door Outcast enters the other side of the car. As they pull out Outcast feels Rays paw on his lap. The lizard holds the paw and puts it on the stick shift. "Drive pup." Outcast tolled him with a seductive voice.

Ray kept driving for more then two hours giving Outcast a rest well deserved. For some reason Ray can not remember why Bernie and Mike look familiar. Ray knows he seen them before but he cannot seem to remember where. His thoughts gets distracted once he hears snoring. "Well that new." Ray whispered when he sees Outcast sleeping. Focusing back on road as it changed from pavement to dirt. " Im sure you will enjoy it here." Ray said glancing at the sleeping lizard.

Little did Ray know another car has been tailing them for some time. "You sure its the kid?" Bernie asked as she drives. "Of course it's the kid." Mike argues. "Don't you have any faith in me?" Bernie leans against the window."Not really." When they made it off the road Bernie and Mike did not notice another car coming ahead of them until it was to late. Both cars crashed making the two criminals lose Outcast and Ray "damn it!" Bernie exclaimed as she punches the wheel. Getting off the wrecked car. "Wait here." The tiger tolled mike.Bernie looks past the headlights blinding her and looks to see the other driver "Are you really trying to get thrown through a window a second time?!" Bernie yelled annoyed at the elephant driver who quickly rolls up his window and sinks down into his seat.
