Athena awoke to hear someone tapping on the bars of her cell. She looked up and saw Shin and a cloaked dragon standing next to him he opened the cage and stepped in knowing full well Athena was still too weak to attack him. Athena shifted so she was on her knees, she growled and hissed loudly as Shin got closer.

"I see you still have some fight left in you...At any rate Chase is dead." Shin said calmly

Athena snarled even more as small flames flickers between her fangs

"YOU'RE LYING!" She roared.

Shin tosses the bloody medallion her feet. The smell of freshly spilt human blood flooded her nostrils, she also picked up Chase's scent, and there was no mistaking it. This was the medallion she had given him. Shin turned and left the cell. Tears flowed from her eyes; however her sorrow was soon taken over by rage.

"He tried to stop me but he failed...but of course that's to be expected of Vermin." Shin said

Athena roared lunged at him using what strength she had left trying to grab Shin through the bars but they were electrified. The second she touched them the shock knocked her onto her back. Shin didn't even pay her any mind and kept walking. The cloaked dragon stayed behind and watched Athena pick up the medallion, holding it tightly in her paws as she held it to her chest as she began sobbing hysterically.

"I'm sorry...." The dragon said before walking away.

The tone of her voice told Athena she was clearly a female. The cloaked dragoness soon caught up with Shin.

"What should we do know with her now?" she asked

"It will take some time to break her however once we do she will make a fine addition to our ranks, then we will let the vermin destroy themselves." Shin said.

"You're aware that if HE gets word of this there could be a problem." The dragoness said.

"Sora's little guard dog is hardly a threat." Shin said.

"I was talking about Odin." The dragoness said.

"My spies on Wyvern are keeping me informed of Ace's every move we are ready for anything he can throw at us. Odin couldn't care less about what happens here." He responded.

Shin then looked at the dragon.

"I sense personal feelings at play here...you would do well to keep your emotions in check...Valkyrie. Or have you forgotten the last encounter you had with a royal dragon." Shin said before he dashed off into the woods.

Valkyrie looked down clenching her fists.

"....I will NEVER forget...." She said quietly.

Back on earth several humans wearing brown cloaks picked Chase up gently and loaded him in a black truck. The hooked he up to life supports. Next to Chase was Jaden and Kiyo who were also on life support.....They were alive but barely. The van sped out of town into the outskirts of the city deep into nearby forest to a base hidden deep inside in a mountain. The cloaked strangers then unloaded Kiyo and the rest, stripping them down to their underwear and put them each into a healing tank. The tank was made from reverse engineered fur tech. The cloaked figures watched their vitals very carefully when a man walked over to the vat. His name was Doji. He has short spikey black hair and wore a black tux with matching sunglasses and shoes. He has an average body build. One of the figures pulls their hood down revealing she was a young woman with short blonde hair that went down to her shoulders. She had blue eyes and red lipstick.

"How are they?" He asked.

"They are stable for now. I just don't understand. Their wounds are fatal but they remain stable....They should have died a while ago, defies all logic." One of the figured said.

"I learned a long time ago to never listen to logic that's why I am in charge. Administer the body enhancement." He said.

"Sir with all due respect administering body enhancement in their current condition has a 98 percent chance of killing them." She said.

"And if they survive they can drive off the invasion." The man said.

The woman pressed a few buttons the tanks began to glow making the 3 humans inside twitch and thrash involuntarily. Chase opened his eyes to find himself in a white room. He then felt hot breath on the back of his neck and saw a gold dragoness standing behind. He quickly stumbles and fell on his but she looked exactly like Sora only her scales color was reversed. Instead of silver white scales and a yellow under belly she has gold scales with a silver white under belly and had black stripes. She wore white silks the covered her large bust and her vent. The silk gently flowed as if they were in the wind. He also noticed the halo above her head. It was Sora's late mother Divina.

"Did I startle you?" She asked.

"It's been a while since I have seen a dragon up close." Chase said.

"And yet I sense no fear in you....just sorrow, anger, regret...guilt." Divina said.

Chase clenched his fists as the memories of his first encounter with Shin filled his mind.

"If I had been there...I should have warned them or something" Chase said

"Don't blame yourself....There was nothing you could have done." She said cutting Chase off.

Divina then walked over and place a paw on Chase's paw.

"What is your reason for living?" She asked.

Chase looked at her confused.

Divina repeated her question.

"Why do you continue to survive?" She asked again.

"I don't know...." He answered.

Divine waved a paw and a large light began to shine several yards behind her. She then stepped aside and pointed to the light.

"Then it's time for you through this portal and cross into the afterlife. If don't have a purpose for living...then what's the point?" Divina said.

Chase slowly began to walk towards the light walked to the portal as he got closer his life started to flash before his eyes. The light felt good as he got closer and closer. Then he saw his memories of Athena. From the day they met to the time she left. He stopped walking and stood just mere inches from the light portal. Diva walked up next to him.

"Are you not ready... to cross into the afterlife?" Divina asked.

"I am ready to cross over...but not today...I made a promise to someone a long time ago. And I still have to keep that promise..." He said before he ran in the opposite direction.

Divina smiles as she watched him leave. Chase had found his reason to keep surviving.

Chase woke with a start to find he was in a tank as it was draining. He fell to his knees gasping for air as the glass lifted. Several women in white cloaks helped him out. He looked up and saw Doji standing over him smoking a cigarette.

"Well looks like you're awake. I was beginning to think you would never wake up." He said.

"Where am I?" Chase asked.

"You're inside my base which happens to be inside a mountain. You were pretty banged up." Doji answered.

"So this is some top secret government base that no one knows about and it's filled with technology that as far as the rest of the world knows doesn't exist?" Chase said.

Doji smiled and gave a nod.

"Just like in movies, who says T.V rots the brain? Now as for your body enhancement, long story short we injected your body with a special enhancement serum followed by exposing your body to highly concentrated amounts of ion radiation. It was first developed during the war with the furs when they first arrived on earth. Since the furs were physically superior to us we decided to create soldiers who could go toe to toe with them. We continued research & development all these years and thanks to the technology we collected from the old fur sectors we were able to perfect it however the ion radiation treatment was new, you 3 were the very first survive the treatment. You are now as strong as you would be with your old bio armor only now you don't need it anymore." Doji said tossing him a wristband.

In a room not far away from where Chase was Kiyo and Jaden were sitting on a pair of beds what looked like motorcycle body armor, each of them also was wearing a fur tech wrist band. They had both reawakened before Chase and they were already told about the body enhancement. The furs were physically superior to humans in every way. Their endurance meant they couldn't get injured and like the dragons their wounds healed a lot faster and wounds that would be lethal to a human wouldn't be to them. By exposing Kiyo and the other to concentrated amounts nuclear radiation combined with raw ion radiation resulted in all their attributed being enhanced 10 fold just like when they wore the armor only now they didn't need it now they could go toe to toe with an anthro and win.

"Damn it.....is it too much to ask to just be left alone in peace!?" Jaden growled.

"If Mira could see what you have become... She would be disgusted." Kiyo said.

Jaden grabbed Kiyo and slammed him hard against the wall.

"Shut your mouth!" Jaden yelled.

Kiyo broke free from the hold ducked just barely avoiding Jaden punch which dented the steel wall. He tackles Jaden getting him to the ground. Jaden knocked Kiyo off and punched him hard in the face. Kiyo threw a punch of his own hitting Jaden in the stomach. Jaden grunted and got Kiyo in a head lock. He kneed him in the chest several time before punching him hard knocking him onto his back. Jaden then picked Kiyo up off the ground and threw him into the wall hard denting the steel. Kiyo hit the ground in a heap.

"HOW WOULD YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT WHAT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH!? You were ALWAYS Mr. Popular! You're always too busy for anyone else." Jaden yelled.

"I NEVER betrayed you." Kiyo said getting up.

"You were too busy to even care! EVERYTIME You got in a jam bailed you out, EVERYTIME you needed help or something I had your back, but when I needed you to watch Mine YOU couldn't be bothered! Last time I check friends are there for each other!" Jaden said.

Kiyo tried to stand up but Jaden kicked him in the chest knocking him back down each time.

"You're right....I haven't been much of a friend to you have I, I'm sorry about that......It will never happen again." Kiyo said.

Jaden stopped hitting him and let Kiyo to his feet.

"If we're going to find out where the fur planet is we will need catch one of them alive." Jaden said.

"So NOW you're going to help?" Kiyo asked.

"They attacked my planet so now it IS my concern, and I need to know why Mira is running with them." Jaden said

"That's fair enough...I just hope Sakura is alright." Kiyo said.

"She is a tough is girl, she'll be alright." Jaden Said.

Jaden walked over to the door and touched it. To his surprise it wasn't even locked. Kiyo soon followed as they made their way unknowingly to the control room. There were several very large surveillance monitors that were either watching the rooms in the base or outside. Doji and Chase soon came in. Chase was also wearing the same armor as the rest. There we several humans wearing soldier uniforms typing on key board and watching the monitors.

"Gentlemen what we are dealing is an invasion on a global scale. Every nation on the planet has been attacked; we also have learned they the enemy has infiltrated our nations over a period of several years and now ALL of our defenses are crippled. The air force, the navy the army, the National Guard are all down and out. The bases and units that weren't destroyed are barely holding on. These invaders just did in 3 weeks what every warlord and conquer in human history tried to do their whole lives..., they brought the world to its knees the human race as a whole is facing the very real possibility of extinction. We have found what we believe to be the command ship. We believe once the ship is taken down you the earth may have a chance." Doji said.

"So basically you expect us to be your soldiers?" Kiyo asked.

"The choice is completely yours though the alternative is you can sit back and watch your planet be wiped out." Doji said.

Kiyo, Chase and Jaden looked at each other and nodded.

"We're in." They all said in unison.

Doji smiled and led them to the armory wear they suited up ready for the mission. Doji pressed an ear come before speaking.

"The command ship has moved into earth's orbit" Doji said.

"We'll need space suits then because the oxygen levels are meant for furs not humans." Kiyo said.

"No, you won't. Thanks to the enhancement your bodies require less oxygen than before." Doji said.

Kiyo and Chase looked at each other as their eyes lit up.

"Does that mean we can go to the Fur's planet?" Chase asked.

"Yep you can breathe and live on their planet just as easily as you can live on earth now. Now the command ship's defenses are down. That works in our favor. Now move out." Doji said as he led them to a fur ship that had the skull hunter mark on it.

We managed to shoot down this ship. With some minor repair work we were able to get it flying again. The auto pilot will bring you up to the ship however you'll need to find an escape pod to get back

The trio boarded the ship and took off into space; the ship's auto pilot brought them to the command ship. Kiyo and Chase both had a katana while Jaden was using dual ion pistols. They saw one of the skull hunter troop walk over to the craft. When trooper got close enough Jaden shot him between the eyes putting him down instantly. Jaden walked s over and put a hand on the fur's neck to make sure he was dead and was surprised. The fur was a pit bull but his body was ice cold to the touch a clear sign he had been dead for a long time to begin with.

"This guy is just a marionette." Jaden Said as she searched the body.

"A what?" Kiyo asked.

"It's not uncommon for some Kitsune to use corpses like puppets or marionettes. It's a common trick used to fool enemies. I bet this whole ship powered by them." Jaden said as he pulled out a flash drive.

"If that is the case then Shin and the others may already be back on their home world." Chase said.

"I don't doubt that. Let's take this ship out" Kiyo said.

They travelled down the corridor which looked like something right out of a sci-fi movie. As they travelled they didn't encounter any more troops which they found very unsettling. They found a directory which showed them the way to the bridge. Eventually they made their way to the bridge and the door open to show a female Afghan hound sitting in the captain's chair. She was tall and slender with long white sure and piercing red eyes with slit pupils and an F.A.S. uniform with a slash going through the paw badge. Suddenly several troops attacked opening fire on the trio. Kiyo drew his sword cutting down the troops with great speed and little effort as Chase reflected the laser fire back at them while Jaden opened fire hitting his mark putting down as many troops as he could. Eventually all the troops were down and the afghan looked up at them clapping her paws.

"Most impressive... I must admit I didn't think you humans would make all the way up here... and without space suits no less. You know we could always use males like you." She said.

"It will be a cold day in hell before we join you" Kiyo spat.

The afghan smiled showing her teeth. Her voice grew deeper and very masculine.

"Then maybe I'll just kill you and add your bodies to my collection." She said as her fur bristled into spikes.

Jaden opened fire shooting the dog sever times in the head and chest. The afghan stumbled over but just laughed. Jaden narrowed his eyes as the dog wasn't even bleeding and clearly didn't even feel the shots.

"Just as I thought...another reanimated corps. Who are you?" Jaden said

"Very smart... This poor bitch was the captain of this fine vessel when she was still alive as for my name, you can call me Hiroshi, I apologize for not being able to be there in person but you'll have to settle for me using THIS body... I gave her one mission and that's to kill you...and you are Jaden right? Mira's old flame." The afghan said.

Jaden clenched his fists at the mere mention of Mira.

"This one is mine, stay out of it." Jaden said as he powered up his blasters.

The afghan pointed at Jaden as the fur on her arm bristled and thicken into large spikes and pointed at Jaden. She began to shoot the strands at Jaden each of the fur stands as sharp as a razor and struck with the force of a bullet. Jaden dodged the spikes with ease however he wasn't prepared for what happened next. The spikes began to explode one after the other knocking Jaden flat on his stomach. Jaden quickly jumped to his feet shot the afghan right in the shoulder catching Hiroshi off guard. Jaden got in close bashing the canine's head with his pistols. The Afghan clenched her teeth as her fur bristled again this time on her legs as she kicked Jaden hard. Jaden his blaster to block the kick but was still sent him crashing to the ground.

"Did you REALLY think that you humans were the ONLY ones who enhanced their troops? We furs have been doing it for centuries. This little catch here was a master of close quarters combat. She was one of our original targets. If all goes well I'll be adding our latest catch to my collection...a water dragoness. You can probably tell I left this bitch with her base fighting instincts..." "Hiroshi said.

The canine then looked at Chase and smiled as he could sense Chase's anger not noticing Jaden turning up the power on his blasters. Jaden knew if he over loaded the ion core it would destroy the marionette. The power reached critical and threw the blasters at the afghan landing at her feet. Her eyes widened as canine's fur grew and formed what looked like a quill spikes shield mere seconds before the blasters exploded knocking Chase, Kiyo, and Jaden onto the ground. When the smoke cleared the fur's shield crumbles to ashes, her armor was in tatters her fur was scorched and her bare skin was visible.

"You bastard..." The canine growled

She limped pressed a few button on her wrist band before collapsing onto her back, several alarms began to blare. Jaden ran over and grabbed the canine by the neck.

"WHAT DID YOU JUST DO!?" Jaden demanded.

"I fired the ship's primary weapon before activating the self-destruct. That little club house you call a base is nothing but a creator now enjoy your last 60 of life and Remember this Jaden, victory has its price." the afghan said before any sign of life vanished from her eyes and her body turned to dust.

"Can you override the system?" Kiyo asked.

"No, and we don't have time crack the code." Jaden responded

"We could send out an S.O.S." Chase suggested.

"There is no one out here besides us." Jaden said

"It couldn't hurt." Kiyo said

Jaden pressed as many buttons as he could before he finally hit right button sending out an S.O.S

Not far outside a F.A.S fight sat cloaked. The pilot narrowed his eyes as he watched and scanned the ship.

"What's fortress class battle ship doing here?" he thought to himself as he turned on his scanners.

He picked up 3 life reading before a small explosion could be seen on the hull. He turned on his engines and flew in close. He manages to get a fix on the location but his scanners picked up another ship coming out of warp he gasped in awe as vessel came into view, it was Odin's war ship, they were responding to the S.O.S. However the pilot's fascination was soon turned to terror as the ship fired killing him in seconds. Luna stood on the bridge with her arms crossed.

"What have we here?" Luna thought to herself.
