Gravity Lift- Chapter 1: A good start

This is my first time trying to write a story by chapter. I really hope i can do better. Hope you will enjoy.
Chapter 1: a good start.
It was a hot afternoon on the big, futuristic town of Nopolia. The clouds were drifting peacefully away with a calm wind from the north, it was summer. I found myself, lye down on a towel on the beach. The place was crowded as well as the ice-cream store. I took a look at my watch, 3:00 PM. I was feeling hot and sticky but I was to lazy to get up. My name is Mike, Mike McHero. I just turned 20 last week and I decided to have a peaceful day. I finally decided to get up and as I was walking up to swim, I saw my best friend talking with his girlfriend which I didn't know her. My friend's name is Zen Kashati. A black wolf with green eyes, his hair was short and dark blue. He was in a dark grey short swimming suit. I didn't want to interrupt their conversation so I headed directly for a nice swim. The water was nice and clear, I could see fishes and more creatures who were playing around. Around 6 PM, I packed my stuff and jumped in my hover-car. It was a cool sport car and the mark was _ Eclipse Sunriser _; I though it was a pretty good name. Floating car over 30 centimeters from the ground.
The traffic was awful, everybody were going home and the roads were totally blocked. I let out a heavy grunt and waited. After 2 hours, I could finally smell the familiar sent of home. I could see the gate and when I was near, I spoke through a microphone "Mike McHero" then a holographic keyboard pop out and I wrote the password before the gate could open. When the gates were wide open, I drove through, the place was big enough for a 4 family of 4 children at least. I sigh at the though of my birthday, my dad paid me this house. I remember, I was shocked and happy. I hoped out of my car and did the same thing to open the door of the house. Once in, I was in the living room. It was really huge. A holographic TV was on a wide wall with a RayStation 20. I looked all doors and walked to my bedroom. The bedroom was wide enough for a sleep over with 15 people. After a nice, cold shower, I jumped on the bed and fall asleep.
Morning, it was cold and already 10 AM. I walked to the kitchen a backed some eggs and prepared a nice cup of coffee. After this delicious breakfast, I went down to the garage... AHEM, a garage? Yeah right... it was more a laboratory than a garage. The garage was occupied by 6, 3D, computer with really high resolution and capacity on the right. In the middle, a circle shape with some materials that I forgot to throw away lately. I walk to my computers and turn them on and I log on. My first reaction was to check my e-mail box and I saw an invitation of Extreme Gears Race. I though I was dreaming for a second but it was really true. I though it could be interesting so I accept. The race was 15 days ahead at a stadium called Techisium , it was one of the longest race stadium of the world. Now I had to train hard, I had to make my own Extreme Gear. I spend the all morning on the computers to design my Extreme Gear. After a small meal with meatballs and rice, I walk to an Extreme Gear shop and bought materials. Darn, it is expensive. Around 4 PM, I was back at my house. I was getting ready to make my board when my phone rang. I pick it up and saw that it was Zen.
"Good afternoon Zen how are you?" "Good and you Mike?" _"Oh i'm fine, I received an e-mail about a race in 15 days at the Techisium." "Really? Cooool, I might come to see you. I was wandering if you could come for the night, i'm bore. We will have a pizza party or something and DON'T forget your controllers, I have Cod of Duty 6." "sure no problem."_"See ya."
I closed my phone and got prepared for the night.
On the way to my friend's house, I see 6 guys on hoverboard driving like crazy and the cops (policemen) were chasing them. I see a kid walking with his hoverboard and I jump out from my hover-car to the kid.
