Poem #3, I was inspired by the sun waking me up one morning and wondered what'd it be like if it could tell us a story. Enjoy :)

Beams of sunlight glinting in the windowpane, Shining softly, touching through, dreaming of rain, Warmth caressing every embrace, brightening each weary face, Ignoring the hardship of sickness and pain. When I see the sun, my heart flutters, I'm filled with joy as I open the shutters, Smiling just as bright, but dreading the cold, dark night, I take this time to set things right. Perhaps the light needs its mate, it must seem lonely, Being the only being in the heavenly expanse. So radiant to hide its desire, cloaked in searing fire, Just needing a reflection to give a damn. Reaching to earth, the Sun seeks a gentle hand, for the gods seem to have forsaken him; and towards the cosmos, simply seeking a friend, it too despite the power, grows dark and dim. For the clouds hide what once could be seen, Are the Sunbeams now just a dream? Do they Scheme behind false pretenses? Do they look upon themselves and weep? When the Sun is forced to rest will light ever die? Does it shine brightest when not in the sky? Please tell me that I won't fade, As the world grows cold and stars unmade? I want to see light, the goodness of life, The blazing, shining, ball burning bright. Hold it close, live again, lit inside, and maybe someday be alive. maybe someday I'll shine too beaming light; looking through the pain outside, loving, living, losing nothing, dancing, dreaming of rain.
