Man's Best Friend

"Come on, girl! You want the frisbee? Want it? Go get it!"

The boy threw the oversized frisbee off across the feild, watching his dog, a gorgeous Golden Retriever, chase after it, tongue hanging out of her mouth with the most exhilerated expression plastered to her long muzzle.

George, a young man on the verge of college, was enjoying his summer up at his mother's ranch. The boy, from a mix of manual labor, exercise, running, and the weekly rounds of DDR, was quite buff, though not overly so. He had fine, toned features, with very little fat on him. Most people could see this right away, because he usually wore shirts that fit snug around his body, accenting those various muscles. His hair was the darkest shade of black, and he had a deep tan, though by some trick of genetics, his eyes had come out a bright, sparkling blue.

Even his birthing docter had expressed surprise. Him, and everyone else the youth had met during his journey through life.

But people had come used to it. He knew a fair few members of the two communities in which he lived. Because it was his last summer vacation, he decided to spend it with his mother, siblings, and dog, up in the ranch. The area in question was a large plot of land, with a smooth country rode curving through the middle. It had long since been sold to the town, but his family still lived on it. One side of the street held a wonderful hill, the slope of which was always the spot for outdoors family time in the summer, and sledding in the winter. On the other side lay the houses, the central of which where he and his family lived. Beyond those lay a wide expanse of hay feilds, and a river where people often fished.

He spent most of his time out in the large area between his grandmother's house and his mother's, either playing football with his friends or playing various games with the family dog, Lucy.

Lucy had been around for about three years. His mother had bought the golden haired dog when his uncle had found the creature by his house. Someone had left the Retriever there in a very bad condition. Some hair was missing, there were a couple of wounds, and the dog seemed very famished, if judging only by looks. He, along with his wife and kids, loved caring for animals, so they took the dog in and cared for her. His aunt decided to sell the animal to her sister, George's mum. It had been mid-summer of the vacation leading to his Freshman year then, and when the dog was brought home, he immediatly made a bond with the creature. Often times with his own pocket money he would bie food or toys for the still recovering animal, spending many days simply playing with her. Without any training, the dog started to listen to George. It was a rare occasion (and even rarer as the years progressed) that the dog wouldn't obey to a verbal instruction if it came from George. Such was the bond between the two.

Watching his dog streak back, the XL frisbee clamped firmly between her jaws, George gave a happy laugh and a couple of claps. "There's a good girl! She got the firsbee, yes she did! Come here, come here!"

The dog obeyed without question, running up to her master, tail wagging so hard her hips seemed to move with the motion. Without him even needing to say so, Lucy dropped the frisbee at his feet, staring up at the lad with her mouth open, large pants rolling from her mouth in uncontrolled gasps.

Bending down, George placed a hand over Lucy's head, rubbing vigorously. "You want me to throw it again? Huh? One more time, girl?"

Lucy, ecstatic at getting pet, simply fell to her side, and rolled over, paws in the air, belly exposed in the simplest of all pleas: Pet my belly!

George, laughing, complied, sliding his hands to her stomach and rubbing hard, the fur sliding between his fingers like seperate strands of silk. Not only did he take much pride in playing with and feeding his dog, he tried to make her look as good as possible. He loved giving the dog baths, and, in return, he often got a bit of a wash himself. Lucy did play rough, from time to time!

He even went far enough as to brush his dog's teeth! Some might see that as being "overly-affectionate," but he loved his dog. He hated dog breath with equal intensity.

Fun as it was outside, the sun was already sinking lower into the sky. He knew it was time to head home. "Sorry girl," he said, withdrawing his hand, "We gotta go home. Come on, go to the bathroom, let's head home! Come on! Wanna see mum and Sal?"

As always, his excited town drove the dog wild. Practically leaping for the frisbee that George held high up, Lucy followed her master home, the occasional bark echoing from he muzzle.

Home. Ah, home. Always a place of peace for families everywhere. George's home was no different, unless your definition of the word "peace" didn't include an antonym of the word in question.

George's mother was a fine woman, wearing tight fitting jeans and a tube top. She had a good figure, though she did have a bit of "meat on her bones," as the saying went. She was a loud woman too, who enjoyed as much of teenage life as George did, if not more. She often played DDR with George, laughing raucosly to the complicated steps that she forced on herself. She usually tried her hand at some of the other games, but most of the time she was out with her friends.

As such, George spent most of his time with his ten year old sister, Sally: Sal, for sort. He loved his sister to death most of the time. The rest, he spent thinking of her as a spoiled brat. She often whined, though not around him. Unlike his mother, who detested violence and refused to reprimand anything her daughter did, George took responsibility into his own hands and forcibly punished his sister when necessary.

Tonight was a rather calm night. Some order-out Italian food lay on the table, and each ate their own meals, scattered conversation popping up and forks every so often traveling across the table to snag a stray piece of food. when the night dragged on and darkness blanketed the world outside, George retired to his room. Lucy followed behind, tail wagging. She often expected to sleep in George's bed. Almost every time she was granted that permission, and promptly hopped up onto the mattress, curled into a ball, and lay her head on George's chest.

This night was no different. When he finally did go to bed, his dog followed. The blankets were set, the dog got comfy, and the lights were turned off. Silence echoed in the room, interrupted only by the occasional breath from both boy and dog.

It was late in the night when George roused from his sleep. He was usually a deep sleeper, but he felt something odd beside him. Strangely enough, he didn't see his dog curled up by his side. His eyes were closed to slits, things seemed blurry, but he did notice something akin to a person crouching by his side, on knees, leaning over him. Faint sniffs left the feeling of a breeze against his skin, and hands traveled his chest. Strangly enough, the hand's didn't feel soft, like skin. Instead, it felt like... pads. Odd. Only then did he realize that the blanket had been moved off of him.

He opened his eyes a bit more, trying to look at the person that caressed his toned chest. He saw a human shaped head, but the mouth didn't seem to be shaped right, extending out just a bit too far than normal. A small whap, whap, whap sound came from behind the figure. It sounded like a tail wagging! He was drowsy, and the rubbing made him feel even sleepier. But, at the same time, he felt so relaxed.

He opened his eyes a bit more, now curios to see who this mysterious masseuse was. His eyes were becoming more accustomed to the dark, and he started to make out strange patterns along the person's skin. Not only that, he saw the curve of breasts. It was a girl! A girl had snuck into his room, and was rubbing all over him!

Slowly, he stirred, about to raise himself from bed. A hand pushed down on him, pressing him back to bed. He felt a figure lean down against him, and a tongue was dragged against his neck. He shivered. Not that he wasn't a virgin, but he knew nobody here that would want to treat him with such affection. He was enjoying the attention immensly, but he truly wanted to return the favor.

Against his will, he felt himself starting to drowse off. He opened his eyes to try and get a better look at his "assailant." He saw fur. Ears. From his position, he now noticed the tail. The one foot he saw was a paw.

What an odd dream. he fell back asleep with that thought in mind.

The next morning, he awoke with the covers back over his chest, and Lucy still snoozing with her head on his blanketed chest. It was later than usual, but he felt more awake than he usually was as well. Up he sat, the dog's head sliding from his chest. With those big brown eyes of hers, she looked up to him, questioning why such a comfertable position had been compromised.

He smiled, and gave her head a loving pat. "There, there. It's alright. We gotta go down to the river, remember? We're gonna go swimming!" Early as it was, thge mention of any activity got both rather excited. Out of bed he hopped, followed by Lucy, whose tail was already starting to pick up speed.

It took them a while, but after George got his shower done, brushed his and Lucy's teeth, ate breakfast, and grabbed a towel plus some water toys, he and his dog headed off into the feild behind his house. He'd be with his family, but today was going to be a slow day, and his friends were all out to a concert. He would have gone, but he hated the band.

So today, he was going to dedicate his attention to the dog. Once he entered the hay feild, he searched around for his path marker. The river was a popular spot for families with dogs, but this was his home. He knew places. He set out a trail. It started with a small flag, which he located quickly.

"Come on, Lucy! Let's go, girl!" he said, running down the hill from that point. He knew where he was going. It would be a long trail, but it would be worth it, at least for the seclusion. One rickety wodden bridge, a few trees, a rock, a broken satellite dish, and a short woodland path later, the entered into a beautiful grove, the river gurgling away in front of them like a snake that never ended. He grinned, and ran forward, dumping the toys and his towel on the ground. He wanted to play with his dog, but he was determined to share in at least some of the fun.

"CANNONBALL!!!!"

~~SPLASH~~

A head submerged from the water: George's, to be precise. His hair, now completely soaked (along with the rest of his body) lay plastered to his head. He tried his best to shake out his hair, letting the black curls free themselves from the water that now clung to each strand, molding them together like clay molded into intricate curls. Lucy, not to be denied of any fun, followed suit, taking a bounding leap into the slow flowing water. She didn't make quite as much of a splash, but she still soaked herself too. She turned around and doggy-paddled her way to her master, who was grinning and slapping the water with a palm. "Good girl! What a swimmer! Come on, Lucy, you otter, you!"

He swam towards the shore before the current could pull him any farther down the river, Lucy following behind determinedly. When they reached the shore, George pulled himself out of the water, his board shorts clinging to him as air filled the now waterless gaps. He pulled them out so they hung comfertably, not showing off his "pride and joy," so to speak. With that, he fell back on the grass, laying down with his arms stretched behind his head, pillowing him comfertably. Lucy, not to be denied an opportunity of cuddling with her master, promptly layed down by his side, her furry body resting against him.

George looked at her, smiling. It was rare to see the two in such a master-pet moment, but in the seclusion, nothing stopped him from showing his love. He sat up a bit, leaning into the dog and kissing her on the top of her head. "You're a good dog, Lucy."

Lucy looked right at him, her brown eyes like pools into which he loved to fall when nobody else was around. Sometimes, he wondered what intelligenge lied underneath those big eyes. He wondered how much of him she really understood, and lamented the fact that he'd never learn what she was really saying.

Sadly, he rubbed her head. "Ah, Lucy, what I wouldn't give for just one moment... to know what you really think, to speak with you."

It seemed that Lucy considered that statement, head cocked in interest. Then, she simply stood off, and padded towards the river. George sat up, confused, wondering why the dog would head back. Did she want to swim again?

He barely believed what he saw next.

The dog straightened up, standing on its back paws. It seemed to be begging, but it held balance. Several resounding pops resounded through the clearing, and Lucy's back legs seemed to grow straighter, the legs changing to resemble those of a normal humans. The legs were slender, the thighs taut, not a hint of fat to be seen on them. Lucy's body also changed shape, widening a bit, to compensate for the new body structure. The front paws jerked to the side, elboms and shoulders forming, the front paws elongating, thumbs forming so that two paired hands came into existence. The head also underwent change, the muzzle shortening, the head readjusting to face perpendicular to the upright body. The head widened, the cranium changing obvious size. The final change to occur was the formation of two identical mounds on the chest of the new creature. Lucy, once her body had completely changed, stretched out her limbs, getting used to the different body structure.

George, the entire time, sat on the ground, awestruck. His dog was not his dog! At least, not as he normally knew her. Lucy was something more, almost a half human-half dog! He didn't know the term, but he knew that his dog was now humanoid, upright, and naked. Not only naked, but naked and beautiful! The thoughts that crossed his mind came too quick for him to filter, and he scrambled up to escape the situation.

"No! George!"

The light voice that had emenated from the creature made him stop just as he was turning to run. He looked at her slowly, turning his torso to eyeball Lucy. She had a fearful expression on her face, a hand reached out as though she wished to grab him, to stop him from running. "George, don't go. Please."

It wasn't her pleading that made him stay. It was those eyes: those pleading, deep brown eyes that could make him do anything for her. "Lucy?" The question was exploratory, and he took a step closer to the dog-woman.

Lucy, excitable as she was when she was a regular dog, yelled out excitedly, running over to him and throwing her arms around her. The action surprised him, and George, still shocked, could only spread his arms out as she buried her face into his chest. Mumbled words came from his chest, obviously muffled by his shirt. "Lucy, Lucy... Hey, down!"

He had went back to his command voice, and, Lucy, following the order, sat down on the ground, legs crossed Indian style. Surprised, he looked down at her, getting a glance of her completely. She had her same gorgeous golden fur, which paled at her stomach, and, though it made him blush to look at those areas, at her breasts and down to the spot between her legs. He sat down in front of her, and said, "Erm, Lucy... I think you have some explaining to do."

Immediatly, she launched into an explanation, that took close to a half hour. Basically, she explained how most dogs, with the exception of some, could shift to humanoid shapes. Originally, it turned out, they were humanoid, but they had to hide because the quickly adapting primates of the world hunted her kind very successfully. The first wolf shamens figured out how to shift into what are now known as "canines." They survived alongside humans, never revealing what they were. That power passed on to the domesticated dogs of today.

George, who had listened to this all, let out a long breath. "I mean... wow. I never knew... wow. How can...? Wow..." Apparently, amazement stunted his vocabulary. Lucy, seeing this, quickly took over the conversation.

"Listen, George," she said, those eyes wide now, pleading for attention, "I didn't want to surprise you like this. But you've... you've always loved me, since I was a pup. I grew up with you, and you and I are so close... I want to do nothing more than to make you happy. Now that we can talk... are you?" Hope resounded in those last two words. She was just trying to please her master, nothing more.

George smiled. "Lucy, of course I am. I mean, you... you... it was you!" Sudden realization hit him. "I wasn't dreaming! You were the one in the bed that night! No wonder I didn't see you... I mean, you, the dog... what was with that?"

A shy smiled crossed her features, and she looked away. "Oh... george... I'm..." She suddenly threw herself at the boy, wrapping him up in a hug. The suddenness of the move knocked him onto his back. "I'm in heat, I can't help myself! Oh George, I love you..." She nozzled her head in the space between his chin and neck.

Of course, George was even more confused by all of thise. Lucy was pressed against him, her body literally laying on top of his. Her breasts squashed against his chest, and she straddled his legs in her fervor to try and hug herself around him.

George, stalling to try and get the love-sick Lucy off of him, said, "Lucy, I mean, I love you too, but... besides, I don't have a condom or anything, we..."

A low growl emitted from her throat. "George..." she said, leaning up to look at him. "I don't care." With that, she leaned down, and pressed her muzzle to his lips, kissing him. Ackward as it was for the boy, he got lost in the sensation. After all, she was beautiful, and he already had a bit of a hard on from just having her pressed against him.

He sat up, leaving Lucy in his lap as he surrounded her body with his powerful arms. He kissed her back, now with the addition of a hug to the mix. No longer growling, Lucy tried to slip some tongue into his mouth, hoping she could finally satiate all of the sexual tension she had been feeling for the past few days.

Soon enough, their kissing slowed down, and lips parted from muzzle. Panting slightly, Lucy, stared at George with those big browns. "George... please... I need this..."

George, at this point, knew he'd never get closer to his dog than he was now. He wasn't about to leave her with memories and fantasies. So, clowly, he pushed her onto the ground, staring at her body. He finally got a good look at her snatch, too, which looked as tight as it did sweet. He couldn't resist himself, so he simply leaned down and surrounded her hips with his arms. He gave her slit a gently lick, bringing out a small yip from Lucy, who was starting to breath very heavily.

He brought his hands to her folds, spreading her pussy lips wide, to get a good look at what he was to eventually fuck. The smell that hit him made his senses spin out of control. Drowning in the smell of Lucy in heat, he simply leaned in, licking her quickly. He found that by sticking his tongue in her cunny, he got the best response. So he did that, licking around, exploring with the pink muscle. Lucy was losing it too, though not from smell. The pleasure she felt was driving her off the edge, and she threaded her hands through George's hair, pressing his head lightly into her muff. It didn't take her long, but she hit her orgasm hard, screaming out loud and gripping his hair tightly. Ignoring the pain, George lapped up the warm liquids that flowed from her pussy.

When she had rode out the last of her orgasm, Lucy was panting more than ever, her breasts heaving with each breath. "Oh, George..." She gasped, ler legs still spread wide, waiting for him to enter her.

He was quickly pulling off his bathing suit, exposing his naked body. Lucy had seen some fine male figures in her time (both human and dog), but none held a candle to her master! She looked him up and down. Mostly, her gaze was down, staring at his rock hard shaft, which was now aimed right at her. She whined a bit, for the world sounding like she was begging for a treat.

He was glad to oblidge. George knelt down before Lucy's spread legs, and held his shaft in one hand, positioning himself. When he was ready, he pushed his tip in, ushering forth another whine from Lucy. Her tail was going 100 miles an hour, and he knew she was getting into this. He leaned over her, getting into a more comnfertable position. When he was set, he slowly slid his entire length into her tight snatch. He groaned. She was already so wet, but so tight!

She barked out when he hilted into her, her hands immediatly searching for something to hold onto. She found his arms, and she wrapped her front hands around his forearms. She was gripping hard, her body tingling with pleasure, feeling like her erves were both burning and shocking her at the same time.

George was now starting to thrust in and out of Lucy's tightness, going slow so as not to hurt her. That was a worry that he really didn't need, because Lucy was thoroughly enjoying every inch of George that filled her snatch. He eventually picked up on this from her increased pantings, moans, yips, and tail wagging. So he increased his speed, driving himself into her with more speed and more power.

Almost as quickly as before, Lucy felt herself on the verge of an orgasm. She was digging furrows into his arms from the grip she had, and her legs had long since wrapped around his waist. Her toes pointed, her moans increased in volume until, finally, she screamed out loud, her pussy tightening around his manhood. "George!" She cried out, gripping him with hands, legs, and snatch, miliing him for every drop he could give.

It didn't take much to drive George to his own orgasm. He hadn't been with a woman in a long time, and simply the tightening of Lucy's cunny and the feel of those warm juices flowing over his shaft made him moan out, his own orgasm coming out in full force. He exploaded inside of her, his hot seed flooding into her vagine, coating her inside. Lucy gasped when he finally did cum, jerking around several times on his shaft.

When they had both finally recovered, George rolled over , sighing happily. Lucy was, once again, laying on top of him, only now his cock was buried in her tight snatch. "Lucy... why did you never show me this before?

She whined, nuzzling against him. "Because... I was scared. I didn't want you to fear me. Thats why when you ran... I almost lost it. Don't ever leave me..."

He frowned. "I won't, but don't dogs... you know... have shorter... lives?" It was a morbid thought, but one he had to voice. He didn't want to be with her, only to lose her to old age.

To his surprise, she laughed. "Oh no. It's a front we keep. Our ancestors never shifted, and it affected them. Real dogs... well, our forms age as you humans think they do, but with regular shifting, we retain our youth. I'm as old as I look, twenty years."

He blinked. Wow, his dog was twenty? He had never realized that before! Smiling, he said, "Well... we'll need to find a way to hide thise. I mean, I dunno how we'll keep your secret hidden."

Lucy gave a mysterious smile, and playfully wiggled her hips, rubbing George's length inside of her. "Don't worry. You let me take care of that."

The next day, Lucy was nowhere to be found. The family searched high and low for the dog, but nothing could be found. No hint, no collar, no toy trail. All of her favorite spots were searched too. No results. Everyone lamented the loss, but nobody more than George. Frequently, he would leave the company of his family to pay visits to some of Lucy's favorite play spots.

When summer finished, George left, as usual. The plane that took him to his new home (which, consequently, was a college gift from both of his parents) arrived on time and without delays. However, there was a problem with baggage. An unclaimed pet carrier was found in a secluded corner of the plane. Inside was a rather forlorn Golden Retriver. The intercom called for the dog's owner, but none came. Eventually, though, a young, black haired boy came up, claiming the dog since nobody else was. Because the airport didn't want to deal with the dog, they gave the dog to the boy, who immediatly let the dog out of the cage. Nobody thought it strange that the dog followed the boy without question or command.

George came home early after his first day of college. Lucy was there waiting, already shifted, smiling. Her belly had grown already, signs of their pups coming in.

Man's best friend is a clever little bugger, no?
