The vast woodlands of the Pokemon world lived many different breeds of Pokemon.

Many of these breeds live in packs; mainly packs of their own kind, others chose solitary lives or preferred to stay with family.

One such solitary individual was a small Leafeon.

In her species she wasn't very small she was about normal size, but compared to a lot of the woodland dwelling creatures she was quite small.

She often spent her day foraging for food and hiding so as not to become food for someone else.

In another section of the woodland lived an Arcanine pack, they were all related in some way or another and often preferred to keep things in the pack, rarely did they let outsiders near the pack, no matter what shape, size or strength.

However one Arcanine, who was of different colouring to the others, didn't like to hang around in one place too long and often enjoyed wondering off.

Because of his unusual colourings and his strength there were a lot of females in the pack who would love to take him come spring mating season.

Fenrir hadn't yet decided whether he was going to find a mate for spring but he knew it was an important task; it was something he didn't like to think about too often.

One night, during the late weeks of summer, Fenrir had escaped his pack for the night and was exploring the parts of the woodlands he never truly explored before.

The moon was up high so he had a very clear view of his surroundings.

He suddenly heard the flapping of wings and jumped back, looking around to see a Noctowl taking flight into the air, It made him jump so high out of his skin that his rear end fell down a small hole and got stuck.

"Aww jeeez", he thought to himself, "If I cry for help I'll be the laughing stock of the whole pack" He sighed and tried wiggling his way out.

Mean while inside the hole was the little Leafeon, it was her temporary home and she didn't pay kindly to his toosh wiggling about in her face.

She growled loudly, which to any ears would sound like the growls of a small pup.

Fenrirs ears perked up "what was that?" he heard the little growl again and realised it was beneath him "Oh dear!"

He thought he was sitting on a pup and tried desperately to move off of it, which only waggled his bum further in the less impressed Leafeons face.

She smirked "you asked for it" she growled angrily and bit down on his ass.

Fenrir had never shot up so fast in his life; he landed outside the hole with a thud.

"OW!" He yelped and turned to see the unimpressed Leafeon staring at him from the hole.

"Well I'm free at least" he said trying to be cheerful about that "Thanks for freeing me little one"

The Leafeon growled and chuckled "Don't thank me, having your butt out of my face is thanks enough"

Fenrir blushed and jumped to his feet trying to seem like a gentleman.

He could tell from the Leafeons voice that she was a female.

She was curios, she had never seen a grey and white Arcanine before, she was thankful that he wasn't a predator of hers as the two species were distantly related.

Fenrir also regarded the Leafeon with suspicion "What are you doing around here? These parts belong to my pack you shouldn't really be here"

"I'm sorry Arcanine but I like it here, I've lived here for four days and I don't intend to move" she said slyly

"That's just four days Leafeon, my pack have lived in these parts for several years" He replied

"Congratulations" she stated sarcastically

"No, I'm sorry Leafeon" he grabbed the scruff of her neck and dropped her out side of the whole.

"HEY! This isn't fair!" she cried and tried to get up only to fall on her face.

Fenrir looked at her then noticed why she had fallen.

The Leafeons leg was bent round in the wrong direction, he whimpered for just a split second knowing this was his fault.

"Your leg, does it hurt?" He asked seeing the tears in her eyes.

She just whimpered in response, knowing he couldn't leave her there and that he couldn't let her leave, she wouldn't be able for forage for food or escape a predator because of her broken leg.

He sighed and picked her up in his mighty jaws, and like a mother tiger carrying her cub, he took her to his home.
