This is part of the Encylopedia (https://www.sofurry.com/view/550874), all entries in the letters Vv - Zz.

You may notice that there are some blank entries, I know these are there, I just haven't worked out the specifics for them yet. They will be updated in a future version.

I commissioned the picture used for this from Spypolygon (https://spypolygon.sofurry.com/). He is a great artist and is very pleasant to work with, so if you're looking for a commission go check and see if he's free!

Vallhallan Dragons

A Dragon Race which have feathers rather than scales. Their feathers have a variety of colours but the most common colours are white, brown, red and yellow. The Vallhallan Dragons are a large society of dragons that live in the extreme south of the Tribal lands*.

There are several breeds of Vallhallan dragons which have come from various mating with other species, while inter species breeding rarely produces offspring, the Vallhallan dragons have been very successful with breeding with various avian species with which have produced several prominent and desirable traits. These breeds have been made into 'clans', but most of these 'clans' are often just being used by the more powerful clans as what could be described as slave labour. There is little stopping these 'clans' from leaving their captivity other than their desire to maintain their status among society and allow their families to get the best in life. The Vallhallan Dragons are the largest tribe in the Tribal Lands*, they control a massive expanse of land.

Varja

A long piece of wood which has thin threads attached at either end and tightened until they produce a tune when plucked. Various designs have appeared from different regions as well as different materials and number of strings that they are fitted with. A simple yet effective musical instrument, particularly effective when combined with various other instruments such as the Jaruus*.

Vostroyan Wolves

Ww

Wraith Snake

A large under water amphibian, that are found in the Dalton River*. They can grow anywhere between 10 to 30 feet long, and has the body of a snake with fins along its length. Their venom is commonly sought after to create Xelar Ink*.

A carnivorous predator, it has been known to kill prey many times its size by wrapping itself round its prey and biting it repeatedly injecting its venom into it. It injects enough venom in one bite to cause the average fur an excruciating death within 1 minute.

(The) Waste Lands

A large expanse of land in to the south east of the tribal lands. Volcanic activity has made the lands dangerous and infertile. Pools of water will sooner peel the flesh from bone than quench thirst. Nothing can live or grow in this region and none know what exists beyond it. The Waste lands lie between two mountain ranges, they have been named the Demonic Mountains* due to the volcanic activity that never ceases and makes them too difficult and dangerous to traverse. Travelling by sea to the other side has also proven useless as the sea on both sides of the Waste Lands are littered with never ending storms, rocky out crops and sea monsters of all types.

Many rumour that Tridenn and Hesh'na gather their might here to protect their faithful followers of the Tribal Lands* from the horrors that live on the other side. Others have suggested that just maybe, they are protecting those on the other side from them.

Many have tried to traverse the land and most have never returned, the few that did where half dead from thirst and starvation and bore tales of the endless wastes that rolled on

forever and of fearsome creatures that defied logic and reason. Creatures of such appearance that none could find the words to describe them and the very thought of them caused many to die of fear just by thinking of them.

What lies on the other side of the wasteland is shrouded with mystery and rumour, most wishing that none successfully make it to the other side lest what resides there be worse than the creatures that lie reside in the waste land.

The town is one of the primary stops of merchants looking to purchase new wares or for those wishing to buy passage along the river on a boat.

Due to it's proximity to the edge of the wolven territory there is a high wolf presence in the village, particularly from the Enzo Clan*. The Enzo clan make large amounts of coin from this town by hiring out their ships to carry both passengers and cargo along the river.

Has one of the largest market places among the Tribal lands due to the large amount of merchants that pass through. The village is populated by a large variety of species.

The original village of Zangar was located in the Zangarian Mountains* which was destroyed by an attack of several wolven villages. This attack happened 16 years ago. It was said that in the mountains the hidden shrine of Jan'Zar is hidden in the mountain range and that this was one of the reasons for the attack. Most wolven Tribal Villages closely follow the teachings of Jan'Zar, the Guardian Deity* of War, and did not want their enemies to have in their possession the shrine of their most sacred of Deities. The shrine however was never found by the wolven tribes.

Zangarian Plains

After a combined attack from several wolven Villages the Village of Zangar* was destroyed and the survivors created the new village of Zangar* a few miles from the mountains which became a bustling trading village. Rumours suggest that some of the survivors from the last Houses of Zangar* returned to the mountains in order to continue their lives there but no one has heard from or seen them since.
