This is part of the Encylopedia (https://www.sofurry.com/view/550874), all entries in the letters Ee - Hh.

You may notice that there are some blank entries, I know these are there, I just haven't worked out the specifics for them yet. They will be updated in a future version.

I commissioned the picture used for this from Spypolygon (https://spypolygon.sofurry.com/). He is a great artist and is very pleasant to work with, so if you're looking for a commission go check and see if he's free!

Enzo Clan

A Clan of wolves which are renowned around the tribal lands for their ferocious fighting skills. The clan are Mordian Wolves*, they are frequently hired as bodyguards by wealthy traders in the Mordian Isles* and those who are travelling to other lands.

The clan distinguish themselves from others by the large snarling wolf tattoo, made from Xelar ink*, that they get somewhere on their body. Many have given themselves the tattoo to pass themselves off as members of the clan, if discovered they can expect a brutal death by the hands of any true member of the clan. In some cases the perpetrators have been forced to swallow a large dose of Wraith Snake* Venom.

The Clan accepts new members into it's ranks regularly once they have proven their fighting skills, this has made the clan more of an army than a clan. The clan is now split into two distinct groups, the head family which one can only become part of if they marry into the blood-line, and the secondary family which are essentially hired out by the head family as soldiers.

Members of the secondary family may only refer to themselves as being from the Enzo clan and not take the name of Enzo for themselves. Members of the second family may take the Enzo name if they are accepted and acknowledged by the elders of the clan for their achievements in battle, or if they marry into the head family.

Erythea is ruled by a royal family of dragons, but in recent years there was a betrayal, where the emperor was killed by his brother along with his family was killed and the brother became the new Emperor.

Galician Steel

Galice Anaris was a famous smith, by combining several different types of ore with steel, he created a metal that when worn by a dragon suppresses his ability to draw on their nen.

The metal is commonly crafted into restraints, manacles and on the bars of the cells. The metal seemingly absorbs and dissipates the users nen as quickly as they can draw it.

Gallium Steel

Named after the Guardian Deity* of Crafting. Weapons made of Gallium steel are incredibly rare and sought after, only a few known weapons are still known to survive to this day. These weapons as easily recognised by their distinctive black colouration.

Due to the fact such weapons are highly sought after many forgeries have been made. Such forgeries are usually recognisable to those with a keen eye for detail. But the real test of a Gallium sword can only be carried out by a K'tan*.

Gallium steel is able to channel, absorb and store the nen of the one who wields it. Allowing K'tan* to use their nen in new ways. This is what makes Gallium Steel unique to another metal. Many of these weapons were created by Gallium during the last great demon war. Gifted to the K'tan* as rewards for their heroic acts as they fought against the demon hordes of Maugan Ra* and the Demon Lords*.

It is said that Gallium Steel weapons change over time, matching the nature of the nen that they have absorbed in some way. However this is widely regarded as a myth. But this is part of the reason the weapons that these weapons are so desirable. Garavardian wine

One is used for the mooring of trading ships and boats. Another is used for fishing, where they have build several water farms where they breed and grow fish for efficient food production and the third one is used to store their war vessels.

The pools were named after a famous Yanzo Dragon* who came up with a strategy to drive off a large scale attack from the Mordian Wolves* three centuries ago. That victory allowed the Yanzo Dragons* to not only survive, but was a large turning point during the war, which forced the Mordian Wolves* to agree to truce in the war between the wolves and dragons; a truce which lasted for nearly a century.

Gir

A large area directly east of the Tribal Lands. It is ruled by the three Lion Prides of Gir, Krado, Lavi and Tsavo. To prevent fighting amongst the Prides, a ruler is chosen by a holding a tournament. The winner of the tournament becomes the ruler of the Land of Gir* for twenty years or until their death. This ensures the Land of Gir has a strong ruler, and gains the respect of all the clans. In recent years only the three Lion Prides participate in this tournament even though all other recognised clans may participate, this is due to the fact that after three centuries one of the three Lion Prides has always won the tournament.

Gir is around half the size of the Tribal Lands* and was formed when the the three Prides fell out with the Guarani Clan when they came to power. They assisted in outing the former royal clan Marijakil*, the Thalasis Clan*. They disagreed that the Guarani Clan* should have been allowed to come to power so easily. After their complaints fell on on deaf ears they left taking several smaller clans who sided with them along, together they formed their own kingdom, the land of Gir, named after the first chosen ruler.

Even after three centuries have past the clans of Gir still hold a grudge against the Guarani Clan* and are ever seeking ways to increase their strength, so that they can one day take what they believe to be rightfully theirs, and rule of the Tribal Lands*.

Gisbacl

An metal ore known only to be found in the Zangarian moutains*, named after a smithy who first used it in his craft.

In its unrefined form it has the texture of sandstone and crumbles easily, but one smelted produces a metal as strong as iron. When refined the metal is often used by smithies for a source of cheap but reliable metal for making weapons.

Weapons made with this ore are recognised by the slight green colouration that appears when a strong light is shining on them. Back when Zangar was known for it's smithing trade many smithies would add some of this ore to the stronger, more expensive metals during the forging process to give the blades the distinctive green colouration; as a sign that it had been produced in Zangar.

(The) Grass Lands

A wide expanse of flat fertile land that lies to the south of the Dalton river in the western most region of the Tribal lands. There are numerous species who make their homes in the Grass Lands but majority are equine races.

Griffin

The dominant race of Vak'Nal*. These creatures are as fierce as any feral creature, with the size and strength to allow them to over power most other species with ease but as intelligent as any anthropic race. They don't know common tongue and attempts to teach them have failed, as if they are physically incapable of using it. Their language to most seems to be little more that clicks and squawks.

Many view them as little more than simple savages, living in mountain caves, but that assumption is often quickly forgotten once they encounter a settlement of griffins. Once you are able to get beyond the language barrier and learn some simple communication you will find that they are incredibly intelligent and capable as any other race, but live simple lives.

The only time these creatures were known to have invaded a land beyond the borders of Vak'Nal was when Warlord Bluehurst managed to earn their trust and recruited them to his army. They proved to be the equal of three warriors due to their superior size and strength, and if they hadn't been routed at what is now known as Bluehurst Plain* it is thought that they would have plundered half of the Tribal Lands without serious opposition.

Guarani Clan

A Jaguar Clan and the current royal family of the city of Marijakil. They over threw the Thalasis Clan* and became the new royal family and have been loved and adored ever since. They have successfully defended the city from attack many times, none of their attackers armies ever managing to breach the walls.

Many of the clans in the city pledge their unyielding loyalty to the clan, none more so than the Tupi Clan* whose members have proudly formed the royal guard, a small and elite force who have diligently protected the Guarani Clan* for three centuries.

Guardian Deities

Most commonly referring to the Twelve Guardian Deities*. Protective beings that are usually hidden from the sight of mortals. Other than the twelve, there are known instances of other beings of power that offer protection or services to those they deem worthy of them, or if they pay an appropriate fee. (You can find out details of the Twelve Guardian Deities*here*.)

Gummi Tree

A tree that bears white flowers during the summer. It grows to about twelve feet in height. Vines grow from the branches and the white flowers grow from the vines. (The) Hidden Forest

A large forest which lies on the Eastern edge of the Rovarian Plains* and the Western edge of Zangarian Plains*. It is a lush and fertile land with a large amount of flora and fauna allowing entire armies to reside there for large amounts of time while staging an attack.

The head of the house is given the wrist-band signifying their status, it is a golden wrist-band with a large Firris Stone* embedded in it. This wrist-band is passed on through the generations, and once belonged to the first head of the house.

It is customary for members of the house to forge their own bands when they come of age and for them to forge the golden horn tips when they choose their mate. This is ceremony is traditional part of the coming of age for a member of the house. The House of Anaris is legendary for their forging skills, only the Archilles Dragons* can come close.

The House of Valelor prided itself on being both warriors and scholars both, a member of this house was presented with their band once they had both achieved the rank of warrior and could recount the history of the three houses of Zangar which the house recorded dutifully over the centuries. Once they had passed both tests they were considered to have come of age. Some said that this test was the hardest of all the three houses to achieve.

Houses of Zangar

The three clans of Zangarian Dragons* that resided in the Zangarian Mountains*. The three houses served as a hierarchy of their village, all of them standing on equal footing. The leader of one of the houses however were chosen as head of the village and it was decided amongst the houses who should lead. The head of the village could be over-ruled and also replaced so long as both of the other houses agreed on it. It was also known for the heads of houses to be removed by agreement of both other houses.

The head of the village could choose their successor in advance in preparation of the unfortunate event of their untimely death, as long as both other houses agreed on the successor. In the event of a successor was not chosen then leadership would pass to one of the other houses and the new head of the house that had held the title would decide which house would get to hold it.
