"Ow, dammit!" The fox muttered, slapping her neck, crushing the annoying little mosquito that had just helped himself to a taste.

Amy, the fox, her orange fur, glistening in the summer sunlight, sat upon the shoreline, her foot

paws soaking in the water of the lake, as she wiped the remains of the bug off of her hand, and returned

her gaze outwards onto the water.

A few hours in the past, she had been training heavily, a black belt in Tae Kwon Do wouldn't keep itself if she were lazy, the sun had been blazing in the sky at that point, so the ecstasy of the water on her feet, along with the warm summer air cooling her down, had given just the amount of relaxation she had needed.

She smiled a bit to herself, laughing as she grabbed a few pebbles and flattened rocks from the ground

near her, and began to skip them across the water.

"Yeah!" Amy said to herself, smiling brighter as she finally beat her personal record of ten skips, as the

rock splashed against the surface of the water eleven times before sinking to the bottom of the lake.

She was about to sit back down, when from the corner of her eye, she noticed another rock hitting the

water, it slapped against the water thirteen times before coming to a halt and sinking the same.

Amy felt a shiver run down her spine as she quickly turned around, she had already formulated a guess in her mind as to who would have thrown the stone.

It would have to be!, who else would be as asinine as to mulishly defeat her in such a small task, and as she turned around, looking to the source of the throw, she realized that her fears were confirmed.

"Hey." Said a cocky toned voice, erupting from a black furred fox, strapped from head to toe in different cloths and sashes, who looked down on Amy by a mere inch or so.

"Miranda, shocking seeing you here." Amy said, taking a defensive stance, as Miranda still held a stone in her right paw.

"Oh, well, I thought I heard a dying walrus by the lake, turned out it was just your training." Miranda said with a smirk, twirling the stone in her paw.

"At least I train, I didn't earn my black belt by flirting with the Sensei!" Amy quickly came back, this obviously influencing rage into Miranda, as the rock went flying from her hand towards Amy's face.

Amy knew her opponent's move would be to incite a duel between the two, she had been prepared for that stone's flying, luckily, as she twisted her leg into the air in fluid motion, kicking the stone out of it's goal's path, drops of water from the moistened foot hit Miranda in the maw, as she growled in disappointment.

Amy finished her high arc kick and let her leg hit the ground, twirling her arms until she reached the position of defense, she smiled and waved a finger towards herself, beckoning Miranda to charge.

Miranda ran towards Amy at full sprint before sliding onto the ground, catching Amy off guard, and sweeping her off her feet, she hit the ground with a nasty thud.

"Damn, done already?" Miranda said with a smile, jumping back.

"Do I look like your boyfriend? I aint done that fast." Amy smiled as she jumped back to her feet, quickly swinging a rounded kick into Miranda's rib cage.

Winded by the blow, Miranda stumbled backwards, she looked to the sun and mumbled a few words, before looking at Amy with a look of intensity.

Amy merely smiled, as she ran towards her rival, winded back, and gave a direct arc kick to her jaw.

"Gahh!" Miranda cried out as a few drops of blood flew from her hit jaw, she hit the sandy ground on her back, winded, and bleeding slightly, before she slowly got up off of her landing area, and raised her hands.

"You haven't lost your touch, but you will." Miranda uttered as she began limping away, her head hung in shame.

"We'll see, Miranda." Amy replied, as she walked back over to the lakeside.

As Amy stretched out along the beach, she laid on her now slightly sore back, and hoped that this was the last of her martial arts expertise she would have to exercise today.
