The next day Rob explained that partners were linked by a bond, and that when the bonds formed, the partnership would be forged, despite previous and other partners. He explained that since he had bonded emotionally with the kitsune clan, they become his partners and could stay in the real world. However, they would have to stay out of battle. The only registered battle digimonin the clan were Kitty and himself.
They returned home to find Kyubimon waiting at the door. "May I have my turn now my lord?" She asked. They had not stopped calling him 'my lord' since Kitsunemon had made him chief.
"I suppose, but can you all do me a favor and stop calling me 'my lord'?" Tempest asked as he closed the door behind him and turned to face the young digimon.
"Of course my lord... I mean Tempest," Kyubimon answered as she tried to lead him into one of the bedrooms.
On the way, they passed Taomon in the hall. She had heard the request as well and wrapped her arms around him before letting him continue. I have to take care of this," he said motioning for Kitty to follow.
Tempest had transformed into D-mon and stood before the foggy field. They entered the field and both were immediately thrown out by a sinister looking silhouette. Tempest shook off the shock and growled, before digivolving to Swordramon. "Stay back Kitty, this one isn't going to be easy," he said standing to take on this new foe.
