A red Chrysler ME 4-12 slowly drove through the parking lot. The driver careful not to run over the two Siamese twin cats that walked beside it going the opposite way. The windows were rolled down and the leopard driving winked at the pair of felines, reaching his furry paw out; his number written down on the card he held. The cat closest to the Chrysler took the card and giggled with her sister.

[Guitar entro]

A dark furred horse with a short mane stood in front of the hood of his car, a black Elise Lotus. Several females hung on his shoulders, trying to look interested about the engine inside. He wore a pair of black gloves, a no sleeve muscle shirt, and tight jeans.

[Drums come in]

A Doberman looked over his shoulder at a newcomer in a 2000 silver Dodge Viper GTSR pulled into the garage. The white furred female bunny in his arms pouted, even though she still rubbed her paws over his strong chest.

["They told him don't you ever come around here..."]

The driver of the Viper parked it in an empty spot, after honking the horn at some furs that stood in his way. He hopped out and looked around the massive parking garage. Furs of every kind were standing around their cars, or someone else's. A couple of females shot some glances at the black Labrador but turned away.

["So beat it, just beat it." (Pause)]

"Excuse me," the Labrador said loudly to a skinny female bear dressed in slim clothes. "I'm new here... my friend told me to come down tonight. His name is Santiago Marquez."

The bear looked him over and stuck up her nose. "Over there," she jerked her paw thumb behind her.

"Thanks."

["You better run, you better do what you can..."]

Two cars pulled up next to each other, engines revving. A lime green Mitsubishi Lancer and a black Celica C4R. Furs gathered on both sides of the cars, making just enough room for both of the cars to get through the crowd. They were cheering, clapping their paws together, pulling their cell phones out and preparing to take videos.

["... but you wanna be bad." (Pauses as the words come up Need Fur Speed: West Coast, then at the same time the cars take off when a fur gives them the signal to go as the music unpauses) "Just beat it! Beat it, beat it, beat it...]

The Labrador glanced over his shoulder at the sound of tires screeching as the two cars took off. The sound echoed off the walls and pillars in the garage. He stared in awe as the two cars were neck-to-neck driving around the garage. He knew underground racing was cool, but this was much better than the games at home.

"Andy!" he heard his name being shouted above the noise of the cars and crowds. Andy turned around and saw his friend Santiago waving his furry gray paw in the air. He smiled and ran over to him.

"Dude, this place is amazing! I didn't know there were so many furs on this part of West Coast."

["They're out to get you, better leave while you can..."]

Santiago, a gray furred wolf, chucked under his breath as he wrapped his arm around Andy's neck and pulled him back the way he came from. "Andy, please. All these furs here come from within forty miles of West Coast. Tonight's a big night."

"Why?" Andy asked as Santiago slammed a beer into his chest.

"Someone is gonna challenge Reeves."

["So beat it, just beat it..."]

"Reeves?"

"The number one member on the blacklist. He's held the rank for four years straight, with only three challenges in that time."

"So?"

"So, he's good. Okay?" Santiago shook his head. "Com'ere, I want you to meet my friend."

Santiago led Andy away from the race to a place in the garage where several cars were parked, along with their owners and a couple of other admiring furs. The Doberman with the white furred bunny stood there in front of his yellow Lamborghini LP560-4. Santiago offered his paw to the Doberman who shook it. Andy didn't recognize the canine.

["Beat it! Beat it, beat it, beat it..."]

"Andy, Kane. Kane, Andy," Santiago quickly introduced the two. "Andy, Kane is the dog that got me into this stuff. He's number eleven on the list."

"Ten now," Kane corrected, swatting the white furred bunny away. She looked at him, frowned and left. Andy watched her walk over to another male and start rubbing his pecs. "I beated Montrose tonight."

Santiago looked at Kane. "I didn't know you raced tonight. If I had, I might have done some betting."

"Then I would've definitely lost."

They laughed, and Andy felt a little out of place. But then Santiago wrapped his arm around Andy's neck and swung him around. "Com'ere, I wanna show you my newest lady." He led Andy to a pair of cars. A black 2008 Dodge Charger SRT-8 and a black 2005 BMW M5. Santiago sat on the BMWs hood, placing his hands to the side and grinned at Andy who looked stunned. "Here she is, a BMW M5."

["Beat it, beat it, beat it, beat it, beat it..." (The second series of three five 'beat it's before the solo)]

A loud vooming sound began to fill the air, drowning out all the other noises made by cars and furs. Santiago cursed and got up, looking over at the entrance of the garage. Andy jerked his head around to look as well.

[Guitar comes sliding in]

A blue Ferrari Aurea, decked out with a long spoiler, decals and neon lights underneath drove into the garage, going well over ninety miles-per-hour, while being flanked by two white Porsche Turbo 911s. Andy's jaw dropped.

The Ferrari came to a stop in front of the crowds with a loud screech, after sliding to its side. The driver got out, a light-brown furred Kangaroo. Andy figured it must've been Reeves, because the furs around him backed away from him. Reeves removed his sunglasses and stared out in the crowd.

[(Music pauses before the bass drums start and guitar solo)]

"Where's that bastard that thinks he can challenge me?" he said in a deep Australian accent.

A fur stepped through the backed up crowd. It was a panther, dressed in a white button up shirt, with a few buttons unbuttoned at the top and khakis.

"I did Reeves," he growled.

Reeves stared at the panther and grinned a smile that sent chills down Andy's spine. "Good. Get in your car."

The panther turned around as did Reeves, after he put on the sunglasses. Reeves climbed into his idle Ferrari and remained waiting until the panther pulled up next to him in his grey Lamborghini Reventón. Reeves rolled his window down and smirked at the car.

"Nice ride. And expensive," he commented. "And I hope you do know that if something gets damaged, that car is scrap metal."

"I know the dangers," the panther growled. "We gonna race or are you gonna chicken out?"

Reeves glared at the panther, who smirked back. Reeves rolled up his window just as the twin Siamese cats stepped out in front of the revving cars.

[(Unpauses)]

"One," the one on the left said, pointing at Reeves car.

"Two," the one on the right said, pointing to the panther's car.

"Go!" they said together, pointing in the center between the two cars.

[(Guitar solo)]

There was a loud screeching noise, followed by the smoke and smell of burning rubber. Andy cringed and held his breath. For a split second the two cars were going the same speed, until the Reventón pulled out in front of the Aurea. Several furs around Andy gasped, but they wasted their breath too early. The Reventón held first for a second longer before the Aurea shot ahead, using some nitrogen to give itself a boost, even though it didn't need it.

The Aurea remained an entire car in front of the Reventón for the shortest two minutes of Andy's life before they raced up and out of the garage, heading to the quiet outside city of West Coast, most-likely to race along the coast and casinos before they would return to the garage for the finish line.

["Beat it! Beat it!"]

Everyone was surprised to see the two cars nearly right next to each other. The finish line was only a couple hundred feet away. Suddenly Reeves car started to drift towards the panthers. The panther could do nothing but move away. But the panther adjusted his direction too quickly, and it crashed head-on into the guard rail.

["Just beat it, beat it, beat it..."]

Reeves remained in his car after crossing the line, but rolled down his window and glared at the crowd. He stuck a finger out at the smoking Reventón. "That is what happens when a bastard thinks he's got the balls to challenge me." With that he rolled the window up and drove away with the two white Porsches following him.

["Just beat it!" ends early as the words 'Need Fur Speed: West Coast' come up again and then fades into black]
