#1 of A Step Down

This is the first part of story of Eric Lannistre (not a typo), and his life. It's the first story I've ever written, so be gentle when you criticise it. Have fun reading! :D

While it starts out slow, this is an adult story, with adult (sexy) themes. If you are underaged, and someone asks you if you've read this story, lie and say no. And ask them why they are asking you these questions, 'cause those are some weird questions.

While I'm not sure yet what will happen with the story, I know that Eric is bisexual, and will act accordingly, so is you don't think you can handle it, I'm sure you can find your way out.

"Well, this certainly is a step down." Eric said to himself, "From an estate in one of the richest suburbs of New York, to a 3 bedroom apartment in Central Brooklyn."

"Hurry up, slowpoke!" Melissa, Eric's sister, said, taking him out of his thoughts. She hadn't taken well to the news about their father, and had been very agitated these past few weeks. Eric couldn't blame her really, she was four years younger than him, and didn't remember anything from the time before they got rich, and moved on to a better life, in a better neighbourhood.

"Yeah, yeah I'm going" Eric continued up the stairs to the third floor of the apartment building. Being sixteen years old, he could still vividly recall his youth, when his father still came home every night for dinner, and stayed home on weekends, to spend time with his family. But it all changed when the Fire Nation attac- no, but really, nine years ago, his dad would home later and later, spending more and more time at the office. He would no longer read to him and his sisters each night, all three of the kids already asleep when he finally made it home.

But Eric understood, his dad wanted a better life for his wife and his children, and so he would sacrifice his time with them to give them more money, better clothes, the newest cell phones, and after three years, when he was made president of the company, a new house in a new neighbourhood. He had seemed so happy when he came home early that night, and he announced they would no longer be living in that crummy apartment, but in a beautiful mansion.

And a beautiful mansion it was, a bedroom with an office and a bathroom for everyone, 5 spare rooms, a pool, and kitchen which was bigger than their entire previous apartment. The girls had fallen in love with the place as soon as they had laid eyes on it, but Eric didn´t really like big and open spaces that much. He would prefer a box over his new king size bed any day, but at least he now had some privacy, because he no longer had to share his bedroom with his little sister.

But size of his bedroom wasn't all that changed. Now that he lived in a mansion, he could no longer be expected to go to public school. But more on that later.

He put the box down in his bedroom, and headed back down to grab another from the truck.

"Only three more boxes, and then we're finished," He said to his mother, as they crossed each other on his way back up the stairs. She had taken the news pretty badly, and had smiled very little in the past weeks, following what happened to her husband. While she wasn't really comfortable with the rich lifestyle of the past six years, she really loved her husband, and was having a hard time believing what had happened.

After they had finished taking the boxes upstairs, the family began unpacking. While unpacking his things, Eric found a pen which he didn't remember packing. Shrugging, he put on his desk, and continued putting his stuff away. After he finished, he dropped down on his bed, and stared at the ceiling for a while.

"I wonder if the people at my old school will miss me..." He was hesitant to call them friends, because he never really formed close bonds with any of them. He wasn't bullied of anything, he just came to his new school after everyone had already decided which people were their friends, and which were simply classmates. And if you didn't fall into the first category after the first few weeks , it was hard to get out of the second one. Still, he wasn't hated by anyone, and he had a few people with whom he sat during lunch breaks.

"Maybe I'll make some actual friends in my new school." Of course, the move back into the city, came with more changes, he also went back to public school. Maybe he would recognise some people from before he got rich.

That was the prologue to my first story, A Step Down. Let me know if you liked it, and give me any advice/corrections/critique you can think of. Don't be shy, just write a comment down there.

If you really liked it, give me a watch, so you can know whenever I upload a new story.
