No Ordinary Festival

Hinata woke to his beloved sister shifting against him in the bed they were sharing. Her naked form pressing against his was as heaven to the wolf. He wrapped one wing around her chest as he hugged her closer with his arm. She rolled over in his embrace, facing him and smiling. He looked out the window and saw how high the sun was in the sky. She followed his gaze and looked back at him. "Today's the festival I guess." Tsukiko said.

"Yeah," He replied. "And if I don't get out there soon, they'll come looking for me."

She sighed contentedly. "Five more minutes love."

Hinata smiled and nuzzled into her neck. "Always."

They lied together for a little while longer, just reveling in each others presence. The love between the two twins was almost palpable in the air. It just radiated like a feeling around them. Somehow it even kept their parents and siblings away from whichever room they were in at moments like these. When Tsukiko asked why they heard someone walk up to the door and then walk away, she was always answered, "It just didn't seem like a good idea to intrude." So they learned to just trust in that feeling to keep their privacy. Not like their relationship was private, in fact the whole town had figured it out. Which was to be expected after four years. They had barely expected to keep it secret this long. But that didn't mean that their relationship was either actually public, or formal.

Hinata started to get up, breaking his sister from her reverie. "Five minutes already?" She complained.

He chuckled a little. "More like ten, I'm afraid." He got up off the bed and headed to the wardrobe. They had slept in his room the previous night since he had to get up early this day. Forgoing his normal leathers, and ignoring the formal outfit he'd have to wear later, he put on a pair of plain working pants, and fumbled for a plain cotton shirt, not unlike the ones that the nearby farmers wore. His sister watched from the bed as he folded his wings to his back and put on the shirt. He struggled with trying to get his wings through the holes in the back for a few minutes before sitting down on the bed and tearing it off. "Screw it. It'll be too hot anyway."

His sister pulled him down and straddled him, running her fingers through the fur on his chest. "I think your bare chest looks better anyway." She said, a hint of lust in her voice.

He laughed. "I know you do. But we both know that's not the part of me that interests you most." He grabbed hold of her and rolled so that he was over her.

She smiled up at him. "You're right. The most interesting part of you to me is your heart." She purred.

"Mo chroí?" He stared deeply into her eyes. "Tsuki, you are my heart. Always have been, always will be." He kissed her slowly, lovingly, ignoring how much time was passing.

Tsukiko broke the kiss. "You better go, they'll kill you if you don't help set up that stage."

He laughed. "Actually, I'm more worried they'll kill me when I take the stage."

She quirked her head to the side, her wings lifting as they tended to when she was confused. "What does that mean?" She asked.

Hinata smirked at her. "Oh, you'll see. It's a surprise."

Now she was really curious. "A surprise? For me? C'mon, give me a hint won't ya?"

He looked back from the door. "Actually, it's for both you and Ran. And as for the hint, let's just say that Yuuta and me have been practicing for a long time for this, and when we take the stage you should be in front of the crowd."

"C'mon, just tell me what it is." She told him.

He put on the best serious face he could. "Normally, I would. But I'm not going to this time. If I do, it'll ruin the effect, and that wouldn't be fair to anyone. Least of all Ran who doesn't even know as much as you do, which I suspect will change."

She searched his eyes and realized that for once, he wasn't going to crack under pressure. "Alright, I'll just wait then. Do I have to wear dress this time?" She asked.

"Personally I'd rather you didn't. But you should, trust me." He gave her an enigmatic smile.

"Alright, I give. But just because I'm wearing the dress, doesn't mean I'm going to dance with anyone but you." She said.

"I wouldn't have it any other way, especially today." He told her.

Tsukiko sighed and smiled looking up at him. "I guess I'll see you at lunch then."

He walked over to the bed. "Of course." He kissed her on the lips and walked to the door

He looked over his shoulder and told his sister "By the way, wear the dress that mother gives you. It'll be perfect for tonight" and with that he left the room to start what was most likely going to be the most difficult day he had ever faced.

Hinata worked hard helping to construct the giant stage, which had to be completely rebuilt every year due to the wear of the single night. He helped to hold the beams in place for the nails after they had been sawed into the proper lengths. The beams themselves were made of a native species of Oak, that wasn't as sturdy as other varieties but proved strong enough to last the one night each year. He held each beam in place while his father drove the nails with a heavy wooden mallet, their wings giving them better balance for these jobs than anyone else in the small town.

Hinata was finally starting to feel the strain of the day when he heard music, a flute being played the the beat of a drum, suddenly start as if out of nowhere. This strange melody seemed to be coming from miles away, yet sounded as if it were played right next to him. He listened to the tune for a minute or so before he felt his muscles stop aching. The pain that had previously started to seep into them was leaking out again. The family bard is near. He thought as he continued to haul the timbers into place and hold them there.

A little while later, the music escalated to a peak in volume, before dropping down to a more subdued tone. Now the two instruments actually sounded as if the notes they were playing were coming from where they were. Hinata heard the clacking of wooden wagon wheels on the half paved cobble stone streets, he looked towards the noise and saw the source of the sounds. On the wagon, standing on top of the driver's bench was a tall, handsome, Lupanos with grey, almost silver fur, his eyes closed blowing on a wooden double flute. The flute was currently producing an eerie tone that seemed to belong closer to the graveyard than to the heart of where a festival was going to be held. Sitting next to the wolf, reins to the horses in her hands was a voluptuous vixen with fur of a most beautiful shade of red-orange. Standing she would be just under the wolfs chin, and would show off her curves much better. Standing in the back of the wagon beating the drum, was a most peculiar person. He looked like the wolf in height and bone structure, but he seemed leaner, more wiry, and had the same fur as the vixen. His eyes lit up as he caught sight of Hinata, and jerked his head in a "come here" motion.

Hinata yelled to the relief workers that he needed a break, and broke away from the town square when a large muscular bear came to replace him. He ran down the road, being careful of where he set down his feet, and raced towards the wagon carrying the peculiar family. When he finally reached the wooden vehicle he grabbed onto the side and leaped over the edge and into the back next to the young male. The other male put down the drum and grabbed Hinata into a strong embrace.

"Yuuta!" Hinata exclaimed at him. "You made it. I was afraid you weren't gonna come." He said jokingly.

Yuuta laughed at his cousin. "You think I'd miss this day? You must think I have a heart of stone."

Hinata sighed happily. "Are you ready for this? We're making a big decision today."

Yuuta smiled at the younger male, and leaned against the side of the wagon. "I'm not sure, but then if I didn't go through with it because of that I'd never do it. What I still don't understand is how you convinced the cheif to let us do this."

"He prefers that people just call him Lono. He doesn't like all the pomp and stuff associated with the title. And I got him to let us because he's a friend, a great guy, I pointed out there's no actual law against it..." Hinata paused in his explanation. "And I called in a substantial Ba'ka debt he owed me."

Yuuta started laughing hysterically. "You actually convinced him to play you at Ba'ka? Was he drunk?"

Hinata smirked. "Only mildly. Actually he's not bad, even when he's buzzed."

"Really now? Did he ever win?" Yuuta asked him curiously.

"Only once. But I had to keep his spirits up so I could build up a large enough debt."

Yuuta shook his head amazed. "I still can't believe we're going to do this. You realize that after tonight we won't just be cousins anymore? We'll be brothers?"

"Amazing isn't it? Just think, in a few hours, we'll be on that stage either the happiest males on Condea, or being lynched."

The older male cringed, "I wish you wouldn't say that. It drains my confidence a little."

Hinata clapped him on the shoulder, "Don't worry 'Bro', I know these people. We'll be fine." He looked up at the wolf on the bench. "Isn't that right Uncle Kanto?"

Kanto stopped playing the flute and turned back to them. "Of course we will. Or all four of us will end up tied to a stake in the middle of-"

Yuuta cut his father off. "Stop right there, I've heard enough." He sighed. "I don't know, I guess I'm just worried that your sisters won't go for it."

The vixen looked back at the two young males. "With your singing voices, and your fathers playing, there's not a chance in all the hells they won't go for it. You've heard the story of the song." She said smiling up at her mate.

Yuuta smiled, "Thanks mom."

"Thanks Aunt Hatako." Hinata said at the same time his cousin thanked her.

"Speaking of the hells, are Tazina and her boys going to be here tonight?" Hatako asked curiously.

Hinata shook his head. "No, she said something about her "boys" getting jealous over who spent the most time with her these days."

Hatako frowned a little. "Too bad, I'd think she'd want to see some of her work come to fruition. But then I guess she just taught you, and didn't push you towards each other."

Getting uncomfortable with the turn the conversation was taking, Yuuta caught his cousins attention again. "Race ya the rest of the way to the stage?"

Hinata vaulted off the side of the wagon shouting, "You know it." as he hit the ground running.

Easily outstripping the walking horses, he was a little surprised to see an animal that appeared to be either a large more muscular fox, or a scrawny, ungainly wolf that was the wrong color streak past him. "That's not fair!" Hinata called out to the weird animal.

The strange thing looked back and said, "Ran thought it was very fair last time I visited."

Alright, natural advantages. My turn. Hinata thought to himself, as he unfolded his wings from his back and lunged forward, flapping them down hard to stay airborne and using his momentum to gain speed quickly. He passed the wolfox again just before they hit the square and was about three feet ahead when he reached the stage.

The quadruped hybrid hunched down by Hinata and started to glow, his form starting to elongate and become upright. When the glow subsided, his cousin stood beside him, just a little winded. "You didn't used to be so fast flying."

"I've had time to practice." Hinata said, his breathing slightly out of rhythm. "Besides, you'd be surprised what muscles certain activities can work out."

Yuuta laughed and looked over to his uncle. "Hello Uncle Firus. You feeling up to tonight?"

Firus hugged his nephew. "Of course. I had the idea the first time around didn't I?" He said with a wink.

"Lunch!" came a voice from the direction of the inn that Firus owned. The males turned to see a wolfess with white wing walk out of the building carrying a platter in each arm. She was a burnt grey-orange color and had obvious black tiger stripes in her fur. Her muzzle was shorter, and more feline than the rest of her family's, as well as her eyes were slitted. She showed her heritage more than her own mother whom she got it from. The female set the platters down on a table near the stage and was turning to go back into the building when her mother came out carrying two more large plates of food.

The workers were setting down their tools and walking over to the table when Yuuta shouted above them, "Ran!"

The female looked back towards the crowd, and spotting her cousin, ran towards him. She practically leaped into his arms and kissed him right in public view. All the workers pretended to find their food absolutely fascinating. "Yuuta, you made it." She said when she broke off the kiss.

"Of course I did love. I wouldn't miss today for the world." He wrapped his arm around her shoulder and started towards the table himself.

Ran seemed to read his mind as she stopped dead saying, "Ah ah ah. No Yuuta. This food is for those that have actually been working. Your wagon is just now pulling into the square so I know you haven't been here long enough. You can go find some food in the kitchen."

"Alright." He said in mock displeasure, kissing her cheek before walking into the inn.

Hinata noticed that his older sister was right and the wagon had indeed pulled into the square while they were sitting there. He ran up to his aunt and took the reins, allowing them to disembark and catch up with the rest of the family. Guiding the horses to the back of the large building that served as both home and place of business, he left it there for the stable boys to take care of and returned to the stage and saw that while he had been greeting his cousin, it had been finished. He walked up to where his relatives were gathered. "Well, I guess we'd better go get ready for tonight. We're going to go through with it, so we'd better be prepared."

Ran looked at her younger brother suspiciously. "Just what is this surprise you and Yuuta are planning anyway?" She asked curiously.

He smiled. "That, my sister, is something best left a surprise until tonight. When we take the stage, you'll find out." With that, he left them to go clean up and put on the formal outfit he'd been ignoring that morning.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

An hour before the start of the festival Tsukiko was holding the dress her mother gave her up to herself in front of her mirror in her room, mentally trying it on and seeing how it looked. She hated wearing dresses, they were absolute hell getting into and out of with her wings. This isn't bad at all she thought. The dress she held had been specially made by her own mother. It was a slim, nearly clingy thing that left very little room between her skin and the fabric on her torso. The fabric itself was an icy blue silk that must have cost half a fortune, and seemed to flow between her fingers. The front had been cut and sewn together to fit and be put on almost like her leather vest, though the cut itself was considerably lower than on her vest. On the lower part of the dress there was a set of trousers inside the skirt of the dress, while the skirt was very light and stopped six inches from her ankles. It shouldn't even get in the way when I'm dancing she thought to herself. But what she liked most about this special dress was the fact that it buttoned in the front and had specially cut slits in the back that not only let her feathery black wings through, but allowed them to move freely. She rather liked her mother's handiwork and thought she might wear this dress more than just the once.

She set the dress aside on her bed, and looked closer into the mirror. She stared at her own reflection making sure no fur was out of place, and that everything was where it should be. This was the third time she'd check in ten minutes. She had become nervous suddenly, feeling that her brother was the same through their empathic link. She didn't know why she was nervous, she just had a feeling that something big was going to happen at the festival and that it was going to change her life. She shook her head violently, trying to clear it of thoughts like that. It's just the moon festival. It happens every year, and it's not even our biggest festival. No one even comes from the neighboring villages for it. How could something really important happen tonight?

She walked back over to her bed, and began to put on the dress. But when it came to putting her wings through the top, she couldn't manage it any better than her brother had managed the shirt that morning. This is why I cut whole squares out of the back of my shirts. she complained to herself. Out loud she yelled for her sister. "Ran! Can you come help me a second?"

A minute later she heard someone padding down the hall to her door. She turned her back to it just in case it was someone other than her sister. When the door opened she looked over her shoulder and saw her sister standing there in a dress similar to hers, except hers had a full skirt, was dyed a dark, blood red and was filled out better in the top by her sister's more mature body.. Seeing her sister standing there with her pure white wings unfolded and outstretched, Tsukiko thought she looked like a fallen angel. "Wow." She said speechless.

Ran spun around, making the skirt float out for effect. "Isn't it beautiful? Mother worked very hard for a long time on these dresses. She said something about thinking she'd never be able to makes these for us, whatever that means. Anyway, need help with the wings sis?" She asked, walk to Tsukiko's side.

Tsukiko smirked at her older sister. "As always."

Ran stopped suddenly. "What? No complaints? No, 'Damn this thing, damn all dresses and damn whoever invented them.'?" She asked in false shock.

Tsukiko grinned and giggled a little. "This might kill you, but I actually like this dress. I think I'll wear it again sometime."

Ran staggered back from where she had been standing, clutching at her heart and raising her hand to the sky. "Oh gods, have mercy. Drive this demon out of my sister that she might be cleansed of this possession."

The younger wolfess started laughing uncontrollably. "See I told ya. Now come help me so I don't have to cause a scene when the dancing starts." She turned her back to Ran again.

Her older sister walked up behind her and pulled one wing through a slit in the back as she said, "Ya know, these dresses seemed pretty important to mom, she made a big deal that we wear them tonight. What do you think the surprise is?"

"I don't know, and I couldn't get Hinata to tell me." Tsukiko replied as ran pulled the other wing through.

She buttoned up the front while her sister said, "Wow, you couldn't get him to spill? They're quite determined aren't they?" She turned her younger sibling to face her and stepped back.

"You look gorgeous Tsuki. Mother really has talent for picking colors." She let a worried look pass across her face.

Tsukiko caught the look and asked, "You get the same weird feeling?"

Ran swallowed past a lump in her throat. "Yeah. Whatever they're planning, it's going to be a big thing."

Tsukiko sighed and thought of all the possibilities she'd come up with, none of which should cause the feeling in her gut. She jumped a little when the first song was struck up by the band outside. She looked out the window and saw the brother standing on the outside of the crowd looking around, probably for her. He was wearing the formal leather outfit she'd seen in his wardrobe that morning. It had been dyed a navy blue to go with her dress, and seemed to be quite honestly a suit version of what she was wearing, except his vest wasn't cut as low as her dress, much to her dismay. She really did love how his bare chest looked and felt. Looking around a little more she spotted her cousin standing close to him. He was wearing a pale red suit similar to her brother's except his was the only clothing without holes for wings in the back. She turned back to her sister saying, "They're waiting for us, I guess we better go down."

Ran nodded. "At least it will be a night to remember." She replied before taking her sister's arm in hers and leading her down towards the celebration.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Hinata rested his head on top of Tsukiko's. They were in the dance circle and were currently slow dancing right in the center, surrounded by their friends and family. To their left, their mother and father were dancing with their little sister held between them. To their right, Yuuta and Ran were locked together and looked as if they couldn't be separated with a pry-bar. Somewhere in the crowd, he knew their aunt and uncle were in a similar embrace, spinning in a slow endless circle.

He was extremely grateful for this restful dance because he, Yuuta and their fathers were to take the stage next, and he didn't want to be winded when he tried to sing. But for now, he just ambled slowly with his love in his arms, enjoying what might be their last peaceful moment of the night. He was dismayed when the song finally ended and they had to stop dancing. Everyone filed out of the dance circle and to their tables, taking a rest before what they thought was going to be the next dance started.

A large lion with golden yellow fur, a big bushy mane, and very long fangs stepped up onto the stage. He was no more than thirty years of age, yet had been elected to the office of village chief nonetheless. In actuality he had been more pushed into the role when everyone seemed to agree he was the best suited to succeed the old chief. He held up his hands at the front of the stage and bellowed in his great voice, "My friends. This is the night of the moon festival. Where we give honor and thanks to she who protects us in the nightmare riddled darkness. Long has this night been revered as one of our most holy nights, as well as one of our more lively parties." A small chuckle rose through the crowd. "But tonight is no ordinary festival, even if that be a contradiction in terms. Tonight, we have a special performance, as well as a special purpose. Tonight, the hero lineage wishes to play a special song for those they love." The crowd started to murmur, but thankfully did not seem even near angry. "And now, I present tonights special guest performers, Hinata, Yuuta, Firus and Kanto." The crowd applauded as the four males made their way to the stage and stepped onto the wooden platform.

Firus and Kanto took their places three paces behind their sons and held out their hands, Firus' containing what seemed to be a broken string, and Kanto's a small wooden whistle. Firus whispered a word to the string and it abruptly became rigid and grew to form a neck board, it elongated until at one end it grew round like a half sphere and at the other tuning pins formed at the head of the board. Strings grew from each end of the instrument and met at the middle, forming a perfect working lute. Kanto whisper to his whistle, and it started to grow longer, forming extra holes where needed. The closed end of the whistle shifted and formed a blow hole completing the wooden flute he would be playing.

Hinata and Yuuta stood before the end of the stage looking out at the crowd, as they started to gather near newly constructed platform. They looked down and saw their beloveds standing right in front and staring back at them. Hinata looked at his cousin, only to find him looking back into his eyes and they nodded to each other. "This is it." He mouthed silently to Yuuta.

Hatako broke away from the crowd and stood in front of them, she made a few signs in the air and mouthed a few words while a slight sense of power filled the air. She looked up at them and said softly, "To help your voices carry." And she melded back into the crowd.

The cousins looked back at their fathers and gave a nod, taking a deep breath as the intro to the song they would be singing was played. When the entrance was reached, they sang from the bottom of their hearts, their voices magically amplified by Hatakos spell. They sang the words to the song that they knew so well, that their fathers had sang before them.

"You fill up my senses. Like a night in the forest." They sang beautifully and in unison, timing the words perfectly.

"Like the mountains in spring time. Like a walk in the rain." They looked a across the crowd surveying the reactions, what they mostly saw was admiration, and something akin to sympathy.

"Like a storm in the desert. Like a sleepy blue ocean." Finally they stared into the eyes of those they were singing for, and saw the love shining in their eyes like beams of light.

"You fill up my senses. Come fill me again." They paused before the entrance to the second verse.

"Come, let me love you. Let me give my life to you." The gathered villagers began to sway in time with the slow ballad.

"Let me drown in your laughter. Let me die in your arms. Let me lay down beside you. Let me always be with you." Tears slowly began to form in the sisters' eyes.

"Come let me love you. Come love me again." Hinata looked towards Lono, who lifted his thumb at the young wolf. The chief was pretty good at reading groups. He looked back to his sister to find wet streaks starting to form on the side of her face.

They stopped for a time-filling solo from Kanto on the flute. Both he and Firus really were playing beautifully at that moment. When the entrance for the third and final verse came up, the singers were ready.

"You fill up my senses. Like a night in the forest. Like the mountains in spring time. Like a walk in the rain." they looked at each other, confirming that they were each going to go through with the next part of the plan.

"Like a storm in the desert. Like a sleepy blue ocean. You fill up my senses. Come fill me again." Even though the song was over, their fathers kept playing, starting the notes from the beginning.

The cousins, used the restart in the count to start speaking the words they had rehearsed so well, speaking in unison again.

"Ran," "Tsukiko," they started at the same time. "Tonight we share our true feelings for you. Tonight we share these feelings, in full public view, judgeable by our peers. Long have we loved you with all of our hearts, and long have we shown it. Long have these people known of our love and accepted it. Our hearts, bodies and souls have always belonged to you. In all ways we are mates except for legally. So tonight, with this entire village as our witnesses, we ask you. Will you be our mates? Will you perform the binding ceremony with us?"

The crowd had become deathly silent. Not one person made a single sound. Even their fathers had stopped playing. At first Hinata thought they were building up to lynch them, then he realized that they were waiting to hear the sisters' answers. Ran and Tsukiko looked at each other and stepped up the stairs to the stage, they each stood by their loves and looked deep into their eyes and as if they had rehearsed it as well, said together loud enough for all to hear, "After what you just put on the line, I'd have to be crazy to say no." and kissed the male that they each desired.

The gathering went ballistic. Everywhere hats were flying, people were clapping, whistling and cheering. The two couples stood absolutely dumbstruck staring at them all. One of the more drunk revelers shouted above the noise. "It's about damn time!"

Lono appeared next to Hinata on the wooden floor. "I don't get it." Hinata whispered to him.

The lion looked out at the small sea of villagers before said in his crowd voice. "I believe I speak for everyone when I say that anyone who would lay their lives on the line for love deserves to have it. As well as the fact that you are the children of the hero's of this world. Maybe no one else believes that but we know it to be true, and so we will always support you and shelter you."

Lono whispered to his friend. "That was damn good kid. If you hadn't convinced me before that song woulda done it." He looked out to the crowd and yelled, "Now I believe that the ceremony has been invoked. Bring out the arch and the priest!"

Tsukiko asked her brother, "So, this was your surprise? I love it." She kissed him lightly on the lips.

Hinata smiled at his sister. "I knew you would. Actually I was only worried about the townspeople. Guess I didn't need to be." He said with a laugh.

A couple people from the crowd ran to the back of the small church where the kept the arch for when special occasions called for it, while a couple more practically shoved the priest onto the stage. The old owl who served as the towns religious leader dusted himself off and spoke to those few gathered around him on the platform. "My children, this is a glorious day. This night two unions will be formed. And from them great good will come. I was visited last night in a vision by the gods, and they said unto me that I would be the sealer of what would be called elsewhere an "unholy union" but that this was the will of the gods, and that it was important that it happen because the fate of the world might rely on it." He waved his hand at what he had just said, "But what I really care about is your happiness my children, and as long as the gods are not against it, then I would have done this in secrecy if need be."

Hinata shook his hand. "Thank you father Moonfeather. Thank you very much."

The people who had fetched the arch from the church yard lifted it into position on the back of the stage and rejoined the crowd. The aging avian positioned himself in front of it and began the ceremony. "Who asks that they be joined in the eyes of the gods and their peers?"

Hinata and Tsukiko stepped forward announcing, "We so ask."

Ran and Yuuta stepped forward after them, "We so ask."

Continuing the ritual words the priest asked, "Do you vow to love one another, to support one another, and to protect one another in all conditions, through whatever this life and the next may hold?"

"We do so vow." All four answered at the same time.

"Do you swear to sacrifice for each other, to never put a condition on thy love, and to stand by each other forever and on until time doth end?"

"We do so swear." They said again.

Father Moonfeather rose his hands above his head and cried, "The gods have spoken and found these two unions most favorable in their eyes. They have said unto me that these two and two shall be bound together for all eternity. What say you their peers?"

A general cry of approval rose from the rolling sea of attendants, with only one naysayer who was promptly shut up by someone's fist.

The old priest turned again to the four before him saying, "With the approval of the gods and your peers, and by the power vested in me by the church, the village, and the pantheon of holy ones, I pronounce you bound and mated for all eternity and beyond until times itself does end and begin anew. You may kiss your mates."

Each part of a couple turned to their partner and kissed passionately. The crowd was in a veritable uproar of joy and approval. They cheered as loud as the could, in the ritual attempt to scare away any bad spirits that might curse the unions. Hinata broke the kiss and turned to Lono. "And the festival begins again." He said with a grin.

The chief yelled to the crowd, "Let the dancing and music continue!"

The original band resumed their positions on the stage as everyone else stepped off. They left the arch in place, and as was the custom, it would not be removed till morning. The music struck up again as the two couples made their way to the dance circle for begin the dancing. Everyone gave them room and watched them dance the first dance to a lively and celebratory tune. The last thing Hinata truly thought about for the rest of the party was how utterly wrong it could have gone, and how complete right it had gone.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Tsukiko and Hinata walked into the inn, and made their way towards what they had decided to make their room, having previously been Hinata's. When they reached the door, Tsukiko was about to open the door and enter when Hinata scooped her off her feet and carried her into the room, laying her down gently on the bed. He kissed her slowly, and lovingly. Enjoying the thought that she was truly his mate now.

Tsukiko lay on the bed kissing her brother and thinking about just what her brother had risked for the chance to stop hiding. He had risked not only his dignity, and social standing, he had risked his life, just so he could be with her in the open. She wrapped her arms around him and pulled him closer to her. She broke the kiss saying, "I love you Hinata, and I love what you've done for us. Now, if I may be so bold, get your gorgeous ass down here and do what you were born to do."

"Always love." Hinata replied as he started to take off his vest. He fumbled the large buttons from there holes and slid it down his wings to land on the floor. He bent over Tukiko and started to do the same for her dress when she put a hand over his.

"Wait," She said. She got up from the bed and walked a little ways away from him, swinging her hips gently. She turned towards him and started to slowly slip each button from it's fastener. When she finally undid the last button, she held the front of the dress closed and turned her back to him and opened it, allowing it to start falling. Hinata stepped up to her and helped her wings through the dress, letting it fall to the ground with a whisper of the fabric against her fur. She stepped out of the dress, and turned to him, revealing her perfect breasts with their erect nipples just little pink nubs.

Hinata felt himself start to grow erect in his sheath. He slid his trousers down his legs and stepped out of them towards his beloved sister. He reached his arms around her and locked his muzzle with hers. Tsukiko reached a hand between his legs and stroked his sheath, coaxing his erection out of hiding, and getting a murr of approval from her mate. She continued stroking him until his shaft was fully erect and visible, his seven inches begging for her attention. She pressed her hips against his, rubbing her slit along the length of his member, soaking it in the juices starting to drip from her sex. Hinata broke their kiss long enough to ask, "Eager are we?"

"Eager to drop the kissing, and move on for now." She said, pushing him onto the bed. She straddled on top of him and ran her fingers through the fur on his chest, enjoying the feeling of the muscle under her paws. She lowered her muzzle to his chest and lightly nipped at his nipple, tugging a little at the sensitive flesh. Hinata closed his eyes, enjoying the teasing, and slid a hand down her back and around to her own breasts, gently squeezing them and rubbing at the nipples with his thumbs. Tsukiko let out a small moan of ecstasy and anticipation. Hinata took advantage of the small break in her attention to flip them so he was on top, and brought his head down to her breasts, lapping at her sensitive nubs and grazing them with his teeth.

Tsukiko bit lightly at his neck. "Tonight, let's do it like the animals we really are." She said huskily.

"Gladly." He replied, starting to suck on her nipple. He slid a hand down her side and between her legs, felling her already wet and waiting sex. The realization that her heat had coincided with the festival that night made the blood pound in his head. He went down her body and inhaled the strong scent emanating from her mound. The pheromones in the scent drove him mad with desire, he placed his tongue at the bottom of her slit and traced it up to the top, flicking the tip on her clit. Tsukiko shivered at her brother's attentions, he knew where to touch her, after four years he had learned some things. He thrust his tongue inside her, moving the tip while it was inside her, tickling her inner walls. He left his tongue inside her as he grazed his teeth over her clit before beginning to suck on the little cluster of nerves. He pushed his tongue deeper into her sex, reaching for the spot he knew lay just within his reach. He finally reached the sensitive spot inside his sister, and rubbed at it with his tongue, causing her to gasp sharply and writhe on the bed. Finally he brought his tongue out of her and focused his attention on her clit, holding it in his teeth and sucking while he gently grazed it with his tongue.

Tsukiko howled loudly as she her first climax over took her, her juices soaking her brother's face. He lapped up the juices as they flowed from her, loving the taste of the lubricating fluid. When she finally stopped producing it she growled at him saying, "I said, we do it like animals. I want you inside me now. And I want you to take me as if we were true wolves in the wild." She leaned closer to him and whispered, "Fuck me Brother. Fuck me like you've never fucked me before."

Hinata pounced on top of her and brought his muzzle to her ear, whispering in a deep voice, "You want wild? Fine, but I'm going to make sure you're ready for me first. I'm not going to hurt you like that. But if that's what you want," He lined himself up with her sex and drove himself in to the hilt. Tsukiko gasped and shrieked a little at the sudden intrusion. "Then that's what you'll get." He began to pull himself out of her and thrust back in hard, hilting himself in her each time. Tsukiko's eyes rolled up in their sockets before she closed them and let her brother have his way with her. Hinata began to increase his pace, thrusting in and out of her faster with each passing second. He clamped his jaws down on the nap of her neck, biting into the folds of flesh and fur. He kept his pace even for a while, not wanting to finish too quickly, but couldn't control himself for very long. He began to thrust faster into her, his knot beginning to swell at the base of his shaft, causing her to moan and groan in pleasure. She was reveling in the speed and ferocity with which he was mating her. She was enjoying the roughness, and the biting on her neck. She started to thrust her hips against his, trying to match his pace, tensing her muscles to increase his pleasure. Hinata humped into her as fast as he could, his pleasure rapidly building, his balls beginning to become closer to his body. He knew in the back of his mind that she about to cum again, and he fed off the feeling in the link causing himself to come closer to the edge as well, his knot tying him to her.

Tsukiko let out a howl of ecstasy as her inner walls clenched down around her brother's cock, causing him to thrust as far into her as he could, releasing his seed deep within her howling around her neck in his jaws. The twins collapsed on the bed and after a few moments, Hinata finally gathered the energy to roll them over and maneuver them to lie down on the bed for sleep. He caught his breath while his sister said, "That's better." Thoroughly exhausted she drifted off into blissful darkness, lying on her brother's chest.

As Hinata began to succumb to sleep himself, he knew that he had made the right decision. And that he would never leave this most beautiful and wonderful wolfess in his arms.
