This is a little piece I did to practice "Fighting". Please let me know what you guys think.

He exhaled sharply, gripping his daggers in both paws tighter than ever. This enemy was unlike anyone he had faced before. His movements were erratic, yet precise. His attacks were random, but concise. The fact that he had even managed to block that last strike amazed him. Slowly, he pulled himself onto his feet, shaking his head from the clash. The cloaked figure stood not but 4 feet away from him. He was confident, whoever he was. He held his strange weapon straight out, almost tauntingly at Ento's chest.

...K..y..b.....de....

Ento's ears flicked at the utterance of the word. It was strange, though, familiar to him. He shook his head, attempting to focus on the task at hand. He dug a single paw into the ground, crouching down as he pushed off towards the figure. If I can block, I can strike! He convinced himself. He swung first with his left, dark blade. Almost expectantly, the figure blocked, and pushed Ento back. The canine couldn't help but smile at the predictability of his foe, and he dug his right paw into the ground as he was pushed, using the momentum to swing low with his right, lighter blade. He swore time slowed as he watched the blade edge closer and closer to his mark, almost holding his breath.

But as close as he had gotten, he was far from it in fact. The cloaked figure vanished in a sudden burst of shadows, only to reform a few feet away again. The figure composed itself and quickly took its position again, tauntingly holding his weapon out to Ento again.

..Closer.. to... darkness...

** ** Ento snarled at the words that echoed from his seemingly unbeatable foe. He could feel his heart racing, pounding harder as he stood back up himself. How?! I swore the blade made contact! He should be on the ground bleeding!

He eyed the stranger, breathing deep. He held his two blades up in front of him, sighing. Fatum and Exquiro, the blades passed through his family, were useless now. They had lost all their power in the Great Cleansing that wiped out the kingdom, and were naught but metal at this point.

The cloaked figure made the move this time, once against rushing up to Ento quickly. He braced himself for the impact as he crouched and crossed his arms, taking the full brunt of the blow as he felt himself get launched back a few feet. His blades slipped from his paws, and fell to the cold stoney ground, He groaned as he felt himself crash against the back wall, letting out a yelp from the impact.

His vision had blurred from the impact, and he raised his paws, reaching desperately for the blades far from him. His heart slowed, and his ears folded as he felt his consciousness slip in and out of existence.

And in that moment, something happened. The two blades glowed dimly and vanished from their spots. The cloaked figure let out what could only be assumed to have been a surprised grunt, and he dashed towards Ento, raising his blade. He reached back and threw his blade at Ento, watching it whirl towards the otherwise immobile canine. His lips barely moved, and softly, he spoke as he saw the blade close the distance quickly.

...Inveniam meum fati...

...Quoniam quidem omnes vos...

There was a flash of blinding light, and a loud clang. Slowly, Ento's vision returned to him. This is it.. I'm dead... he was convinced. But as the light dimmed, in his paws rested a new weapon, similar to that of his foe. It had blocked the figure's attack, effortlessly, and felt light as a feather in his paws. The cloaked figure jumped back a few feet, shielding himself from the light. Ento stood up slowly, eyeing over his new weapon as he held it in his paw. It was large, much larger than his two blades, but he could feel their power inside it. It was as if they had fused together into this... Keyblade..his mind told him.

He threw a glance at the figure and got into a new position. He hadn't been taught to use a sword, let alone this new weapon, but it came naturally to him. He shut his eyes and breathed deeply, opening them slowly again as he spotted the cloaked figure backing away slowly. This new weapon, whatever it was, had changed the tide, even if only by existing. This new gift, was what would help him stop the second Cleansing, and he felt a weight lift off his shoulders as the figure vanished slowly into the shadows it came from...

Fatum consilium...
