#3 of Astora

I have finally finished this....I've been waaaay too busy for this schedule so the last part I have no idea when it will come but it will!

Months have passed since the last time Dante and Justin seen each other. Justin was staying in Sindale since it had such a powerful magic presence there. Dante was in the palace, trying to get used to living like royalty.

"Ummmm, you really don't need to help me change...Or bath," Dante told the servants that stood in front of him. They always looked at him with respect instead of anger for having ann easier life than they do.

"But master, we can't have you paining yourself with such a demeaning task." They answered in unison, which bothered Dante.

"For the thousandth time its NOT!" Dante dark aura flushed around him again, this time more powerful and bigger. The servants fled the room weeping in fear as Dante groaned and had the aura sucked away from him. Dante wobbled a bit, then fell to the ground looking at the bed which had the aura pulsating on it.

"Yoohoo!" the aura dispersed to reveal Jester laying on his stomach kicking his feet back and forth. "I hope I didn't make the prince miss me while I was gone?"

"Like I would miss that annoying mouth of yours..." Dante said sarcastically as he stood up and headed to the bathroom. Jester shot up and off the bed following until a door met his face.

"Owie! Hey! I was going to help you get your back!" the Jester called.

"Your not seeing me naked, no one is..." Dante stripped out of his clothes and started the bath, filling it with hot water.

"I have seen you naked you know...I even seen you fuck that fox, you were so passionate with him. Hehehehehehehehe..." Jester cackled. Dante slowly got into the bath and laid with his body submerged. He murred in content with the heat and closed his eyes. "I still think we should fuck that Ashley girl together. She's so perfect!" Jester was now next to the bath looking into the mirror. Dante panicked and flailed around, then stopped to glare at Jester, growling loudly.

"How the hell did you get in here!?" Dante question then sighed. "Actually...Don't answer that..Just let me bath in peace..." He laid back down slowly, shifting a bit in the water.

"Yes my prince..." the last words the Jester spoke then went back into Dante. They have done that so many times it doesn't faze Dante anymore. After his bath he went to his closet to get dressed. The common wear for the beings on Izalith were a cloth robe that was a bit charred and burnt jeans. While royal families have a selection of clothing to wear. Yet Dante always chooses jeans and a plain color shirt. The color varies all the time. Today he was wearing red, one of his favorite colors. He walked off the palace grounds and toward the main square. The square was ran down and didn't look like it was ever cleaned. The cracks on the ground would show the lava underneath the ground when they shifted, various wrappers of various products litter the ground, and a single fountain lay in the middle. The fountain spewed out red liquid, which periodically had dark ones drinking from it. Dante sighed and sat at the edge of the fountain, looking into the red murky water.

"Hey hey hey!" A cheery voice came from behind him. Ashley hopped over to him with a wide smile on his face. "Guess what?"

"Yes Ashley?" Dante looked back at her.

"Yes indeed, what would like Ashley?" Jester stared at her, drooling over her figure. She ignored her and hopped to Dante, Jester drooled even more watching her body go up and down.

"I got my house today! Isn't that great!?" She said, giggling to herself. "It took a while because of the currency here, what was it called...Pestas? Whatever and what made it unbearable is that I had to live on the land, not in a house nor a shelter."

"If you would have asked I would've arranged a room for you in the palace." Dante said, getting up and walking out of he square. Ashley ran up next to him with the Jester floating behind her.

"I know you offered me that alright, I said no for a reason. I take no charity, no matter how much I need it. I work for my things!" She was proud of getting her own house by herself. Dante didn't think of it as a large accomplishment yet he smiled and nodded approvingly. They walked together throughout the kingdom, similar to the way Dante did with Justin. Dante couldn't help but walk everyday like he used to. He did it some many times it just came naturally to him, which was fine by him. Though he was never allowed outside of his kingdom, the guards wouldn't allow it. The only way he could get out of the kingdom is with an escort to the other royal family's kingdom. There was to much evil out in Izalith for one from royalty to be safe. One step outside the kingdom and Dante would get attacked. Either killed or made into a sex slave, and Dante knew this. Thats why he kept Ashley inside the kingdom.

"I'm bored...How about we go to another kingdom and have a meeting or something." Ashley sighed and stopped, sitting on a bench looking at the royal garden.

"We could, Michaelis!" Dante called for his butler who jumped down from a window down to his master's side.

"Yes my lord?" He said softly, bowing down to Dante.

"Could you call up Franz for me please? I wish to have a meeting with the royal families."Dante told him, walking past him and headed towards the exit. "I will change into something more appropriate," he walked inside leaving Ashley in the garden.

"Well uhhh, yeah I'll be there, don't worry." Ashley loved the garden, she always helped the gardner water the flowers and tend to them. The royal gardens are the only places with flowers. The rest of Izalith being on fire and destroyed as well as having savages running around and attacking people never had any flowers. Dante went and put on more presentable clothing fit for royalty. He wore white pants with a white shirt and white robe around him. The Segetsus were notorious for wearing all white, so Dante was forced to pick up on this. When he was finished dressing himself, he went outside and into the carriage that transports royalty from place to place. The elite guards stationed themselves all around the carriage while a pack of four set themselves in front, walking ahead towards the gate. Dante had his sword, the sword that Justin gave him, just in case of anyone tried to attack them. The gates opened and the convoy began its march through the treacherous land. When the gates closed behind them, all feelings of secure and safety left them in an instant. The air became cloudy and hard to breathe, screams and yells of bandits were now audible to them all. Then a lone arrow flew through the sky and hit the driver (Don't know the proper name for him..>.<) of the carriage, causing an abrupt stop. Dante jolted forward then jumped out looking around, seeing a bunch of bandits with torn red shirts.

"Oh fuck! Bandits!!!!" One of the guards screamed as he readied his weapon. The others did the same as well as Dante, looking at them.

"They aren't strong! Its the rebels, we can take them!" Dante encouraged as he blocked an attack. The guards were no force to be reckoned with, taking on most of them ass only a few went for Dante.

"Don't kill the prince, we can use him!" The raid leader screamed as he directed the wolves and foxes. Dante dodged most of the attacks and occasionally blocked a few with his sword. He never used a shield since he knew it would only slow him down. After a few minutes the leader began to be nervous. "Retreat!!!" They all scurried away, leaving their wounded and dead behind. Dante sighed and looked at all the bodies that now surround the carriage, one guard lay dead with the other bandits.

"Damn...They can't even get a proper burial poor bastards..." one of the guards said.

"We have to keep moving before they come back." Dante said, beginning to walk along the path. One hour passed as they arrived at Franz's kingdom. It was a lot bigger than the Segetsu kingdom, since it was more elegant and clearly showed. They entered slowly as the guards went off to mingle with the other guards, Dante went to the castle where Ashley was waiting already.

"Hi hi Dante!" She waved happily and giggled.

"Hey, how do you always get here faster?" Dante questioned, Jester appearing behind him and grinning at Ashley.

"Yes, how does that fine ass make it here so fast?" He said getting closer to her.

"Will you quit it!" She punched him away from her sighing. "And thats a secret! hehehe..." Dante never understood how she would get there before him. There was a series of tunnels which were only known by the Legion, another clan throughout the land of Izalith. The Legion and the rebels never liked each other ever since a small white lie. Since Ashley fell in the land of the Legion, she is considered a Legion and can use the tunnels. Dante also fell into the land of the Legion however he is of royal blood, which makes him a Segetsu and not able to know. They walked to the meeting room where the other royal blood sit in debate.

"We should attack Astora! They remain safe for too long!" Vladeski yelled, his scales turning red with anger.

"No we can't! We would be destroyed! Ripped apart!" Sonia argued, getting up from her chair. Franz stayed at his end of the table, wrapping his big fluffy tail around himself.

"Shut it you bitch! How you are of royal blood I will never know!" His wings fluttered a bit in anger, shooting wind gusts over to Sonia. She drew her sword and stepped on her chair to get ready to jump.

"What did you call me you worm!?"

"Shut your mouths both of you and take a seat!!" Dante commanded and sat at the head of the table. Only small whispers could be heard until total silence. "Now I brought you all here to discuss our plan of action. Any suggestions ladies and gents? And don't yell, I already have a migraine dealing with bandits..."

"Well I believe we should attack Astora! We have what we need to cross over and I'm pretty sure all of us here can take care of Solaire." Vladeski said calmly. Dante nodded,

"Yeah, we might though we would need a lot of help to get past all the guards. So until we get an army, we won't be able to attack."

"Well...I guess we can use Legion and the Rebels, their numbers combined are enough to outnumber the Astora royal guard." Sonia chimed in. Sonia was apart of the royal guard before she was casted down to Izalith.

"Good, see? We're getting somewhere now." Dante said leaning back in his chair.

"Hmmmm, well how are we going to convince them to fight on the same side? Its not like they are going to agree with us and help us fight." Vladeski remarked, getting up. "We could easily just kill the leaders and have them under our wing." He stretched his wing a bit. "Then we'll have the army at our knees searching for guidance."

"As interesting as that sounds, I have a better idea. Instead of killing anyone we could just buy them out. Bought trust isn't the best kind of trust but I'm sure they will accept my sale." Dante grinned to himself. His eyes fixed on a ball in his paws, his eyes having that lust of power and deception. The same look he often got when he had a devious idea.

"Thats cute, because we have everything they want!! We have nothing but our little plots of land that we call our homes! Because they want our heads remember!?" Vladeski yelled, the sarcasm in his voice was sharp.

"First correct your tone when you talk to me! Second, this is for me to know and for me to go through with this plan. If it works, there will be another meeting tomorrow." Dante screamed back at Vladeski, who cowered back to his chair. Dante got up and started walking towards the door, Ashley following behind him. "And if not, there will be no meeting to discuss our plans. Dismissed!" Everyone sighed in relief and began casually talking to each other as they began to leave as well. Dante waved his convoy away, dispersing them to join other convoys. He walked off the ground and looked to both sides of him. "Now which one to go to first..."

"You should go to the Legion! I could escort you through the mine field. Since I'm sure there would be no one that would let you through without a hassle." Ashley suggested jumping to his side.

"Thats a good idea, though he could go to the Rebels since it would be harder. Have the easier path done last for an easy day master." Jester said, appearing behind Ashley. She jumped away from him and growled softly.

"Will you shut up and just disappeared?"

"He has a point.." Dante said. "An easy day is what I would like, it would be nice anyways." Ashley sighed and looked away from him.

"Fine I'll be at the gate to Legion territory." She stormed off leaving Jester and Dante to start walking towards the Rebels. The Rebels didn't have any gate or any real markers to mark their territory besides a red flag the waved menacingly slow. The ground also seemed to glow a dark red past the flag. They walked on through the Rebel territory, getting deeper into one of the dangerous places. Jagged rocks spotted the landscape as well as pools of lava. It was strange though, there was no one anywhere. Not even the civilians (Rebels that don't fight but reside on their side) that the Rebels have were able to be seen.

"Hmmm, where is everyone?" Dante asked, looking around cautiously. Jester looked around as well, for once a serious look on his face. It didn't fit him at all

"Well I think we are about to find out..." Jester walked into Dante, giving him his power back. At that moment, four dragons circled Dante in the sky, then flew down and perched themselves on rocks.

"Who are you trespasser?" One of them growled out. Each of their moved around slowly, Dante could see that their eyes were closed shut.

"My name is Dante Seg..."

"Dante!? How dare you defile our land with your foul presence!" Another dragon screamed, getting off its perch and moving its head a few feet away from Dante's.

"I wish to speak with the leader of the Rebels. I have a proposition for him." Dante said calmly.

"Hmmmm, we will be back." The dragons flew back up into the air and away.

"How rude...Just leave a nobleman by himself." Dante sighed and looked around. "And not a single place to sit..." One dragon flew back and hovered above Dante.

"You may come and talk to our king." Dante smiled as the dragon took flight again, Dante following him on the ground. He walked for a good while, then a castle appeared out in the distance. The slow fade in of the castle was fitting for it, it was tall, taller than any of the royal castles. Though the castle wasn't as fancy or nice as the other royal castles, it was blood red with what looks like spikes coming out of the ground. They reached high into the sky and at the top were were search lights which beamed down at Dante. It tracked his movements closely as the rebel army became visible. The army was barely classified as an army, each Rebel wasn't even wearing armor. They were armed with measly swords and some with bows and arrows. Yet the individual load-out wasn't where the army shined, it was in brute strength of numbers. There were Rebels all around the castle, stretching as far as the eye can see and beyond. Most fallen ones fall on the side of the Rebels, especially since they cover most of the land. The dragon flew down to the side of the door, opening it slowly. "This way..."

"Thank you sir." Dante thanked the dragon and walked past him. Into the mainn hall Dante went, looking around. He saw more Rebels, however these were different. These were outfitted with armor and what looked to Dante like enchanted swords. They glowed ominously with a bright red color. A fitting theme for the place, Dante thought as he walked deeper into the castle. Soon he came to the throne room, which had the leader of the Rebels sitting on the throne surrounded by girls and men. It seemed as if they were under a spell to be attached to him. Speaking of the leader, his name was Kasper Slovinski, an orange and red fox that seemed to be like a dictator in this land. He never let anyone come into power, nobody could have a negative view of him, nobody could even do nothing in the kingdom. Everyone has to do something beneficial to the kingdom, or they will be killed.

"Ahhhhh, Dante Segetsu. You've made it to my lovely throne room. I'm sure your used to the kind of treatment I'm receiving right now am I right?" Kasper asked, trying to have a hint of sophistication in his voice.

"Well no, I don't like being adored or anything like that. I'm simply a figure thats all." Dante replied, still looking at the architecture.

"Hmmm, I know your lying but whatever. What did you want to talk to me about?" His sophisticated tone gone now, only a cocky and irritated one remained.

"We need your help, we are going to be attacking Astora and we need an army ourselves if we wish to combat with the royal guard. Thats why I'm asking for your help as well as Legion's help." Dante explained.

"And what makes you think I will work with that stuck up fox?"

"No one said you will work with them. We just need the royal army out of the way so we can get to Solaire. Do whatever you wish to make that happen, though I was thinking of you fighting the Legion in Astora. I'm sure two giant armies fighting on their land will get their attention. And if it doesn't, well your still fighting Legion. And depending on the outcome, you will be able to get some land out of it."

"Oh really? How much are we talking about?"

"Just enough for you to plant some forces in Astora, I want to be in Astora, not conquer it." Dante walked closer to the king, the guards also getting closer to Dante.

"Why not just conquer that puny land? If you won't, I will. And I will rule it well don't worry, and you can rule Izalith." He grinned, not showing any fear for himself as Dante was right at the edge of his throne.

"Well you do that, and see what happens afterwards. I just want my family legacy to feel complete. I want the Segetsu's to at last have stepped one leg into Astora and stayed there for more then just a week."

"Is that really all you care about? How sad, you could be a good leader yet you wish to be under my rule. Well do as you please, don't let me get in your way." Kasper giggled devilishly and went back to his other guests. "Now leave, I have girls to please."

Dante sighed and escorted himself out of the castle, trying not to curse any of the soldiers but instead wish them luck. He walked out of Rebel territory and back into the Royal's territory. He noticed some Rebel raiders going back to their kingdom, and he also spotted some Legion raiders going back to their side as well.

"Hi you!" Ashley exclaimed, causing Dante to jump up in fright.

"AAhhh! Oh hi there, please don't sneak up on me like that." Dante sighed and looked at her. "Did you tell the Legion leader about the plan? I seen Legion raiders going back"

"Well I told her you have a plan for both Rebels and Legion. And she just brought all of her troops back." She looked around. "I now see how desolate this place is with knowing that they're not there."

"Hmmmm, well I guess I better talk to her." Dante said setting off for Legion territory. A guard came running to Dante and stopped him.

"Sir, I came to inform you that we have captured an Astora spy!" He said, a hint of joy in his voice.

"Oh really? Well then take me to where he is being held at once. Ashley go tell the Legion leader that I will be there momentarily. I have to deal with this." She nodded and walked away. The guard escorted Dante to the dungeon of Franz's castle, which wasn't ass comforting as the rest of the castle. Blood was stained on the walls, various torture tools littered the floor. Screams of agony constantly play through the halls of dungeon. The torches dimly lit the hallway that Dante walked to get to the interrogation room. He opened the door and was quite surprised to what he saw. He saw an orange fox shivering in constraints, whimpering loudly. The sounds of the shackles shaking were echoing all around the room. The fox was completely naked with cuts all over and blood running down his body. Robes and a staff off to the corner of the room guarded by one of the guards. The fox looked up and its eyes grew wide.

"What a surprise..."
