-the whole point of writing the previous chapter from Becky's point of view was to give you an insight into her emotions and feelings toward Patrick.

I looked the test over as many times as I could count, but every time I did it read the same... Positive. I was pregnant and I couldn't tell if I was happy or disgusted. I love Patrick so much, I couldn't bear it if this drove him off. I guess somehow I'd have to tell him.
now we go back to Patrick's point of view
The box under the bed had a pregnancy test in it. If she used it and it was positive it would make me so happy. We could have a real life together , me Becky and a kid, not to mention blaziken and Helios. Then she walked out of the bathroom, looking rather shaky. I stood up and walked over to her.
"What did it say?" I asked her, hoping it was positive.
"What did what say?" Becky asked me, trying to play dumb because she didn't know i knew . I just stared at her for a minute until her defenses broke. She dropped down and cried on her knees, her hands covering her face.
"Positive" she cried. I was speechless, I couldn't have been more happy. But why was she sad? This is great!
"Why are you crying?" I asked her, wrapping my arm around her shoulder. That seemed to make her feel better. Then she told me about how she thought I'd leave her.
"That's ridiculous, I couldn't be more happy." I told her ecstatically. She latched onto me and hugged me tight. We both loved each other so much it hurt, cheesy as that may sound, it's the truth. I had so many possibilities running through my head, even more preparations I had to make. So much to do, so little time... Actually I had ten months, but that's not the point.
"Now what do we do?" She asked me, and honestly I didn't know. We'd have to play it by ear I suppose.
"Now we celebrate" I told her, already forming a plan as to how we could do that (dont get your hopes up, it's not an orgy). We could throw a party, invite Greg and Alandra. We could invite commissioner Gordon and his new girlfriend, we had never actually met her yet though. we might even invit Anne, that is if she isn't too far away, I have her number for buisseness reasons, but she travels and could be pretty far off.
"We should throw a big party and invite our friends" Becky said, she had a strange ability to always say what I'm thinking. So i got busy making food with my limited supplies while Helios went and grabbed some food at the grocery store. I grabbed some of my good wine off the wine rack and set out some shot-glasses. By the time Helios got back I was already half way done setting out the food.
"Took you long enough" I jeered at him, It was all in good fun though. Becky had already called everyone and they would be here in about an hour, half that in Anne's case; she turned out to be closer than I thought.
By the time we got all the non-cook food out, such as cheese plates, mini sandwiches and sodas, the guests had arrived.
"Hey Greg, Alandra! How are you?" I asked when they showed up. Anne had already been eating the mini-sandwiches for a while, luckily we had tons of them. Eventually everyone showed up except Gordon, he called about ten minutes ago saying he'd be here soon. Then he opened the door and walked in with... Was that officer Jenny?
"Damn Gordon, I knew you had a date but I didn't think it would be within your on agency" I said to him, rather astounded that he would break his own rule.
"Yeah, we'll I never planned on it, but it just kind of happened" he told me, still rather embarrassed about having an open relationship. That's Gordon for you, always socially awkward. Now that everyone was here, it was time to tell than all why we were having this party.
"Ok everyone, I have an announcement to make" I .started, all eyes on me.
"As of today, my girlfriend Becky is pregnant!" I announced, I had a bunch of cheers from everyone, all except Anne, who sulked into a corner. Maybe she was a bit jealous? Everyone returned to the party, everyone congratulating Becky. I walked over to Anne and figured I'd set the record straight, so to speak.
"You look a bit sad Anne, you wouldn't happen to be jealous of Becky would you?" I asked, trying to be serious.
"I guess I wished you'd end up with me" she said, tears visible in the corner of her eyes. She was genuinely sad, happy for me, but sad for herself. If I were in her position I would probably feel the same. But I honestly never knew she had feelings for me, she never actually said anything.
"Listen, let's just enjoy the party, ok?" I said trying to cheer her up as much as I could. I felt bad for her, the man she loved being taken by someone she didn't even know. I went back to the party and had some conversations with everyone, I particularly enjoyed talking with Greg. We had a discussion about different materials I could use for explosives, he was recommending thermite. Thermite works well, but I was thinking more on the side of nitroglycerin.
"So how did you end up with Gordon?" I asked Jenny.
"Well, we were on an investigation and one thing led to another. Soon enough we were dating" she said, I guess that's about similar to how Becky and me ended up. I walked around for about ten minutes talking until I decided to put the burgers on the grill. I started up the grill and stuck about ten on the rack. After adding a secret spice that I mixed up, I let them cook.
"Burgers are ready!" I yelled as I brought a tray of the finished food inside. These people were like piranhas, grabbing all but one almost as fast as I could set the tray down. I grabbed the last one and chowed down, I must say it was pretty damn good. the rest of the party went by rather quick, people leaving and offering more congratulations to Becky. Then it was us and Anne. It was already late and she had had a few drinks too many, so I offered to let her stay with us for tonight.
"Thank you" she said, her voice slurring just enough to be noticeable. I lay down on the couch and turned on some tv, Becky and Anne went back to my room. Today worked out rather well, the party was great, everyone enjoyed themselves and I would soon be a father.
