Here is the first upload of my edited RJ's Adventure, the next couple chapters are just changed chapters making RJ a wolf now from a different world, now called Robert. RJ seemed kind of a childish thing.

Wolf in a Different World

Prologue: A Different World

Thunder rumbled into the night sky in a small town as a nearby storm was rolling in, the wind starting to pick up and blow through the tress of a nearby forest. But our story starts in a small building along the edge of the town, the local orphanage, which has had a wonderful reputation for great kids and amazing caretakers all trying to help get the children a home. That is until recently.

Just under a year ago, the head caretaker, an older feline woman whom the kids all loved and were always willing to help when she needed it, passed away. It was a sad sight, all the kids of the orphanage attending her funeral, and many whom she helped gotten homes and loving families were in attendance as well. Many were wondering who would be taking over, and the children were all hopeful of someone who was just a nice as her, but sadly this did not happen, as the one who became head caretaker, was the woman's oldest daughter, who despised children.

Day after day she would force the kids to do all the work around the orphanage, cleaning, cooking, washing, all while she lazed around and horded all the money the orphanage received for her own use, spending the bare minimum on the children. She was a cruel woman, always hitting the children for the smallest mistakes and making an example to the others through fear, and one young wolf pup, only three years old, couldn't take it anymore.

The storm was quickly rolling in, but this wasn't stopping young Robert, the young wolf pup with a unique blue fur color, from staying up past the time that the children were to be asleep, packing a small children's backpack with what little he had. A few toys that he managed to keep hidden, and who he saw as his only friend, his stuffed tiger he called Stripe.

The last straw for young Robert came just a few days before, after almost a year of the new caretaker being in charge. He was being forced to scrub the floors all day, and several times since she said that he didn't clean them enough. As he was trying to finish again just so he could have his dinner, he had to lay down for a break, just too tired to continue. He was going to for only a moment, but it was a moment to long and she found him slacking off. Even at only three years old she grabbed him by his tail and pull him up and yell at him for being lazy, the initial tug to pick him up was a rough one, making him yelp and cry in pain from it. Ever since he has been able to move his tail on it's own, and he had a feeling she truly damaged it.

Robert finally finished packing and tried to quietly make his way out of the building before she woke up to make her nightly rounds to check on them. Once he got to the back door leading out to the yard he closed the door just before she made her way to check on them, and he soon ran off out of the yard and into the forest, not caring about the wind, thunder and the rain that was starting to fall. He was scared, but not as scared as he was staying in that place for another night and continued to run.

As the rain heavily fell onto the ground and him as he ran father into the forest, he was shivering a bit from the cold, being so young his thick fur had yet to grow in and he had no heavy clothes. Even if he did his fur was matted and he was soaked by the rain as he slowed down to a walk from being tired, thinking maybe this wasn't as well thought out as he planned. Soon he ended up tripping with a yelp and landing in the mud, letting out a whine as he slowly managed to get up, but he had twisted his ankle and was now limping as he walked.

After another hour he was feeling very tired and could barely see in the dark, only the occasional flash of lightning let him see anything. He began to look for a tree to sit under and wait out the storm, but a bolt of lightning struck a tree limb just above him causing it to fall. He yelped and managed to get out of the way, but he stumbled only a ledge, one that was overlooking the river he didn't even know was there. Once he tried to stand again, the earth below him gave way and he rolled down the hill into the rushing water, almost immediately pulling him under.

He struggled as best her could, but he didn't even know how to swim yet, and soon he was too tired and just gave in to the current, closing his eyes, realizing that his time had come, at least he would be in a better place. Though little did he know that his life was far from over, but not in this world, as he was being watched by several beings from another world, large and powerful beings from another world, the world, of Pokémon.

The being in the center simple nodding before disappearing into it's own realm, the one on it's left soon doing the same. But the one left stayed, calling upon it's power, the gem like features on it's shoulders starting to glow as it began to open a hole in space, from the world Robert was in, leading to another, one completely different from his own, but they had use for him, not now, but when he was older, and he would never know.

Once the being finished moving him into the new world, Robert was soon laying on the ground in this new world, unconscious, but breathing and alive. It was raining hear as well, but it was a gently rain, a simple peaceful shower in the spring time in the middle of the afternoon. Several pokemon sat on nearby tree branches or hid in the bushes to take shelter from the rain, and a few water types swimming in a nearby stream.

That afternoon in the shower a young married human couple, both in their mid twenties were happily walking along under an umbrella together, talking and enjoying themselves before Cindy spoke up, spotting Robert laying down in the grass, soaking and covered in mud. She and her husband Richard rushed over to him, looking down at the young boy, never seeing anyone like him before, he wasn't human, but he was dressed like one and looked like he would walk and talk like one. Carefully Richard picked up the young boy and carefully carried him off with Cindy back to their hometown which was close by, and to a local hospital to be looked at.

Once there the couple were able to get Robert checked in for an evaluation. The doctors took x-rays and blood samples, all to check and not only see if the pup was healthy, but also to see what he was. Robert stayed asleep in the hospital for two days, the doctors able to determine that he was not a Pokémon, and that he actually shared a lot of DNA with humans, his bones and organs are nearly identical to that of a human with a few distinct features, including his tail, ears, and facial structure. After those two days Robert finally woke up, feeling weak and confused as he looked around.

Where am I?....Did someone find me? He thought as he laid there not able to move all the much, but he heard a few voices out the open window, and looking outside he saw a tree, and sitting on a tree branch he saw what looking like a bird, but one that seemed different as it looked back at him. Robert tried to sit up but he soon sneezed and the startled bird flew off, Robert sitting there watching with his ears perked up.

Did that bird just speak?

Just after he had that thought he heard the door to his room open, looking over and seeing a human nurse walk in, seeing him awake and smiling.

"Well hello there, glad to see you are awake. I better go let the doctor know." She said walking out as Robert pinned his ears back some, he didn't exactly trust humans back in his world so he was nervous to be seeing any here. After a few minutes the nurse returned with a doctor in tow, who was also smiling at the young pup. Robert sat there frightened and whimpering a bit as the doctor sat down next his bed.

"No need to be afraid of me little one, we are trying to help you get back to being healthy. Can you understand me?" He said, Robert's ear perking a bit and nodded slowly to him, but not saying a word just yet. After a few minutes of talking with the doctor, and barely speaking at all, he let the doctor give him an examination, all while explaining everything they were able to learn about him while he was sleeping, Robert letting him know he was correct, at least to the points that he understood.

The nurse from before came back into the room just as the doctor was finishing up, saying that Robert had some visitors, but he didn't know anyone in this place. As he sat there and waited nervously before seeing a couple walking into his room, it was Cindy and Richard, the ones who had found him.

"Who...who are you?" He asked nervously as they had a seat, Cindy was the first to speak up to him.

"We are the ones who found you in the middle of the rain, and we couldn't just leave you out there to get sick." She said with a smile, Richard nodding and smiling next to her.

"You...helped me? But why? Humans never help my kind." He said with his ears back

"We helped you because you needed it, human or not young man. But, what do you mean by your kind. Can you tell us what you are? We have never seen anyone like you around here before." Richard said.

"Never? But there are as many of us as humans around" He said now confused.

"No there isn't, here all we have are humans and Pokémon" Cindy said in a concerned voice.

"Pokémon?" Robert said tilting his head a bit in confusion. Richard and Cindy nodded.

"So, do you have a name we can call you by young man?"

Robert nodded slowly "My name is Robert" He said.

Cindy and Richard smiled and nodded to him "Well it is nice to meet you Robert. What's your last name? Maybe we can help you get home."

Robert suddenly pinned his ears back, looking down and feeling like he was about to cry, shaking his head. "I....I don't have a last name...or a home....I'm an orphan." He sid trying to hold back tears.

Cindy gasped hearing this and Richard sighed feeling sorry for him before blinking as he stood up with Cindy who was pulling him out of the room "Just a moment Robert ok?" She asked as he nodded and wiped a few tears.

"Cindy why are we out in the hallway? We came to see him and now were leaving him alone?" Richard asked concerned.

"Richard, listen. He may be different, but he is still a child like any other. And...well, I was thinking, since we can't....you know..." She began to say, both nervous and hopeful in a way. Shortly before she and Richard got married they learned that she was sterile, and they couldn't have children together. Richard soon saw where she was starting to go with this and he looked back at the room, thinking, Robert needed a home, and they were the only ones who knew anything about him, and Cindy gave him a look of hope. "He really needs a home hun"

Richard thought about it for a moment, they were thinking about adoption anyway and he soon gave her a kiss before nodding to her.

"Alright hun, and your right he does, we can give him a very nice home, but it is his decision in the end, so we need to ask him" He said as Cindy smiled wide and nodded nearly jumping into his arms to hug and thank him before kissing his cheek and walking back into the room, Robert giving them a look, surprised that they actually came back.

"Robert, we were talking for a moment and, I know we offered to help you find a home or somewhere to go...." She said before she was cut off by him shaking his head quickly.

"I don't want to go to an orphanage, the people there are mean!" He nearly yelled out from the fear before they shook their heads.

"Let me finish." She said before smiling "We were going to ask you, since you have nowhere to go, how would you like us to bring you into our home, as our son?" She said still smiling with her husband, Robert eyes lighting up with hope.

"As your son?.....Really?" he said with his ears perked high, starting to tear up with a big smile. Both of them nodded again and he couldn't help himself and started to cry as Cindy carefully picked him up to hold him in his lap. She was surprised at how soft his fur was, but she knew that it was a part of him and she didn't mind. Richard soon joined into a group hug with them, Robert already feeling that loving connection with them.

A week later Robert was finally out of the hospital and was with Cindy and Robert, finalizing adoption papers, and Robert hadn't stopped smiling since he first met them. After a signature from Cindy and Richard, and a small paw print from Robert, it was official and he was soon in another hug with his new parents.

Soon after his eyes went wide as they arrived at their home, his new home, and he was soon inside exploring the house, the kitchen, the living room and upstairs seeing Richard's study and opening a door to what used to be the guest room "Who's room is this?" He asked curiously just as Richard walked in with a few bags of clothes and other things for him.

"Well Robert, this is now your room." He said smiling as he started to unpack for him. Robert climbed up on the bed and laid back murring gently at how soft it was.

"I have never had my own room before" He said before sitting up smiling

"Well it is your home, and it always will be from now on son"

Robert smiled and started to tear up again before hugging his parents again. He finally found what he was looking for, it wasn't the world he knew just yet, and he might have been the only one of his kind there, but he finally found them. A home, and a loving family.
