#52 of Hockey Hunk Season 4

It is the morning of the wedding of Victor and Rory, and it is time to walk down the aisle! Final chapter of the Hockey Hunk 2-year special. Thanks for the ride!

Hello, dearies!

*nhehehehnhnhnhnhnhnhnhnhhn*

I'm so sorry for the delay - things happened and I was pulled away for an hour from writing, which means that I was about an hour late...but I am glad to present you with an 8,000+ word chapter in compensation, so I hope you can forgive me for being late just this once!

Welcome to the final chapter of the Hockey Hunk 2-Year Anniversary Special! It's been a funny few weeks here, with this amusing foray taking over from the usual pace of things, but now it is time to say goodbye to the soapy versions of everyone, and eventually go back to the normal flow of events. It has been a lot of fun, but it is time to get back to normal, as all good things do must come to an eventual end. I have enjoyed myself all too much writing this, perhaps, and I hope that you have enjoyed it as well. It has been most curious to see the characters in such a new light - not to mention that this alternative universe gave us at least one canon fact - Alex shall be now known as Alex Sladen - thus becoming the final major character in the story to gain a last name. *chuckle*

Now that this is ending, I am most curious to hear your comments - I would like to hear whether you enjoyed the story, and all your thoughts are always interesting, of course. As always, all the feedback in the form of comments, votes and faves - and watches! - as more than appreciated, since it helps others to find these stories to enjoy as well. Please help to spread the love, and you will be rewarded with more fun stories! :P

Thank you for sticking with me - let's kick off the title sequence and see for chapter!

Cheers, muffins!

Rory's cheeks were burning already as his paws fell down to his sides, the lion panting, the tiger slipping away from his lap, awkwardly getting to his feet and standing there, breathing as heavily as the lion himself.

He couldn't meet his eyes.

"Fuck..." Colin grumbled.

Rory, still panting, could only see his own messy lap, full of evidence of his illicit actions, and the tiger, who pulled out a paper handkerchief from his pocket which he quickly stuffed under his tail before the boxers and the pants came up, with a click of the belt buckles.

"Oh my God," Rory huffed.

"You look a mess," the tiger chuckled, still bust buttoning the front of his pants, "hell, you smell like a mess. Damn..."

Rory blinked and growled at the snort-laughing tiger. His legs burned, his face burned, and his hard lionhood pulsed, still only barely sated by the explosive climax he had had only moments previously. Some of it still dribbled down along his shaft, marking him, tainting him.

Cheat.

"You definitely still got it," the tiger winked as he rubbed his palm against his thighs, as if trying to get scent away from them...a feeble attempt, Rory thought, considering how rough he had been with the tiger who had straddled his lap and ridden him to a massive, grunting climax. The tiger hadn't even had an orgasm, the lion realized, dully, judging by the stiff, glistening length he had seen for a moment jutting from under the hems of the tiger's shirt before it was tucked into his pants. "Damn..."

"Ugh..." Rory made a face.

"Consider this my wedding gift, Rory," the tiger said coolly, staring at the still seated, still exposed lion, "for the sake of all the good times we had...and never did."

"Colin..." the lion breathed.

The tiger blew a kiss at him and winked.

"Goodbye, Rory," he said, "I think I've seen enough of this party for now. Give Marge my best. Tell her that I think that the ebooks will be great."

The tiger turned with a broad swish of his long, striped tail, and disappeared through the library door before Rory could do as much as open his muzzle to issue any complaints about what had just happened in this secluded room.

The lion still couldn't believe that he had allowed the tiger to seduce him in a manner of minutes...push him down, pull his fly open and sit on him before he could even say...stop...and he'd been inside the tiger and then nothing else seemed to matter but the firm ramming of his hips against the tiger's ass and into heat within his body, their purrs and moans and snarls...everything building up.

Only emptiness remained now, and the lion felt listless. He had done it again, he thought, he had...he had betrayed Victor, on the very eve of their wedding, he had fallen into an old trap and done it so willingly that it scared him. He had crashed and burned and he felt worse than he had almost never did.

He had to find Victor, he thought. He'd go to the Doberman and...and what?

What could he gain, the lion thought as he began to frantically try and make himself presentable again. How could he hope to win Victor back by confessing to his misdeed? The Doberman might have been patient, but even he had his limits, surely. He had seen all of him, and this...this would push him over the edge. This would be too much, the lion knew, it would make Victor go ballistic and...it would destroy all the beautiful things they had now, and it would...

His zipper came up with a rustle of his pants as he got up, and his legs felt like jelly. He was exhausted, he was scared, and he was hollow, and he knew that everything he wanted to do was to go back down to that party, grab his Doberman, and dance with him through the night...the only one who mattered now. Fuck the tiger.

"Fuck," Rory muttered under his breath as he stomped into the corridor, partially scared that Colin might be lingering in there, if only to heckle the lion for his weakness.

But there was no tiger, not in the hallway, the foyer or - much to Rory's relief - when he entered the ballroom, and there was no sight of that tiger who seemed to be intent on ruining anything. Not this time, Rory thought and puffed out his chest. He would not be guilt-tripped to mess up everything that was good in his life. He was finally where he wanted to be, with the man he loved and wanted, leading a life he could have only dreamed about a few years before. That didn't include interventions by a meddling lion.

"OH RORY!"

The lion barely had the time to flick his ears with surprise when a tall, huge Doberman was upon him, arms around him and almost lifting him off the floor as he was enfolded in a surprise embrace.

"Ohhh I'm so sorry Rory..." Cobb rumbled into Rory's ear, "I didn't mean to..."

Rory was frowning by then, and struggled to push a paw between them, flat against Cobb's chest, to try and rouse the Doberman's attention.

"Let me down, please," the lion said, "and tell me what you're talking about."

The Doberman gingerly lowered him back to the floor and gave Rory some space so that the lion could smoothen out his sleeves and look at the droopy-eared, almost cartoonish male looking down at him sheepishly. Cobb looked like he had just been caught with his paw in the cookie jar.

"What's going on"? Rory asked. "What are you apologizing for?"

"I didn't mean to, oh Rory, I lost my temper..."

"What the hell are you talking about?" Rory grunted.

The Doberman shook his head.

"We...kind argued..."

Rory bared his teeth.

"What?"

"Oh there you are!"

Rory almost jumped at the shrill voice, belonging to the diamond-encrusted cougar that waddled over, shiny as ever, and looking at him curiously.

"What's going on here?" Rory asked, staring at the cougarette, "Where's Victor?"

The cougar glanced from left to right and then looked at the lion again, her tail sweeping back and forth.

"He's not with you?" Marge asked.

"No," Rory shook his head, "I felt better so I came down to look for him...is he not here?"

"But he should be with you!" Marge chirped. "He said he was going to see you after he left here!"

"I never saw him," Rory replied, the cold pressure in his belly increasing.

"Oh my God," Cobb buried his muzzle in his paws.

"What's going on?" Rory asked. "Where's Victor?"

"We thought he went to be with you," Marge replied, big eyes fluttering.

"So where is he if he's not with me?" Rory snorted.

"Oh my God," Cobb muttered.

"There's the lion-boy!"

"Hehheh!"

Oh, damn...Rory tensed a little as he heard the boisterous voices belonging to his beau's double trouble Dobie uncles who seemed to have appeared out of nowhere, beer bottles in paw.

"Feeling better now, son?" the grizzled Senator Jack Griggs questioned, while the slightly taller, and even more leering Brock gave him a knowing grin.

"I'm fine" Rory muttered, "Have you seen Victor?"

"He's not with you, boy?" Brock asked.

"No," Rory breathed.

"Well he did storm out feeling pretty worked up after his fight with this fellow here," Brock stepped next to the slumped form of Cobb and patted his shoulder.

"What?" Rory huffed, giving the Doberman a dirty look.

"Some kind of a brotherly argument, I think," Jack Griggs chuckled, licking his lips, "and then Victor left looking for you and he seemed to be a bit upset so those two boys went with him..."

"What boys?" Rory asked.

"Well, that lynx and that wolf who stuck together most of the evening," Jack replied, "they went to see where he was going."

*

Rory woke up with a jump, startled by sounds coming from somewhere near, enough to rouse the lion from his sleep. He was sitting on a large armchair in the living room of the spacious apartment, the one that faced the oversized TV, dark, of course, as was the room except for the glow of city lights coming through the draped windows.

The lion blinked, letting his eyes adjust, and caught the sight of the shape in the doorway.

"Victor?" the lion rumbled.

He could see the shape still, alerted by his voice, and then move again, followed by the sudden brightness of the lights being turned on. Rory blinked several times and tried to adjust to the relatively soft glow of the numerous lamps that had come alive with the single flick of a button, illuminating the entire room.

The Doberman stared at him.

"Victor!" Rory yelped as he got up, the lapels of his unbuttoned jacket flying as he approached the Doberman standing still in the doorway. The lion stopped when he saw the blank expression on the Doberman's tired face, and felt his old fears flicker back alive, making his stomach churn.

"Rory."

"Victor," the lion breathed tentatively, looking at the canine carefully. He could not tell what he was thinking.

Victor's ears flicked upon hearing his name being spoken, the big male blinked, still looking at the lion, quietly, without a word, standing all too still.

"Where were you?" Rory asked. "I was so worried because you didn't answer the phone!"

"I had to think," the Doberman replied in a low, deep voice after a long pause. "I had to...I couldn't be there anymore."

"Are you alright?" Rory whispered.

The Doberman shrugged.

"Victor..."

"I'm damn tired," Victor rumbled. "I want to go to sleep to get even a few hours before the wedding. It's three in the morning. We won't have much time."

"I know," Rory replied, unable to stop his voice from wavering, "oh I was so worried, what happened to you?"

"I told you," the Doberman in the suit grunted. "I needed time."

"I heard you had an argument with Cobb..."

"I don't want to talk about it!" Victor snapped.

Rory could feel fear biting a trail along his neck, making his spine shiver as he looked at the Doberman's haughty features. The guilt, burning slowly in his belly, threatened to release itself in a burst of agony from the lion...but he held back. Not now, he told himself, not now that he had a proper chance at this.

"Oh..." the lion breathed.

Victor's paw moved so quickly that for a mad moment Rory thought that the Doberman was taking a punch at him, his ears jumping out of surprise and fear. The fingers did land on him, they sure did, but instead to cup his muzzle and yank it forward while Victor's own muzzle came down, crashing to meet Rory's in a kiss. His tongue forced itself into Rory's muzzle and made a wet mess out of it, slipping and slobbering all around his gums, his own tongue, the very roof of his muzzle. Soon all he could taste was the Doberman, and the same could be said of his other sensuous experiences as well. Victor's other paw grabbed the lion's shoulder and held him, locked into the kiss that was almost violent and left both of them panting by the time it was over.

"Mine," the Doberman grunted. "MINE!"

"I'm yours," the lion panted, "all the way..."

"I'll make sure you are," the Doberman grunted darkly as he paws along the lion's back, all the way to his rump which he squeezed roughly.

"Ahhhh..." Rory moaned at the sensation, becoming aroused against his better judgment once again.

The Doberman pinned himself briefly against the wall before Rory felt himself manipulated again, maneuvered and moved so that he found himself kneeling on all fours on the floor, Victor hunched over him, slobbering against his neck while fumbling paws worked on his fly.

"Shouldn't we go to the...ahhhh...the bed?" Rory moaned, unable to control his voice as he felt the Doberman ground his hips against his own vulnerable ass.

"No time," Victor hissed into an ear which he then quickly bit between his teeth, causing Rory to rear up and moan loudly, almost whimper under the intense sensation.

The zipper was down and then Victor's paws gripped on his hips roughly, pulling the pants down in one go, tugging the tail out of the way, the boxers going down to Rory's ankles on a similar, quick movement that left him bare and exposed. Rory was panting and felt almost delirious when he heard the clink clank of Victor own belt buckles, the hacking sound of spitting, and the musk.....oh God, the musk...

"MINE!" Victor snarled again, causing Rory's ears to flatten even before a paw came down hard between his shoulder blades and pushed him down so that Rory found himself all too suddenly face down and ass up on the floor, knees splayed and paws flat against the soft Persian rug. Another paw grabbed his tail and gave it a rough tug that made him yowl, but it was nothing to the sensation of a barely spit-slickened finger poking at his hole.

"AAAAHHHH....!"

Victor let out a rough, masculine huff when he mounted the lion, one paw still pressing down on Rory's back while he crouched, knees hugging the lion's fuzzy rump cheeks while he aligned himself and pushed his hard, throbbing cock down so that it pressed directly against the lion's vulnerable hole. He was glistening with spit but they both knew it'd be rough going, coming with spit-lube only.

It's what they wanted.

"AAHHHHHffffffuckshit..."

Rory bit down on his paw when he felt the pressure, of the strong, heavy body crashing down on him, bringing that hot length under his tail and then inside him, thrust hard into him in a series of deep swings of Victor's massive hips. The lion found himself taken roughly and with only cursory care for his comfort, the Doberman seemingly incoherent with desire.

"All mine," Victor snorted, but his voice seemed to come from somewhere far away, beyond the heat and the insistent rhythm of his hips that began almost as soon as he was settled inside the lion's ass.

Rory's muzzle worked on his paw, letting out incoherent sounds, moans, grunts and a few words that the Doberman couldn't wear, too busy simply hunching away at the lion's rear, driving himself in and out with hard, ball-slapping thrust that smacked against Rory's own burning pair. The pain turned into pleasure, the discomfort from the rough positioning into sheer submissive joy, the burn...the guilt...all melting away in the near-catharsis of the pounding that turned him into the Doberman's bitch...a deserved position after what he did. He was Victor's now, none else...no Colin...none could come between them, not now that they were like this, together, passionate...right....

"AAaahhhhIloveyou" Rory managed to mutter, his head rearing up while he took hard thrust into his other end.

Victor's other paw landed on his neck. He yanked on the lion's mane and bit down on his neck, almost drawing blood with his vicious teeth as he took the lion into a rough mating bite, hips slamming down several times as he drove himself to the hilt inside the churning tunnel, his big knot locking them together just as both of them yowled, grunted and snorted in a novel combination of agony and pleasure. Rory's surprisingly hard cock spluttered seed onto the rug, the lion suspended in mid-air, his eyes rolling back with pleasure and pain all coming together in a blinding burn.

*

Rory woke up slowly in the morning, his head heavy, his maw filled with an odd taste that all worked together to make him feel like he was hung over despite having not drunk anything last night. His eyes were bleary and he realized that he was still wearing his messy, stained dress pants from the party...and nothing else, under the satin sheet. His undertail area throbbed as soon as he allowed himself to think about it, and he winced.

"Damn..." the lion grunted.

Memories of the last night flashed through his mind and mare Rory shiver - all the guilt threatening just as he remembered his mistake with Colin, the anxiety over Victor's disappearance, then the almost painful, hard sex that had signified their reunion...but the Doberman wasn't there...his side of the bed was empty. Rory looked at the messy bed and sighed.

"Shit..." he shook his head and it felt like loose marbles rolled from side to side. "Fuck...."

The bedroom door burst open and Victor suddenly entered, clad in his purple dressing gown and carrying a steaming mug of what was unmistakably coffee in one of his paws.

"Good, you're awake," the big dog rumbled as he quickly crossed the room, remarkably without spilling the coffee, and placed it onto the bedside table, by the little lamp, Rory's books, and the black sleeping eye mask Rory sometimes wore to bed. "You have to get cleaned up and ready to go."

"What's the time?" Rory croaked at the seemingly all too chipper Doberman.

"A bit over eight o'clock," the Doberman replied.

Rory made a face and tossed the covers away from his body, still looking at the busy Doberman bleary-eyed while Victor went through to the walk-in closet and turned on the lights inside the small dressing room.

"Ugh..."

"THE LIMO IS COMING AT NINE TO PICK US UP, WE HAVE TO BE READY BY THEN!"

_ _

Rory reached for the tantalizing mug on the nightstand and got a whiff of his ripe armpit in the action, which made him decide that he was in a serious need of a thorough shower, scrub and a grooming before he could even image appearing in public. He couldn't even fathom how other parts of him smelled like. He felt squishy enough.

Victor stormed out of the closet, carrying a silver-colored suit inside a wispy plastic protective bag, with a burgundy-colored one swung over his arm. He dropped that one onto an armchair and proceeded to walk over to the full length mirrors on the other side of the room, and then simply dropped his robe to the floor, to reveal a fully naked Doberman underneath. Rory's sheath couldn't resist twitching at the pleasant sight, no matter how he'd been drained on the night before.

"How the hell can you be up already?" Rory snuffled. "You're usually the last one to awake."

"Some herbal tea," Victor whooped as he went over to the dresser out of which he pulled out a pair of dress socks and black silk boxers, "have to be ready for it all."

"Oh really?" Rory winced before he got his first muzzleful of coffee.

"Well, to be honest, it was Pepe La Rocca who woke me up," Victor replied, bent over to put on the socks and showing Rory things that were usually reserved for more up close activities under his stub of a tail, "he called at seven."

"He's insane," Rory said.

"He just wanted to give a final moment confirmation on the tickets to Tahiti," Victor replied. "The flight leaves at seven PM."

"Great," Rory replied.

"It'll be nice," Victor said, elastic snapping against his flat, muscled belly now that he had his boxers on, "no distractions...."

He glanced at the lion over his shoulder and winked before he turned to look at himself on the mirror, simply, so it seemed, enjoying the sight of himself, posing a little. Rory huffed and took another life-saving coffee.

No distractions.

No meddling tigers.

Just him and Victor...just them...forever...just them.

"None," Rory replied. "None at all."

Victor pushed his shoulders back, puffed out his chest and let out a deep breath.

"Sex on the beach, eh?" the Doberman stated.

"I certainly know who will be bottoming, though," Rory snerked.

*

"Oh my fucking God Christ Almighty," Victor grunted.

Rory blinked, standing next to the silver-clad Doberman in his own burgundy suit, almost unable to believe the sight in front of him.

"I'll strangle that Pepe La Rocca!" Victor slapped his fisted paw against his palm and made an aggressive, dirty sound.

"Your ride is ready, sir," the fox in a blue, neat driver's uniform declared politely, standing next to the back door which he held open to admit the two grooms of the day into their carriage for the wedding...a pink limousine decorated with white stripes and a huge bow on the roof, which Rory just couldn't understand could stay there when the car was moving.

"Well it's a bit..." Rory mumbled.

"I paid a fucking fortune for this wedding and he comes up with this?!?" Victor stomped the ground.

Rory felt a twinge of guilt in his belly. Hadn't Crystal told him that Pepe La Rocca insisted on hearing back from him in regards to modes of transport, and he had just mumbled something about telling him to leave it to his discretion...Jesus...

The lion patted Victor's back and heard further grumbles escaping from the big male.

"It's not so bad," he said quietly, "at least it'll take us to the wedding, right?"

"I'll still demand a discount," Victor snorted, "what the hell could that old queer been thinking?"

"Maybe this is the most fashionable way to do it these days," Rory suggested, "maybe we just don't know about the current fads."

"Fuck fads," Victor replied as he stomped towards the car, ignoring the foxy driver, "let's go before I want to bash the windows in. As long as it's not pink on the inside, I might just survive riding on it."

Rory shook his head softly and followed the Doberman into the deep pink unknown.

*

"Damn, there are photographers here," Victor snorted as he peered out of the darkened window just as the pink limo slid into place next to the Kirk City Council Hall, where the civil ceremony was to take place.

"As per we agreed with La Rocca," Rory replied.

"Damn it," Victor snorted. "If any of those are paparazzi..."

"Why would the newspapers be interested about our wedding?" Rory suggested. "Just a couple of old queers."

"They're funny when it comes to old queers," Victor replied.

The Doberman didn't seem to mind stopping to pose for the photographs, briefly, paw in paw with Rory and smiling broadly before they scaled the steeps steps into the cathedral-like council building.

"OH THERE THEY ARE!"

The shrill voice alerted them only moments before a mass of clapping began, coming from a congregation of furs who had been waiting inside, all dressed in their best, Rory was sure, as they entered the foyer. Faces, smiling, familiar ones, everyone still clapping as they were welcomed, everyone smiling, everyone coming closer and wanting to shake their paws or pat their backs.

"Oh darling!" Patricia Gliese crooned as she buried her muzzle against her son's neck.

"Hi, mom," Rory mumbled.

"Heheheh, gonna make a honest man out of your lion boy?" Jack Griggs shook both of Victor's paws while Brock Stahlman leered next to him, showing white teeth.

"Good luck, son," Mark Gliese decided to simply shook his son's paw.

"I'm so glad you came," Rory smiled as he looked at his father, a bit thinner now, a bit less shiny in the fur department, but still dad.

"Of course I did!" the older lion declared. "I wouldn't miss this for the world."

"Among all the things you have missed," Patricia replied coolly from the other side of the man of the day.

"I'm just so glad you came," Rory smiled again, looking at them both.

*

"ohhhhhhhh..... my love......oh my darling...I've hungered for your touch..."

_ _

"I didn't know that this is a wedding march," Victor whispered to the lion from the corner of his muzzle as he tried to keep their steps synchronized along the stretch of red carpet laid between the rows of fur-packed, compulsory white foldable chairs that were now stacked with their friends and family, everyone staring at them, cameras in paws.

_"... a long...lonely time..." _

_ _

"Pepe La Rocca", Rory whispered in return before flashing a brilliant smile to the audience, his paw firmly enclosed in Victor's.

"Of course."

_ _

"as time...goes byyyyyy....sooooo slowly...."

_ _

Women with hats, everyone in neat suits, everyone standing, everyone smiling, these were the few things Rory could register as he walked down along the makeshift aisle, paw in paw with the man of his dreams, about to take the final, important step in making all of this into the most meaningful day in his life. The proper union of their souls...bodies...bank accounts...it was here.

The Mayor stood in front of a small lectern, adorned by the state and the union flags behind her. She was a neatly dressed middle-aged wolf, smiling broadly at the two men who now stood in front of her.

The room fell silent.

"Good furs, you are most welcome, everyone," she began, speaking in a tone suitable for the occasion, "to witness this union of two citizens of this town, united in matrimony, in the face of the law, in the face of the country, and in front of their family and friends, who wish to be here for this important occasion. Rory and Victor have decided that the path they are to lead in this life is one that is shared by them, and they wish to carry all the responsibilities, and duties of life together, as husband and husband. They have seen adversity, and strife, in their lives, but together, they have crossed all the obstacles, and now they finally stand here, united in love and life, and ready to take the next step, together. They have been found to be eligible for marriage, and now, I shall ask each in turn, whether they wish to be committed in this relationship, and this marriage."

Clatter.

The doors opened, causing everyone's eyes and ears to turn into their direction, to show the shape of a cougar, dressed in dramatic all black, standing there for only the briefest moment before racing onwards.

"NO!" Marge yelled. "NO!"

Cobb stood up from his seat, looking as puzzled as everyone, as he looked at his wife racing down the aisle, with keen determination. Rory tensed.

"Marge?" the lion uttered.

"NO WEDDING!" the cougar yelled.

"Excuse me, ma'am..." the Mayor spoke up, her voice steady.

The cougar looked wild - her makeup was all black, too, thick, lining her features to make them almost look cartoonish, as she finally came to a halt, standing in front of Victor and Rory. The Doberman let out a warning bark.

"What the hell are you doing?" he snorted.

"I can't let this wedding to go on without telling you!" Marge panted. "I MUST TELL YOU!"

"Marge," Rory breathed, "What are you talking about?"

"Ma'am, you must calm down or I will have to ask the bailiff to remove you from this room," the Mayor said.

"Marge..." Cobb spoke in a gentle voice, having walked up to her and was about to put a paw on her shoulder, a paw which the cougar swatted away immediately.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!"

"Marge, are you psychotic or something?" Victor snorted. "Shut the hell up and don't mess this up!"

"HA!" Marge sneered. "I'll tell you who has messed everything up!"

"Marge..." Rory said.

"Yeah, you," Marge snorted.

"I don't know what you are talking about," the lion said.

"HA!" Marge grumbled.

"Marge..." Cobb beckoned.

"Shut the fuck up!" the cougar yelled at the Doberman, whose ears flattened. "I'm talking with Victor and Rory."

"Ma'am..."

"Shut the hell up!" Marge snapped at the wolf.

"Marge, just get the hell out of here," Victor snarled. "We don't want you to mess everything up again!"

"You don't know who's messing things up here, Victor," the cougar snorted darkly. "Oh no..."

"Marge, please..." Cobb wailed.

"DON'T TOUCH ME YOU CHEATING BASTARD!" the cougar's voice rose even higher as she swatted Cobb's paws away once again. "NOT AFTER WHAT YOU'VE DONE! WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!"

Her paw pointed at Rory now.

"Marge..."

"Yeah, YOU!" the cougar hissed. "Have to let Victor know what you go on doing behind his back...WITH HIS BROTHER!"

The entire room gasped in unison. Nobody dared to move.

"Yeah," Marge spat. "I know what happened in the mountain cabin between YOU and MY HUSBAND! I was there!"

"You're insane," Victor huffed. "Shut up, Marge!"

"Yeah, right," Marge said, "only insane with RAGE over the fact that my husband cheated on me with RORY!"

Victor looked at the mortified lion, then at his brother...standing behind Marge with his ears flat...his face a sullen mask.

"OH YES!" Marge laughed. "Oh yes...they were enjoying it..."

"Rory..." Victor gasped.

Rory shook his head.

"No..." he breathed.

Not now, he thought. Not now when they were going to be married and it would never come up...that mistake...that loneliness...that drunken, desperate fumble on the rug in front of the fireplace...never to be talked about ever again.

Two uniformed furs appeared out of a side door and stepped close to the panting cougar, carefully but determined, as they each took a hold of one arm and held her carefully.

"You should come with us, ma'am," the burly Rottweiler of the two spoke. "We'll go somewhere and sort this out all nice and calm..."

"Fuck you," the cougar hissed as she fought her two captors, "I'm not going before I'm finished!"

"I think you're quite finished now, ma'am," the Rottweiler said as he began to pull Marge towards the side door, "let's go now..."

"FUCK YOU!" Marge yelled. "FUCK YOU ALL!"

"MARGE!" Cobb yelped, watching how his wife was being taken away by the two guards.

"Goodbye, Marge," Victor hissed.

"YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW THE REST!" Marge yelled, footpaws kicking the air as she still struggled. "I DIDN'T TELL YOU ALL YET!"

"Well we don't want to hear either!" Victor replied.

"I SHOT YOU, RORY!" Marge yelled, almost through the door with the guards, "I SHOT YOU BECAUSE I WANTED YOU TO DIE BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU DID AND I SHOT YOU IN THE HEAD IN THAT CAR PARK AND I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU SURVIVED IT! DID YOU HEAR ME! I SHOT YOU RORY I SHOT YOU IT WAS ME OH GODDAMN IT WAS ME AND I LIKED IT HAHAHAHAHAH!"

Her laughter echoed in their ears for several moments even after the door had been shut close. Everyone sat frozen in their seats in some sort of a state of suspended animation...unable to move...almost unable to comprehend all that had happened in the space of only a couple of minutes of frantic action.

Rory stood in place, shaking, Victor's paw on his arm.

"Are you okay?"

"You...you don't believe her, do you?" Rory asked frantically. "Please...do you..."

"I don't believe a single world," Victor replied, squeezing Rory's arm. "I can't. I love you."

"I love you too," Rory whispered.

"if...if you'd like to continue..." the Mayor mumbled.

"Yes!" Victor yelped. "Yes, please!"

"Right..." the wolf shook her head gently and cleared her throat, "I must ask you, then, Victor Terrence Holden...if you wish to take Rory Joshua Gliese, as your husband?"

"I do," Victor squeezed Rory's paw.

Rory's heart melted with joy at the sensation, and the knowledge of what would come next.

"Rory Joshua Gliese, I ask you, if you wish to take Victor Terrence Holden as your husband?"

"Yes," the lion breathed.

"With the power invested in me by the State of New York, I pronounce you..."

"EXCUZE ME!"

"Oh for fuck's sake..." Victor snorted as his ears flattened, seeking the source of the noise.

A middle-aged German Shepherd had appeared on the doorway, walking frisky towards them, clad in a neat, blue suit and carrying a black leather case held stiffly to his side, as he approached.

"What is this?" the Mayor asked.

"Frau, I must ask you to holt ze zeremony for ein little moment, please," the German Shepherd spoke in a rumbling voice that carried a distinct accent along his words.

"What's going on?" the Mayor replied, looking at the stranger keenly.

"I must brink forvart ze information dat could make ze weddink illegal," the German Shepherd replied, "I am Doktor Josef Hauptman from ze Kellner unt Kellner Agency, and I must tell you ze fakt zat dis weddink may not go on until I tell you ze fakt!"

"We were already interrupted once," Victor snorted. "GUARDS!"

"I have here ze dokument, if you voult vait one moment, please, Herr," the German Shepherd didn't seem to care for the threats as he calmly put down his case, opened it, and pulled out a paper.

"What the hell is that supposed to be?" Victor snorted as the German Shepherd held the paper out.

"Dat is ze results of ze DNA analyzis dat tells dat in fact you are not Viktor Holden," Herr Hauptman replied calmly still.

"WHAT?" Cobb moaned.

"My agenzy has spent ze last fifteen years trackink down ze legal heir of ze Haus of Wittelsbach," the German Shepherd continued, "it vas revealet after ze collapse of ze DDR dat ze Stasi secret agents hat in fakt replazet ze legal heir of ze family vith another Doberman born on ze same day in ze city of Clevelant 35 years ago in ze plot to undermine ze family."

"What nonsense is this?" Victor grunted.

"Dat paper is ze proof dat you are in fakt Prinz Karl Ludwig Maria Friedrich Alexander von Wittelsbach, ze true heir to ze title of ze prinze, swappet at birh with ze Holden zon, vho vas one of ze tvin."

"This paper has my name on it..." Victor grunted, looking at it carefully now.

"Ze DNA match is perfekt!" the German dog declared. "You are ze Prince unt your family fortune awaits you in Bavaria."

"But he's my brother! Cobb yelled. "HE IS MY BROTHER!"

"Yes," the German Shepherd replied coolly, "in life, ja, but biologikally, nein..."

"This paper has my name on it and it claims that my...DNA matches..." Victor muttered. "That I am..."

"Can it be possible?" Rory croaked.

"Ze prince unt ze princess vere visitink ze Clevelant ven ze princess gave birth to a zohn," the German Shepherd replied. "It was only fifteen years ago dat we learnet dat ze babies hat been changet."

"But this is..."

Rory squeezed Victor's arm.

"This doesn't change anything," the lion said quickly, passionately, "I still love you...you are still Victor..."

"He iz Karl Ludwig Maria Friedrich Alexander," Herr Hauptman cut in.

"I love you...I'm your husband..."

Victor dropped the paper and faced the lion.

"No you're not," the Doberman said.

Rory's tail jumped.

"Victor?"

"You're not," the Doberman said. "You don't really love me. I know you don't. And I don't love you."

"I love you!"

"If you loved me, you wouldn't have fucked Colin in our own wedding party," Victor replied, glaring dangerously at the lion in front of him. "Or fucked Cobb. Or any other men who have been there."

"There 's only you..." Rory wailed.

"I'm not much better either," Victor replied. "Because I screwed both Mason and Haakon last night."

Rory's eyes snapped in the direction of the pair, sitting side by side on one corner of the room...now looking intensely guilty.

"Victor..." Rory moaned.

"Yeah," the Doberman snorted. "I think we're even now. Both fucked up and neither of us loving the other."

"But we..." Rory groaned.

"We're nothing," Victor replied. "I don't want to marry you. I don't want to be with you. I don't want to have sex with you. I don't want your money. I don't want anything of you, Rory...you're not the one I want...not the one I've...always wanted."

Victor stepped a few steps forward and knelt down, staring up into the big, wide eyes of the Doberman.

"Cobb...Jacob..." Victor breathed out, "I've always known there is something...special about our relationship...something...something that could never be expressed because we were brothers...and we still are...but then...we are also not...not anymore..."

"VICTOR!" Cobb let out a loud bark of surprise.

"Cobb..." Victor grabbed the Doberman's paw and held it, "I've never loved anyone like you, brother...and now...now I understand why...because...because I can finally...let myself fell all these things for you and...I know that you're the one I want to be with...please...please...I know you're married to Marge but...hear me when I say that I love you, Jacob! I love you, Cobb!"

The Big Doberman let out another loud bark, and then what sounded like a victorious whoop.

"OHHH VICTOR!" Cobb grabbed his brother's shoulders and pulled him up from his knees, to stand in front of him. "I KNOW WHAT YOU FEEL BECAUSE I'VE ALWAYS FELT THE SAME ABOUT YOU!"

"OHHH Cobb..." Rory could see that Victor's eyes were filling with tears.

"Ohhhh Victor..."

He had seen enough, he decided, this was...this couldn't be happening...he could not be here...he could not survive this...he could...he was...

...he was jilted!

Unseeing, blind with anger and fire in his belly, Rory rushed down the aisle, uncaring of the shouts of the furs behind him, the shrill shriek of who sounded like his mother, the loud voices of all the Dobermans speaking simultaneously in commotion, everyone speaking at once, calling him to come back, to make things alright, to...

to what?

Tears streamed down Rory's face and they felt cold when wind touched him as he rushed down the stone steps and out to the street where the pin limousine still stood parked. Unseeing and unthinking, he did the only thing that came to his mind, leaped for the car, pulled the rear door open and launched himself onto the leather seat.

"Where to?" the voice of the fox filtered through an intercom, somewhere far ahead of the crying lion.

"Kirk City International Airport," Rory sobbed.

"Yes, sir!"

_ _

The limo entered the traffic, the engine rumbling gently while Rory pulled his knees up and rocked himself on the seat.

"No, no, no, no, no ,no, no..." Rory muttered.

Something soft pressed against his muzzle, suddenly, his eyes opened, and he realized that a previously unseen paw was offering him a tissue, soft, white and fluffy, in extended, tan-toned fingers.

"Who..." Rory snuffled, his nose itching from crying and the touch of the paper against his whiskers, blinking as he tried to see the source of the paw.

"Just me," the purring voice replied, just as the little light on the ceiling of the car flicked on, illuminating the shape sitting opposite to Rory.

"PETER!" the lion shrieked.

The cougar purred again, and waved the tissue in his extended paw, smiling ever the more.

"Hello, Rowreeh," the cougar rumbled.

"BUT YOU'RE DEAD!" Rory yelled.

Maybe this was it, the lion thought, almost dully. Maybe he had finally been broken, body, mind and soul, these strange events giving him the ability to hallucinate. Maybe he had entered a world of dreams, where he could go wherever he wanted, and he would not know strife any longer.

"You thought I was," the cougar said in a calm, gentle voice, "and for a while I thought I was, too, when I laid there in the ravine, my legs broken..."

"But you...you...they never found the body..."

"Because there was no body, Rowreeh," the cougar chuckled. "I was no longer there, but far away...in the camp of some reclusive Inuit seals, who took such good care of me...nursing me back to health...even feeding me a traditional folk remedy of a certain kind of lichen that was revealed to have remarkable immunosuppressant properties...I no longer need drugs to keep my kidney working, Rory...I am well...better than I ever was..."

"This is impossible," Rory stared at the cougar, wide-eyed.

"It is...improbable...but not impossible, Rowreeh," the cougar replied, "I am here..."

Peter placed his paw on Rory's thigh and gave it a gentle squeeze.

"I am here...for you..."

"Peter..." Rory gasped as he felt the warmth of the touch, too warm to belong to a ghost, a poltergeist, or a zombie.

"I'm here, Rowreeh," the cougar purred as Rory buried his muzzle against the cougar's softly furred chest, his own paws landing against Rory's back. "I'm here..."

"Oh Peter..."

"Rory..."

"Peter..."

"Peter..."

_ _

Rory's eyes snapped open, his maw open, too, tail tense, limbs spread all around the strange, rustling sheets of the bed in Peter's guest room, the lion now staring up to the bland ceiling, his chest rising quickly.

The lion blinked, yawned, and pushed the covers away, sitting on the edge of the bed and rubbing his muzzle. He couldn't remember what he had dreamed and why his heart was beating so hard, but his roused state told him that it had to be something unpleasant...only the sensation remained, now...there was no recollection of what he had dreamed of.

"Damn..."he moaned.

His ears flicked, gently. A soft rushing noise came from beyond the bathroom door, and he could see light coming from the crack. Someone was there...but who...Victor? Rory smiled. Oh yes...it must've been morning already...Victor was surely taking an early shower before coming back to bed and maybe snuggling up to him for some cozy times before they had to get up. The lion rubbed his arms as he got up from the bed, still needing the calming effect of his own touch. Maybe he could tiptoe in and give him a nice morning welcome...ohh yes...

Rory walked softly across the room and pushed the door open, planning to treat himself to an eyeful of a showering, soapy Doberman under the stream of warm water cascading on him and bringing out all those nice canine features he so much liked...

But what he saw was not Victor, not just Victor, but Victor and his brother, Cobb, entwined in a tight embrace, their muzzles together, their bodies rocking together slickly, maws moving hotly...

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

"Oh, good morning, studmuffin!" Marge purred, turning around so that the water fell away from her head and instead washed along the double mounds of her bosom, tail flicking about pleasantly while she held her paws high up and let her nimble body stretch out and present all of its charms for the lion. "Pass me the fur conditioning, please?"

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!"

"Oh Rory, hi!" Alex grinned, his tail wagging madly while he washed a few errand suds of soap away from his ebony head furs, "I just wanted a quick shower before breakfast, you know...get away some of the musk, heheh...you naughty boy...thanks for last night, hehe! You sure showed me just what I've been missing out of ...thehee...."

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

And then it was only black.
