Love in the Hunt

For the past twelve years Gabriel Folf has doing his best to make a reputation for himself. Since his father and mother were both very well known adventurers amongst many villages and towns. Their reputation still looms over him but, he doesn't let it distract him. Instead he uses it to his benefit most of the time especially when on a mission. The twin swords and armor he carried are the only major keep sakes of his parents.

When people see them they know of his parents and treat him with a lot of respect. Gabriel spent most of his childhood in the care of a good family friend. A kind warm hearted dragoness named Sonya took care of him while his parents were away. She decided to teach him the ways of her kind in the hopes he would use them wisely. Sadly when he learned that his parents had died protecting a village from an attack.

His teachings taught him that revenge wouldn't bring them back let alone heal his pain. Instead he decided to pick up where his parents had left off before their deaths. Utilizing the teachings of Sonya and her kind bestowed upon him, he uses them to help others. He's currently on route to a small village near the mountains to help with a problem. From what the letter he got said a newcomer has been acting strange lately.

All the villagers are concerned that they might be planning something and they'd like him to investigate. Currently he's about halfway there as of tonight, so he decides to stay at a nearby inn. When sun rises in the morning he'll pack up and continue towards the village. The innkeeper handed him his room key and escorted him up to the room. Once there he thanked her kindly then unlocked the door and walked inside.

During the night he slept like a log and awoke early the next morning. He washed up, had a good breakfast before paying the innkeeper and resuming his journey. The trip to the village would take another three days of travel according to his map. Luckily enough a passing caravan handler told him of a short cut that would cut that time in half. "That's tricky she tends to pop in and out throughout the day, pretty much keeps to herself. Every so often we see her helping some of the older residents with their groceries. Other than that, the only place you can probably find her is at the butcher shop." The mayor replied.

"Thank you for your time I'll do my best to keep things quiet." Gabriel said getting up. He exchanged a strong hand shake with the mayor and kindly left the building. The first place Gabriel went was the local butcher shop to confirm the mayor's info. Sure enough the butcher backed up what the mayor had told him. Though the butcher knew of a possible location Gabriel could go to find her.

"Nope, it's from my friend Sonya, she says that she's at Kalona village. It's about three day's hike east from here if I want to go see her and catch up." He pointed out rolling the scroll back up. "Well, why don't we go, I'd like to meet those closest to you." Valina replied hooking her arm around his elbow. With that the two lovers ventured off to meet with Gabriel's friend Sonya and many adventures to follow.
