CHAPTER 5 A SERIES OF FORTUNATE EVENTS

Luke woke up today with a strange feeling of motivation and confidence. He was about to step out of bed when he felt something breathe against his neck, causing him to shiver. He looked back and came face-to-face with a sleeping Flamedramon. Apparently Luke woke up before him. He smiled and looked over at a near bye alarm clock that said it was 4:30am. He grinned and slowly slipped out of bed, replacing himself with a pillow in Flamedramons grasp. He quickly got some clothes of his and went to go use the bathroom and shower up. He quickly went into the bathroom and closed the door, stripping down immediately and rushing over to the tub. He turned the hot water on and put his hand under the spray. When he felt comfortable with the temperature he stepped in and sighed in relief, feeling the hot water splash onto him and run down his back, leaving him a nice burning sensation. He grabbed some near bye shampoo and conditioner that smelled nice and mixed them in his hands. He brought his hands up and started to rub and massage his scalp, feeling the grime in his hair quickly give away to a nicer more softer feeling. After washing his hair out he grabbed some body wash, squirting some into his hand. He started to rub it across his body, smelling the wonderful aroma emanating from it, thinking it smelled like a mix of flowers and honey. He continued to wash himself but his eyes shot open when suddenly the shower curtain was pulled back. He eeped and quickly covered his private parts, he quickly looked up to see who it was. There standing with a very big blush on his face and jaw hitting the floor was Tyranitar "L-L-Luke! I-I'm so sorry! I th-thought someone snuck in!" Luke blushed heavily at the very awkward moment "who sneaks into a house to use the shower?!?!" Tyranitar blushed and looked away "y-you'd be surprised, that did happen once" Luke quickly shut off the water and wrapped himself around a towel "j-just leave for one moment, I was just about to get out anyways" Tyranitar nodded and quickly got out of the bathroom. Luke sighed and quickly dried off, putting his clothes on and brushing his teeth. He stepped out and let Tyranitar jump in who apologized to him again. Luke thanked him and went down stairs with a small smile on his face 'he did look kind of cute all flustered like that'

After about two hours everyone started to wake up. There were a few fights over who gets the shower first but only thing was on Flamedramons mind 'where is that pesky human?' he thought as he looked around his room. He decided after a few minutes he wasn't there so he went to the hall way to check as well, however all he saw was Runix and Mike battling over the bathroom. He went down stairs to check and was a instantly surprised. He saw that the kitchen table was absolutely filled with food. There were pancakes, banana's, cereal, omelets, sandwhiches, bacon, sausages, drinks. He stood there for a moment unsure of what he saw "wh-who did all this?" "that would be me" said a voice over by the tv. Flamedramon looked over and saw Luke sitting on the couch, eating a plate of pancakes and some bacon "I figured that today I contribute to the house and make breakfast, what do you think?" Flamedramon stood there, wondering how he made it all when the others started to come down "is that bacon I smell?" Rynera asked, a look of hunger instantly appearing on her face. The others saying the same thing, wondering if they were really smelling what they smelled. They all looked at Luke who was sitting there, not eating now and looking at them shyly "wh-what? I thought we all should have a nice breakfast" The others simply stared at him "you made all that? By yourself?" asked Mike, who couldn't decide whether to stare at Luke or jump at the food. "y-yeah it was easy, I knew how to cook a little and I woke up a little early" Suddenly Tyranitar spoke up "so that's why you were up so early" he said, blushing a little again remembering his encounter with Luke. Luke smiled and nodded "yup!" Runix suddenly got a big grin on his face "well lets not keep the food waiting, lets dig in!" this was followed by a cheer of agreement and a scramble towards the table. When Flamedramon got his food he went down and sat beside Luke "thanks a lot for making breakfast lackey, a nice touch to the cuddling last night" Luke blushed deeply and stopped eating his food for a moment "by the way, what happened this morning between you and tyranitar?" Luke blushed deeper and stuttered "i-I'll tell you about it later"

Once they all got to school everyone waved bye to eachother and walked off to their first classes. Luke and Gerin we're walking to math, laughing and talking about movies and games they've played. When they got their class Luke caught sight of Denith and his heart froze, Denith saw Luke and gave him a death glare. They stared at eachother for a few moment before Gerin tugged Luke along, scowling at Denith. For the rest of class Luke sat extra to Gerin, and continued to look back and see if Denith would do something.

After Math Luke and Gerin met up with Sarah and Rynera and they all continued, walking and talking until Gerin and Samantha waved bye to Luke and Rynera and went off to their own class. Luke Rynera continued walking until they came to science. Luke walked in and sighed in relief as he saw Denith wasn't in this class, however he did have a feeling he knew a certain lion that was in the far back, glaring at him and growling a little. Luke quickly shuffled along with Rynera and took their seats in the second row. The instructor for the class was a very tall Wolf named Mr. Mitchells. He started class with a lecture about cells and the body and how they work. Luke was busy scribbling down notes and listening to Mr. Mitchells, but still felt for some reason that burning glare of the lion.

Luke continued to go to his classes, he had History with Runix, then language arts with Sarah, followed by gym with mike, until finally he had art class with none other tyranitar and Flamedramon. He walked in with them and froze suddenly, his eyes going wide as he Denith again, but not just Denith. There was the lion from math class and also the horse that was with Denith when he first met Luke, but there we're also some other species like there was a male fox, a female bunny, a female Golden Retriever, a male monkey, a male Raptor, and also a female Leopard. They all stopped talking and looked at him, some with eyes of curiosity, but others with eyes of hatred. Luke sat down far away from the group, in-between Flamedramon and Tyranitar. They turned to look at the group as well, returning the glares of hatred with full flame. The art teacher then suddenly entered, surprisingly enough the aert teacher was an iguana, she started to change in an array of colors as she stood in front of the room "hello class!" she said in a high-pitched and cheery voice. "Today we will be learning about how to make masks." When she said this everyone suddenly looked much more attentive, looking up at her with faces of curiosity. "you will all be making masks of whatever it is you wish. It could be a ceremonial mask, a mask of a different species, maybe even a mask of picture, it's all up to you!" Luke smiled as he heard this, as well as Tyranitar and Flamedramon, all three of them getting ideas. "alright, begin!"

Luke sighed as he entered the house with the others after a long day of school. He threw his bag down and went to the kitchen, grabbing a bag bowl of chips and laying down onto the couch, eating some chips and turning on the news. He yelped though when suddenly he felt something sit on him. He looked up and saw that Runix and Flamedramon had both sat down onto him, crushing him into the couch. "h-hey! Get off me, what do I look like a pillow?" Runix grinned and leaned down "well your as soft as one, besides you layed down on the couch, other people will want to sit here, now pass the chips" Luke grumbled and passed them the chips, watching the news when suddenly he felt something start to wrap around him, followed by more weight and even something lifting his head. He groaned from all the weight and saw the Gerin had wrapped around him and rested his head on top of his while Sarah, Rynera, and Mike all sat on him as well, however he found his head was laying on Tyranitars lap. He blushed a little at the last part but regained his posture "Hey! What are you all doing?!" "quiet couch" said Flamedramon who had a big grin on his face. Luke sighed and decided to just lay there, he continued to watch tv until Rynera changed the channel to some kind of reality tv show. Luke groaned but went along with it, laying there watching the odd show and slowly started to drift asleep.
