There was blood. Blood everywhere. It made Tao's own blood run cold as she walked along the hallways of the home. Blood was splattered along the walls and soaked the carpet beneath her feet. She shuddered and whimpered softly as she looked towards the doors on each side of the hall, to her left she knew was Kane's room, but the door on the right was the end of the blood trail, with bloody paw marks on the door. She noticed the door was slightly ajar, and she reached a shaky paw out to push the door open. With a creak, what little light from the window poured in to reveal a gruesome sight. Blood practically dripped down the purple walls onto the splattered floors. The dresser and night stand was turned over, whatever was on top was left scattered on the floor. Clothes were left in a disarray on the floor, some splattered with blood.

What was on the bed made Tao gasp and cover her mouth in fright. Laid in a pool of her own blood, Takiro was still breathing. She was naked, but she was cut up all over her body, it was a surprise she was still alive. The foxes eyes were dark, but tears left streaks down the fur on her cheeks before they landed on a shocked Tao.

Takiro's eyes widened and she visibly trembled before she seemed to try to move away from Tao.

"B-b-behind you..." She whispered, pointing at something behind the she-wolf. Tao trembled and feared turning around, but her body seemed to impulsively turn and something jumped out at her, causing her to let out a high-pitched scream.

Tao woke with a sudden jump, sitting up as she panted softly. Her fur was slightly damp with sweat and her head felt like someone was hitting it with a hammer. She looked up and around herself, realizing she had dozed off on the couch while she was watching tv. Her eyes automatically moved to the hallway. It was spot free of any stain from what she could see.

Tao turned and climbed off of the couch to go down the hallway towards Takiro's room. She stopped in front of the door, quietly pressing her ear against the wood. It was quiet for a while, until she heard a couple of sniffling muffled through the door.

"Takiro...?" She quietly called, knocking softly a few times. There was some rustling and a hiccuped sigh.

"Go away..." She heard the fox sniffle, and some more rustling could be heard behind the door.

"I-I just want to... Apologize. For the way I've been treating you." Tao spoke, letting out a soft sigh before she turned and sat down on the floor, her back to the door.

"I'm sorry I've been mean to you... I've just been kind of jealous..." She muttered, staring down at the plush carpet. She heard the soft sniffling and a bit of rustling behind the door.

"J-Jealous...? Of me...?" Ryn asked, hesitating a few moments as it seemed not the right thing to ask, but she had nothing else to say. A soft chuckle came from Tao.

"Yeah, I guess you can call it that. I've just noticed how you... Can make Kane pay attention to you more than anyone else I know." She sighed once more, hanging her head slightly seemingly in defeat.

"Even I can't get his attention like you do." She admitted, though wondering if the fox was doing it without realizing that she was.

"I had no idea..." Takiro muttered quietly, confirming Tao's curiousity. "I'm sorry for yelling at you... And it seems like I'm stealing Kane away from you." Ryn apologized, Tao hearing more shuffling behind the door. "I'm sorry for that too."

"It's okay, it isn't working out much between us anyways." She disregarded, not really surprised that the small fox apologized. "He has been growing more... Distant, even before he found you. I can just tell by the way he's been acting around me, and noticing how he's different around you than he is with me." Tao explained with a low tone, but no hint of distaste or malice in her words.

"But... How did you find out about... Me?" Ryn hesitantly asked, a hint of fear in her shaky voice. Tao was uncertain to tell her, but the she-wolf let out yet another sigh.

"Your collar has Evan's seal on it, so I looked it up and apparently," she stopped as she hesitated, but continued,"The Internet is an amazing thing. They have a wanted ad out to find you, and are looking for you around the town." She tried to lightly joke as to not frighten the timid fox.

Things were silent on the other side of the door, until Tao was suddenly thrown back with a small yelp as the door she was leaning on quickly opened, laying out on her back to see a wide-eyed Takiro standing over her, a fearful look on her face.

"What?!?!"

Well, so much for trying not to frighten her.
