#8 of Coons of a Color

Secrets get spilled, but the worst is yet to come. Dun dun DUNNNNN!

Jose didn't find any opportunity to get alone with Catherine while they were at the hospital, but his constant search for such a chance had kept him hard the entire time. By the time Mary had come out of the doctors office, he was a ball of sexual energy, on the verge of taking Cat regardless of where they were or who was there. He did his best to restrain himself, knowing that Cat would undoubtedly visit that night.

The drive home was silent, an awkward silence filling every nook and crany. Especially for Cat, since Jose and Mary were sneaking looks at her from the corner of their eyes, though for different reasons. If Catherine was quick enough, she was sure Mary was almost glaring at her from the rear-view mirror, but Mary would quickly turn her attention to the road.

Jose, on the other hand...His glances lingered, and it made Catherine feel warm beneath her fur. She knew what was going through his mind, and she liked it.

When they returned home, Jose was the first one out of the car, rushing to relieve something that had been building up during their entire time at the hospital, and it was not the need to pee.

"Cat, hun, we need to have a talk." Mary said, stern despite the casual words. Catherine was quick to figure out what the subject was. What else could it be? The doctor had told Mary that she was having sex.

Catherine said nothing, waiting for Mary to begin the rant that was sure to come.

"When we started getting your shots, it wasn't permission for you start having sex." Mary began, "It was incase something happened, incase you were raped. How long have you known this boy? Why haven't we met him?" the deluge of questions began, the underlying accusation that Mary were letting just anyfur sex her up did not go unmissed by Cat.

"I know, mom. It's not just anyone, I've known him for a long time we only got together recently." Cat tried to defend herself without spilling the beans about Jose being the one who was sexing her up.

"And do you father and I get to meet this fur? Where do you know him from?" Mary asked before turning with a huff, "It's probably just a fling." she said to herself. Cat said nothing. Mary and Luke had already met Jose, and she had known him her whole life. Whether it was a fling or not, she wasn't entirely sure. She loved Jose, it was true, but she wasn't sure just how she love him, or how he loved her. They had already talked about what they expected, but the feelings...that's what Cat wasn't sure about.

"So, who is it?" Mary pressed, turning back to Catherine.

"Just a boy from school." she said, not looking her mother in the eye.

The answer did not make Mary any happier, "'Just a boy from school.' Just anyfur?" Mary repeated, "Is this how we raised you?"

"It's not like that, mom." Catherine whined, "We've known each other for ever, it's not like he's just anyfur. He's special to me."

Mary huffed, "If he's so special, then you better bring him over. I can only imagine what your father will say when he finds out." she said before entering the house, leaving Cat to simmer by the car.

At the same time, Jose was in his room, thoughts of Catherine in a nurse outfit and riding him had wrapped around Jose's mind like the imagined Catherine's legs were doing to him. He was oblivious to the world, so when Luke tapped on the door and opened it, Jose didn't even realize it until Luke slammed the door shut

"Lock the door if you're going to do that!" Luke said from the other side.

For Jose, it was the equivalent of taking a cold shower, but much faster. "Fuck!" he cussed under his breath, stuffing himself back into his pants and wiping his hands on his pants, "Excuse me." he mumbled as he opened the door to slip past Luke to wash his hands.

Luke put his paw to his face and shook his head. He thought Jose would have been more careful about that. At least it wasn't Mary that had caught him.

When Jose had come back from the bathroom, Luke pushed open the door to Jose's room and motioned for him to sit. Since Jose had spoken with Luke the other day, a topic had been bothering Luke, and he wanted it off his back. Sitting down next to Jose with a sigh. It had not begun as he had hoped.

"Jose, there's something that's been on my mind, something important. Your other would kill us both if she found out I told you, but I think you're ready to know, and I can't keep it a secret any longer. These past 18 years, your mother and I, Mary and I, well...we have, in a way, been lying to you."

Jose looked at his father with a very confused look. What in the hell was he talking about? 18 years, lying? What?

Seeing the confusion, Luke pressed on, "You're adopted." he said, his voice a little quieter.

Jose blinked a few times. Adopted? But...

"Your birth parents were good friends of ours, and they died in a horrible fire when you were still very young. Mary didn't want to tell you unless you found out on your own, but I thought you could handle it." he looked at Jose, concerned Jose wasn't taking it well, "You alright?"

Jose looked at the floor. He was adopted. Despite how sad or depressed or whatever he should have been, he was kind of glad. That meant that what he and Catherine were doing was fine! Well, sort of. They could get married, have a family of their own, and no one could say otherwise!

There was one thing, though. Jameson had been his last name his whole life, everyone knew him by that name, it felt wrong to give it up just so he could be with Catherine.

Jose sat in silence, simply staring at the floor as if it might tell him what he should do, how he should take it, and what he should say.

The silence, of course, made Luke wonder if he had told Jose too soon, "Sorry, I shouldn't have said anything." Luke apologized

"No, it's fine. Thanks dad." Jose quickly responded and flashing a smile to reinforce it.

Luke nodded, glad that Jose was fine. He shouldn't have been worried, it was, after all, big news to just lay out like that.

Father and son sat in silence before Luke let out a hesitant bark of laughter, "Well, now that that's out of the way. So, care to tell me who's got you so hot under the fur?"

Jose groaned, "Dad, really?" he had, deep down, hoped to never have this conversation. But, truth be told, he wanted to know what Luke thought of it.

"Well, while we're on the subject of not telling mom," he said, turning away while his confidence fades, "It's Cat."

Those two words hit Luke like a load of bricks piled in a safe loaded on top of a piano dropped from space. His eyes went wide and the only sound to escape his lips was "Huh."

Jose returned his gaze to the floor, worrying about the punishment was sure to come. He had just confessed, to his father, that he had sexual feelings for Catherine who, up until a few minutes ago, he had believed to have been his sister by blood. It could not go well.

Luke closed his eyes and took in a deep breath, held it, then let it slowly out his nose before opening his eyes, stood, and, as he left the room, said "We need to have a chat with your mother."

Jose flopped back on his bed, feeling like his world was crumbling. With a cuss he slams a back-handed fist into the bed. If he had said anyone other than Cat, if he hadn't been caught, if if if. He heard the door close downstairs and wondered if Cat and Mary had finally come inside. It seemed like a long time had passed since he had rushed inside to relieve himself, now he wanted to cut it off and die.

A moment later, he heard his name called out, and knew what was expected. With a sigh he rolled off his bed and wandered downstairs. At the foot of the stairs he looks around and sees Catherine and Mary seated on one side of the kitchen table, Luke on the other. Catherine looked at the table, refusing to look at anyone or anything other the knot in the table.

Bashfully taking the seat next to Luke he glanced at Cat, wishing he could apologize to her for what he had done, and what was being done, but he didn't dare say anything.
