#4 of The ones left alive

Sorry it's kinda short but I'm pretty tired tonight, exams and all. I'll get more in the morning.

By the time I had woken up, everybody was packing up the Taxi station groups gear into their truck. "Where did they get a working car?" Jackson walked next to me and put a hand on my shoulder "We had to drill a few holes into the pump stations reserve tanks and kill a few raiders to get it working but it was all very easy my friend." He threw me a full back pack filled with some batteries, flashlights, bullet boxes, magazines, flares, and a few other assorted items "That's for the next few days, the least we can do to help you guys out is to give you some supplies." Alexis threw me a bottle of water and smiled "They were so nice, I had to tell them yes when they asked to give us some things." I nodded and threw the gear into my pack. The truck took a bit but it finally turned over "Lets get going, we got people to see!" Jackson hollared as we took off.

In the next few hours, we had made it further then we would have in a few days but we eventually ran into a roadblock and had to disembark from the truck. "I hope she stays here" Jimmy said from behind us in our makeshift formation. "Most likely, it still looks like any other broken down car and no one messed with it where we were." It was a few hours and a few close calls with the undead before we reached another impassable road, and the alternative was the resort down the coast. "I always wanted to spend a weekend here, too bad management decided to put a "No Anthro" Policy on their doors and then became flesh eating zombies." Alexis said before getting out her binoculars. The place looked pretty deserted except for the occasional walker, so we moved in to the area.

Unfortunately, the undead had other plans and one I have never seen before stepped into my view. Its arms were gone except for the bones which were sharpened into serrated knife like implements. I saw it and it charged through a walker to get to us, tearing it in two and the thing throwing it's torso across the yard. "Oh shit! Kill that thing!" Mags yelled and fired a three round burst from her M4, which did nothing. I got the brilliant idea to take out its legs and just kill it like that, so I took the rifle and fired into its knees twice before it fell. Then, as luck would have it, I found out it can crawl even faster then it's running speed. We had no choice but to run away to the hotel, running into a few more of the bastards along the way. By the time we closed and barricaded the doors, we could have sworn to have seen at least ten of those things chasing us at once. "What...the hell...were those things...doing...here?" Alexis huffed out, gasping for air. "I dunno...but...let's promise not to shoot...their legs again." Jimmy said, sitting down on the floor exactly where he fell once we got in here. "Agreed..." I sighed and everyone but me fell fast asleep.

I pulled out the camera and flicked it on "October 25, 2016, 0900. We moved from the taxi depot and make our way to a hotel by the coast. Before we got inside though, we were attacked by a new type of infected. It was fast and brutal, and nothing we did could slow it down. If you see an infected with sharp hands, run for your lives. This is the ones left alive, signing off." I barely was awake enough to close the camera before I too fell asleep in this hotel of the undead.
