New Beginnings and dead ends 13 : "Stop the pain."
When I woke up the second time as I opened my eyes all saw was Kodi the Tiger was gone. I took a wiff of the air to look for his scent when I smelled thebest smell ever, meat. I followed the smell to the extra room and entered through the door there was Sashimi, Sushi rolls, Mongolian chicken, General Tso's chicken, and alot of rice. It took me only a moment to see the Tiger at the rice cooker making another batch I quitley sneak up behind him and grabbing his hips and lifting him in the air. To my demise he thought I was a threat and did a aerial round house kick aimed toward my face which I could only grab his leg and slowly dropped him on the floor trying not to injure him. After seeing my face he smiled before saying "Sorry Oni-Chan you snuck up on me, I thought you were somebody else." I then smiled back and said "You did all this for us? It looks delicious." He sent a grin my way as he walked over to the table and grabbed some Sashimi and fed it to me with chopsticks. It was good to be raw fish "We have to wait for the other guy before we eat any more. Plus he looks a little short so this will be a good source of protien, even though those blue drinks help your body processes food better." After he finished talking it hit me. He drank the liquid too.
I looked into the other room to find the 12 pack of bottles by the door with one missing, confirming my previous belief. "So you drank one huh, are you going through tests too?" Not expecting what came out of his mouth he said "Actually, im on my third. They put me with you two because my other partners either died or got injured really bad. Lets hope nothing happens to you two, I'll make sure nobody hurts my big brother." I grinned before the reality sunk in. This kid survived all the way to the third test when me and Kodi barely survived the last one. "You know that other guy is older than me right?" He shrugged a moment before saying "But he's still that short?" I giggled before saying "You shouldn't be so ruff on him hes just barelyshorter than me.Your not too tall yourself what 4'5 4'6 but your young and have room to grow. Um how old are you anyway?" He kinda blushed before saying "Only eight but one day I'll be as big and strong as you." After he finished his sentence he grabbed his stomach and fell to his knees before coughing up blood.
I asked if he was injured. He only shook his head no. I asked if he had taken anything he replied "Yeah the water they gave us." I ran quickly to one of the bottles and started reading. I couldn't find anything until I looked through the clear part of its side that said into the center of the bottle. It read, Warning: Do Not Give To Small Children It May Cause Permanent Health Problems, If Accidentily Consumed Seek Medical Help Immediately. I Shoke Kodi awake and told him to get the receptionist to get some one down here. He ran out in such a hurry he forgot he was naked. I then walked back to the kid holding him in my arms after I sat on the floor as he nuzzled up to me blood dripping out of his mouth "It hurts. Stop the pain, it hurts. Why does it hurt so bad?" He screamed crying as I held him there. He just stayed balled up all I could do was watch him squirm in agony and wait. His body started growing very slowly maybe only an inchin both hieght and width. But it was still noticible.
A few moments later The receptoionist came in with a Doctor ,Older Weasle around his upper thirties, not exspecting something this bad, the doctor yelled come on, we need to get to the Emergency Room immediatly." I got up carrying him in my arms as we all ran for the E.R. When we got there The cub started convulsing foaming out of his mouth and screamed in agony. The doctor gave him a pain killer and an anesthetic to knock him out. It took a whole minute before he finaly shut his eyes, Afterwards the doctor shooed us off where he could do the opperation. I was shaking so bad That Kodi had to hold my arms still and keep them up to my chest as he held me close. I was crying "I couldn't do anythng, I feel so weak. I could't even help him. He just wallowed in painful agony, in my arms just dying and I could't do a thing about it." I said still tearing up. He just held me tighter saying "Shush, you should't beat yourself up. You stayed with him conforting him. Thats all you can do, It's all you could have done. The doctor knows what he's doing lets just go back to our room and rest. I'll have the receptionist call us when we can see him." I nodded as I leaned on Kodi the entire trip back to our room. We put all the food in tupperware and put them in the refridgerator before going back to sleep.
My dreams were flooded with his screams, seeing him cough up blood. Wakeing me up every time I dozed of. After the third time I slept against the wall next to the door waiting for someone, anyone to tell me he was alright. I finnaly dozed completly off for a few hours before a knock on our door made my heartbeat practically audible Kodi wakeing as I opened the door. "You the cubs' roomates?" I passed out not wanting to hear the final words of the familiar Doberman, he shortly afterword woke me up. When I opened my eyes I Heard him say "He just had side affects from the Fluid he drank, had five seizures, and a concusion. The doctor is stitching him up now. The good news is that he will be back here after morning. Bad news is the chemical destroyed so much of his mucles he has to take dosses of the fluid every day for a few weeks, without too much hard work till his muscles come back at least, or he'll go through withdrawl and possibly die." All I could do was to keep from crying infront of this stranger and not falling unconcious."How much will be in each dose and how do we give it to him?" I questioned The Doberman seeing the pain in my eyes sais "Sorry I have no clue all I can tell you is to ask the doctor tommorow when you pick up your Roomate." I hugged the guy around his neck before realizing he probably wasn't into other males being so close. He just hugged me back I actualy had to peel myself off of him or I know I probably would have never let go.I asked him his room number apparantly across from Jackson and Chris, who only have two more days to take their second test. After he left me and Kodi got back to sleep waiting eagerly for us to finaly see the little guy again.
