A bit of a horror story...

"Are you scared?" Hetsua asked his twin brother. Hetsua was a seventeen year old wolf. With striking white fur and metalic blue eyes. A curly white mane spilled over his back to rest at his waist. He was dressed in a white sacrificial kimono, a red almost glowing band was tied around his waist.

Chou, Hetsua's twin brother-was a one could alredy guess-the splitting image of Hetsua. His mane was however, a bit less curly then Hetsua's.

Chou shrugged his shoulders. "Not really...maybe a little bit..."

Hetsua nodded. They had been chosen by the village cheif to complete the ritual.

When twins were born they was automatically chosen for the ritual which domed the village every tenth year. No if's and's or but's about it.

And now it was their turn...

They stood in a cave with a hole in its celing, moonlight fluttred down from it, cradling them in soft light.

Hetsua closed his eyes, suddenly overwhelmed by the horrible fate that was to befall them this night.

Countless candles were lit around them on carved shelves. The misty ,golden glow they produced was a stark contrast to the cold light of the moon.

Hetsua's tail flicked. Chou turned to his younger twin.

"You're nervous..." It was more of a statement then a question. After all, the twins almost always knew what the other one was thinking. They had an almost unatrual way of comunicating.

Hetsua knew that,if he opend his mouth he would puke. He noded wordlessly to Chou.

Chou in turn quietly walked up to his younger brother, the rustling from his white kimono the only sound. He silently wrapped Hetsua in a warm, cocooned hug.

"You must promise me that you will not fail...or hesitate!" He said. His voice was,as always, soft and yet strong at the same time. To think that after tonight, Hetsua would never hear his voice again...

Chou suddenly gript Hetsua's shoulders tightly, almost harshly.

"Promise me!" He hissed suddenly.

Hetsua felt nauseous again. Still, all he could do was nod.

Chou relaxed the, the tension in his shoulders draining away.
