Dragon Realm

Despite of the loss at the main world, the 'other' world seemed celebrating on something.

"Oh, Gerard, don't forget the planks and some nails, okay? Artigan needs them for the stage," said a female dragon.

"Honey, we don't have more planks. Those are used when our house was burned by accident by that little dragon."

"Oh, don't be that angry on it. It's just a wall segment."

"Yeah, you can say that. Planks are hard to get!"

"I know it's hard, dear, but since that weird mole gave portal technology to us, we can buy some at the Capital Realm some miles away from here and of course you know what I'm going to ask you, right? We do have shells."

The male dragon grunted and walked outside. He was standing on two legs, just like most adult dragons living there. The place, a beachside, was crawling with them and no other beings could even stand on their heights. Most couldn't breathe fire and lived peacefully on the island. Initially an uncivilized big island, some dragons stranded here started to make a place where dragons could reside in peace of holiday and fun. The place was always summer, and now many dragons lived here. This place was then called Dragon Realm.

"Damn, I hate having to go to the Capital. The place was crowded and very much dirty," thought the male. "Well...she got a point, though. It's just a wall segment."

While he was walking, two dragons walked near him, talking on each other. They were both carrying some fire woods on their backs.

"Hey, it's good to have some visitors here after that vacuum 4 years without tourists," said one.

"Yeah. Thanks to that purple dragon. He is really sacrificing himself for all of us. The moniker 'hero of the Dragon Realm' is not for show."

"And...where is he?"

"At this time of the day, if he wasn't summoned by the Elders, he's at the beach, basking himself on the hot summer. Oh, he likes to sleep at this time of the day."

Meanwhile, at the beach, the dragon they mentioned really was sleeping soundly while his friend, literally a dragonfly, slept on a beach chair while he was awakened by a crackling sound alongside a sight of a derelict-looking robotic bird.

"Oh, that's the mole calling again," thought the dragonfly. "I think I need to..."

Suddenly, the crackling sound became very loud and a wormhole opened in the middle of the sky, prompting a silver red figure to hit the sleeping dragon. His body bounced many times on the sand and even he tried to stop the crash by using his sharp tail tip as a brake, with no use. They only stopped when Seraphor hit a rock, to which it was also destroyed into pieces. Fortunately, no dragons except the ones building a stage were present.

The dragon Seraphor crashed woke up in rage and started to draw a breath before Seraphor, now realized what he hit, saying, "Whoa, wait! It's just a coincidence I hit you! I don't have any intention to hit...ouch! My head!"

The dragon, surprised, replied, "Y...your body...it's full of wounds, man!"

"I know. I was having...wait a sec, I thought I was dead...."

"Spyro, are you alright? What with this silver fellow?"

"I'm alright, but I guess this silver dragon needs some medical attention."

"How about..."

"I'm okay, Sparx! I managed to trade places with him to stop more damage!"

Seraphor then tried to wake up, but the pain on both his previous fight and his extended crash alongside his head made him immobile and dizzy. Although he was a dragon, the combination of the pains was still too hard to bear. In another time when he tried to wake up again, he could stand long enough (despite of Spyro's protest) and opened his wings, only to find them reduced to bones like they used to be. Seeing this, he said, "Here we go again..."

"Okay, let's just leave this silvery fella for a while and hear me, Spyro," said Sparx.

"Yeah, what is it?"

"There's Professor's bird coming to ya, but I don't know where it..."

When Sparx traced the smoke, he realized the mechanical bird was hit by the crash, and maybe it was destroyed throughout.

"Oh, nevermind. Professor needs you."

"I can't leave an injured dragon here, right?"

"Okay, maybe that mole can wait for a while. Give him coconut water, will ya, Spyro?"

Because he couldn't move too much, Seraphor heard their conversation, and while they're trying to find a coconut, Seraphor tried his earth power on the sand, which worked and made the sand slowly levitate, revealing some pieces of letter. Seraphor tried to trace the papers so they could be readable, and found a message:

"Spyro, it seems you're enjoying your day-off in the summer holiday. I can say you are also lacking some actions since that..."

Because of the crash, some parts were unreadable, and of course, Seraphor that had just got the hang on reading human's writing also had some difficulties in reading them. The only thing he could trace from them was that there was a human or sort trying to summon this 'Spyro', and from what he had heard, Spyro was the purple dragon he crashed to. Trying to get up again, he knew he lost all of his energies and he was in the verge of unconsciousness. By that time he saw Spyro gave him something half-open.

"Here. You must be thirsty. It's a coconut, see? Good for your body."

"I...thanks..."

When he tried to drink it with his tongue (which made Spyro and Sparx felt weird since they never did this), Seraphor suddenly felt very bad, but he tried to hold it as not to make the purple dragon, which was still very young on his own interpretation, to get disappointed.

"Well? Is it good?"

"Y...yeah, thanks! I...never got this kind of s...I mean, drink, in my place," said Seraphor while holding his breath as to force himself to gulp the water.

"Oh, but you miss the white part. It's the best part, you see. This is a fruit, after all."

"A fruit?!"

"Whoa, I know you're a dragon, and dragons are carnivores, but this is an exception for those kinds of shits. Anyway, I'm Spyro."

"I...I'm Seraphor..."

That was the last words he could say before he fainted, both because of the wound and the exhaustion he experienced. While he fainted, he kept dreaming on many things, especially Avila and Ray's death. Ray, a golden dragon with powerful electricity power and with real name Raithorakh, was Seraphor's mentor in electricity. He was the one trying to teach the silver red how to use electron altering power, but Seraphor felt that was only for genuine electricity dragon like Ray. While Ray believed a dragon as powerful as Seraphor could use it, Seraphor felt the hybrid powers he got limited his usage in each elements.

While he was recalling on a fictional account on how Ray was killed by his own claws as a nightmare, he was awaken by a loud shouting. A human's shout, but was so loud it was like Avila's fear power, albeit not a high-pitched voice.

"W...what the hell...?"

"Oh, he's awake! You guys are really in a great trouble! Why are you two turning on the stereo with a metal song in it?!"

"I...I thought it's filled with Beethoven's..."

"Screw that!"

"Uh, what's going on? I heard a human's shout...and...and then after you shout, it's gone."

"Oh, sorry for that. I've got a new stereo for the lobby, and those two played with it and put a metal song CD if there's no visitor. I put a classic song in it."

"Yeah...though, I must say, it's still not as convincing as a shout. What is a stereo?"

"You don't know?"

"Maybe it's because I'm a stranger scales here. I never came from this world, though." Hearing that, the orange-scaled dragon chuckled for a moment before bursting into a laugh. He laughed as loud as the stereo, and because of Seraphor's sharp ears, he felt uneasy and tried to close his ears and realized that he couldn't use his front legs as good as those dragons standing on two legs.

"Oh, maybe that boulder made you like this! Oh, that's really hilarious!"

After he calmed a bit, he then said, "You need some rest, man. You're full of bandages and your head is injured. Here, get some tea."

Again, the mysterious liquid Seraphor never drank before made Seraphor almost puke again, but he held them. The orange dragon that saw his expression then said, "You don't need to drink those if you don't want it, though. Spyro and the other young quads and bipeds don't like these herbal drinks. They prefer cola or some sort, and I disagree with that. Take some water, and that's my advice. How old are you?"

"Around 36."

"You seem small for an adult dragon. I can't protest on that, though. The quads here are very young and only around teenager ages. Spyro, for instance. He's still 18."

"Oh, that's too...young for a teenaged dragon like him."

"Too young? He's leaving teenage life to maturity!"

Seraphor was surprised on the fact. He realized he wasn't in his world again, but at the same time he knew how age grew slowly in this world. He, that was considered a young dragon coming to a transition to young adulthood in his world, was considered adult here. Even, Spyro, that was considered very young in the silver red's perception, was around the same age with Seraphor. The fact made him thinking too much and made him fainted again.

"Maybe he's forcing himself because of that song," thought the dragon.

Meanwhile, Spyro was trying to play another song when a visitor, definitely not a Dragon Shores dragon, came in. He quickly changed the song into the classics, but instead of the regular Beethoven, he put in an unlabeled CD that played a completely different song. The CD had jazz compilation songs inside.

"Uh..."

"Sonny, is this inn open?"

"Y...yes," replied Spyro slowly. "I'll call the caretaker. I'll be back in a sec."

Then Spyro, with the speed given to him because of the quadrupled feature he had, ran to the place where the silver red he saved earlier slept, and found the orange dragon.

"Artigan! There's a customer!"

"Customer? Customer?! Oh mother of ancestors, I forgot! This is summer holiday!"

"Just run to the check-in counter while I look out on him!"

While Artigan ran towards the lobby in a hurry, Sparx came in. "Hey, how's this silver dragon?"

"It should be okay. The forest in Dragon Realm has many herbs to choose from. I knew some herbs Hunter used to told me...anyway, it's strange he hadn't come for the last two days. I thought he promised he will come on this summer holiday."

"Maybe he got something to do with the tribe leader. He's a busy cheetah, unlike you."

"We're a different race after all."
