New Beginnings and Dead Ends Part 9 : "Contract"
I woke up to the sound of someone at the door knocking as I sat up I realized Kodi was still naked. So I threw blankets on him then cracked the door to see a Doberman Pinscher at the door. He asked quizedly "Um, your Soul?" I replied after clearing my throat "No, I'm his freind why do you need him?" He shook his head and said "I can only talk to him about it. Is he here? If not then where is he?" I snapped back "No he's in his girlfreinds room." He then appologized before handing me 2 clipboards. I then asked "Whats this?" he responded matter a factly "Its a three page contract in duplicate along with a duplicate map, Give the duplicates to your friend Kodi, and Then turn them into the receptionist desk." I then asked "But we are under 18. How can we sign a contract?" his only replied "Cause with a contract all we need is your name to enroll you here, along with other info. After signing, you belong to us. You have three days after tommorow at 6pm. So Id read it plenty of times before signing it." Then he left.
FOURTH DAY AND ALREADY ASKED TO SIGN A CONTRACT WHAT IS THIS PLACE? I then closed the door and started to read it. In short: You are free to roam through the facility at will except outside. Fights are not aloud outside of the practice room. You can have two roommates with no gender requirements if you speak to the receptionist first and they agree. Any and all illegal acts will be punished by being sealed in a N-Chamber for 24 hours or less pending on the crime. You can carry your weapons around whenever you want but can only be used if during tests. You will recieve your weapons after signing the contact. We will go through every peice of mail, E-mail, and coment on any site you get on. We will crack any codes within if suspicious if it holds any illegal contents you will be sentenced 24 hours in the N-Chamber and the evidence will be destroyed immediatly. Rooms are first come first serve along with practice rooms you must talk to the receptionist before claiming it as yours. You are alotted 100 droids a day, any more its 10 Hours in the N-Chamber. After signing this Contract you will recieve $100 per hour, except during tests $150 per hour will be your payment till the end of the test. If the test takes less than an hour to complete you gain $300. Any injury will be solved by our medical experts on-site any permanent damage from the facility is not our fault from the moment you sign this contract. And then the basic info questions. WHATS A N -CHAMBER.
"Who was that?" replied a drowsy Kodi. I turned around and noticed his morning wood "Cover that thing up." was the only thing I could get out before throwing his duplicated contract at him. He looked around a second then he caught the hint and covered it with my pillow. After he did that he said "kinda got blue balls its been so long I guess the blood flow just couldn't help itself." I reply "Maybe later, read the contact first." he giggled then started reading he went pale about mid way through the second page but he kept reading till the information page then started shaking. I crawl on the bed next to him after locking the door and softly said "Its okay, if you dont want to they cant make us, we can return home if you want to, if you turn back now I'll follow you." he only grinned and said "I'll do it I... I just wish I had more freedom." I cuddled next to him and replied "Why such a change in heart?" he blushed and Whispered "Now I cant have my younger friend loosing this oppurtunity cause of me."
I then got off the bed and grabbed 2 pens from the clipboards attached to the contracts and gave one to him as we signed the rest of the papper work we got dressed we both scanned the map. Noticing we were on the -5th floor made me wonder how huge this building realy is. He wagged his tail as he walked out of the room reading the map as we made our way to the receptionest desk which was on the first floor of the huge building. After riding the elevator till we got to the first floor we noticed when we got out the receptionest desk was there across from us. It was manned by a 25 possibly 30 year-old buck. "Hello sir we signed the contract and are willing to go through whatever you put us through." The hyper Dalmatian practically yelled. "So much energy, heh okay boys just put them in the slot designated for the contract." The buck replied Kodi snatched mine and walked over to the desk as put them both in the slot. After a few seconds the buck typed a few keys on his keyboard and the slot made a noise I've never heard before.
After a few seconds it stopped as he looked at his computer for a momment he then asked "Want to go ahead and arange your rooms and practice rooms?" we both smiled as I told him "We would like to share one room hopefully on the fifth floor if you could. That goes for the training room to." He smiled and said "Any specifics." I shrugged and asked sarcasticaly "Unless we could get our weapons and jumpsuits back?" He typed for a few seconds and turned around pulling 2 cards with our names on them and a pamplet before telling us "Okay, The rooms are vacant for now but its numbers are on the card and your stuff should be ready in a few hours. Have fun in the mean time you two. For anything else you need to know there is pampletes over there for practically every thing here or if you wish I could help you out." I replied skeptically "So your telling me you have already cleaned and repaired our stuff and that room?" he looked confused and said "Yeah, we had it all cleaned up 5 hours later. Dont want the next group slipping on blood now do we? Even though the groups are sepperated by 2 to 3 days between each other you can never be too safe."
I then asked "What is there to do here?" he then said "We have a pool, a hot tub, a bowling rink, sports areas, a track, a fitness room, and much more." I replied "You had me at Hot tub." He rummaged around in a closet behind the desk before popping out holding green and blue tie dyed silky water ware "Here take some swimware." After I took the swimware and Kodi grabbed his the deer then gave us directions to the pool. While walking toward the elevator I started thinking there must be a catch. Then I looked at the pamplet he gave us. It showed what hell is to come in the next many years. I froze in place right then unable to mutter a single word.
