New Beginnings and Dead Ends Part 7 : Old Friends
As I run toward the room it was like walking into the lighti just kept running and as i entered I saw him. "Longtime no see Shepherd." i felt my heart skip a beat at the sound of his voice my only reply "So-So-Soul?" he then ran up Giveing me a brief hug before he lifted my muzzle and said "Don't worry it was just a test, im still scarred and i took it a couple days ago." as I open my eyes I see him. A Bat about my size 5'8 a little stalky and mucular before I ask "I never thought I'd see you again after you moved three years ago what have you been doing all this time" he then replied with a grin "Writing, living life, and I got a job being a Dj under "fox" before just recently I joined the ranks here at this new facilaty." Ranks, New Facility. He continued "I see you brought Kodi he is alright? Isn't he?"
I look over to see Kodi crawling slowly toward us. I then grabbed Souls arm and ran toward Kodi trying to help him up. Soul grabbed one arm over his shoulder I grabbed the other as we moved back into the room of light dragging Kodi with us before we closed the door as we layed him down on the floor. "Kodi, look at me, its me Shepherd look Soul is here too are you alright?" He nooded as he hugged us tightly around our neck as he said in a hushed tone "blood, so much blood." before he passed out on the floor.
Me and Soul drag him into the showers before I ask Soul where his room was and how do I get there from here. He simly pointed at another door and gave me directions before walking out. I then turn the water on and tested it till it was luke-warm I then stripped myself and Kodi of the jumpsuits be fore pulling his limp body into my chest and just held him there as I let the blood wash out of our fur. After atleast an hour he comes back to reality and starts asking, "Where am I? Whats going on?" I then let go of him before saying "Calm down, its over....... its over." he then crawls back towards me and cries on my shoulder. I just sat there rubing his head and his neck trying to comfort him. After awhile he stops crying stands up and grabs the soap from the shelf hanging from the shower-head and rubs it over his body slowly, almost like it wasnt even him, completly drained of all energy. I then stand up and walk to the shower next to his and scrubed every inch of my body.
Afterwards I look over at him as he fell to his knees waiting I know for atleast a few minutes before standing back up and walked toward me. I helped him stand the rest of the way as I grabbed the towels and dried us off before putting on the clothes tey left. Which where white t-shirts with a logo of a winged snake in a figure eight on the right part of the chest, white cargo pants, and slip on shoes of unknown desent that looked like slippers but made of rubber.
After we get clothed I walked to Souls room dragging Kodi with me. when we arrive Soul was in the bed looking at the T.V. which wasplayin the big bang theory. He then asked "come on up here lay Kodi down and your not looking to good yourself." I softly layed Kodi on the bed as I took off his slip on shoes. Soul giggled a little then said "Still have that nurchering side of you dont you?" I smugly reply "Yeah yeah, Dont rub it in its just me being me. You should know, I used to be like a brother to you, that is till you moved." Soul chuckled and replied "Yeah those were the days, oh how old are you again." I blushed and said "Oh, 16 I got a summer job and everything.Kodi is 17 now. By the way I went to a party that you Dj'd at once. You got the crowd going wild. At the time I wish I could have said something to you but never did."
He looked at me awhile and asked "What would that be?" I teared up a ittle as I said "I wanted to ask if you liked me even a little." He shook his head and said "Of course I liked you I... I just didn't want to get hurt if you said no." I stopped crying as I looked at him and finaly replied heart in my throat "so you were gay too." he quickly added "I was bi not gay. Anyway you need to get some sleep." He then got up and headed into another room I just laid there until I finaly fell asleep.
