"The G.R.R. Draft" By: Silverback Christianpaw   Testify The air in the arena felt much more different than normal. Although everything was in the right place, Zenaku next to me, the GRR Tag Team Championship belt strapped around my waist, but today was very different. All of the wrestlers stood around the ring like we were ordered to do by Ms. Draxa. But the odd thing is that some of the wrestlers around the ring look new to me. There is a big, red husky, an even bigger red lion with flame markings on his tights, a fox wearing under-armor and arm bands, just all these different guys I've never seen before. Rumors have been flying around for weeks that G.R.R. has bought another wrestling promotion that went bankrupt a few months ago and they were going to be some big changes here at Gold Rush Restling. I look up at the ring and there is a couple of microphones and what looks like a big, gold, bingo-ball counter. Suddenly music starts playing throughout the arena and some of the fans started to stand and cheer, they are probably just as confuzzled as we are. I kept looking at the stage and it was Ms. Draxa in a dark blue business suit walking down the ramp and she has a championship belt over her shoulder. It looks like the gold in the championship was cracked and there were deep cracks all around the gold plate with the word "HARDCORE" written across it. And not only that, but she wasn't walking alone. A short but overweight black grunk (grizzly/skunk) accompanied her. He also has a championship belt over his shoulder, only this one was a lot more shiny and beautiful like it was brand new. I only got more confuzzuled and even a little nervous as they climbed the steps in the corner and into the ring. Some of the fans were cheering this guy as well; maybe some of our audience knew who he was, because I've never seen him before in my life. The music shut off and Ms. Draxa held the microphone up to her chin, "Now, I know that some of you have heard the rumors. You've been reading the newspapers and posting online. Well, I am here today to tell you that G.R.R. has made history." Some of the fans cheer. "Now in case you didn't already know, Extreme and Hardcore Wrestling filed for bankruptcy a couple of months ago. Well, when I see an opportunity present itself, I have to take advantage. And our people met with his people," she pointed to the grunk, "and they have agreed to sell EAHW to us." Some of the fans applaud. "Now what are we going to do with this? Well, that brings me to this guy," she points at the grunk again, "this is Chris Grunk, the guy who owned EAHW and he has an announcement to make." The guy adjusted his necktie and his baseball cap as he got ready to speak, "Ladies and Gentlemen, like my associate already alluded to, my name is Chris Grunk and I'm going to bring you something new, something that is going to shake the very foundation of pro-wrestling and G.R.R. as we know it today. This wonderful company bought my promotion, Extreme and Hardcore Wrestling, and has decided to bring it back to life. But not just bring it back to life, but make it bigger and better than ever before!" He smiles. Mr. Draxa says into her mic, "That's right, in one month's time, on January 3rd, we are going to bring you a brand new show concept called All-Extreme, G.R.R.'s newest weekly show. It has no limits, no restrictions, where going to the extreme is not only an option, but it's encouraged. And this guy is going to be the General Manager running everything in this new show." Grunk smiles even wider as more of the fans start to cheer and applaud. He says, "Now in case you haven't noticed already, both Ms. Draxa and I have championships over our shoulders. Well that's because All-Extreme, just like G.R.R.'s other broadcasts, will have its own champions. Both of us have been working around the clock, doing lots of negotiating and have created a roster of talented, fearless wrestlers. These guys are the innovators of hardcore wrestling and fought hard in EAHW. And I'd like to introduce you to one of these wrestlers." He motioned to somebody to come into the ring. A silver weasel complies and climbs into the ring; a medium-built guy wearing an All-Extreme black T-shirt and shiny black tights that had the words "Hunter" written on the sides. The grunk's smile grew even more still. "This gladiator," Gunk says with his paw over the weasel's shoulder, "is Brian Hunter. This guy ate, breathed, and slept EAHW and was the World Champion before the company came to a close." He looks at the weasel with the smile and presents him with that beautiful championship belt. Hunter takes it with an equal smile and gets ready to strap it around his waist, but Grunk gets behind him in a hurry and snaps it on for him. Zenaku nudges me and whispers into my ear, "I've seen this guy wrestle. He is pretty damn tough, and I've heard he's actually a really great guy to be around." "Hehe, nice," I whisper back. Hunter looks out at the crowd with that championship around his waist. Grunk says, "Now this championship used to be known as the EAHW World Championship . . . but it has now been rechristened as the . . . All-Extreme World Championship." Hunter raises his paws in the air and more of the fans stand and cheer for him. Ms. Draxa picks up her microphone and starts talking to Grunk, "Now that is not the only championship that your wrestlers will be fighting for," she takes the other championship belt off her shoulder and gives it to him to hold up over his head to the crowd. "This is going to be All-Extreme's other title. I present the brand new G.R.R. Hardcore Championship. This title is going to be very different than any championship we have ever had in this company, because every single time that this title is defended it's going to be under hardcore rules. Weapons are legal, falls count anywhere, any time there is a scheduled title match with this title then it's a hardcore match, bottom line. And I knew that a championship this special should go to the land of the hardcore." Grunk puts the title over his shoulder and Brian Hunter, the All-Extreme World Champion, got out of the ring and rejoined us on the outside. She says, "Now that we have got all of that out of the way, that brings us to tonight. All-Extreme will be premiering one month from now on Tuesday, January 3rd. But now Chris Grunk and I have made one more agreement. In order to make this new extreme brand of G.R.R. really work it's going to need some established talent. That brings me to this," she walks over to the gold bingo-ball counter. "We have each and every G.R.R. wrestler that is not a current champion, we have their names on these bingo balls. I have allowed Chris Grunk to pick four wrestlers to jump over to the extreme brand and we are going to pick two of those four wrestlers right now." She cranks the gold handle on the side and the balls all start swirling around. Zenaku whispers again, "Wait, she said there weren't any current title-holder's names in there, right?" "Yeah," I reply. "So that means we are immune, hehe." We both slap each other's paw and wait for the first draft pick. She stops spinning the thing around and opens up a little door on the top and Gurnk pulls out a little white ball with a wrestler's name on it. He showed it to the camera and says, "Demetri Wolf is now part of All-Extreme." Some of the fans start cheering. I look over at Demetri who stands across the ring from me. He starts laughing in excitement and jumping up and down happily. The guys around him give him congratulatory pats on the back and shaking his paw in support. Ms. Draxa spun the counter again and after a few spins they pull out yet another ball with another wrestler's name. He says, "Clyde S. Dale is now a part of All-Extreme." A lot more fans came out of their seats and start cheering and so did some of the wrestlers. "Oh hell yeah!" Zenaku says almost into a laugh as he claps his hands over his head in excitement and my tail sways back and forth happily. I remember oh too well the trouble I had with Clyde S. Dale, the bloody attacks I got from him and Soultiger, and the fist-fight we had in the toy store. And now he's gone to a different show? This is pawsome! "Where is the lucky guy?" Grunk says excitedly into his mic. The rest of us look around but we couldn't find him either. Come to think of it, none of L.A.N.C. is out here. Not Soultiger, Clyde, or the Husky Brothers. Where the hell are they? This is big! Suddenly a mix of music and tiger roars erupted from the sound system as Soultiger, Clyde, and the Husky's all made their way down the entrance ramp. The wrestlers parted like the Red Sea as these four combustible elements made their way into the ring. Soultiger with an angry look on his face unceremoniously snatches the microphone away from Ms. Draxa and gets right in Grunk's face. "Ahem. I don't know what kind of joke you're trying to pull here, tubby, but Clyde S. Dale isn't going anywhere. You see he doesn't work for you, he works for me. And I've already got plans for him. He is going to help me in my quest to get back my GRR Championship that was stolen from me at Wargames. So you better grab another ball there skunk, because nobody is going to break L.A.N.C. up. Not you, not her (pointing at Ms. Draxa), not anybody." All of the guys got out of the ring and started to walk back up the ramp-way . . . that was until Grunk got back on the mic. "Hold on there boys," the fans start cheering again, "This is damn sure no joke. All-Extreme is going to shake the entire wrestling business. Now, Clyde, I'm talking to you big guy, you can choose to walk away if you want. But I have to say that you don't work for the tiger, you work for me now. Now, if you don't want the job then that's fine, you can walk away. But I must warn you, if you walk away you will be fired." The fans cheers get even louder and Clyde absolutely looks dumbfounded. He doesn't know what to do. I can't help but start laughing as Clyde starts shaking his head and arguing with Soultiger. Soultiger powered back up to the ring, now even more furious than ever, with Clyde following behind him. He gets right in the guy's face. I'm starting to get worried because I knew this overweight grunk was going to be no match for Soultiger. Zenaku gave me a look; he didn't even have to say it. If this gets way too out of paw then we were going to be the first ones in there to help him out. I look at all of these wrestlers around the ring and some of them had the same expressions on their faces, particularly the All-Extreme wrestlers. Soultiger swats Grunk's microphone out of his paw, "You can take your hardcore promotion and shove it straight up your ass! Because Clyde doesn't need to wrestle, all he has to do is work for me and he will be forever financially secure. Isn't that right Clyde? hehe . . . Clyde?" We watched as the big horse took a few steps away from Soultiger. His jaw was half-open and he's scratching his head, he doesn't know what to do. Soultiger talks to him again off-mic. I couldn't hear what they were saying as Clyde pled his case. I hear Clyde mention "kids" and "family" but the rest is very faint. This was definitely becoming a night where changes were going to be made. There's a third brand for G.R.R. that's going to be hardcore as hardcore can get. With two brand-new champions, lots of brand-new wrestlers, and now this. Fox, my tail is curling up around my leg with excitement. Soultiger's words were getting louder with every second he is yelling at Clyde. The horse started scratching his hair violently, he's got to make a decision and make it now. "Grah!" Soultiger pushes him. The entire audience gasps as Clyde bounces back into the ropes. He grabbed the ropes, but Soultiger pushes him in the chest again. "Come on you big bastard!" he says into the microphone. "Whoa!" I said to myself. "Ohh!" the crowd gasps. Clyde looks at him and grunts. His hands are down; he's not even getting angry, he looks sad more than anything else. Sad that it had to come to this, that after everything that has gone down this is how it was going to end. Clyde shoves him in the shoulder as he walks past him and stands next to his boss, his new boss. The fans cheers grow louder and Grunk's smile grows even wider. I think he's going to have to have that smile surgically removed from his face now. Clyde politely takes the microphone away from Grunk, "Look, Soultiger," he says low and rough, "I don't want to do this either, but I've trained for years just to make it to G.R.R. and I can't walk away from that, man. I need the money and joining All-Extreme might be kinda cool. And quite frankly man . . . I don't think you're going to get the GRR title back anyway." "Ohh!" the fans shout. If Soultiger wasn't shaking with anger before, then he damn sure was now. His fur was pricking and his face was turning red. SLAP! Soultiger slaps Clyde. The fans gasped again and Soultiger leaves the ring quickly with the Husky's and they made their way back up the ramp. "You are nothing without me!" Soultiger screams into his mic as he made his way up the ramp, "You son of a bitch! You're going to pay for this!" he points at Clyde . . . or maybe he's pointing at Grunk. I can't really tell. Grunk says, "Now, ahem, I still have two more draft picks, but I'm going to decide those by watching these guys in action tonight, so I can find out just who is right for All-Extreme. Because it's about time we get on to the action, am I right?" the fans start clapping and cheering him on. "Exactly, well tonight Ms. Draxa and I have negotiated a very special main event tonight. We are going to have what I call, a 'special attraction.' For the first time ever here on Warzone we are going to have a 'Champion vs. Champion' Match. It's going to be the GRR Champion, Silverback," the fans cheer and Silverback, who was standing with Coach Striker right next to us, "against my protégé, the All-Extreme World Champion, Brian Hunter!" The fans cheers and claps grow louder. Fox, this is insane. In just a few minutes time the entire landscape of GRR has changed . . . and there's still two more draft picks to go.

Silverback It's almost match time as I jump up and down, my big belly bouncing happily along the way. I pop my knuckles and pull a bottle of water from the catering table and take a small sip of it. Demetri Wolf walks up to me, his tail wagging happily and excitedly. "Good luck on your match tonight," he says giving me a big hug. "Congratulations on being drafted, how do you feel?" "Well, I'm excited for the opportunity, hopefully I can still have great matches with their extreme style. And I'm going to miss a lot of the guys here." "You'll do great. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they gave you the first shot at their world title." "Really? Hehe, that'd be nice. We'll see what happens but I am still going to miss being on the other two shows. I've heard the roster is going to be a 'frozen' roster and we can't jump back--" "What the fuck do you mean Light Husky is going to All-Extreme?!" We look over and see Soultiger talking, well yelling, at Ms. Draxa. "I'm sorry Soultiger, but I gave Grunk the leeway to pick any four talents he wants, and Light is not a current title-holder, so he's a free-agent for the pick." He growls, "You are going to pay for this, woman. Nobody is going to break up my cabinet. You will be hearing from my attorney!" he stomps away heavy-panting as he left the backstage area. I grunt, "This is going to be a weird night, I just know it."

Silverback BAM! My belly gets slammed into the corner turnbuckles. I look down at my sweetiebear, Coach Striker, as he cheers me on at ringside. BAM! I feel heavy wrestling boots hit my back and push me harder into the turnbuckle. Brian Hunter wraps his arm around my leg, probably trying to go for a quick roll-up. "Ugh! Guh!" he groans and keeps trying to get me off my feet, but I'm just too heavy to scoop up. I think fast and immediately kick my legs out to the side, letting my over 500 pound body come down on him and crush his arm. "Ahh! Ahh! Mahhh!" I look down as his paw sticks out from under my crotch, his fingers shaking. I mercifully roll off of him and he scurries out of the ring holding his arm in pain. I roll out from underneath the bottom rope and grab his wrist and throw his arm down on the steel steps. BAM! "Ahhh! Gahh!" he screams. I grab his arm and bash it against the steps again, BAM! "Ahhh!" He desperately kicks me in the gut, holding his arm close to his body and hits me with a sidekick to the face, which backs me up into the steps, but not hard. Then he meets me with another kick to the gut, hooks my head, and falls back to let me land headfirst on the floor with a DDT. "Ohh!" a fan says. My head thumps painfully every time my heart beats. I hold it to comfort it momentarily with my flabby forearm fur. I return to my feet and turn around to see Hunter climbing the ropes. I quickly take his foot position out from under him before he can try a crazy dive attack and he falls violently back down to the canvas. "Ohh!" I hear some of the fans say. Although his attempt failed, it gave me a great idea, a dive attack on him would surely keep the All-Extreme World Champion down for three seconds. I climb to the top turnbuckle and the rope shakes under my feet but I try to keep my balance (as much balance as a 500-pounder can). I look up at my opponent but he's already up and decks me in the face with a right paw. JAB! My feet lose their bearing and I sit violently on the top turnbuckle and he continues to lay into me with more rights. My eyes feel they are going to pop out of my head, they may both be swollen. I feel his arm wrap around my neck like when he gave me the DDT, but now he's climbing the ropes. I stand on the second rope to try and get out of it but I can't see where to go. I feel him grab the waistband of my trunks and he hits me a vertical suplex off the ropes (also known as a "super-plex"). Both our bodies hit the canvas hard, but mine comes crashing down a lot harder as all 500 pounds fly off the second rope and hit with a loud FLOP! The fans show their appreciation with hoots and hollers and lots of clapping. They're loving this match and to be honest I am too. This guy, Brian Hunter, I have never wrestled before. I can see what made him a champion in EAHW and I can see what will make him a great champion in All-Extreme. I roll onto my front and push myself up with my knee, with my opponent doing the same. My back is hurting bad, it hurts so bad that my body shakes just trying to stand. The fans claps get even louder . . . until I start hearing a smattering of boos. Hunter takes his eyes off of me--FWAP! I get hit right in the back and my body cringes in pain again. Then I see him, Soultiger with a steel chair in his paws. The fans all boo and jeer, Hunter misses a punch and Soultiger wallops him in the face with the steel chair. FWAP! The he turns back around and hits me in the knee. "Ahh! God!" I immediately go down holding my knee in pain. I hear the bell being rung for the 'no contest' as he continues to kill me with chair shots. FWAP! FWAP! FWAP! He hits me again, and again, and again right to my knee. I scream out in pain with each time he hits me. Somebody grabs my paw and pulls me out of the ring. My teddy bear, Coach Striker, puts my arm over him to keep me vertical. I watch in horror as Soultiger turns his attention back to Brian. He hits him again and again in the shoulder before Hunter gets enough bearings to roll out of the ring. Soultiger is furious. He throws the chair down with a hard slam and demands a microphone, "Give me a fucking microphone! Do it!" he says to a crewmember at ringside. "Silverback!" he says loud over the microphone, "This is not over! I am just getting started! I will interfere in every single one of your matches, so you never win, until I get back what is rightfully mine, and that is the GRR Championship! And there's nothing that you or Coach will be able to do, to stop me!" The crowd boos him more as I continue holding my knee. Hunter falls to all fours weakly next to us, holding his championship belt. Coach lets me go momentarily to try and help the weasel to his feet. Suddenly some rock music starts blasting throughout the arena. All four of us look up at the entrance ramp. Grunk walks out, once again just smiling away with a microphone in paw. "Soultiger . . . Hahaha, Soultiger! I want to let you know, you have rented some space in my head. And at first I wasn't going to do anything about it. Hahaha, but then it hit me! I have an opportunity to take this extreme promotion all the way and making it the best-built brand of wrestling today. And all I need to do is draft one very special wrestler." Soultiger leaned on the ropes with wondering interest. "Soultiger, you have the kind of attitude I need in All-Extreme." Some of the fans start to cheer while others boo because they are smelling what I think was about to happen. "So congratulations Soultiger, you are the final draft-pick, so pack your bags kitty, you are going to All-Extreme!" The fans started jumping up and down and shouting. My knee was definitely no longer hurting because the pleasure was now sinking in, and it's not my boyfriend's arm around me but the fact that Soultiger has been drafted, which mean's he's gone. He's gone from Warzone & Uncensored, he's going to the other brand, the extreme brand, and leaving this brand . . . and finally he's out of my damn fur. Soultiger looks out at Grunk with his jaw wide open in disbelief. I'm sure he's just as flabbergasted as the rest of us are. He holds onto the microphone and gets out of the ring. He's incredulous, making his way up the ramp with boots stomping and fists pumping, and he stomped past us and made way to his brand-new boss. Strangely enough, Grunk is smiling so much he even starts laughing out loud. Soultiger stood next to him; it looked like he was going to beat the hell out of Grunk. I was getting ready to get up to the stage with him but I look at Hunter, his fingers clinching back and forth like in a old-western, and he's going to get involved if there's a shootout. Soultiger says to Grunk in his microphone, "Chris, if you think--" "I like to be referred to as 'Mr. Grunk,'" he says, still smiling away. "If you think for one minute that I am going to work for a fat, nasty, garbage-wrestling slob like you, to build an expired brand like yours, then you must be even crazier than I thought. Now if you'll excurse me, I have business of my own to attend to out here--" "No, no, actually you don't. See, you don't understand, you don't work on this show anymore. You have no more business with him," he says pointing to me, "you have no more business with the GRR title. Ms. Draxa said I could draft four guys, no questions asked. And I have drafted you. So you work for me now," that smile will not come off his face. "So really, you have only two choices. You can either work for me in All-Extreme . . . or you can quit this business and never wrestle again." Soultiger was squeezing the handle of his microphone so tight I thought it was going to break as he held it up to his mouth. But all I heard was heavy breath; he didn't know what to say now because the ball was completely in Grunk's court. "You son of a bitch!" he scowls, "This company screws me! Everybody screws me! You think I'm going to let you turn me into a 'yes man'? A poster-boy for your piss-ant of an organization? Well, that's not going to happen, buddy. I'm going to say this nice and slow so that even Chris Grunk can understand . . . screw you! I quit!"       *Stay tuned for "G.R.R. All-Extreme" Coming Soon!
